4r5tt6rr55The staff here truly has everything organized and done in real time as opposed to disarray and multiple things being piled up due to either lack of staff or lack of worth ethic shown in many young people today. Every staff member I saw or dealt with truly showed effort and you could really tell that they actually cared about what kind of job they did. If you’re an older gentleman like me you will love this place because it has “it”. aThis is the way a business is supposed to run in America, as you truly can not just see but feel the compassion to help you coming from each employee which makes this place truly feel like a home awayfrom home. So fear of, stay here a feel welcome, relax and get one of the best night’s sleep uin a hostel you’ve set hard. The little things gtruly do make a huge impact on the environment of a place and this is an “emerald” in the rough haha. You will easily see why this has been one of the longest running hotels here in Abilene. P.S. I’m not condoning this but if you youngsters truly want to experience the night life in Abilene there us a liquid store and. 24/7 Whataburger both within about 50 steps of the front entrance. As a frequent traveler ( > 2 weeks/month) I appreciate a good hotel when I stay at one. The staff of this property is in large part what make this hotel so great! Very highly recommend to any traveler, business or pleasure, single or family. The Courtyard Marriott Abilene Northeast which is connected to the Towneplace Suites is ideally located a short distance from the interstate in Abilene, TX. Rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable, always very clean and well maintained, and the staff make you feel like a guest staying at an overnight bed and breakfast with very personable and hospitable service. I am not one to generally write travel reviews unless I have had a bad experience, but this Marriott branded property stands out above the many I have visited and I feel it was worth a few minutes of my time to share.

The staff downstairs at the window is always really nice and helpful. It’s a bare minimum room though, so don’t expect any amenities. I think that they should reconsider their take on the housekeeping situation, seeing how it’s a extended stay type place for many people. Especially if you have workers or families, particularly with pets, bi weekly is just not enough. As a previous housekeeper in a hotel myself, I also have to say that the quality of housekeeping here isn’t stellar. They keep coming to make my bed and then always take an item like a blanket that’s dirty and don’t replace it. Even upon request. The last lady didn’t leave me any toilet paper or trash bags and I had to run downstairs with my baby a bunch of times to get all the items i needed. I’m not ungrateful and I know this isn’t a vacation type hotel but I feel like as a paying guest you can expect a certain minimum quality of something that comes with the room you’re paying for. Other than that it’s totally fine. Some of the guests are “interesting” and a lot of them don’t clean up after their dogs outside, even though the hotel provides doggy bags which I think is nice.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. I stayed for 2 weeks on business and also rented the Meeting Room for a daily camp for Career Exploration for young people with disabilities. The staff was so accommodating and when the room was booked in the evening they allowed us to store our camp stuff in their office and then loaded it back into the room early in the morning for us. The food at the bar is great and on our last day of camp the kind maintenance man helped us operate the grill and even volunteered to grill our hotdogs! The staff works well together and it is clean--love the kitchen features for an extended stay so that I didn't have to eat out every night. I gave 4 stars because in my room and my colleague's room the extra blankets in the closet smelled bad. I left it out to be cleaned and it was never returned. Despite this, the kind staff, nice pool, and cleanliness were definitely their strengths!

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society and our Texas Regional Conference was held in Abilene the weekend of March 5th till the 8th. Our chapter Alpha Alpha Xi, from Dallas, was a group of 17 college students and an advisor, as well as other chapters visiting from other colleges. Our weekend stay at the Residence Inn here was incomparable to any experience I've ever had. As someone who has spent her life traveling with an active duty husband in the Army, I know from years of experience what makes a great place to stay. Let's start with the friendliest, most accommodating staff I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were all like family by the time our trip came to an end, and it was a heartbreaking goodbye as we drove away in their complimentary shuttle to the airport. To Miss Kerri, you took such good care of us, and always went above and beyond to make sure we each had everything we might need at anytime. You were just so caring and I truly enjoyed our interactions with you! To Miss Anita, you were always the brightest part of our mornings! Your joyful and warm personality was infectious to our group each and every morning. We will treasure the pictures we took with you always! Now as for the Residence Inn itself, all I can say is BRAVO! This is by far the strongest, and possibly the longest and most in depth review I have ever written on any social media site. The location was beautiful, well kept, well staffed, and had amazing amenities that we did not even expect! It was nice having such a thoughtful and unique breakfast spread to choose from every day, especially as it met many of the individual needs of our very diverse group of students who had particular food requirements. The lobby, where our group spent a majority of it's time on our first and last day, due to our own travel complications, was large enough to comfortably allow us to relax for hours while waiting, as well as get our homework done with all the accommodating tables, chairs, couches, and endless outlets! Honestly, I could just go on singing their praises. This IS the location to stay at! We all agreed they deserve to be 5 star, just like our chapter Alpha Alpa Xi!!!

