Arrived Thurs 12th Hotel great location, clean rooms and lovely breakfast. Then Bratislava went on lockdown. Very scary !!! Decided to gamble and cut vacation short early as couldn’t get in contact with Ryanair. 2 girls on reception were fantastic helping us and eventually ordered our taxi. Manager also refunding us nights stay we lost. If I return for football in Nov I’ll definitely be staying here. Thankfully we got sorted in Vienna and home to Scotland last night before Vienna went to lockdown.

We were in Bratislava for the Christmas markets, and this hotel was in the perfect location, 2 minutes to the main square, and 5-10 minutes to all of the other market locations. Facilities at the hotel are second to none, great staff, top quality room (premium with terrace), spotlessly clean, big comfy bed, strong WiFi, good breakfast. Lots of restaurants and bars close by, and if you are there for sightseeing, everything is within walking distance. If there are any criticisms, they would be the breakfast times (7.30-9.30am, We managed to oversleep one morning and missed it, and the early check out (10am), although you can pay for a later check out or leave bags at the hotel after check out. These are very minor things though and did not stop us thoroughly enjoying our stay there. I would highly recommend Aplend City Hotel to anyone staying in Bratislava.

Four friends spent three nights in this town centre hotel. Christmas markets were just round the corner - and some of the best that we have visited. Street food at the market was of good quality, mulled wine available in many flavours, so warming on a cold winter nights. The atmosphere at the markets was wonderful. There are eating places nearby to suit all pockets, check them out and take your pick. The hotel was welcoming and helpful, reception staff were exceptional. Breakfasts were pleasant and enjoyable. Our very large bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable; if you are not a late-bedder it can be noisy as the bars empty, but just keep your window closed and it’s fine. Bathrooms were well appointed, great showers, bath etc. Tea and coffee-making facilities and a well stocked fridge with reasonably priced drinks and crisps. Take time to enjoy a Thai massage in the hotel, excellent masseuse and very acceptable prices. We booked the small tourist train that takes you up to the castle after giving you a tour of the town, worth using. Also booked for an opera, not expensive. It’s also easy to get around by foot.

the hotel staff were really friendly and welcoming, and gave us some tips on the local area. the room we had was quite cosy and the bed comfortable, however we had a really poor view of the back and side of buildings. it was also noisy during the night from what i think must have been the generator/heating system, even though we had turned our own room air con off, all throughout the night a generator from a neighbouring area kept switching on and off. for light sleepers like me, this kept me awake all night. thankfully we were only there for one night otherwise i would have had to ask for a room change. the breakfast was great - lots of choice and all you can eat....... the location is good also, although any hotel in Bratislava would probably be in a good location given the size of the city, so getting to the main attractions was really quick and easy. i would recommend the hotel, but would advise maybe trying to get a room overlooking the Danube on a higher level (if you are on the first floor i would imagine all you would see is the floating restaurant opposite the road).

At the time of check-in, the big brother at the front desk said that your room is relatively small. If you like, you can add money to the big room. The two of us think that we can make do with it, but the strange thing is that I don’t know why it is called a luxury apartment. It feels too different from the picture! The man’s entrance is estimated to be in the bedroom and the toilet is not small. I don’t know if it is for the Chinese. This is because the previous comments are also the case. The health is not to suck the ground, only to change Hand paper and garbage, if the budget is surplus, it is not recommended to live, because the room is too small, go to bed in the bedroom, like Japan, too crowded, check-in needs to pay city tax, the front desk brother is more enthusiastic, but reflects the pillow too High, no one is changing, sleeping straight

