Spent three nights at the hotel and very pleased with the hotel. Staff very friendly and professional. Rooms clean and provide all you need from toiletries to tooth brush and paste. Free coffee machine in foyer...a theme that runs in a few Japanese hotels. Breakfast interesting for both local and Western versions....especially the raw egg in local provision....shock when I tapped it open. Would recommend for basic, clean and short stay break.

A very cost-effective hotel passing by from Mount Aso to Hakata (about an hour and a half by car). Free breakfast is provided. Although it is relatively simple, you can get enough. The hotel’s facilities are relatively outdated, the rooms are very small, and there is no space after opening the 20-inch box, but the location is very good. There is a free parking lot directly opposite the hotel. There is a Jusco and a makeup shop next to it. The front desk service is very good! Can use a little English to communicate, there is a laundry room at the back of the lobby,

The usual yukata and slippers and self serve amenities, but small touches like tiny cookies lovingly caressed by thin decorative paper in a glass jar (I didn't unscrew the little cap as they looked so cute), someone went to the trouble of placing a little rabbit sticker on the corner of the plastic bag containing a hair ties adorned with a pink plaid button, pink walls, slip in duvet sheets. Little whale stickers on the ground - big ones for bigs steps and small ones for small steps. Staff are absolutely lovely! Friendly, personable, great conversation with the barista/manager/general person who had great spoken English, other staff pretty good with combination of hand gestures and pointing and much smiling. Breakfast was good, open plan, with view of river, we didn't have dinner, but dining hall big with small areas divided for each group. In hotel Onsen was cute, inside and small outside option, with dry sauna Coffee/lounge area further past check in counter and in-house store - All day home make cookies of several varieties - 3pm onwards - speciality coffee being made to order Rest of the time, self serve Collection of vinyl albums and reading area, also desk area Beautiful to watch sunsetting Not much security to speak of, can enter in from porch, but small town feel, lady left her wallet on the table and left the area Only gripe was conditioning unit was dusty

10〜I knew that fireworks were going up in the Mikuma River on the weekend of November and stayed to show my 3 year old child. The room was on the river side so I could see fireworks nearby from inside the room. It was only 5 minutes, so we didn't expect much from adults, but it was really good with the power and the number of balls that betrayed the expectation! There seems to be a plan to see from the ship, but we enjoyed it enough from the room. The hotel itself seems quite old, but the room is renewed, clean and spacious and comfortable. However, the toilet bath felt quite old. The meal was only breakfast, but the variety was rich and delicious. Bread, drinks, rice, raw *, etc. were self-free. I didn't have a meal for a 3-year-old child, but I had rice and miso soup, and I had enough adults. The next day, I was doing an event that I could ride for free to tuk tuk, so I tried to ride from front of the hotel. I went to the bean field and returned to the hotel, and both adults and children enjoyed the streets. If you do it, it is recommended. There were many children's toys in the lobby that could be played even for 3 years old. Also, the free service of coffee tea was good because the time was long!

I stayed here for two days in December of 2019. Very clean, very quiet, and beautiful grounds. There was a river just outside my window with rapids for a gorgeous sound. The hot spring baths were hot and clean. Very nice. The staff were so incredibly polite and very patient with my lack of Japanese. The food was very good, too much for me actually. I would have happily stayed here a month!

Very suitable for bringing children. The grandfather at the reception had a translation machine and asked me if I was Korean. The hot springs are superb, but remember to have a good meal, otherwise there will be nothing around. You can buy more food in the past. The service was super good, and the milk next to the hot spring was delicious and the bed was comfortable.

The minute you walk in, you relinquish your shoes. Everywhere is tatami and so we walk in our socks or indoor shoes, an immediate plus and relaxing moment. Our room was called The Annex. It is apart from the hotel. The Annex is Japanese with tatami and western beds, very comfortable. When we approached the front door, the views off the private garden were gorgeously dramatic mountain cliffs and there are views of other mountains and the stream from the other side of The Annex as well. Spacious and open and extremely comfortable. While many rooms come with a private dining room in the restaurant, the private eating room associated with the Annex also has another private garden with views of the mountains. A small note: All liquids in the frig are complimentary, nice touch! The service was excellent, well trained. The food was delicious even though we have many dietary limits - like no meat, pork, heavy oils. They accommodated our restrictions with delicious, fresh fish and vegetables and fruit. The onsens, even though public access as well, were clean and designed beautifully. We've been to many ryokans this year, mainly in Kyushu since we live here. This onsen had the most beautiful facilities - and the views were drop dead gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the view from the onsen with the lounge chairs in the steaming water - and what an amazing onsen that was!!! After much thought, the only downside is the outdoor tub in the Annex, which is really not an onsen since it used chlorinated water and the two of us had to squeeze in. Having said that, we already booked our next stay in the spring and cannot wait to return.

I can't believe that any site is highly admired. It was described as "this trip is a special trip for customers" and I was looking forward to it because hospitality was highly appreciated, but I was very disappointed. The rooms we stayed this time are 1 people with an open-air bath 3 million yen room. It seems to be a luxury inn, but it is not suitable for the price except for the location. It is also convincing that the word of mouth of those who stayed well in the inn of the same price range was not good. I don't think the staff education is well done. I heard a big private word from the office next to the front desk at night, and I returned to the inn immediately after the luggage was carried back (no sending) and I felt other disgusting. As for the customer service, there is no calm overall, and some people are not well. Because it was a celebration purpose stay, I wanted to cry with regret as I booked. It was good that the green was beautiful and the atmosphere was good, and the hot springs were smooth. The dishes are not so much praised compared to other inns, and they are not good or impossible. I think I was able to be a little more satisfied if I was on a day trip.

I couldn't enjoy the open-air bath because it was quite raining, but I like the location with a lot of atmosphere and nature. The service is polite and there is no particular dissatisfaction. However, there is no store such as convenience store around and it is a little inconvenient. The suspicious convenience store nearby was higher than the convenience store and the goods were bad. We recommend buying anything you need in other towns, such as drinks.
