|1.76km from city centerThe Hotel is in a great location over looking a beach, however it is a pleasant 25 min walk by the beach and harbour to the centre of Sitges. We stayed half board and you can choose either to eat lunch or dinner, the food is excellent quality but the service can be a little slow. We experienced excellent service from the lady receptionist when she changed our room, which offered a better view of the beach and could not fault the service she offered, always with a smile, so thank you. It is the most interesting hotel we had visited with all the Art work on show. We would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again, its not perfect but its clean with friendly staff, in a good location and you are never bored with all the Art work on show. Thanks again for a great holiday.

|0.31km from city centerWe visited in July which is a peak time for Sitges and although the MiM was not cheap (we paid around GBP180 per night) mediocre three star hotels were still around the GBP140 per night mark. We felt we got good value for the price we paid during a peak time. Location was great, on the main promenade. We stayed four nights and were in the entry level category of room. The room itself was clean and modern although I would have liked to see some USB ports or multi-plug adaptors. There was an espresso machine in the room although the pod consumption is unnecessarily complicated. I'd read other reviews on here about pods being charged once the ones provided are used. Which isn't uncommon. However, i'd assumed the 'chargeable' pods would have to be requested from reception or located within the minibar chargeable items. But no, they are located with the other tea, coffee, milk and sugar. I would have also liked to see a trash bin for recycling in the room. Staff were all super friendly and helpful and all had a great level of english and knowledge of the local area. The rooftop pool area is very small and the bar looked well attended. We had dinner at the restaurant on the rooftop one evening and it was very nice. We had breakfast included in the daily rate and it was OK. Definitely more a continental style with a fairly limited selection of hot items which often took a long time to be refilled once depleted. The hotel also has a small gym which had everything needed. A highlight for us was the spa in the basement complete with indoor pool, saunas, steam rooms, ice plunge pool, relaxation areas. Note, this is chargeable unless you book direct via the hotel (which we did). I'd definitely return.

|1km from city centerHotel Sitges is small but very stylish; everything is white, dove grey or charcoal with an occasional splash of scarlet. There are 3 vintage racing bikes, one a 1938 BMW R51 with sidecar, in the foyer, and two other models on every floor landing. Tea, coffee, croissants, cake and biscuits are served between 5-6pm. Really excellent breakfast buffet including tempting bottles of Cava and white wine - so you can be sophisticated and have a Bucks Fizz to start your day! The Hotel is situated in a quiet part of the resort, mainly an upmarket residential district, perfect, 5 mins walk to the beach and a further 15mins walk along the promenade or beach to the old town and El Balcón del Mar. The staff, Victor, Roman et al, are all super: we made a couple of requests with our direct booking and they were both met. Victor checked out bus and train times for us, Roman made restaurant reservations and organised our airport taxi. For those of you who don't want to be one of many in a large anonymous hotel then this is the choice for you!

There wasn't a big selection of breakfast but whatever was on offer was good. The restaurant food was amazing, loved the flavours and the kids absolutely loved the lobsters too. Thank you Eda you made our stay a fantastic one.

|2.3km from city centerThis is our fourth visit over a period of 10 years Post Covid things are a little different but still a fantastic hotel wonderfully comfortable rooms, we booked a family suite large double bed plus a twin room, kitchen and bathroom and great sea facing balcony very family friendly, the staff are stretched due to lack of numbers but working incredibly hard… a shout out to the Michaela in the Terrace restaurant where they serve the most divine steak on a stone, the lovely ladies working at breakfast who really are stretched but doing a marvellous job and the hotel manager who is a charming chap! And the guys on reception Supermarket beneath the hotel, a games room, Indoor pool and outdoor pool, free bikes what’s not yo Like?!! We will be back - we love it!

|0.28km from city centerAfter a few days in Barcelona, I was looking for a hotel by the beach in Sitges. Came across this hotel on TripAdvisor and after doing my research I booked a beach view room. When I got to my room, what a pleasant surprise to see the nice decor and that view from my balcony. It isn’t a new hotel but it only showed a little in the washroom, bottom of door and trims. If you are thinking about booking this hotel, add a little more to and get the beach view. Well worth it.

