|0.85km from city centerI’m not a snob but I’d like to think there’s a minimum level of cleanliness every hotel should provide regardless of the price. Well this Ibis Budget defied all expectations…in the worst way possible. Never have I felt so dirty staying at a hotel. The walls and floors were covered in a bizarre sticky residue. The bathroom was covered in water stains and the toilet paper was oddly crispy. Not to mention the mice scurrying around the courtyard during breakfast. As for the positives, at least the staff were nice.

|0.51km from city centerSehr charmantes Hotel mit freundlichem Empfang. Liegt ruhig aber trotzdem sehr günstig innerhalb der Stadtmauer. Punkteabzug gibt es zum einen für die Dusche. Die ist wirklich sehr klein und man bleibt ständig an der Armatur hängen und macht das Wasser an/aus, kalt oder heiß - je nach dem. Außerdem war der Duschgel-Spender leer - es waren dafür kleine Tütchen mit Duschgel vorhanden. Auch sonst ist das Badezimmer sehr klein. Weiterer Punktabzug beim Frühstück. Der Kaffee hatte zwar eine schwarze Farbe aber keinen Geschmack. Das war praktisch heißes Wasser. Und das Brot/Baguette war teigig und nicht richtig gebacken. Croissant war dagegen gut. Für manche ein Pluspunkt, für andere geht es gar nicht: es hat Katzen im Hotel

The front desk staff are very enthusiastic. The hotel design is also very distinctive. It was remodeled in a castle-like building, especially the few in the courtyard. The huge sycamore tree is particularly moving. The restaurant is right on the edge of the yard. It is very enjoyable to sit and eat a rich and good-quality breakfast. In short, it is a very cost-effective hotel and it is recommended!

|0.08km from city centerWe have stayed at the mercure next door ~5 years ago & the rooms were so hot (in July..& they showed us 3 different rooms!) that we couldn’t sleep, so we thought we would try the Kyriad this time. Even though they have the same type “central” heat/ac, I was actually able to adjust the temp in my room. We stayed in Jan & sometimes hotels in Europe have the heat on full blast(too hot!) so I was happy to be able to have some control in order to sleep well. I also appreciated how new & super clean the room was. The mini bar had a few cold drinks for sale inside & the rest was open for your items (No freezer section). The coffee supplies were very adequate👏The bathroom was spotless! Our room overlooked the square & with the windows closed, we could not hear a thing. The young lady & man working reception were very nice & their English was excellent. Best location & price that I could find for the amenities

The resption was very good and further pillows were promised . Fast forward an hour , change of staff , no pillows now available , they are full ! Certainly did not seem so. Addityional towels the following day were no issue. The pool was nice , though not heated , the evening meal was good as was the service. Breakfast also was good and plentiful. However important detail not mentioned when we booked , or advertised in hotel was that the restaurant was closed on the Sunday night. Food of sorts was available. Shame it could have scored a lot better

|2.95km from city centerStayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting the area so had plenty of opportunity to assess its merits and overall I would give it a four out of five. Initially I was a bit doubtful as it seemed rather soulless but its one of those hotels that grows on you the longer you stay and we really enjoyed our time there. It's fairly small for a Best Western and situated in a commercial/industrial area to the south of Avignon and beyond what most people would consider to be a walkable distance so you need a car or you can make use of the local bus service that stops close to the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a small balcony overlooking the pool and garden which was all well-kept and pleasant to use. We also ate in the restaurant on 3 evenings and enjoyed the food but the menu is very limited with only four starter and main course options so not perfect for everyone. The big plus for the hotel was the quality of its staff who all seemed to be bi-lingual, enthusiastic and engaging, particularly Fabiola who was wonderful. If I was visiting the Avignon area again I would happily book BW Le Lavarin.

|0.61km from city centerMy wife and I and another couple had two rooms here in mid-September. The hotel and rooms are decorated with architectural elements and remnants of a former monastery. We were able to beat the Provence heat with the room's AC unit. Rooms have a small, but functional kitchenette of sorts tucked into an armoire. Rooms are quiet and surround a pleasant courtyard. Patrick was an excellent and helpful host. He was especially helpful in getting a taxi for the four of us to the TGV station at an obscene hour of the morning. The night before, I asked for the name and number of the driver in case there were issues. Patrick said, ”If there is a problem, call me and I will take care of it. I don't care if it is 6 in the morning!” This was a good choice for our three nights in Avignon. It is fairly close to the Palace of the Popes and other attractions. We also got good advice from Patrick for a nearby laundromat.

|0.76km from city centerI stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.

