This hotel is pretty no frills before COVID. Now, it's REALLY not worth the price. it isn't near anything; you have to drive to get anywhere. The hotel texted before we arrived with a welcoming message then after ask about our stay. I responded that I was unhappy (price vs pretty much zero frills) and they asked what they could do to make it better. I responded "how about a discount?" but just got the managers disclaimer type excuses. I responded that, it really didn't matter to me as I don't need the money. They asked, I answered. But then the manager seemed to want a text argument with me to justify his lack of desire to remedy my impression of the hotel. Very low brow. But eh, I blame myself. I should have just stayed at a nice hotel downtown. They were just a few bucks more. We stayed there for nostalgia; we'd stayed there as a last minute hotel once before. Oh well... live and learn.

I had a reservation at this hotel for March - looks like they’ve had some delays and are now opening second week of March. The way they proactively communicated this was helpful. I’m staying at another hotel early March, but look forward to staying here later in the month. Thank you kind staff.

This was arguably the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. My friend and I stayed last November at this hotel for one night. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 9:00pm in the evening. There was no parking in front of the hotel and we parked towards the back where it appeared there was ample space. Upon check in, there was no direction provided about where it was appropriate to park. In the early morning the next day, I found that our vehicle had been towed. It was only then did I see small white signs where we had parked that said "Perkins Parking Only", which is the restaurant there. While I understand the signs were there to be seen, it is not overly clear where this dividing line is between hotel and restaurant parking. Upon going back inside, the lady at the front desk advised that towing does occur for hotel customers and when I asked if she could give me the number for the tow company she told me to look on the signs outside with no concern for our situation. After taking a cab to go to the Nelson's towing, we spoke to the gentleman working for Nelson's and asked how often cars get towed from the Perkins spots by the Fairfield because it seemed like a mistake that could easily be made. He told us this is something that happens ALL THE TIME. After expressing our dismay of why the hotel did not tell us this could be an issue, what we were told next by the tow company worker was shocking and appalling frankly. He told us that the Perkins has asked the Fairfield on many occasions to let their customers know of this or provide them with parking passes. Apparently, the Fairfield has simply refused to take either of these simply measures. The reason why this lot is monitored so closely is because the Fairfield is right in the heart of bar district in downtown Spokane. Not only does the Fairfield fail to advise their customers regularly of this issue but the also refuse to take any steps to ensure their customers do not get towed. Although I have not seen any refuses on this site bring up this towing issue, I have to think it is because customers blame themselves and they were not fortunate enough to stumble across this information as we had in our conversation with the towing company's employee. It is gravely concerning that a reputable hotel chain under the Marriott umbrella is doing this. Our total charge for the tow was $380 from Nelson's because it was a weekend. There were other minor instances of poor customer service prior to the towing issue that I don't intend to note because they pale in comparison to this egregiously poor conduct from the hotel. We followed up with the hotel with our concerns about this. They responded that they were not responsible for covering our towing costs and only agreed to reimburse our one night stay at the hotel. We brought this higher up the chain to Marriott overall and they essentially responded that the Fairfield Spokane is a franchised property, which is independently o

The room was the smallest i think in have ever stayed in. Not so small it was cramped tho. Quite cute decor. Very clean. I want to take the mattress home was so comfy. There is a lighted makeup mirror and nightlight on the hairdryer.the rooms have balconies with sliding glass doors. The cold didn't come in but could hear road noice a bit more. Not bad tho. The breakfast is very minimal but they do have one. There is an outdoor pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. One of Spokane's best restaurants is across street. I have two cons...the underground parking is closed during snow. Understandable. But the available parking really needs cleared. It was only cleared right at entrance and no sign of deicer anywhere. Walking through the lot was bad. The other is the hot water never came. I let it run over 10 min on only hot and never got past like warm. Sorry that is not acceptable and may keep me from returning. Fix that hot water and it will be a great cheap clean safe downtown stay.

As the oldest hotel in Spokane, one might assume that the Montvale is a little under scale. However it has an uplift of some kind. The entry and upstairs lobby are beautiful. The vintage decor faithfully represents the theater District in which the hotel is located, without being over-the-top. You could invite your friends who weren't staying there but who came to the theater with you, for a cup of tea or a BYO in the excellent lobby. The rooms are well-appointed; bathrooms are large, and all the necessities are provided while also being conscious about saving energy or water. The coffee and tea kiosk just down the hall has excellent teas and good coffee, and sometimes local baked treats. The floor level of the building of the hotel has two good restaurants adjoining, and in the basement is an excellent cellar bar and restaurant. Being so close to the Fox and other theaters makes it particularly valuable, but as well it is within a couple of blocks of the heart of downtown. Many many more restaurants most local, as well as many other larger hotels. I strongly recommend the montvale, and many of Spokane's interesting places to eat and hang out. I hope the current virus situation does not negatively impact the the lovely vibe that Spokane has, and that the Montvale so wonderfully reflects.

