We recently stayed at Hampton Alcobendas for three nights (Jun 9-12) while visiting a friend who lived in the area. It’s a 10 min taxi ride from the airport (€20 approx). We Ubered it on the way back which cost €14. Uber arrived at hotel within 5 mins of being ordered. Staff at check in were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, the comfy bed was huge and the (included) breakfast was good and filled a gap for most of the day. For some reason the pool wasn’t open until my last day, and it was 36-40 degrees! (My mate seemed to think that was to do with local laws, because all the other pools in the area were also closed. No idea if this was true or not). An elderly American lady was giving one of the reception guys a hard time about the pool being closed when I arrived. Not sure why, it wasn’t like it was his fault. The pool was small (but adequate) it was very “concrete” though and in my opinion could do with some greenery around it to make it more appealing. Bar prices were reasonable for a hotel bar, €3 for a small draft and €6 for a large one. There is a very limited bar menu during the day and a slightly extended one at night, food was ok, nothing special, much better to be had out and about. I was surprised to find it busy returning after 11:30pm on all three nights I was there. Good place for a night cap. The wifi was excellent and since my company has now said we can “work from home anywhere in the world” for a couple of weeks a year (yeah I know, strange!) I’m seriously considering coming back here at some point. All in all this is a comfortable business hotel, close to the airport but with no real Spanish character. I stayed in another Hampton in Berlin a couple of months ago and this looks exactly the same. Not a criticism, it is what it is and did the job for me. Thought the reception staff all spoke great English, were friendly, very helpful and an asset to this hotel. Maybe not ideal for a visit for the centre of Madrid but it was handy for me. Very good hotel is nice and near the airport justo 20 euros to the airport is no near Madrid but is very good breakfast at 7 euros…………………………… very good rooms and comfortable . Breakfast is ham and cheese with bread and coffe ………………………………………..

European traditional hotel, facilities and services are very good. But old-fashioned hotels can be less effective. Not in the city, but it is very close to the subway station, 5 minutes walk. It's not very far to the airport by taxi. The surrounding area is clean and there are parks, suitable for a leisurely vacation.

Stunningly beautiful hotel right on the river in San Sebastian. The entrance hall is palatial. I was lucky enough to get an upgraded room, and it was huge! Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Location is excellent - it makes this hotel a perfect place to explore this gorgeous city.

Stayed in the Amura twice recently on visits to family in Alcobendas. We chose the hotel not only because it is 5 minutes walk from their home but also because of the swimming pool and free shuttle bus to and from the airport. Agree with other reviewers that tea/coffee making facilities would make it better but I have stayed in several Madrid hotels in recent years and that isn’t something any of them have offered. Both rooms we have stayed in were very comfortable although would benefit from a bit of refurbishment. However, the the location is ideal for us and we would definitely stay again on our next trip.

nice and quiet. you sort of feel like you are in a bomb shelter but remember you are in the lower level of an airport. wifi sucks but it sucked all over Barajas so not just the hotel. other than that. the bed was comfy (mattress on the firmer side but still very comfortable.)i would highly recommend them. but book early they are full almost ever night. you will not get a room last minute. we checked in at 1300 and the sign was up saying all rooms are reserved.

Holiday Inn Express Madrid - Alcobendas

Read before deciding to stay here So arriving in madrid I wanted to use public transport to get to this hotel however the nearest station to this hotel is la granja no one has ever heard of this train station and didn’t know which line I had to take I took the train from the airport and went to atocha which seems to be the main train station for all lines then no one knew where I had to go I ended up getting a taxi which cost me €40 arrived at the hotel which for a budget hotel is good enough I paid £62 through ba holidays which Inc breakfast the room was okish had twin beds there’s a telly the air con I couldn’t work it out seemed to blow warm air!!! Bathroom was a good size however the shower was terrible hot water but the pressure was awful there’s dove amenities avail in the bathroom which was nice the fact we came here and the heat was really hot I could of done with cold air as the room was quite stuffy !! The hotel location if u don’t have a car is Terrible and not much to do if u want to eat there is a tapas restaurant at the ibis hotel which is across the road but that was really expensive so stopped there for a few drinks also get complimentary olives and nuts which was nice there is a food outlet over the motorway called heron diversia but u have to get a cab there cost €7 there wasn’t much in food wise there which I found really disappointing no tapas!!! Ended up at Tgi Friday which wasn’t anything to rate about either The breakfast at the hotel was simple wasn’t anything to sing and dance about personally wish I stayed in central madrid tbh but I was only here for 1 night!!!
