On our way to Europe we wanted to break up the flight to Berlin with a stopover for a couple of days to experience Doha. After searching for hotel I stumbled on the Zubarah Boutique Hotel and was impressed with its presentation and also price. I booked a junior suite and then realising that we had an early morning arrival I contacted the hotel to inquire about access to our room or to pay the difference to get in as we arrived at 5.30am. I was kindly informed that they would have our room available on arrival and there would be no extra cost. They also organised an airport pick up for us. From the very beginning we were treated soo well by the courteous professional staff and even before we arrived they were prompt in answering our emails. The hotel is certainly not in the centre of the main city but with easy access to Uber it was quick and efficient to get around (and it did not cost a lot of money!). The hotel is over 5 years old but you would not know it. It is impeccably presented and looks like it was only completed in the last 12 months. Check in was effortless and we were whisked to our junior suite which was beautifully appointed and spacious. The lounge area was comfortable and the bathroom was well set out and the amenities were also great. I loved the touch of the small loofah in the shower to use as it was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The room really was the perfect place to relax and get away from the extreme heat (it is the middle of summer after all!) We had breakfast each morning in the restaurant down stairs and both mornings opted for the Arabian breakfast. This was a sumptuous feast of traditional items such as hummus, eggplant dip, traditional flat bread, fresh fruit, olives, omelette and really good coffee. There was plenty of food so be prepared to leave full! It was a great start to each day and we really loved it. Both nights after heading out we returned and also had our dinner in the hotel restaurant. The offerings were a mix local and international and we had decided as much as possible we would eat local themed foods and we were not disappointed. Dinner on both nights was fresh, creative, delightful and again there was plenty of food served. We had local delicacies including falafel, stuffed vine leaves, hummus and so much more and it was a really enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive without being too in your face and totally professional in their service. The hotel also organised a car and driver to take us on a tour of the city and to visit the Souq Waqif and this was also effortless and easy. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming and the manager and his staff went above and beyond. if you are making a stop on Doha then take a chance on a hotel that really is simply amazing!

We had a 14 hour transit at Doha. Our initial planning was to book the Doha Stopover and enjoy ourselves at one of the various luxurious hotels for an awesome bargain. Alas, due to our own fault (misunderstood the Terms and Conditions), suffice to say this did not happened. So, when we arrived at Doha airport at 5.30 am, we went to the transfer counter and were explained how the Doha stopover worked and why we also did not get a transit hotel voucher. We have 14 hours transit.. what to do??!! If we were to book a hotel on our own, we will be subjected to the hotel check in/check out time which is normally at 1400hrs, so there is no point anymore. The staff was helpful enough and helped us by calling Radisson Blu. We were very grateful that the hotel accepted the booking and the QR staff provide us with the usual hotel letter only it is on pax account. We missed the complimentary shuttle bus by 5 minutes but there was a hotel car available. The driver called the hotel PIC stationed at the airport. The guy came out from the terminal and explained to us that the bus has just left but we can take the car and pay for it. All in all, this guy is courteous and helpful and we very much appreciate it. Time was 6.45 am and we just came from 10 hours flight /1 connection. Once we arrived at the hotel, check in was smooth and we reached our room. Normally, I am very fussy about the room I am going to get. Due to fatigue , I just accepted any room . I have to say, I am happy with the room although not pleased with the view or level but since I am only staying a short while, I let it pass. As I mentioned, it was short stay, so I did not get to explore the hotel physically although I do note from the hotel directory that there are a lot of facilities and there were 2 different buildings/ wings. To have this knowledge before hand would have been good because we got charged extra because our Uber was waiting at another entrance. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for the layover.

When I checked in, there happened to be a team, and the security was very good. I saw the hotel with security for the first time. The hotel has an airport shuttle, 20 Qatar coins. When you call the hotel at the airport or ask at the airport information desk, they will let you who are waiting at the airport for a long time to find you. The rooms have electric toilets, there are no high-rise buildings outside the hotel, and the views are very good. There are introduction materials in Chinese in the room to introduce the basic situation in the area.