The rooms are small but pretty, the breakfast is plentiful and you can eat as much as you like. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I particularly recommend Yadiel who works in the pool bar. Yadiel is Cuban and makes perfect mojitos! There is a downside - the pool is much smaller than it looks in the hotel's website photos and it is in shade for much of the day (in August). There are sunbeds but not enough for all the guests so every morning was quite stressful hanging around waiting for 10am when the pool opened, when everybody ran for a sunbed!

The location is excellent, right on the beach and close to some good restaurants, the hotel also does good food with a view of the beach and ocean. Good buffet breakfast (hot and cold food selection). The rooms were clean and modern with air-con and loved the bolster pillows. Rooms cleaned everyday. Although the pool only had 8 sun loungers, there was always one available to use as the area never got too busy. The hotel provides towels for the beach and the pool, which was very useful. Everywhere in Sitges was within easy walking distance of the hotel. We would stay here again.

|0.31km from city centerFirst of all The Location Location Location !!!!! Right in the heart of sitges town, all shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and beach where within a couple of minutes walk.. An old original mansion that was turned into this beautiful boutique Hotel. The staff at the reception were simply amazing, Jacobo who always greeted us with his amazing smile, as well as the amazing gentleman who did the night shift. We stayed at Sitges 1883 (5 nights) in room 003 at the ground floor which has this amazing huge terrace overlooking the garden and the bar (which operates from WED from 18.30 till midnight). Our room was Very basic but charming, bed was rather small for 2 to sleep in but we managed without any discomfort. The room was very clean , A/C worked great. What was missing was a refrigerator in the room but that was also fine. Breakfast was perfect, with an amazing selection from hot dishes to fresh fruit, Breakfast takes place in the beautiful garden. I would say that the cost i paid which was almost 200E per night is a bit too much (as this can be be paid at 5* hotels) but hey this was high season period in one of the most amazing resort towns. I had a wonderful experience and i will certainly love to stay again in the future.

The hotel is in a period building - so it has some limitations because of this. Keeping in mind that the Romantic is a budget hotel, we had a nice stay, the breakfast was nice and everywhere was clean and tidy Not so good - The first room that we were given was TINY! I should also say that the double beds are small - Standard Spanish doubles which is 135-140cm - If you are not used to this or are two friends sharing, this my come as a surprise. But the staff were super helpful and were able to offer us an alternative room which was much better. If you are at the front of the building the soundproofing is poor, due to the original windows etc The Wifi is slow if you actually need to doing anything other than a little surfing the internet.

You can see the sea directly from the balcony outside the window, but the balcony wall is too high, you can only stand on the balcony to see, you can't sit and watch, let alone lie down. At that time, there was no sea view room, but pool view room, but then the waiter said that the ocean view is better, and it costs 15 euros. I thought I could see the sea and agreed, but that's not the case at all. It's just that there is more sunlight and the room is relatively small. In order to bask in the sun, he barely endured not changing back.

We did miss having a small pool for the kids however the pool was great for adults and having clean pool towels every day made it nice and easy for relaxing at the pool or the beach. Rooms were lovely and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Beds and pillows are really comfortable. Fridge and kettle in the room so we could have a coffee on the balcony. Great bathroom and powerful shower. Silvano was so helpful. Our flight was delayed which meant we didn’t arrive until late but it wasn’t a problem - Silvano made sure we could check in easily. Our first time to Sitges and we will definitely be back and would book The Alexandra again without hesitation.

TV (no English channels), tea/coffee making facilities, large bed, everything clean. Cold to walk on tiles though, no carpet or rugs. Very well located on a quiet side street in central . I would HIGHLY recommend adding breakfast to your reservation which is taken at their 3 star sister property - a 2 minute walk away. Mine cost an extra 5 Euros and was really worth it. Impressive variety, friendly staff and a view of the pool and gardens.

