0.24km from Aalishan Indian RestaurantOn our way to Europe we wanted to break up the flight to Berlin with a stopover for a couple of days to experience Doha. After searching for hotel I stumbled on the Zubarah Boutique Hotel and was impressed with its presentation and also price. I booked a junior suite and then realising that we had an early morning arrival I contacted the hotel to inquire about access to our room or to pay the difference to get in as we arrived at 5.30am. I was kindly informed that they would have our room available on arrival and there would be no extra cost. They also organised an airport pick up for us. From the very beginning we were treated soo well by the courteous professional staff and even before we arrived they were prompt in answering our emails. The hotel is certainly not in the centre of the main city but with easy access to Uber it was quick and efficient to get around (and it did not cost a lot of money!). The hotel is over 5 years old but you would not know it. It is impeccably presented and looks like it was only completed in the last 12 months. Check in was effortless and we were whisked to our junior suite which was beautifully appointed and spacious. The lounge area was comfortable and the bathroom was well set out and the amenities were also great. I loved the touch of the small loofah in the shower to use as it was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The room really was the perfect place to relax and get away from the extreme heat (it is the middle of summer after all!) We had breakfast each morning in the restaurant down stairs and both mornings opted for the Arabian breakfast. This was a sumptuous feast of traditional items such as hummus, eggplant dip, traditional flat bread, fresh fruit, olives, omelette and really good coffee. There was plenty of food so be prepared to leave full! It was a great start to each day and we really loved it. Both nights after heading out we returned and also had our dinner in the hotel restaurant. The offerings were a mix local and international and we had decided as much as possible we would eat local themed foods and we were not disappointed. Dinner on both nights was fresh, creative, delightful and again there was plenty of food served. We had local delicacies including falafel, stuffed vine leaves, hummus and so much more and it was a really enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive without being too in your face and totally professional in their service. The hotel also organised a car and driver to take us on a tour of the city and to visit the Souq Waqif and this was also effortless and easy. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming and the manager and his staff went above and beyond. if you are making a stop on Doha then take a chance on a hotel that really is simply amazing!