It has taken me a little time to write this review. We stayed in late November 2019. I am a Raddisson Gold Elite member. I booked a room with a balcony overlooking the square. I let the hotel know we were celebrating and the prior communication was excellent. On arrival, we were upgraded to one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in at any hotel in the Raddisson Group. In fact, I would say that the room itself was lovely and the view, stunning. It would be very hard to beat this room at any Bratislava hotel. There was a bottle of wine, a cake and a lovely card left, as we were celebrating a belated anniversary. The room was a mini-suite. The walk-in shower was powerful, the separate bath a delight, walk-in wardrobe was great. There was nothing to fault. The view as I have said previously was stunning. What made it even better, we watched every evening the Christmas market come to life. We could sit in the window and watch the stage show, without getting caught in the crowds. It really was magical. Sadly the breakfast staff left a lot to be desired. I have already sent feedback to the hotel on the issues we encountered. I hope they were taken seriously and some changes made, as on busy mornings to watch at least two staff members stand around and talk, whilst tables needed clearing was unacceptable. Also, the layout of the serving counter between where the food was and the seating area caused a logjam. The breakfast itself was excellent, the dining room lovely. My only wish to make this stay better would have been able to use a pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We walked a lot and to be able to relax in a jacuzzi would have been heaven. Sadly it was the only thing lacking from the experience. If it had facilities I would happily rate this hotel as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at within the Raddisson group. As it is, it is still a great hotel with very good staff (bar the restaurant staff). If I could give the experience we had a star rating I would happily give it more than the Tripadvisor 5 stars. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

This lovely little gem of a hotel was originally a 13th century Franciscan church and monastery. So think stone walls, vaulted ceilings and arched porticos with a courtyard that now serves as the hotel lobby. The lovely rooms, situated around the perimeter, offer comfortable beds and modern amenities. Breakfast is a full spread served in one of the ground floor rooms with a vaulted ceiling. In the evening drinks are available in the cozy library (complimentary on your first night). Staff are most welcoming and helpful. While we were there Kristina was our receptionist and Pavel and Joseph were the doormen. All were exceptional in arranging for taxis, showing us around town and suggesting points of interest. Located on the edge of the historic town center, the hotel is the perfect spot to explore Bratislava and enjoy its heritage.

We have stayed with my husband in the hotel for 3 nights. We were looking forward to these days because it was supposed to be our first holiday together after the wedding. Our experience with the reception at the front desk was very kindly, because we came earlier then the checkin time, but it was no problem for the staff there to give us a room. We have choose this hotel because we wanted to be near the city center, and we were really not disappointed. Everything was very near, so we see all the historical buildings and streets of the old town. Breakfast which is the hotel serving are very various, so I suppose there can't be problem for anybody to choose the right thing for him. The small issue we have with parking, since we have bigger car and therefore we can not park in the hotel garage because it is smaller, so lady at the reception sent us to the parking house which is located about one minute by walk from the hotel. Even you need to pay for it separately, they gave us during the checkout 50% discount on the price of the parking. All together I can say, that we have really enjoy the whole stay also because any kind of request over the phone was solved in a while.

We have stayed at the downtown Bratislava BB in a family room. The place is just steps to the Pension Petit. Check in and reception is done at the Pension Petit and as well as and the reception as well as Breakfast area. Out room was very comfortable, family room which for 2 adults and two kids was ea big enough and ideal. Kids had a separate smaller room. Room had a very nice veranda looking on the backyard. Being BB indeed room cleaning was every thrsee day but for short stay like us not a big issue. It is located in a very nice restored old building next to the palace and short walk to to the old down and 15 min walt to castle. The only negative, is no Elevator which can be an issue during check in/out if you have many bags. Tram and bus stop just few steps away. Breakfast was just ok and enough to start your day. For the price payed was indeed a very good choice and value for money especially for families. A good overall choice - valaue for money

Stayed here for 7 nights. Hotel was really nice and the staff were pleasant. Parking outside and a 10 minute walk to the centre. Our room was a great size with separate toilet and a bathroom with a shower in the bath, separate bedroom, kitchen with fridge/freezer and lots of utensils, cooker, microwave, table & chairs and a living room area. Had a view of the centre. Breakfast was included not a very good selection but ok. On the morning of my husbands birthday the staff sang to him & he got a bottle of wine. Would stay here again as very central for all attractions. No restaurant or bar in hotel.

