I was assigned to a room with a garage... it felt very muc like a hookup room for couples, it didnt seem dirty but it had this old look about it. A relative was staying in a room next to the road and it seemed a little better, overall is a good one night sleep place for when on the road. As an extra note, I really disliked that they kept my ID in reception until I returned the key and remotes.

Thank God we only booked for 1 night through Expedia we were here for the weekend for my Grandmothers funeral with my family we booked a total of 4 rooms but after the issues we checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. Pros: Staff was nice, hotel was safe, hotel bar and restaurant was nice as there is an option of breakfast buffet food was good. Negative: It was 110 degrees and the AC didn’t work, we were told all rooms were booked no other available rooms. We were all extremely tired after and didn’t sleep with the heat. When I called maintenance in the morning he came and looked it First he said it wasn’t installed right then he said it needed more Freon and taking off the cover he discovered it was frozen over we were told he would come back shortly no later than an hour and he never returned. We also found a bloodstain on the sheet by the foot of the bed As I was checking out I brought this to the front desk representative’s attention and all she said she would let management know we weren’t offered a discount or any type of compensation. Another issue : when showering the shower drained extremely slow and water pooled up quickly as you shower which ended up going all over the floor. The other rooms our family stayed in mention they had very low water pressure from the shower head and some slow draining. Lastly if your concerned of bugs the doors all have gaps around the top and bottom of the door frames so they can easily get in we had a put a towel down. I Wouldn’t recommend staying only if you had a choice. Other family members stayed at Fiesta Inn and didn’t have any issues. We were extremely tired as it was and still were able to feel comfortable and get rest.

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay for a week at Hotel Cosmos Don Carlos and it was such a great choice! We showed up without a reservation and still had options, as there are quite a few rooms. We looked at a smaller rooms (with one queen bed) which was very nice, but in the end, we opted for a larger room with two queen beds as we had lots of luggage and needed more space. All of the rooms are newly renovated, with nice bathrooms and fixtures (endless hot water, great pressure!) and ours was quite comfortable. It was worth it to spend just a bit more for the larger room, as the ceiling was high and overall it was more spacious. A single traveler or a couple with less luggage would do fine in the smaller rooms. All of the rooms are on the ground floor with parking directly in front of the rooms. There is a security guard on duty and it felt very safe and secure. The staff was welcoming and helpful and we couldn't have asked for better service. There is a lovely restaurant on site serving tasty, traditional Mexican fare at reasonable prices, which we also enjoyed. For some reason, there is only one chair provided in the rooms, so the front desk graciously allowed us to park ourselves in the restaurant to use the WIFI... regardless of whether or not we ordered food or drinks... we just tried to avoid their busy times and all was well. The property itself is charming, with palm trees and bougainvilla at every door and there is a nice private swimming pool with tables surrounding, where we relaxed and also connected to WIFI when it wasn't too cold to sit outside. The location of the hotel fantastic! Right on a main street with numerous coffee shops, casual and upscale restaurants within walking distance... as we stayed for one week, we had opportunity to try everything from Chinese, Mexican, burgers and pizza, along with great cappuccino and French pastries. We also got a discount for staying a full week. We chose this hotel on the recommendation of another couple we had met traveling in Sonora and we were so glad we did!

Great central location (walking distance to clubs, bakeries, restaurants, casinos and a grocery store). Guarded parking 24/7 and for the 1 story units roomside parking. The one story units are older and very basic but are clean and have more charm. The back 2 story motel units are very bland. The staff is very sweet, you do need to speak Spanish and reservations are recommended. There is a delicious attached restaurant (Chalet) that has a wonderful breakfast buffet (the hotel provides a discount off coupon). Chalet restaurant also provide pool side delivery and room service. A password for the wifi comes at check in (the reception area is very slick). The pool area is beautiful with lots of seating. It is very clean but cold (although refreshing on a normally hot desert day). Great value for the money!

My membership as Marriott Gold was acknowledged at check in and was assigned a nice and clean room. Room has a fridge and Microwave oven. Free breakfast is ok, better than average Fairfield with fresh fruit. Enjoyed the fitness room which was full at times, perhaps it could have more equipment. The hotel has a lot of options for dinner within walking distance.

We are four adults on our way to Chihuahua, I was looking for a king size bed, as last time I rented while on another trip we got a doble room we could barely fit in bed our feet would hang. I rented two rooms here, good size bed with nice shower and TV. It smelled like cigarette when we first open the door nothing that room spray can’t handle (I always carry) Location is very near Mexicali Airport. The only weird thing is you need to call the operator every time you leave the premises, so they can open the gate. Glad no children allowed here.