Had booked the Room through Snaptravel Paid $150 for the Room was told that was a great deal come to find out they only charge 113 for the Room I checked in on September 19th at a little bit after 3 was asked for ID and debit card my confirmation email had told me the only needed my ID so I gave them my ID and debit card and when I checked out on September 20th at 11:00 a.m. got home and checked my bank account statements to find out I had been charged 3 × 2 times by Best Western self and one time by the snap travel agency on a side note it was also supposed to be a look Winter through the agency I use and was not ended up being a Best Western plus which does not bother us beings how we enjoyed our stay but in very frustrated with how they handle finances Display count is used for certain things only therefore we only have an allotted amount of money say back for this now I have multiple Overdraft charges today at roughly 2:30 p.m. young lady had inform me when I called that they were able to refund the charges on their end so I said OK and thank you got off the phone looked at my bank account and notice that she only reversed one of the Best Western charges there should not be 1 single charge on my count for Best Western it was already paid in advance through snap travel I really hope that they can fix this issue.

We had never stayed at the Lusso. We decided to stay the night for an event we were attending and we were not disappointed. The accommodations were very nice. They have a workout area if you want to stay in shape. You may use the pool across the street at the Davenport. They had a shuttle we used to get to our event. Everyone was super nice. There is parking but I think it was $20/night for valet. I think the only downside is that the location does not allow for much of a view. We just stayed the night, so it wasn't important to us. If you are staying longer or wish to have a view, you will need to ask the staff for the best rooms. The staff were all very nice!

The hotel is a century-old hotel, the first floor is the restaurant and bar, the restaurant has good breakfast and dinner, especially the steak is delicious, because the American beef is also very good. The room facilities are very good, the bed is very soft and the sheets are changed every day. And the hotel does not charge for the tip we cleaned. The second floor of the hotel can be visited and the tour fee is included in the room rate. The hotel is decorated in a European style.

Overall our stay was very pleasant. The front desk staff was very friendly. The hotel was beautiful, they are still remodeling but that wasn't an issue. The rooms were spacious and the location was perfect. We stay to attend the Blake Shelton concert at the arena and it was a quick 5 minute walk over. Our only complaint would be the service we received in the restaurant. On Saturday night they were extremely business so we chalked the wait time and service up to that. However, the next morning we went in for breakfast and we received the same poor service as the night before and there were only about 12 people in the restaurant that morning. I had to flag down someone to get menus. Then I had to go get someone to take our order. There were several staff member wandering around but they paid no attention to us. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay and we would stay again but we'd eat elsewhere.

A ZERO isn't an option, and people giving more than a 1 are clearly not holders of standards of any kind. 1) I'm pretty sure my sheets were dirty (hairs, many of them!!! Ew), and it was too late (no one in office at 11pm) to switch and "no refunds" was posted when I checked in earlier, but didn't inspect the room due to an event. Thank god I had 3 blankets in the car that I laid on the bed. 2) The bathroom floor was beyond filthy (the tiles)! 3) A lot of sketchy individuals live here, rent here, hang out here. 4) There are cigarette butts everywhere on the property grounds as well as active smokers. 5) No one in office, and the lobby was locked tight when I checked out at 8:45am, kinda slacking off don't ya think?! 6) The room smelled so poorly. 7) Nasty plunger left on plastic bag on bathroom floor. 8) Toilet has issues flushing. 9) Mildew on shower curtain. 10) I recorded a cockroach crawling across the floor in the morning after I knocked it off my bedside table. 11)I'm 5'7" and the shower head was so low I had to duck! Thank goodness my 6'2" husband wasn't on this trip! 12) So many stains on carpet, I had to leave my shoes on at first and then put down towels to walk barefoot in the morning to dress. The carpet left black marks all over the towels, it was beyond disgusting, and should be removed not just cleaned. There is NO amount of steam cleaning that could save that carpet. 13) No clock, and no place to plug in a charger easily on either bedside. 14)Door was hard to open and close. 15) The air/heater was extremely noisy. 16) There is a train track that is busy all night but it's good because the air/heater almost muffled the sound in my room which thankfully didn't butt up against the tracks like the other wing of the "hotel." Honestly, this place should be condemned and bulldozed! I am shocked it's such a disgrace. There is budget, and then there is just unacceptable!!! I'm seriously traumatized by this place.
