Tarona guesthouse is situated within 5 min walk to the coast line (left hand side having the doors behind you) and 3 min walk to the bus stop (right hand side) where you have plenty of buses (excellent transport connections for affordable weekly tickets non limit drive), passing by pubs, shops, post office, Strabuono (Starbucks like logo) on the way to the bus stop. The opposite direction will lead to the beach and complex of restaurants and shops where all tourists and locals come along to enjoy or relax. Tarona guesthouse provides a very nice service and plenty of coffee for breakfast so enjoy! :)! :)

We have booked all-inclusive holiday via your website. Considering the current situation with COVID-19, after arriving Malta were put into 14 days the quarantine - but knowing that we have the highest level of service paid for we expected that we still would be able to enjoy our holiday even when staying in the hotel. However, we couldn’t be more wrong. First impressions of hotel very dated and smelly. The staff in the hotel was not customer friendly, the quality of the service was below the bad. Hotel and area it is in are so filthy it's put me off visiting Malta ever again. All-inclusive was a proper joke! Travel company must visit this hovel and seriously review where they send their clients. Day 1 – 13/03/20 FRI We have arrived to the hotel around 5pm, after check-in we went to our room. On that day we haven’t received any food or drink. The tap water was not drinkable, there was no kettle in the room either. Day2 – 14/3/20 SAT The breakfast was brought to our room – it was 1 toast with ham and cheese (no butter in!) and a croissant bun. The “meal” included 2 small take away coffees. We haven’t received any other drink. 12:47 – lunch – baguette bun with minced meet and fries and one chicken drumstick the second tray contained cooked from frozen vegies, 4 dumplings in tomato sauce and some noodles in spaghetti sauce. We have received also 2 bottles of water (0.3l) and 2 apples. There was no other food or drink provided on that day. Day 3 – 15/03/20 SUN The breakfast was brought to our room – it was 1 toast with ham and cheese (no butter in!), small cupcake a croissant bun. The “meal” included 2 small take away coffees. We haven’t received any other drink. We have not received any lunch. I have contacted the reception to find out why we haven’t received any other food – as a response to this at 17:30 we have received some food. It contained some unknown type of meat, fried potatoes, some vegies, and was cold. We haven’t touched this as it looked and smelled disgusting. I have contacted reception in order to get some kettle – as it was not provided in the room. And we have no drinks provided at all (tap water was not drinkable). As we had All-Inclusive option we have also asked for tea, coffee and sugar – we were told what we are not entitled to have those things as the hotel is not providing room service facilities. We got the number to the shop next to the hotel – so via WhatsApp we have purchased some basic goods from there (coffee, tea, sugar, some fruits, butter, bread, cheese and ham) and the goods were delivered to our room, we have paid by cash. Day 4 – 16/03/20 MON The breakfast was brought to our room – it was 1 toast with ham and cheese (no butter in!), small cupcake a croissant bun. The “meal” included 2 small take away coffees. We haven’t received any other drink. We have not received any lunch again. At 5pm I have contacted the reception to find out why we haven’t received any other food again. And I said that I

Just returned from a week half board at this very pleasant hotel. We had 2 rooms and both were very nice. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms with showers and balcony overlooking the pool area. There is also a fridge in each room. The towels could be changed for clean each day if required and the sheets changed midweek. Breakfast was a choice of full cooked, continental or cereals with as much or as little as you wanted. Each evening meal there was a choice of at least 4 different mains with accompanying veg also a salad bar and plenty of desserts. The pool area was clean and tidy with sunbeds and cafe style seating. The sun was prominent in different areas around the pool pretty much all day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building work we had been advised about was unobtrusive and caused us no problems at all. I had been wary of what to expect after reading some of the reviews, but can honestly say we had a great stay. Yes some of the decor is a bit tired and the fan In the room a bit noisy. The hotel was probably only about half full due to current travel restrictions, so it might be a bit crowded in the dining room or pool area when full. All in all we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel; the staff are friendly and helpful and the whole place is maintained to a good standard and is noticeably clean throughout. We did self catering and stayed in a good-sized studio apartment with a balcony. The kitchen was well equipped with a good oven, 4 hob rings, microwave, toaster, kettle and a fridge with small freezer compartment. Hotel facilities: as we were here in Feb it was too cold to use the rooftop pool, though it was available for anyone who wanted to use it. We instead used the indoor pool which we found to be a real bonus. The on-site shop and laundrette were also very handy additions. A shopping bag of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water is left in your room for when you arrive - you don’t have to keep any/all the items but it was a nice, thoughtful touch. You pay for what items you want on departure. The sauna was 7 euros for 30mins and the small gym was 3.50 euros per day. The bar area was pleasant, well priced and showed European football. Overall the hotel is good value for money and well located within Bugibba - we will definitely go back.

I have visited Malta this February and stayed in Buccaneers Boutique Guest House. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this Guest House. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was very good. Try the local dishes for a good price

Stayed at the oriana hotel near the end of july for a week and had a very pleasant time whilst there. The room was spacious and cleaned well. The reception staff were all very friendly, polite and asserted to any questions we had. The hotel is also really close to bus stops which take you directly to Valletta. There are some really nice restaurants nearby and is about a 5-10 min walk to Bugibba square where there are further shops and restaurants. Also there is a very convenient small grocery shop next to the hotel with all the essentials you require such as bottled water, snack, soaps etc. If you are in need of a good hotel to stay in during your time in malta where you’ll mostly be out during the day exploring. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a difficult review to write, under the most difficult circumstances. We previously had three holidays this year, due to the pandemic. We finally managed to book a holiday at the Gillieru in August. The hotel has reacted superbly with regarding, cleanliness, and sanitising .Masks worn by all staff, and guests wore masks in public areas,we were totally impressed by all the measures taken Regarding our stay this time obviously the hotel was a lot quieter, but we still enjoyed ourselves, great breakfast with reduced staff who coped admirably.Pool Bar was well looked after by Joyce and Tania.Cafe Carmelo was also a welcome oasis in the heat of Malta thank you Dawn.Housekeeping was up to the usual good standard, and once again thank you to the lovely Mary Rose on reception, there seems nothing about Malta she doesn’t know about. Also thank you to all the other staff in all capacities we came across but don’t know by name, maybe the management could remedy that by name tags. Once again Malta thank you for your hospitality and I hope we have a virus remedy in the near future and we all can get back to some form of normality. The Ottoman Empire and the Axis were seen off by you,I have every confidence you’ll do the same to Covid. For us now 2 weeks quarantine at home in Scotland....it was worth it