I used Home2 Suites in Abilene to house my Speech and Debate Team for an overnight tournament. We were late getting to the hotel because the first day of the event ran longer than we anticipated but the staff was very understanding and held our rooms for us. I rented 5 rooms to house myself and 16 kids. We had breakfast the next morning and it was delicious. I was very impressed with how quickly we were able to get everyone fed and back on the bus.

Specifically Room 204 was NOT clean. I checked the bed and fold out for bugs and the linens appeared clean. We had 2 fluffy towels and two threadbare towels so I understand they are likely replacing their inventory as they can. I am understanding about this. I have a few threadbare towels in my home that I repurpose to cleaning rags or dog bath towels, etc. Some of these need to join the ranks of cleaning rags rather than guest towels but that's forgivable to me. What is not is the complete lack of cleanliness. Behind the fold up couch bed was a red stain on the wall of something spilled or puked and allowed to run down the wall. Behind the nightstands where I was looking for electric plugs and bugs was dust. No one has ever run a vacuum attachment back there. Longer than 6 months for that accumulation to occur. There is mold on the ceiling in the bath tub like the room above is leaking right over the tub which makes you question if the tub above is going to fall on your head. The water temperature is reversed. You get lava if you select C and you get almost too warm if you select H. There is rust in the bottom of the tub by the drain. The floor tiles are cracked and a section that looked like it had tile up the side of the wall next to the tub like you find in many commercial bathrooms was completely missing with that ugly orange glue left behind on the wall so that it attracts your attention to it. You have to hold the toilet handle to flush it. The pool didn't have enough towels to appease the towel hogs who took 3 or 4 each. They are also very small. My daughter got sick after being in the pool. Enough so that we ended up at the Abilene ER to get an rx nausea med because the one I carried with us wouldn't stay down. The Dr there told us that it isn't uncommon in pools that aren't cleaned well for little ones who are more likely to swallow the water to get a transmissible virus. My face had a few breakouts that are now highly inflamed and sensitive. I've never had that experience from a pool and we did bathe afterward which is why I noticed all the issues in the bathroom. I spent an hr in there between two kids and myself. The pull out bed was broken and uneven. The cloth was ripped where the bent frames no longer fit into the couch. The couch was unable to be sat on because the bed wouldn't fully seat down into it. The cushions had stains I saw when I got close enough to put the sheets on it we had to request though my booking clearly said 4. I feel like the lady in the evening doesn't have any staff to help with these things. When we arrived and I asked for sheets when we passed by to go get dinner, I really expect them to say we'll have the crib and pull out made up for you before you return. For this price, this is what I expect. If I wanted Motel 6 service, I would have paid $55 for a room instead. My husband had told me he'd never had an issue with Comfort Inn during his travels and that's why I selected them. This one is the first disap

BEWARE that your vehicle navigation system may send you to the wrong place if you use the address on the hotel's website (1758 E I-20, Abilene TX 79601). Very frustrating but when I called the hotel they knew exactly what happened and told us to enter another address (1758 E Overland Trail) into our navigation system. It worked! THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE FIXED! Outside entry was on west side of building and the metal door was so hot we could barely touch it to open the door. The ADA room was large and the bed, pillows and towels were good but the carpet felt damp and dirty. Bath needs updating. No place to set toiletries. Tile baseboard in bathroom was dirty. Undersink plumbing was noticeably dirty. Grouting in walk-in shower appeared moldy and the tile was chipped. Could not connect to the internet through their WiFi (no problem at other hotels on this trip). Expressway traffic could be heard in the room.

Was looking for a reasonably priced hotel that allowed pets. Found Antilley Inn online but made reservation by calling hotel directly to get exact pricing. Arrived late afternoon, office lady was very nice and efficient. She had my reservation ready and check in was quick. Room was clean, king bed was very comfortable for an older hotel. Room had, microwave, small refrigerator, flat screen tv, in room coffee pot and free wifi. I was in room #109 and there was a large green space area just a few doors down where dogs could run, play, and take care of business. There is also an outdoor pool, but it was covered and no chairs or tables, so I assume in was not in working order. Antilley Inn is located near what I was told was the "hospital district" and there were several restaurants, and service station convenience stores nearby. To check out, just leave key in room and go. Access to I20 via Loop 320 was very easy. My expectations weren't high, and the overall stay exceed them. I would gladly stay here again if in the area with or without pets.

