|1.14km from city centerFirstly, this is not a 5 star hotel. It is a very good hotel, with some great amenities but far from 5 star standard at the moment. We enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday, it is that the hotel just did not meet our expectations and for the money we paid for a 5 star experience. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are small but good with large beds but let down by the pillows. Plenty of sunbeds and we always manged to get one even being at the height of the season. Adults only also made it a relaxing experience. I think the main issues was the serving staff, although they are pleasant the serving staff are very young and inexperienced without adequate training, there also seems to be no supervision. Basics are missing, like hello, goodbye and smiling, this starts to get you down after a few days. This is not what you expect at a 5 star hotel. The reception, the cleaners and the concierge are very good and can't understand why it doesn't extend to the serving staff. Breakfast was fine, but not great. We tried the restaurant twice and while good standard is let down by waiters which made us eat elsewhere and actually found better. Snack bar is what lets it down most, poor choose, expensive if you want to eat there over a two week stay. I'm now dubious of all the positive comments and one of the reasons we choose this hotel. They seem too similar and I can't be the only one with these observations. I hope my comments on training are taken constructively.

|0.5km from city centerperfect location
We were two friends and we loved it because of the magnificent location in the center of Platja Daro and the beach. It is 1 minute walk. And the hotel has parking, but we think it is not useful since there is a place to leave it on the street and the area is good.
We have repeated experience.
The hotel has many services, animation and nursery, we do not use them but it should be taken into account.
It is a hotel that we recommend

|0.9km from city centerHotel located in a quiet neighborhood. Large family rooms, very clean, well equipped, perfect litter. View of the pool. Reception staff, restaurant, floor, and breakfast is sympathetic, effective, professional. As she was for my wife's anniversary, she had a right from the management, a small card, and a friandise plate, we particularly appreciated this delicate attention. The restaurant offers a very good menu at a very reasonable price. Hot dishes, eggs, bacon, or others are offered, executed and served immediately with a smile.

|1.3km from city centerWe stayed 5 days in this hotel and we felt very comfortable! The staff is very welcome and attention, they gave us a bottle of fresh water for the return journey for example. The hotel is located in the centre of the city and the holiday avenue, 800m from the sea and right away. A very good compromise for young people or families !

|0.56km from city centerBeautiful modern hotel, right in the centre (although you would ever know, no noise whatsoever). The pool area was lovely, well maintained and very chilled. The staff we all lovely, especially the two young men on reception (didn’t catch their names) who were really helpful when we had a problem with our air conditioning. Breakfast nice with plenty of choice. Get a room over looking the pool, well worth it. 5 minutes to the beach, 1 minute to the start of the Main Street that is full of shops (not touristy ones) and restaurants and bars. Rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel in a flash, great place to stay and the staff are a credit to it.

|0.58km from city centerLoved our family stay! Hotel on two beaches and rocks to climb on. We preferred smaller left beach (as you face the ocean) - just beyond far edge is a secluded beach for about 10 families and a trail up above with ancient tunnels along the shoreline. Sand is small pebbles - but ohh Mediterranean blue! 4 beach chairs and three umbrellas for $40 for all day. Sangria at beach shack on left beach!! Some rooms not renovated so book and then call hotel to be sure to get the room you want. Rooms are spacious, bring shampoo. Restaurant is good, there are several options. Breakfast is decent but tiring on day two. Hotel is on the end of narrow street that looks one way but is not, free hotel parking lot. Town is lovely with main ***** Av. Del Cavell Bernat (a few blocks away from hotel) also few blocks (same st.) is small store w food, great wine prices but sunscreen is $20+ per bottle there. Great restaurants in walking distance. Day trip to Cadaques!

|0.19km from city centerEls Pins is a wonderful family run hotel. An absolute gem of a place. Comfortable beds and nice linen. Breakfast is amazing with hot food and an amazing selection of cold buffet. Every tea you can think of. Fruit and yogurt. Cava for breakfast. Friendly staff who go above and beyond in service. Great prices in bar. Cannot recommend highly enough for the value. We stayed for seven nights and enjoyed every minute. Beach is a stones thought away.

Platja d'Aro
|0.66km from city centerI’ll start by saying that I’m writing this review whilst still holidaying. We came as a family- a mother, 2 daughters (in 30’s) and 19 month grandchild. We’re all inclusive and we are not picky at all. When reading other reviews of hotels we typically roll our eyes and say ‘you can’t please everyone’ or ‘it’s what you make of it’ so please trust me when I explain this hotel. I’ll start with the positives- the setting is beautiful- pool is overlooking the sea. The food is nice enough, there’s always something to eat, mainly pizza, pasta, chips and salad. (Salad bar is lush) Breakfast is our favourite meal. (There’s cereal, continental, pastries, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, bacons and eggs etc.) We found the beds comfy for all you only get one pillow, it’s decent. Martin, a waiter, FANTASTIC with the little one. Such a lovely man. He always greets us with a ‘hello love’. Meal times aren’t too bad either- Breakfast 8-10am Lunch 1-2:30pm and Dinner 7-10pm Thinks that’s about it really. It’s centrally located, we attempted to go for an evening meal twice. Everywhere is closed on a Tuesday (and some on Monday too) then places don’t open until 8pm, so with a little one, it’s no good. The hotel. Buckle in! There is a park when you first arrive, which is a death trap. There are little tree stumps sticking up, no bark or sand down, the steps up to the slides have huge gaps in them and the swing is on a wonk- it’s completely unusable. The beach- it’s not sand, it’s shingle, so sharp underfoot. The staff- the most rudest people we have ever met. It’s very much catered towards the French. When ordering a drink in the evening, I was at the bar, the waitress completely ignored me and served a paying Frenchman, after him, she served her colleague doing table service, couldn’t help myself at this point and I said ‘HOLA?!’ She looked at me in utter disgust and continued to serve her colleague. In Spain, you expect (rightly or wrongly) that the majority of people will speak English, basic, enough to get by, but not a word is spoken. I was heavily relying on my Spanish GCSE to get by. (2 male receptionists speak English and that’s it) I naturally really try abroad to understand the basics of their language but have always found English is widely spoken. It describes the hotel as family friendly- it’s not. There is a tiny pool which is full of leaves from the trees above- not well kept at all. The tiles on the floor are not the correct ones- it’s VERY slippy when wet. The pool is FREEZING. They have built in pool steps but no hand rail. No lifeguard either. We had a pushchair- getting down the ramp, it’s practically vertical with some grips missing. If you’re a wheelchair user, you wouldn’t be able to go down alone. Everything is on -1 floor, so a lot of steps involved. The lifts- there are 3 of them- lethal! They close when you’re getting in them, not allowing time at all, and the sensor must be knackered because they don’t open again. We found that