Quite old building first of all. Rooms are also old styled. Had a good sleep. But the bed was so soft and worn out and a long stay can bring you some back pain. The room was neat and kept in order. Toiletries were adequate. Lack of a shoe shine. The best part is the free wifi which is very fast. But you need to get separate passwords for banquet halls etc. Staff is the real part which are very helpful and friendly. Really appreciate each one of them. Buffet breakfast is average, same with lunch and dinner. But tasty. Even though not that much of items its more than sufficient. There is a supermarket just a stone throw away – Meera’s which is just on the left hand side of the exit from the front of the hotel. You can also find some small restaurants there itself if you are looking for some outside food. They have got a gym and swimming pool. Swimming pool was on maintenance and gym has also got some operating hours. I have posted photos of the timing. Have a look. Rest all a good stay.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to all the personnel working there, from Rezel at the heavenly spa reception , to Bawanta, Kareem, Micheal, Hiru, Nancy and Tara at the pool area for their amazing work, dedication and hospitality and finally to the boys at the waves bar Joel, Malance and Stephen for their amazing hard work at keeping everyone hydrated and feed. All of them beautiful people deserve a round of applause and be appreciated for what they do for keeping everyone’s visit a day to remember.

The hotel is nice and the small high-rise rooms are also very good. On the first day I went, I gave us a suite and stayed for two days and let us change other rooms. The brother who cleaned was also very serious. The front desk service was also very good. It’s just the shower that the decoration is unreasonable and the water is clean. The parking lot is free and very clean. You can enter the hotel directly from the parking lot. We charged 1433 rials, which was 33 more than the original. We don’t have any extra consumption. I don’t understand why (the original online display is 1600 rials)

I stayed at Al Madina suites for 1 month. It is located centrally on B Ring road. (About 50 m from Qatar petroleum office). Hotel is very nice and economical. Rooms are really big compared to any hotel I have seen in middle east. Staff is very polite and responsive. There are many food joints close by and getting taxi is quick and easy. Overall it was a comfortable stay for 30 days. On the negative side, the Wi-fi connection was bit slow.

For a couple of years I have been a regular guest of La Cigale Hotel, especially of La Traiteur Pastry Shop. I had always admired their work and one of my biggest wishes was to get insight of their pastry operation and meet the team. Little did i know that my girlfriend and their amazing team had prepared a special birthday surprise for me. After an amazing lunch at the Orangery Café, the F&B team congratulated me on my birthday and asked if i can join them inside. After a detailed explanation of their pastry products in the Café, the Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas joined us and soon after that he invited us to see the pastry production. I was over the moon. Before we entered inside, the lights went off and the whole pastry team sang "Happy Birthday" to me and welcomed me with a delicious birthday cake, which brought tears to my eyes. I really enjoyed meeting all of them and discussing the unique, massive and famous pastry operation. I am forever grateful for the most amazing birthday experience and the whole team of La Cigale Hotel who made my dream come true. P.S. If you still haven't tried their sweets, make sure to do so!

I'd say that my stay at the Al Najada was good. I arrived at the hotel pretty early since my flight landed early and the front desk staff were nice enough to check in early. The bed was super comfy and I was able to sleep soundly to ward off some of my jet lag. Also, I found the location superb. It was right by the souk and the museums were a few minutes cab ride -- and even a short walk if it weren't for the scorching heat -- which gave me ample time to explore a bit of the city within the limited time I had. The hotel's cafe was nice and all the staff I interacted with were warm and friendly. I'd definitely consider staying at Al Najada during my next trip or transit in Doha.

This was complimentary due to flying business class with extended layover, 9 hrs. I would think that Qatar air would do better to find a more suitable hotel for its clients. It took 90 minutes for the hotel to collect us in the designated area. This was after 2 calls by the Qatar air host at the desk. The hotel room was so,so. It is certainly unworthy of a business class passenger's customary accommodation. It was clean but the towels were not of high quality, nor were the bed linens. We asked for a wake up call for a morning flight. They did not call us, but fortunately we set our alarms. Then we waited in their courtesy shuttle for over 20 minutes while they waited for another customer. What should have been a restful stay was not.

I haven't been to the hair dryer, although Ctrip's housekeeper has asked for it many times, saying that there is no or nothing ... the breakfast is great. The party next door at night was really noisy.
