We chose this hotel as we were searching for a family friendly place near the beach. We were traveling with 2 kids (3yrs and 1 yr old). The sandy beach was within a short walking distance. Nearby some playgrounds and park Borély. Restaurants, Supermarket and pharmacy almost around the corner but still quiet at night. Good connection to the city with the bus 83 , beautiful way along the coast. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, they have a 24hr reception. The room and the bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. Balcony with a nice view. Breakfast was good quality and with a variety of food for everyone ( fresh orange juice, yoghurt, egg machine, small but good cheese and meat choice, Marmelade etc. - our children were happy). They have a children’s corner at the entrance. Everything pushchair- friendly. It was too cold to use the swimming pool ( April) but it looked invitating. We stayed 3 nights ; cleaning ladies dont Come everyday and you don’t get a new towel everyday( you pay extra if you need to refresh your room; for us it wasn’t necessary). Air conditioning in the room works just fine. The hotel needs some new paint from the outside but from the inside it is modern and clean. The internet is limited or you pay extra. The price was higher than other hotels with simmilar or a bit better standard. To sum up we were pretty happy with the stay, and would recommend it for families.

We visited nhow with our two dogs and were surprised by how comfortable we were. We enjoyed the stay so much we extended an extra day. The staff intentionally gave us a ground floor room to accommodate the puppies. It was comfortable. The restaurant has nice food (a bit expensive) and the apéro was buzzing each night. The restaurant, bar and pool had lovely views of the harbor. Sunsets were stunning. Walk to the city center is doable but can get warm in the heat. The bus stop in front of the hotel is easy and takes 2Euro when boarding. It circles between Prada beach (so close to the hotel) and the old port. We also took taxi and Uber when going out for the night.

This hotel is a little way from the main centre of Marseille but it was within easy reach from a metro station and ideal for Prado beach. The hotel was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and obliging. In particular the waitress at breakfast( the girl who could speak English) was very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and everything was so fresh. All social distancing procedures were in place and adhered to by staff and guests. Lots of hand sanitiser available. We would definitely use this hotel again.

The hotel is located very close to the beach (5-8min walk), if you have rooms with view you can see the race track and the golf 🏌️ corse. Receptionists are so helpful and nice, parking is on site and is free for hotel guests. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom is big with a shower and a tub. We had the panoramic room which provided us with two balconies. The pool was nice but I didn’t like it much as the water wasn’t so clean, also you can book two hours slots to visit the pool due to COVID restrictions. There’s a nearby mall where you can buy many things you might need (e.g. Carrefour, Pharmacy and clothing shops). Although COVID rules are stringent, you can enjoy a good breakfast with a lot of choices and decent quality in addition hot plates can be provided (e.g. Omelette). Overall a nice visit.

We visited Marseilles between Christmas and New Year's and spent 4 of our 5 nights in this hotel. We actually thought that we had booked the Marriott that was closer to downtown and initially were concerned with the location since it is pretty far from the downtown marina area. We found that was not a big concern. We walked downtown the first day but rode the Metro after that. There is a metro stop within a block of the hotel. The Metro is very easy to use. If you are going to an event at the Velodrome then this is the hotel for you as it is right next door. The hotel was very clean and the room was nice. They upgraded our room without us even asking. We had an issue with the shower not draining and they took care of it right away. There were two problems with the hotel. Our room was very noisy. It looked out on the street which is very busy day and night. The noise level was okay if the windows were shut but our room was hot. Even with the heat turned completely off we could not get the temp down in the room to be comfortable to sleep without opening the window and then you had the noise problem. Other than those two issues this was a great hotel. And I'd like to recognize their staff - Anna especially. They spoke English and could not have been more helpful. They gave directions, made dinner reservations and were so very nice. Anna should be commended on what a great job she does. If I visited again I would not stay here in months when the air conditioner was not turned on.

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to a very famous building by le Corbusier. But it turned out to be a great choice! The room was small, but ample, the breakfast wonderful, the hotel staff very helpful. After a long overnight flight from the US, it hit the spot. The only downside to our visit was that they do not check baggage, so one of us had to stay with the luggage in the hotel lobby for several hours while the other one visited the famous le Corbusier building.

Very well located, the subway station is in the corner and all buses stop there too. People at the reception were friendly and helpful and has a good price. My room was big with a window overlooking the Velodrome and silent AC machine. It's a good choice.

Great experience. Two wonderful nights in Le Corbusier's UNESCO World Heritage Site "La Cité Radieuse" apartment block. Hotel on third floor has about 20 studio rooms (+/- 400 sqft) with most of the interiors of the original 1952 apartment layouts (and hallways) intact. Our room included original compact (non-working) kitchen, storage and a full wall of operable exterior glass doors and terrace looking out over Marseille (as was the roof-top view). Refreshed en-suite bath facility small and a bit tired, as was some of the oak flooring and details. New HVAC unit now installed for added comfort. Interior furniture a mix of 50-60s period styles, comfortable bed, desk, chairs (plus an original?). English speaking (although French works better) hotel staff welcoming for hotel guests coming for the true experience, with lots of shared info on getting about (bus/tram/metro). Bar and restaurant on-site with prix fix meals well prepared. Decent breakfast bar (one resident showed up for coffee on the adjoining terrace). Incomparable for the curious architect in all of us.

