NOTE: rooms have no A/C so if you have a room that the sun hits it will be hot in the summer. Cooke City is high elevation but it still gets warm up there. I saw some rooms that faced the parking lot had fans set up in the windows to cool down the rooms. We had a NE facing room and it was hot in the room much of the night. We had the windows open but road noise was loud and then at 6:30 AM someone let their dogs out on the deck of the building that is immediacy next door and the dogs began barking for 20 min until they apparently let them back in the house. No elevator and we were on the third floor so if you’re traveling with family and many bags be advised. Room was small, but it was clean and neatly decorated. Internet was basically useless and there is not much for cell service in town so plan accordingly. Some business and the information center have wifi. Second time staying here past couple years, would probably stay again if coming through but would also check other lodging options.

The location of the hotel is good, the environment is average, there is no hair dryer, it's ok to stay for one night, the hotel seems to be run by an Indian, the sound insulation of the hotel is very poor, and the Indians next door can hear clearly when watching TV. More efficient things. When checking in, there is an envelope on each bed that says ”Thank you for cleaning”, suggesting that we are tipping. This is the first time I have seen this hotel.

The location is good, basically a few minutes drive away from the northeast gate of Huangshi. No cell phone signal, but wi-fi is good. There is a Chinese restaurant diagonally across the street. There is no restaurant to eat, it can only be taken away, but the taste is good and the portion is sufficient.
