The location is convenient, close to BART and in the center of town; the room is large and you can cook your own meals; there is free breakfast every day; but there is no service. Maybe in the United States, extra tips are required for services.

Located in the center of Berkeley with spacious room offering all new amenities for a complete kitchen, dining space and well decorated bedroom with high quality bedding linens. Excellent breakfast is another plus. I would definitely go back to this hotel!

It was my first time staying in this hotel and I was very happy with my stay. The room are large with all the amenities like a mini fridge, microwave, and a bathrobe. My stay came with a complimentary cup of freshly brewed coffee in the morning. The rooms were newly renovated and it was very quite at night. The hotel has an in-house cafe that serves very good lattes and pastries. The hotel was also centrally located and it's a short walk to the CAL campus and also a few blocks from the downtown Berkeley Bart (Train) station. The highlight of the stay was that the hotel was next to cheeseboard, which is the best place to get pizzas and cheese. The front desk agent was also very helpful and gave me tips about things to do in Berkeley. I would definitely come back and stay at Sens Hotel again.

I was referred to this hotel by a family friend, it was unexpected but nonetheless fabulous! Here is a blend where modern marries old world charm! Their amenities are just too many to mention! The room was quiet and sooo comfortable, everything was top notch! I would definitely go back and stay there again. If in Berkeley you need to stop looking elsewhere and stay at the Sens hotel! Their a a café below the hotel, this is what their macchiato looked like! What a wonderful way to start your day!

Very old American style, the rooms are clean and tidy. Because of the old style, the facilities in the room are different from the modern ones. The room size, bed and bathroom are smaller. Breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast, a variety of bread jams and coffee and juice, very convenient. It would be better if the price could be cheaper. The key is to be too close to the University of California, Berkeley, to go to school to work or visit relatives should be a good choice.

This hotel is designed by American architects and she is also the designer of the Chateau Khost. Castle-like lobby, exquisite indoor pool, quiet courtyard. All day coffee supply, the room is small but clean. The breakfast variety is not a lot, but it is very healthy. I like it very much, I still live this time.

We stayed at this hotel at what must have been their busiest weekend ever due to UC Berkeley’s alumni/parents weekend. The hotel was packed but service was great. One standout moment was when we found out last minute we needed a cot in our room. At 10pm or so the night manager Izzy (I believe that was his name) was on hand to not only field every request for towels from multiple guests and deliver them himself but also deliver the cot to us. The big take away is that the manager did great but it seems like the higher ups really should have scheduled more people to assist on a night that was obviously packed at the hotel. But all in all great hotel

The hotel is excellent. But hotels don’t exist in vacuums. That is to say, the area surrounding this property is in shambles. It’s always been a rough and tumble neighborhood, and I hadn’t visited for quite a while. But man. It’s rough. If walking amidst numerous homeless people with mental difficulties, many of whom spend their days screaming at passersby at the top of their lungs, is your thing, then this is the right neighborhood for you. Again, the hotel is excellent. The service was superb, the room immaculate. But I could hardly get to sleep because, even from a fourth-floor perch, I could hear most everything happening outside, including the aforementioned shouting. The police? Never. There are some grave social problems afoot, and it seems that authorities in Berkeley have other things higher on their list of priorities. So, in short, I very much recommend the hotel, but my overall rating reflects the neighborhood in which it is located and the problems that presented.

The location is a bit far from downtown Berkeley, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I was surprised that the car noise was loud on the road right in front of me. Breakfast was served in a lunch box, and if you choose the food you want, you can bring it to the room on time and eat it comfortably. But I checked out for more than 10 days, and I didn't immediately cancel my deposit.