Both of us stayed 5 nights and it was excellent. Check in was efficient, we were lucky to check in at 11am as we had to rush to return our rental car before noon and we could drop off our luggage. There is parking in front of the hotel so it is very convenient. Getting a taxi to drop us off at the airport 76 Euros was also easy and the taxi picked us up in front of the hotel. The staff were very helpful all the time from getting us the taxi to recommending what is nearby. They give us a lot of privacy during our stay. Location is great at a safe quiet neighborhood, with many shops nearby. We could walk to the conference center, the metro station, port and city Centre. Opposite there is Monoprix, a large supermarket for fruits, vegetables and all ingredients for cooking. There is also Bricorama, a hardware shop beside the monoprix. Picard with nice French frozen gourmet meals at affordable prices is also next street away open from 9 am to 7pm. There are many fruit vendors nearby with great selection. We ate very well with these options. There are many restaurants walking distance away. There is a laundry and dryer which you need to slot in coins 9 euros. There is a nice free coffee machine with different options available whole day at the lobby. The apartment is fully equipped with microwave oven, fridge, stove and all utensils, frying pan, detergent, plates, cups, kettle and cutlery. So easy to heat up the gourmet meals from Picard and cut fruits from Monoprix. I ate my meals at the lovely balcony. There is a nice study table to work, a large sofa and 4 chairs. The bedroom, bathroom, toilet are separate from the living/kitchenette in this lovely apartment. The bed is very comfortable. There is enough storage for hanging clothes. There is an iron and ironing board. There is a locked safe big enough to store your valuables. It is not nailed to the wall. There is a spacious shower with nice hot water and a bathtub. Nice shower gel, conditioner and moisturizing cream are provided. Towels are soft. They don’t provide free housekeeping unless you stay for more than 10 days. We just take our rubbish to throw it downstairs after our meals to keep the kitchenette clean. Their free WiFi provides fast internet access. The tv channels are all in French. There are 2 lifts from the lobby. One goes to 4th floor only, the other from level 5 to 8. The staff don’t come into your unit to clean during your stay. Don’t leave the valuables around. Lock them in the safe. Thank you, Citadines for providing such excellent facilities at reasonable prices ! I highly recommend this.

Multi-lingual staff puts you at ease. So easy to find, too, as right next to metro station. The breakfast was extra and expensive with local bistros giving other options. Great grocery stores near by and the kitchen was well equipped. The pool was small but terrific after a day of touring. They only provide one large towel and one hand towel which is not enough for five nights. You can pay extra for a pool towel. The receptionist gave me wrong information about the clothes dryer (it will NOT restart if you open the door) and it would have been appropriate to make up for the bad information by giving me a coin to restart the machine. Instead, he just did nothing.

The hotel is located in the upscale Prado district of Marseille in a quiet side street off the main street. The Perier metro station is just two minutes walk at the end of the street. From which you can reach all the main tourist sites in 10-20 minutes dependent on the location. Saint Charles Train Station is three stops away on metro line 2. Next to the Perier metro station is a bus stand from which you can take the number 19 bus to all the five Marseille beaches or the lovely Parc Borely (a sort of civilised Hyde Park-it has motor cycle guards to keep out the low-life!), if you want shade. A 24 hour transport ticket for all forms of transport (bus, metro and tram) cost just 5 Euros. The hotel is an older-style hotel (I am guessing 1970s), so I had a massive double room with all the usual Ibis facilities. My room was at the back and had a large window I could open that overlooked a nice wooded area and swimming pool for a neighbouring apartment complex. The room air-conditioning was totally ineffective. To the effect, it was difficult to ascertain whether it was on or off. This was fine for September, but I understand the weather was above 40 degrees (Is that 90 in American?) in July and August. Moreover, as typical of France, the hotel lacked staff, and my room was not "cleaned" until 3-4 pm, was is inconvenient if you want to return to your room for a rest. The cleaning amounted to making the bed and changing the towels. The same crumbs on the carpet from my first day remained for the three day stay and I had to clean the sink myself each day. I bought my room on line for a bargain rate, so this wasn't too much hassle. However, the daily rate displayed on the hotel front entrance was three times more than I paid booking on-line. So, it would be annoying if you had paid the full price

We stayed over here for 2 nights before & after joining a cruise. The hotel itself is nice & clean & located not too far from La Vieux Port, a busy tourist area by the port. Two areas where the hotel was let down was the lack of interaction or, assistance from the breakfast staff & the inconsistency. You had to walk around the dining room to find a spoon or maybe, a knife as the tables were not fully set. The huge worry for us though was that the young girl wiping the tables, was also wiping the, seats of the chairs with the, same cloth & did this on both occasions we stayed here. This is a serious health & safety issue especially for children or babies who may pick up food that has fallen onto the table & then end up with a nasty gastric illness. Other than that the hotel was clean, tidy & the beds were so comfortable & the air conditioning, safe, fridge & everything else worked perfectly, so all in all a nice stay.

