Comfortable room and bathroom was very nice! The shampoo and bath gel provided smelled amazing. Very close to the airport. We took the free shuttle from the airport. You must call me the hotel once you get your baggage. If your phone is set up for WiFi calling you can connect to the free airport WiFi and do it this way. They answered on my third call. Told me where to go for pickup for my terminal. Shuttle was scheduled to arrive in 28 mins at that point. We picked up some burgers at the airport Burger King for dinner and glad we did as it seemed quiet around the hotel and we were too tired to explore. Check-in was easy. hotel staff very nice. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. The shuttle starts running at 6am but our flight was at 7am. I called an Uber and it was only €4.50 for the quick ride. Very good place for our one night stay between flights.

I love this hotel. The staff are very friendly and even help me to learn Spanish! The hotel is small enough to be peaceful and very pretty. It's near the metro but in a lovely part of Madrid. It's really good for solo travelers, the breakfast is well worth it, the pool is fabulous. It's t perfect place to relax and see Madrid from. It's not a busy place for Nightlife but you can go out easily if you want from here. The beds are big and I love the rooms. I can't fault this hotel for a place to relax and hope to come again and again. Thank you to the manager and all the staff.

I booked for one night before departure, and two days before they informed my credit card was rejected and when I tried to contact them they just cancelled my reservation. Obviously my credit card had no problem. Indeed I was on a two-week trip through Europe, and none of the other 5 hotels did this to me, just this one. I booked at the Melia and it was so much better.

The hotel room on the first floor has a small garden, which is very good! Very Spanish local specialty hotel, located in a residential area, the room offers free capsule coffee! The room is not big, the breakfast is good, but there is no hot food, it is quite good! The biggest missing this time was that the next day's shuttle bus had been booked at night, but in the morning it was actually said that there was no reservation! Affecting the follow-up itinerary, I had to take a taxi to the airport by myself. The shuttle pick-up needs to call the hotel to pick up people at the airport.

When it comes to traveling, whether for leisure or business, booking the right hotel with suitable facilities and located at the right location for a reasonable price can be notoriously tricky. When reading reviews, it's also important to remember. While some people prefer hotels away from the hustle and bustle of the City, others prefer to stay right in the heart of the City. So the choice of a room depends a lot on your personal preferences. With that in mind, if you are the type of person happy to stay a metro ride away outside of the City, this is the perfect hotel, and the staff was terrific. If you let the hotel know in advance, they will pick you up from the airport via a shuttle or Uber, which is about a ten-minute ride. Upon arrival, check-in was swift, and there was a pool to relax by after sightseeing which is a rarity in Madrid. There is also the option of a breakfast buffet for 12 euros. Location Football fans can take a 20-25 min walk to the Metropolitano Stadium, home of Athletico Madrid. For sightseeing, you simply need to turn left outside of the hotel and head to the Canillejas Metro Station. From the machine, pick up 1 x 10 journey metro ticket. If you are a couple, you can share it with your other half and pass the card back to your other half. From the Canillejas Metro Station, take Line 5 straight to Gran Via. It's around a 25-minute journey with no changes. When you leave the Gran Via station, it brings you outside a Mcdonald's, and you are right in the heart of the City. There is an easy-to-use mobile app where you add your destination and current metro stop, and it gives you the route, so it's nice and easy to get around. Back in the hotel, there aren't too many restaurant options around, but the Restaurante Goterón offers a great fixed menu that can be found on its Facebook Page. There is also the option of Uber eats if you are too tired to go out and a few nearby shops to pick up late snacks. Once again, the staff were terrific and had a solution for any problem I had, from opening a bottle of wine for me to the option of paying 30 Euros for a 4pm late checkout as our flight was in the evening. Overall An affordable hotel that is a 25-minute metro ride into the City and has a pool to relax by with great staff and transport o and from the airport are just a few reasons why I would recommend this hotel and choose to stay in again should I return. A big thank you to all the team who helped make our stay enjoyable.

I checked in and the staff gave me a wrong room key and I ended up walking in on a woman naked, staff insisted on speaking bad English when I already said I don’t mind speaking French or Spanish if they preferred. I had an accidental wake up call at 5am, and I needed to get some sleep. I had room service coming in on me and even when I said do not disturb, I was naked!! The mask obsession in Spain is hard enough as it is and stupid. It seems like the hotel has many “mask police” walking around. What a weird hotel, I will not be making a return to this establishment

The hotel probably was built in the 90s so the facilities are a bit worn out. But we had a very comfortable stay there. The hotel is quite clean and staffs are friendly. Good value if you need to catch a morning flight. They don’t offer the free shuttle bus to the airport anymore but the subway is very close by, 3-4 minutes walk. The food in the bar restaurants can be improved.

Can be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

Part of a hostel. Bedroom is small with worn out built in robes. There’s ironing board with no iron. Living area is spacious. TV only has Spanish programs. Kitchen has fridge, electric cooktop, washing machine, dishwasher, pots & fry pan, plates/bowls, kitchen utensils. No dishwashing powder for dishwasher, nor washing machine. One problem is there’s no power point in kitchen area for benchtop electrical appliances. For some reason the electrician didn’t connect any power points next to benchtop. We had to use the kettle, toaster & coffee machine at the power point next to the floor. Even the staff couldn’t explain why. Maybe only in suite 306. Staff has to defrost the fridge as it’s slowly building up ice. 3rd night was a bit noisy from nearby till early hours of the morning not sure from nearby neighbourhood or from hostel. No tea/coffee/milk provided. Stayed 3 nights with no housekeeping done. Good location facing road leading to Plaza Mayor. It’s a very busy street. Not very clean with lots of rubbish & homeless people sleeping around the place. Other streets much cleaner & some with beautiful buildings.