This is supposed to be a one-bedroom suite, but there is no separate bedroom. It looks a lot like the regular King room we had last night at BW. This is also one of this irritating rooms that has the TV placed opposite the bed with no swivel mechanism to view it from the couch. At least, you can turn the whole set to face either the desk or the couch. The room is clean and well-appointed. Plenty of pillows, but only two bath towels and two hand towels. There is carpeting throughout. That's probably why they charge a $25 pet fee! When we checked in, the refrigerator was full of water. Evidently, housekeeping was trying to defrost the over-iced freezer compartment by leaving the door open. I went to the front desk for some towels to blot up the water so we could use the fridge. Someone came very quickly to assess the fridge and offer us freezer space if needed. We were good and thanked her for showing up so quickly. The pet area was fenced and had all necessary bags, scoops, etc. I had to call the hotel to secure a pet-friendly room on the ground floor. They were able to accommodate me, but not for the online price! He gave the excuse that their systems were not able to "see" the promotional online prices even though I was using the Choice Hotels app, not a third-party vendor. Our rescue dog has arthritis and cannot handle stairs, so getting a ground floor room was more important than the $20 difference, but I think the front desk should have been able to book at the online price. Or change the system so one can specify ground floor and/or pet-friendly rooms without having to call the hotel directly.

I travel for work and management made my month long stay easy with affordable payment arrangements based on my pay days. The breakfast was a plus...and fortunately for myself, the hotel had a lot of traveling workers who just needed a clean room and quiet nights to prepare for the long hot days.

I was in Abilene for a college campus visit with my wife and daughter. Upon arrival the entrance was poorly lit and it was hard to tell if we were at a front or rear entrance. The lobby was deserted when we walked in at approximately 8PM, and there was a sign on the front desk that said "Manager is out assisting another hotel guest", or something to that effect. I waited 5 minutes and finally called the number for the hotel and the manager answered and said she was upstairs helping a guest and would be down in a few minutes. Once I was checked in and entered the elevator, the first thing I noticed was how dirty the floor of the elevator was - a couple of gum wrappers and other pieces of trash on a floor mat that obviously hadn't been vacuumed. Also the signage in the elevator was worn, scratched, faded, etc. e.g. (fire department info sign had been "keyed" and needed to be replaced) - a small thing that would be easy and inexpensive to do. Given that the manager had just used the elevator I know she was aware of it. The next morning, the trash and dirty mat was still there. In the King Suite room, the light dimmer over the TV cabinet didn't work so it was either 100% flood light or no light on that wall. One of the lamps by the bed had a short in it and had to be "jiggled' to get it to work. Electrical hazard? The bathroom sink had a lot of the finish stripped off of it and so it looked like the sink had been used for a paint bucket and not cleaned up at some point. It gave the appearance of being unclean, whether it was or not. The bed was reasonable comfortable and everything functioned otherwise, but the poor management of this hotel would cause me to look elsewhere next time I'm in Abilene.

This was a last-minute choices as I was driving down the road with burning eyes and definite need for a a shower and bed after hunting round the clock for 5 days. Called the hotel directly and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Anthony who was very courteous, understood that I was driving at the time and that it would be inconvenient to go through the credit card process at that time. He allowed me to just leave name and he held a room for me. Start to finish, it was the easiest 'hotel arrangement' I've experienced this entire trip (from north Oregon coast to Ballinger,TX via San Diego). The hotel is nicely appointed and room is squeaky clean. Did I mention how professional and polite the man behind the counter was? I have stayed at LaQ's before and so far, this one has them all beat by quite a bit. Granted, I still have the night to get through as well as breakfast and checkout - I don't expect any surprises. Good job guys and girls!