Very warm welcome, attentive staff. The cleanliness is irreproachable and the comfort pleasant. The decoration is modern and very pleasing to the eye. Large storage cupboard. A supermarket can be found a few meters from this establishment and the entrance to the Périer metro station is also nearby. I advise you to ask for a room on the courtyard side because the street side seems noisy to me. The view from the second floor does not look like an enchantment (see photo).

We found this hotel to be fine, but forgettable. The location is good, short walk to the old town and port, and not far from the station, but be aware that it is on the intersection of 2 busy roads. We were on the mezzanine floor at the front in rooms 3 and 6, and my husband, who is a light sleeper, got very little sleep due to a combination of traffic, trams , music and people on the streets. I had my earplugs and slept well in a comfy bed . I enjoyed the breakfast and had a lovely shower in the modern bathroom. The check in process took longer than seemed necessary, but staff were friendly, especially the breakfast chef. The hotel has taken covid seriously and it felt a Very place to be. Overall though the hotel was a little lacking in character and not sure if I’d stay again. Completely impressed by Marseille though. Intriguing city on the most, a bit run down in places but a stunning coastline, great atmosphere and lovely food. We hired the plentiful electric scooters and went on a memorable sunset ride along the corniche, followed by a stroll around the port and a delicious dinner in the old town .

I have nothing but accolades. In fact, I think the hotel website does not emphasize some of its amazing features. We selected a suite because, due to terrible jet lag, my husband and I often struggle with sleep and we wanted the 2nd floor as a more private sanctuary. What we didn’t know was how big the entire suite is, including the enormous 2nd level. The upstairs bathroom has both a bathtub and a separate shower! The bed is a true king-sized one with high quality pillows and bedding. Even more surprising is that the first floor has an additional toilet! This is quite rare in our experience with the grand, old European hotels. It was quite a welcomed luxury. The total square footage should be included in the hotel’s description because it’s quite a strong point. The room is simply huge. The breakfast is tremendous—a carafe of coffee or a pot of tea on your table, plus a generous spread of breads, pastries, fruits, cheeses, yogurts, pancakes, waffles, a do-it-yourself crepe station, and an opportunity to boil your own egg or choose scrambled (which were fluffy and delicious). I recommend including the breakfast when booking your room. Lastly, this hotel has superb views that will linger in your memory for a long time. Many other hotels face the Basilica so have only a side view of Vieux Port, but Grand Hotel Beauvau has a magnificent view centered on the port. Truly, this hotel is worth every penny, and then some.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. The check in was quick and easy and our room was ready before 12 noon. The room was quite modern, clean and warm. Although we ate out all of the time the kitchen was handy for drinks. The receptionist was really helpful and helped us work out public transport. On the Saturday we walked everywhere, but on the Sunday we used the metro and local buses. The metro station is close to the hotel.

The InterContinental Marseille is a beautiful hotel and a great location close to the water. However, for the grandeur of the hotel, mediocre service and a lack of attention to details seemed to really take away from what it could be. Check in - arriving around noon - we were told our room was not ready. Taking our cell phone number we were reassured that we would be texted when it was ready. Nope -- never got a text ... waited for hours in the bar working away and not a single text. Go down to see if they have a room and - surprise- yep, it's ready for you! I was not the only person that this happened to on this trip so I know it was not an isolated incidence. Strike one - The hotel security and (other?) staff were holding an industrial action and I was in the bar working on a laptop for nearly 3 hours waiting for our room. Every 30 minutes or so - the industrial action people would come through the hotel blowing horns and drums and making extremely loud noises - and opening up the doors to the restaurant and the bar to blare into these spaces. In spite of having paying customers in these public spaces, management didn't care and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to keep the strikers outside of the hotel (where they had a makeshift camp) and keep their customers in an environment that was reasonable. Some staff would "greet" the strikers...when I asked about the situation and WHY they were so disruptive INSIDE of the hotel, the staff just shook their heads at me - as if saying - you don't understand. Well...I was paying, so I have a reasonable expectation of some level of service. My room - I hit the "do not disturb" button just inside my door to shower and rest after arriving. Much to my surprise - the bell is ringing, the maid is trying to come into the room and apparently, ignoring the "do not disturb" red light. Well....this would ASSUME that the Do Not Disturb button actually LIGHTS up a red light -- but alas, this room has a red light that is broken/missing. So much for peace and quiet (once again). Elevator security - you are given room keys - and told that you need to use them to get to your floor where your room is. There are two main elevators up -- one of them, you need to use your key. The other one the key card reader doesn't work, so you just hit your floor button. Again, lack of attention to obvious detail. Breakfast - was there three days - breakfast buffet is good, not great. Service is spotty - can be ok, can be missing in action. This hotel looks great on the surface but peel back a thin layer and it is missing what makes a good/great hotel. I travel the world, have been in over 100 hotel nights this year - and given the InterContinental name, location and physical property it is truly a shame that this hotel does not come close to being "average" three stars. Management, if they care, really should do something to deliver a product that is more consistent with what should be
