Hotels Near Meydan-Otopark In Emirbeyazit Mahallesi Review
We arrived at the hotel on 20/07/19, We originally booked the two bedroom apartment as we are a family of five but after staying one night the apartment was not what we expected. There was some damage to the TV’s and the apartment in general wasn’t up to a standard we found acceptable, after speaking to reception twice we were moved to a three bedroom which is much nicer, and much cleaner. After we were moved the holiday has been plain sailing, friendly staff, and views are simply stunning. The pool is beautifully clean and there is also an onsite gym which you are able to make use of, there is a local gym membership so you should expect see locals coming and going. There is a washing machine which I found so useful with three children and the catering facilities are fantastic, although there are no kettles. The large TVs are great and there is internet access at the pool and in the apartments. The views are beautiful as you are based at the top of Akyaka, the walk down into town is very easy but coming up is a bit of a work out, so a car would be very handy. There is also a cooling system rather than air conditioning and there is no maid service unless it’s requested, we requested it twice on our two week stay and when they came they cleaned the apartment beautifully. We would stay again but would hire a car and also we would have to look at the three bed and not the two as the two beds just aren’t as nice as the three or four.
Staying here second time. Really good location, near the most popular restaurants, but not so loud (very quite place). U can choose room with sea view, but be ready to stay under the sun most of the time. Rooms are new and tide. I recommend to book with a balcony. Breakfast one of the best part of hotel: buffet, located the pool area with good view. High quality food, tradition Turkish and European. Be sure staff is helpful, friendly, positive and they speak English. This year they remade pool area - big one, small for kids, 3 different waterfall. I strongly recommend this place.
Our room was a corner honeymoon suite. I think suite is a bit hyperbolic but it was very nice, with a fireplace that we lit each night with the wood provided by the hotel. The bathroom was a bit dated and the shower is in the somewhat high sided bath. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typically Turkish with a great selection. Considering the price it was really nice and a great place to stay. Two negatives - the wifi did not work in the room, but was fine in the public areas, and the hairdryer blew a fuse when it was switched on (which made us both jump). I would stay here again.
We arrived before check in time so just wanted to park our cases and see when we could check in. There were three staff on check in but only one spoke English and she, to the embarrassment of her colleagues, ignored us with her back to us, for a good five minutes. There were no other customers there. We went through the procedures, passports photocopied etc and got a time when our room would be available. When we returned hours later we hadn't been signed into the wifi nor were we offered a safe key The room was fine, nicely decorated, comfy bed and pillows, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. The only problem was the ration of coffee sachets and coffeemate was 2 per stay, regardless of length of stay. I've no idea where one would get pods for coffee machine. We got caught by the restaurant manager the first evening . We booked a table and as it was cold and windy and there were no side screens on the seating area, I requested one be put into the indoor restaurant . When we came down the tables were all outside so we ate in the cold. There was no menu we were told, "chose from the display" unpriced. We had a very ordinary fish soup, 40 ytl , more than £5 each. We choose a fish casserole one with chips, one with rice, but when it came there were no rice or chips they obviously started cooking them when we asked where they were and arrived at the end of the meal. The total bill was 370 ytl for a very poor experience. Although the hotel was busy there were very few eating there
The 5 stars are simply for hospitality. Everyone from reception through to restaurant and beach bar staff and housekeeping were warm helpful and efficient. They loved our baby too and often keen to entertain and carry her. The sea here is perfectly calm and clean. You must be able to swim properly to go in the water as no shallows. The hotel is located on a gorgeous bay the right distance away from the crowds in town. The chef is excellent and the dinners here are delicious. Rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. It's a perfect spot for your Turkey escape and there are many opportunities to go explore nearby places of interest by boat or coach. Highly recommend and wish this hotel much success. Love from Baby Ailah and her parents. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so wonderful!
While the hotel and rooms are nice and modern and confortable enough, the service, except for the breakfast, was not good. The room was not very clean and missing or out of several amenities. However, the worst part was the front desk service. After making a reservation online, then entering the hotel an hour later, i was waiting several minutes for any one to attend to the reception desk. Then when a guy finally came, he looked at me as if i wasn’t worthy of this hotel(i’m probably not, but i’d paid anyway) which made me a littlw angry to begin with. I told him i had a reservation and he looked even more upset that i had evaded his prejudgement of me and/or that he had to do his job. He didn’t say welcome or anything friendly, just asked for my passport, processed the business without a smile or hint of customer service charm(which normally i’d appreciate, but not at a 90$ a night hotel), handed me the key and told me breakfast starts at 8. I thought ‘wow’ based on that exchange i wish i could cancel the reservation. Through my stay i never saw anyone ar attention at the front desk, nor did anyone answer the reception phone when i rang it. Oh, and i guess even worse was the kinds of guests here. There were luxury cars parked at the foot of the stairs of the entrance to the hotel so tight that one could scarcely leave enter, and i think i saw these self-important pricks at breakfast being rude to the breakfast staff. Breakfast was fantastic though!