The property i manage had damage as a result of the Atmospheric river on last Tuesday and a water pipe was broken by a fallen tree. Despite my best efforts the damage had still not been fixed on Sunday and a tenant asked if they could be put up at a hotel. I gave them two choices one of which was Holiday Inn. The tenant called the one on University Avenue in Berkeley and was told that there was a three day stay minimum. They were also quoted a rate 0f $209 a night. When I called I was told $169 a night and $159 a night with AAA discount and no minimums. I gave the girl my credit card and she swiped it and it was approved. All she told me to do was to give the tenants my AAA card number so I could get the discount when they checked in. My tenants went to the hotel and were told that there was no reservation either under their name or mine. I gave them the confirmation number given me by the girl who answered the phone. They found the reservation. Then they were told that they would have to give them their credit card so they could run it and pay for the reservation in advance of checking out ”just in case.” They were told if they wanted to use my credit card I would have to come down there that night, not the next morning, and have him swipe my card and if I did not come, he was going to kick the tenants out. Thus, I had to get out of bed at 10:30 at night and go to Berkeley. When I get there he tells me that he is going to charge my card that night for the two night stay. I told him I had already been charged and he said that he had canceled the charge because I did not accompany the tenants at checkin. Neither of us were told that I had to accompany them and being a business traveler I know that not to be true. When he gave me the receipt, he had changed the terms because I got new terms when he canceled the previous reservation and they had had an increase in demand. (The parking lot was only half full). When I asked for a copy of the receipt, which I was entitled too since he was charging me to check out before I even checked in, he refused to give it to me, telling me to ”take a picture.” I will never use this hotel again.

It's an old resort hotel, and the room alone looks a bit shabby, but the bed is still comfortable. But when I went to the restaurant for dinner, I looked around and realized that it was indeed a resort hotel. When I had breakfast, the view of the yacht pool outside the window was beautiful. Parking is also very convenient. You need to swipe your card in and out of the parking lot. Coupled with the location of the resort, there are few outsiders entering, so parking is very safe. But you need to check in first, and then drive to the building where you live to unload your luggage, because there are four or five buildings in the resort, which are very large. The most noteworthy thing is that you must buy breakfast included, which is served from 6:30-10:00. A very authentic American breakfast. Everyone orders from the menu. The typical eggs benny breakfast, Omlet, and Oatmeal are all available, as well as coffee and orange juice. A serving is worth 25+ yuan including tax, so just give me a breakfast coupon, but because someone is serving you, you need to tip for breakfast. If you don't give it, you will be reminded.
- Jillen
The hotel feels a bit old, but all the facilities are very clean and easy to use. Hotel members can also receive delicious cookies at the front desk every day! very good. You can also see this kind of wild turkey in the green belt near the hotel! I was stunned.

The hotel is located in Berkeley city center, very close to UC Berkeley campus, the BART station and many restaurants. The hotel building is a bit old but functions well. The front door of the hotel is locked all day, and you will be given a key to enter the building. This makes one feel safe and quite comparing to the motels in the around area. Check in and out was easy and fast. I stayed in a queen bed room with shared bathroom. The room is not big, looks basic, but with all necessary stuff, even with a microwave. The bed was comfortable. The sink in the room is also convenient. The curtain in the room is not big enough to protect privacy. I hope this can be improved. The shared bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Each floor has two shared bathrooms, so most of the time you don't need to wait. The shower room is a bit small though. Generally hotel rooms in bay area are very expensive. If you don't mind to share the bathroom, this hotel is definitely the best deal you will find in Berkeley city center. Of course, the hotel also has rooms with private bathroom, at a price comparable to other motels in the area. Would recommend this hotel if you have a limited budget.

I facilitated a retreat for 33 college students, all from different parts of the US. The Nash Hotel was able to accommodate all of our needs. They even went the extra mile to provide breakfast items for our large group as a complimentary gift. It was unexpected and very much appreciated. I would stay at this location for my own personal travel. It’s not a fancy 5 star place but it is clean, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the location in Downtown Berkeley is all kinds of convenient. I definitely recommend.

Budget friendly & super clean room at an old-timey but completely updated CA classic motel. Friendly, accommodating staff. They had just updated all rooms very nicely. Walkable to campus. Great, comfy king bed. Could use a sitting chair.

The main reason for staying at this hotel is that it is close to UCB. You can live here by visiting the university: you can walk to Sather Gate 15 for 20 minutes and CKC for 20 minutes. Another major feature of the hotel is its beautiful environment. The outdoor environment is like a garden villa, with flowers, green plants and beautiful houses. It is small and exquisite. The room facilities are very old, especially the carpet is estimated to have never been replaced, and it is not flattering. However, the size of the room is exactly the same for two people.

The breakfast is very simple and fixed. There is hot water to play at any time. The room is very small and there is no place for an extra bed. The hotel location is OK. There is a large supermarket not far from the supermarket. The supermarket has more fruits and food. It is a 20-minute walk from Berkeley. The surrounding area is quiet. There is a parking lot in the yard, parking is convenient, and in general it is cost-effective.