DINE + DRINK: Nice lobby-level bar restaurant with a sweet terrace looking into the seafront. ROOM: We stayed in Room 524, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Mindblowing views of the Sea and the glittering water from the Balcony and the room; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage. The Terrac/Balcony was a super cool highlight of the room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: OK cosmetics. FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines, good enough for a decent workout. They also have a pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. Special thanks to ESTHER from Front office for enhancing our stay. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free LOW-SPEED Wi-Fi(6 Mbps!) that works well all over the property. |0.28km from city centerThis is the second time I have stayed with hotel Platjador and I have to say will probably be my last which I’m really really sad to say! On the positive notes, the staff are excellent! Reception staff are just utterly wonderful and friendly and in fairness did try to help me with the issues I’ll go on to. The negative is mainly the room… I was placed in room 201 which was advertised as a ‘basic’ room for 5 nights. Based on the room I had been given when I visited in June, I was too worried, however I was wrong and should of been worried. The room: Telly didn’t work 1 light was out 1 light kept flickering 2 lights had no switch so we’re on while you slept and throughout the day (if you had your keycard in the amenities box) Blood on bathroom ceiling Mould behind the air con unit Lamp hanging from the wall Tiny bathroom I went to reception to ask them if I could move rooms and they did all they could but were full, which whilst annoying I had no option but too except. I am lodging a formal complaint as I paid £800 for these 5 nights and the room (as you will see from the pictures). In summary, don’t stay in a ‘basic’ room it’s terrible!! The other rooms in my opinion are ok.

Outside the hotel is a bar street, and many nights are very lively. The parking fee for the hotel is 20 Euros, and it is 40 Euros for one night. It is not cheap. The room is quite large and the facilities are simple. It can be said that it is simple, bed and sofa. The stools are a little shaken. Overall, the price/performance ratio is acceptable. I think the house prices have doubled over the weekend, and it is really close to Barcel. Many people in the city come over for a weekend.

|0.19km from city centerWe stayed as a group of 4 in August. The hotel is lovely. All the staff are extremely friendly. Special mention restaurant staff at breakfast who were very accommodating. We had 2 rooms overlooking the Main Street. We heard no noise and we’re on a lower floor. A friend on the floor above us complained that he was kept awake at times by people shouting and bin lorries clearing rubbish throughout the night. The location is great. It’s close to all shops, bars and restaurant and it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast was amazing and they served until midday which was great for when we were recovering from our hangovers. There is a small pool and a really small pool area. It was busy all the time and we were unable to make the most of this area as there was no room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who just wants a base that they can venture out from. We agreed that we probably wouldn’t return as we would like a hotel with a more accessible pool area that we can spend the day at. This is the only reason though as the hotel and its staff are great.

|0.38km from city centerI really enjoyed my stay here and it really is in a great location and very close to the beach. The staff on reception were friendly and the room was spotlessly clean. Two litres of water in the fridge was a nice touch as was the little bag that contained washing up liquid and sponge. We had the room that had two bedrooms. The first bedroom is a decent size with large wardrobes containing a safe. The second had no windows and was very small with a single bed with a pull out second bed underneath. With the second bed pulled out there was no additional space in there. All rooms had an AC units so none were stuffy. Kitchen had all plates and cutlery if you wanted to stay in and cook (we didn’t) and the bathroom was spacious but lacked hooks to hang up your bathtowel after use. The pools were cold, it was May, and there are only limited sunbeds. Would definitely stay again

The room is on the small side and rather basic but they do have other bigger rooms to choose from, at a price. Basic toiletries provided, no frills. Staff were outstanding and couldn't do enough. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the set meal in the evening was good value and had some interesting options. Wine reasonably priced too. The location is a fair walk, 20mins, (along a lovely promenade) from main town Sitges but the location is quiet and has lovely beaches and beach restaurants. Good bus service into town and only takes 5-10 mins.

|0.07km from city centerI Have so many happy memories of previous holidays at the Hotel El Cid,.But this visit , (the first since 2019 Pre Covid,) and i have to say i was really surprised at how old and dated it has started to look, and is now suffering more than a little faded glory.. The rooms are so good , well cleaned , great bathrooms , Huge Beds and mine (with a pool view is perfect), but sorry to say the main public areas are like an old distressed retirement home, I appreciate that the time spent there is not a main focus , BUT with the industry trying hard to recover from the past 2/3 years of covid i hoped there would be some nice improvements , there's so much wasted opportunity here to offer a better experience, but i was informed that any major improvements would mean potential to the group to pay mores taxes, but somewhere in the future they surely MUST do some redecorating and pool improvements just to maintain standards, the pool is also very worn now, come on The Cid , don't loose your returning customers.. i appreciate its rated 1 star but some TLC will go a long way ....