The location is not far from the Palais des Papes, about 5 minutes walk, there are many restaurants nearby, and the downstairs is very lively. 2. The bathroom is very large, although the facilities are old, but the one-off items are relatively complete. The city of Nanfa basically does not provide toothbrushes, and there is no mouthwash, as if only floss... 3. The room is small, the bed is not big, everything is small, but very delicate, I think it is like a home in France. 4. The staff at the front desk has a southern Chinese, gentle and courteous, asking all questions very convenient and very warm and honest. 5. Booking this hotel's favorite is to have a terrace, although the stone wall is too high to see the outside, but the small lawn is really cute. The hotel's joint venture is also in Nice, and I didn't expect it to be Suisse. In Nice, Suisse is dying, under the Castle Hill, but the price of the hotel is really high. If you booked, you can check out Ctrip. I booked for one night in Booking and Ctrip. Ctrip's activities are really suitable.

Did not like sharing a room when there was a bathroom with no sink (how do you watch your hands when your roommate is in the shower area?). The shower area had only a curtain - so no sound protection. Could not get the room cold enough even with the lowest setting for temperature and the fan on high. We were both too hot.

Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

|3.83km from city centerWe stayed at Mas Chateau Blanc for a week, this past June. It was our base for daily excursions in the region and we could not have chosen a more perfect spot. The farmhouse is located in the heart of the Ile de la Barthelasse, a mere ten minute drive to either Avignon or Villeneuve les Avignon, but far away from noise and the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. As many reviewers have mentioned, the house has been completely renovated and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and well appointed, including the bathroom, with a lovely view of the garden. There are coffee and tea making facilities and the A/C was working perfectly, which was great since we stayed during the recent heatwave. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning, especially the assortment of fresh fruit and the homemade jam. The owners are very welcoming and gave us excellent recommendations for everything from restaurants to excursions. We cannot recommend Mas Chateau Blanc highly enough for a stay in Provence.

The highway is very close by and offers direct cases to a major auto route in France. Hotel staff were beet friendly and accommodating when advising us on solutions for our travel requirements this short trip. Hotel room was clean and and well equipped. Local area offers many eateries that are excellent. Hotel location is tremendous, 8-10 minutes walk to the railway station Avignon TGV. Superb location. Highly recommended.

It’s not all about the free drink , which we didn’t get , but no advise offered re the local restaurants , places to go or even the free map which of course was in the information stand . But would have been a nice touch to have been offered it The room was clean . The towels and bed clean . However thankfully for us we are both 5 foot 1 thus the smallness of the room not a problem The bathroom is small and you have to have the door open for space . The shower is great though , hot and powerful . Towels fine The room walls are paper thin and noisy loud guests don’t give a good nights sleep . But for the price ok for overnight stop or our case two nights We had the breakfast which was worth it at 10euros . Selection of cold meats , bread , yoghurt , scrambled and boiled egg , pigs in blanket , meat and cheeses . croissant and cakes plenty of hot drinks and orange or apple juice For us the only side is the parking which effectively is not the hotels problem however you need to be aware . The parking at the back near Chemine de courtine isn’t safe . We had our van broken into and items stolen . At night the road is full of white vans offering “ladies” with the white light on for ‘services’ As I say not the hotels fault but I feel the need to share our break in so folks can avoid parking there . We ate at the Novotel a short walk up the road . Exquisite food and service and great price Forewarned is better than the surprise