A renewed modern hotel with all conveniences, but this is not why I would choose this hotel. I do have a special place in my heart for Old Grand Dame hotels. But, I did have fantastic night sleeps, and I guess that is the most important, even facing the Danube and the window open (that says a lot). My smallest complaint has to do with the lack of a place to work in the room. The shelf under the TV is way to small, and there is no chair, so I sat on the provided table. The internet was spot on without any break in service. Shower was fine, but as in other places, water does get on the floor. The breakfast was outstanding with lots and lots of choices. I was especially fond of Lucy (gosh I hope I got it right), she was just so friendly and even remembered what I liked on my omlete on the second morning, impressive. Also, we had lots of papers to sign, and we were sitting at the high wood tables and the young lady was so nice and brought us water with lime....just a good gesture.

Stayed for 3 nights bed & breakfast with spouse. After emailing them as it was an anniversary, we got to the hotel and they upgraded us for free to a privilege room, on the 5th floor, with use of the privilege lounge. It was a lovely gesture and surprised us with a bottle of fizz & chocs. Couldn't have asked for more! All the staff were friendly and helpful too. Room was cleaned daily and complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee supplies replaced. The breakfast was superb with a great choice of cold meats, cereals, cooked breakfast choices. One little gripe was the hot food was not very hot. I am not sure why hotels cannot seem to get this quite right, although the hotel was having some work done to the kitchen I think. Providing a microwave may have been helpful. Location was 10-15 min walk to the Old Town or you could get the No 1 tram outside the hotel. It was also a few minutes walk to the train station. I would definitely stay here again as the customer service was amazing and it was a super location. Thank you Mercure team!

Just stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. The hotel is about 2 miles out from the centre of Bratislava. It’s a 5 euro taxi into the centre or there is a bus stop nearby. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and no hassle. We had room 202 on the top floor. The twin room was clean and modern. Everything you could need for a nice stay was there. Great shower facilities. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The room has a flat screen tv. The hotel provides breakfast for 8 euros if you want it. The hotel location is very quiet but close enough to the city centre. Great stay in Bratislava.

I chose Hotel SET from AGODA because it offered promotion rate on the day I booked and location was also "excellent" or something but I didn't enjoy the location.  It is not located in city center. You have to take bus #39 to get to old town from hotel. Frequency is every 20 minutes and probably 5 (or so) bus stops ride.  The location of hotel is behind hockely studium. Also near Double Tree by Hilton hotel. If you take taxi, you can mention that to driver. My priority to choose hotel is location, so I should have checked the location more carefully.   When you look at building of hotel set, you might be a bit upset because it looks a bit old but inside of the hotel is maintained very well. ( Espcially room & dining area) I stayed in single room, which is spacey enough and very clean. I enjoyed it pretty much.  Breakfast is not included, which was the plan I chose. If you want to have breakfast at hotel, it is available for 10 euro. The buffet looks really nice. I think it is worth it. I visited Brastilava around new year and hocky studium was closed. There are some bar&cafes in the studium but all closed. Other than that,  there is nothing nearby. You might want to book the room with breakfast. There is a big super market if you walk 7-10 minutes, though. It is good to have nearby.    You can expect in the room - safe, stable wifi, patio, iron board, hair dryer.TV, towel, linen, AC. However, there is no electric kettle, hence you can't have coffee/tea even if you bring it with you.

I didn't hold out much hope for a hotel off the highway, in an industrial sector, across the street from the Avion Mall and Ikea, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the rooms were clean, large and comfortable, with all the amenities. The wifi was excellent. The breakfast was better than expected. And all for less than 70 Euros! And there is an adequate bar and restaurant on site. The hotel even produces its own honey on the roof, which can be purchased at the reception desk! The only negative was the television, which took maintenance to turn on, and which ultimately only had 1 English channel (BBC news).