The Location was excellent but to find the hostel itself was horrible. There was totally no sign to indicate that the hostel is within an office building without any sign of the hostel name and we had walked around the whole plaza and still couldnt find the address no 1. The hostel cannot be contacted with the phone given and thankfully after finding the info counter that we find the place. However, even within the building there is nothing to indicate which level is the hostel as the building info desk was not manned at that time. There were a couple of pickpocket who followed us entered the building pretending to help us and led us going to different floors to confuse us and managed to get away with my passport cover stolen thinking that it must be my wallet. It was a very tiring and frightful experience just locating this hostel due to lack of hostel signboard and communication from the owner despite writing to them for direction.

ACCESS : hotel is ~ 200m from Herrera Oria Metro stop - exit at the Herrera Oria exit, the alternative leaves you 50 m further away and downhill. From this metro station Madrid centre is 30-45 minutes away, at a cost of €2. ROOMS : very spacious, separate bath, shower, toilet, 2 wash basins, microwave BREAKFAST : fresh orange juice for every table, good range of pastries, bread, meats, eggs, - very good OUTDOOR POOL : 13.5m diameter, good for swimming, ~180cm deep everywhere so not really child friendly, sun blocked after about 6pm, open strictly 10.30am to 8.30pm, plenty of towels and loungers GYM: best you will ever see in a hotel, looks like it was once a thriving sports club with turnstiles but Covid probably killed it - now 4 rooms of every machine you could ever want. Indoor pools were drained - maybe they will be refilled in the autumn when the outside pool closes RESTAURANTS : Taberna La Illustracion is a 10-15 minute walk - run by mother an daughter - delicious food at a great price (€40 for 4 drinks and salad starter + main). Alright is America style restaurant - good, and only place where English was used. Several smaller cafes in the area offering standard 'raciones' - all good. Great hotel for exploring Madrid from.

This review is for 60 balconies iconic. So, a surprise for me, after reserving on booking.com, is that this is an apart hotel. Positives - the location is AMAZING and the room (we had an appt for 3 people) was EXCELLENT . Staff were very helpful. Very clean throughout. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. A gorgeous breakfast was delivered every morning. Bread, fruit, yogurts, cereals… Negatives - pool (which had workmen upgrading the roof terrace) was freezing. Naturally, not heated, but attached to hose from mains water. Icy. Personally, not a fan of the frosted glass doors/walls to the toilet. We had a large teenager sleeping on the pull down single bed. Was a bit small. Positives far outweigh the negatives. As long as you don’t have your heart set on swimming, you will not regret staying here.

One of the best hostel I've ever been to. The 8-people shared bedroom was BIG, with beds safely distant. The overall cleanliness of the host was good, the atmosphere was great (with sangria parties going on every night downstairs and Madrid tours every morning) but the best part was the staff: super friendly and ready to help you. The Italian girl working at the reception was lovely! She recommended lots of her favourite restaurants and they were so good. Thank you so much!

What to say about Bergantin? Well, you feel so welcomed , so safe, and you are close to everything, as well it is so nice and cozy. It is true that it can be hard to sleep due to the noise from outside, but if you mind that, then do not choose any hotel in Centre of Madrid. Whomever wants to be in the Centre will find it hard to sleep anywhere so please choose something else instead. This hotel has nice rooms, it is clean, and the staff is JUST AMAZING!!!......amazing. I have been there 3 times this year in 5 months.And last year as well was there. Thanks to Cesar, Kati, Javier and a nice cleaning lady. Cannot wait to come back!!!! I stayed in this hostel for 2 nights and it was nice. Room, hall, bathroom, kitchen are all clean. I did not face any issues during my stay. You will find everything you need in the kitchen they even have free coffee. When you go out, there's food options just few steps away, theres groceries, metro station - Tirzo, coffee shop. The receptionist (Josephine) is very kind and helpful she also plays nice music. They let me leave my luggage after check out so I can have more time to explore the city. Over all this place is very nice no issues at all and very safe.

Oh goodness where to start.... After a couple of weeks of traveling we were ending our trip with a night at the AC Hotel near the airport for ease of travel the next morning. We arrived and met Carmen, she is AMAZING! Bottom line when my friend made the reservation she made it for October 30th, not October 29th, and the hotel was full. After some mad typing and serious looking on the computer Carmen found us the very last room in the hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, and really comfortable, very sad we were only able to enjoy it for one evening. DON'T USE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE!!!! So, the next morning, we used the airport shuttle service, OMG! The shuttle driver the next morning if it was on a rating system the star would have to start with a negative. She was unkind, unhelpful, and REALLY RUDE! Be aware when you are using this service you better do your research and know the specific terminal you are flying out of, not the airline, as she will rain hell down on your head. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times this year when flying to / from Madrid airport. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in is always a breeze. I think a chap called Ruben dealt with my check in on my most recent visit. He is a credit to the hotel. The airport shuttle bus is easy and quick. Nothing is ever a problem at this hotel. I look forward to returning at the end of September for another stay following my trip to The States.

I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. A total tim because we pay for a hostel and gives us is ”pension” for calling it in any way. I would not come back or recommend anyone who would think to spend a night there. To finish we should have a private bathroom and we meet with a griff in The room with good understanding is over the words.