OK OK I know there are many nice places here in Rocky Point aka Puerto Penasco however none can compare to the amenities Las Palomas Seaside Golf Community bring. You have two full Phases finished. That means 2 Lazy Rivers, multiple hot tubs, 2 Swim up bars, room service, onsite restaurants, SPA (of course) and a golf course. If Rocky Point didn’t have so many great sites, pubs and eateries to hit you would never have to leave Las Palomas. For the record I encourage to go see some sites, I.e. bird island, whales during season, sunset cruise with dolphins, etc... Las Palomas gets a bit busy during holiday weekends so expect some activity and all ages enjoying themselves. The quiet time is 9 or 10pm so it settles for bed time. Have fun and enjoy your trip. Saludos.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. It’s not luxurious but it met our needs completely. I had mixed feelings after reading the reviews but it turned out to be a pleasant stay for us and our friends. Staff were very helpful at the desk with pool towels and ice readily available. The rooms were basic, furniture showing signs of wear but adequate for the price. If you want something more upmarket, go and pay $250 a night at other resorts. There wasn’t any hot water but the cold water was warm enough to take a shower. Beds were comfy. The continental breakfast had a good choice available and was included in the price of the room, so no complaints there. Pool was clean and staff made an effort to keep the hotel area clean. Liked being close to the beach and we had a nice view of the ocean from our room. Would stay again :)

Came here to party with my boyfriend for the weekend. Rooms are a bed and a shower. I wore my shoes in the shower. And I brought a huge blanket to cover the entire bed and brought my own pillows. I didn’t see any bugs in the room or anything like that, it’s just old and dirty. It’s a 2 minute drive to the fish market, and close to a few good bars. I’m not picky, so the room was fine for me, just needed a place to sleep, never really in the room. But if you are looking for anything upscale, this is not for you. Bbq’s at the pool. Water seemed clean. There is a security guard who sits at the entrance all night. We met a bunch of cool people staying there as well. I paid 89 dollars for the whole weekend. I bet I’ll stay there again sometime in the future.

This place is one of the original resorts of Rocky Point. They have kept up with all the new resorts next door with friendly staff, good fun, happy hours, and the Rico show in the afternoons. Take my word for it as a regular visitor/resident that Playa Bonita resort (hotel and R.V. park) is always a safe fun spot. We came here Christmas day.

Excellent hotel, clean, decorated with very good taste beautiful the service from the waiters is very slow too slow it seems that everyone enters a computer and takes too long I ordered a few beers and it took 15 minutes to bring it to me and there was no one but us In the dining room the waiter forgot twice that we had asked for beer when we went out to the balcony in our room we did not notice pigeon droppings on the balcony floor and we dirty our room so they should do something with the pigeons also in the access to the beach you can not ask if we could pass in some way and they told us that on the side of the hotel but all the security said that there was no access finally a person let us pass very kind by the way the other day in the morning I went down to ask for a coffee and there was no change with the 200 peso bill that I gave them and it took them 10 minutes to give me a coffee and 10 minutes to get a change of the ticket. rto they could never change and I had to pay with a card the hotel in general is beautiful but the service in our experience was very bad but I do recommend it The hotel itself is very nice but does not have access to the beach

We had such high hopes for this place. Beautiful and a new property owned by Karisma. What else could we ask for? Upon check in we were greeted by our butler Kevin (whaaattt a personal concierge / butler? how fancy) except our American Express card concierge service was faster, more responsive and provide better recommendations than our butler. Our first request was a in-room massage and room service. We were told to order room service by 7. We confirmed an in-room massage for 7 and called for room service at 6. When we called for room service at 6 we were told it was unavailable. The problem was our massage was confirmed and all restaurants were far away and down dark dirt roads. Our masseuses ended up showing up over 30 min late and we ended up walking down dirt, muddy roads to the onsite restaurant to the GM who told us room service was avail until 10 pm. Any time we requested the on-property shuttle it took at least 30 minutes or never came at all. Kevin, the butler, had to keep apologizing for the service and we gave up asking him to do anything. After a day of wine tasting we returned to our room at 4pm that was not made up and we had to call for fresh towels, water and coffee. Not to mention the room service that we had to walked to get the night before was still in-room. The service is poor. The communication was not great. Because it is not easy to get around anywhere be prepared to sit and wait or request everything you need 30 minutes to and hour prior to needing it. The property is gorgeous, the food and wine is amazing but the service needs a lot of help before i can recommend it to anyone.

The hotel offers private parking and seems very secure. We were not able to try the pool as it was rainy. Our room was very spacious, clean, and the bathroom was brand new. We were able to see part of the docks. It is walking distance from the main avenue, La Guerrerense (seafood street stand) and El Rey Sol (french restaurant). They have breakfast, which is fairly good. The staff was super friendly. We used this hotel for several visits to Valle de Guadalupe wineries, a 30-60min drive depending where you are visiting.

Dump nothing works in room. cold showers, horrible "jacuzzi", total dump. really disappointed. Didn't reserve room ahead as we wanted to confirm there was ample & secure parking for our atvs and trailer. As soon as we confirmed every site online had "no rooms available" that should have been my 1st clue since they were almost empty. The second I told them about my online search ALL sites (expedia. booking and hotels.com were no longer available) We got 2 rooms. One for me and hubby the other for family members. Got the jacuzzi room with a king. Towel bar in bath immediately broke off the wall. Hairs in the jacuzzi. Then to fill it the hot water dripped out hot and took sooooo long to fill. Only 1 jet actually worked the other puttered out water and the jets sounded like I was working on a motorcycle. So loud. Decided to shower instead, nope! Ice cold water (probably from trying to fill the jacuzzi tub). 1 towel in room, apparently there were no more clean ones in the hotel so we were offered to use pool towels instead. (usually not a big deal but considering everything else I thought id add it too) Now im finally laying down to watch TV and of course the picture won't adjust its all garbled!! OMG this place is a joke!!! Check please!