The hotel is 15 minutes from the airport and situated off a main road next to a large shopping mall. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance to include Buffalo Wild Wings and locally owned restaurants and off course shopping at the mall. The lobby has a very warm feel and a traditional setting for the area with Mexican Tile. The rooms are large and have a bar area with a mini fridge, microwave and sink. There is a pullout couch and TV in the living area and large king size bed in the bedroom. The bathroom is a little small and dated but very clean. The bed was soft and not too firm. The hotel has a large indoor pool and hot tub that is monitored by an attendant. There is also a small game room and even a sweet shop for the kids that also has a small Starbucks. There is a bar/restaurant that serves nightly cocktails. The same area also hosts the morning breakfast buffet which is complimentary. There is a large banquet area towards the back so be sure to check for an event if you don’t want to be disturbed. There is a small fitness room with a treadmill and cable machine. This area was closed at the time of my stay as was the game room, and sweet shop. My stay was during the opening phases for Texas for COVID-19. The breakfast was available and the pool was open as well with Social Distancing.

This is a Wyndham property. Booked a 12 day stay here. On day number three and I’m already looking for other places. It’s ACU homecoming weekend so there is nothing else in town till Sunday. First- staff here is lovely. Polite, friendly- very welcoming. Decidedly over tattooed.... but nice. The room is a sad testimony of what was probably a beauty in its day... high ceilings, wood trim, big window. But this place hasn’t been treated well or updated in ages- Stained dirty carpet (see pic)to the point where I will not walk barefoot on it. Had not been vacuumed as evidenced by the papers and plastic on the floor. Stained dirty and torn curtains that don’t keep the light out- I had to pin them shut. I stayed in room 100 which is first floor- window opened but had no screen or security bar on it. Locks were easily jiggled loose- went to Home Depot for a stick. Stained decorative blanket on the bed.(see pic) Stained chair upholstery so bad I went to Walmart and bought cheap sheets to throw over them. Bed linens looked clean but blanket duvet was thin- off to Walmart for a cheap quilt set. Pillows smelled suspiciously like someone else’s perfume... more Walmart sheets. Bed was “ok”. Not horrible to sleep on. Bathroom door is broken- drags on the floor and won’t stay open. Tub is rusted both inside and out- hair in it when I checked in so I cleaned it. Grout on the tile wall is dirty also. Fridge wasn’t on when I got there so I turned it on... knob was broken. Had to use tweezers to turn it on. A/c works well, however when it’s getting ready to turn the cooling portion on it makes an annoying clicking noise- woke me up. Ironing board- no iron Plenty of lights most do not work with wall switches so you have to go around and turn them on by hand- not a big deal but worth mentioning Bathroom toiletries smell cheap and overpowering. Breakfast the first day was what you would expect at this price point. Both hot and cold options but nothing to write home about. Despite that fact that day temps here are still in the 70’s and 80’s , the pool area was “closed for the season” . Looking at it, it looks like it had not been cleaned in some time. Fitness room not operational and looks like work was started there and abandoned. Lots of work vans parked here but no work going on. Sundries area doesn’t carry Coke products- only Pepsi (pet peeve of mine) and very limited snacks. Nothing worth buying . Water was $2. Closest exterior door to me is supposed to be locked all the time for safety- which it is- but it doesn’t close all the way unless you pull it. Oh- and because it’s homecoming weekend and all hotels are sold out, my booking.com price of $70 per night turns into $118 on Friday night. This place isn’t worth that on any night. Positives? Great staff. Truly lovely people. Great location for me. Well lit parking lot. That’s about it. I stayed at a Wyndham property once before in the 1990’s. Had nearly the same experie

My wife and I were visiting for homecoming weekend and we had booked the hotel for Friday and Saturday night. When we checked in we had apparently been given a smoking room. It was very clear as the smell of cigarettes was very deeply in the carpet. For me it was not an issue but my wife with asthma could not handle it well at all. The sign outside of our door said it was a no smoking room so we went to the front desk and asked and were told that all rooms have that sign but it didn’t apply for our room. We asked if there were any rooms we could switch to and for that night there wasn’t one but they said we could switch to a new room the next time. We agreed to that. We tried to do that then and the person at the front desk said it would be too hard to cancel the rooms for the weekend and then re-book up for the room we were in for Friday and then a new room for Saturday and that it would tie up too much money for us, but we weren’t opposed to that we just wanted to make sure our Saturday night room would be smoke free. Against there was pushback from the front desk so we let it go. Next morning my wife went for breakfast and wanted to check to make sure that was good. She was informed that when the manager got in we could make that switch. Come 9:30 we are heading out of the hotel we check again to see what the status was and the manager denied the request and said whoever said we could switch was wrong and didn’t have the right to say that. They claimed they were fully booked and couldn’t make any switches despite the fact that their website showed they had multiple rooms available, all of which showed they were non-smoking. We immediately checked out and had a new room booked at the Best Western across the street who was MUCH more accommodating. Along with the lies we were told, the rooms themselves were in bad shape. Will not even consider this hotel again.

This gem offered us an outstanding experience for an extremely reasonable price. Check-in was friendly and efficient and even offered a free drink on check-in. The room was convenient, clean, attractive and everything worked. The location was excellent for a one night stopover in Abilene. Breakfast was nothing to get excited about but was fine. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome service staff was knowledgable and kind. I was treated like a valued customer not as just another guest. That GM worked overnight and was friendly and professional. We will be staying again for Bike week and for Sturgis.

I travel for work weekly so a good rate, breakfast, hot shower and a comfortable bed are most important to me. I'm a third shifter and the room stays nice and dark without having to use a blindfold. The bed was very comfortable (soft) to my liking. Upon check-in (I believe it was the owner) was very friendly as well as the other staff. The bathroom came with Bath and Body Works Shampoo and Soap. I just wish there was lotion and conditioner as well. The towels are small and rough, more like what you would expect quality wise from a motel. The bathroom does not have a fan so the mirror fogs up but there is a hair dryer. The breakfast had almost every fresh fruit you could imagine, an omelet station with fresh brown eggs, hard boiled eggs, waffles, french toast, hashbrowns, yogurt, oatmeal, danish, donuts, bagels, toast, muffins, bacon, ham, pig n' blanket, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, water, milk, chocolate milk, coffee and more!!!! It's great not having to spend $10-15 a day on breakfast somewhere. The only downfall I would say is the overall appearance of the room. Over all furniture is really warn out. The room could also use a fresh coat of paint. Overall I can't complain for the price. They say you get what you pay for. I think if they updated the rooms the could definitely charge more.

The First Lady that checked me in was rude!! She put me in a room that said do not rent.. Got up to that room, and the air wasn’t working! It stay at 83 degrees! The lady that fixed the problem, and put us in a room that the air actually worked was very sweet. The bed was comfortable, the building it’s self needs some work done on the in side, just a little TLC, and the place will look better.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel! I reserved a queen bed non-smoking room online, and when we went to check in, they said all they had left was smoking. I told them that would not work as my husband and I both have asthma. One worker said, “Yeah, me too. I get it.” Then they said they had a nonsmoking with double beds. I asked why my reserved room was not available. They said those are just preferences I selected, not an actual reservation. I said that the website stated I had made a reservation and i had printed a confirmation page. They just shrugged. They looked a little more then said there was a room that was marked dirty, but they didn’t think it was and gave me a key to go check it. Since apparently neither of them could go... My husband went inside the room, and it was definitely not clean. We went back to the desk, and they said that they only had 1 more smoking room available. But I had been sitting in the parking lot near the entrance, and no I e had come to check in. I asked about getting the double non smoking as they told me earlier that was an option since it was past 10 and those people had not checked in and had not selected a smoking preference. Then this time they said that the person who reserved that room needed 2 beds, so they couldn’t give it to us because it was the only one with 2 beds. We called all around Abilene and Sweetwater to no avail except for rooms for $300+ per night. We went back in and decided we really had no option but to try the smoking queen room. They tried to charge me $20 more than the reservation stated. One guy told the other one to discount it, but he couldn’t figure out how and was flustered that the rate kept changing back. My husband asked if we could wait while housekeeping cleaned the nonsmoking queen room. We were told that it wouldn’t be cleaned until tomorrow as no housekeeping staff were there. My husband asked to speak with a manager, and they said there was not one there either. We walked to our room and saw a housekeeping cart outside a room. We found that odd as we were told no housekeeping was currently there. The entire balcony smelled like smoke. We walk into the room to find it was 2 double beds. I called the front desk and politely asked why the person who had not checked in couldn’t have this room as it had 2 beds. He said they no longer had the other rooms, although my husband had been standing by the window the whole time and yet again, no one else had come to check in. I hadn’t been in the room for 10 minutes and was already coughing and wheezing because of the smoke, as was my husband. We started calling other hotels, and someone at a very nice hotel took pity on us upon hearing our story and told us to come over there and she would work with us on a rate for one of their suites. Out of curiosity of the answer we would now receive, my husband called from his cell phone to this Motel 6 and asked if they had any rooms available. The worker
