|3.46km from city centerWe decided to spend 2 nights and stay in a King Room. Our stay had a few problems. The room door was difficult to close and must be slammed to latch the lock. Our keys were disabled after the first night and the front desk clerk proceeded to lecture us about not putting key near phone or credit cards which we never do and my spouse and I do not store our hotel keys together. (We stay 100+ days a year in hotels.) The rooms need maintenance. The breakfast buffet was missing hot eggs but had pork sausage links and bacon, waffles, mini muffins, cereal, yogurt, mini cinnamon rolls. It's a carbohydrate/sugar lovers dream.

|7.92km from city centerThe staff here was friendly and great. The rest is a mixed bag. The rooms are showing quite a bit of wear, and the housekeeping was... odd. Though I got new towels (or maybe they just refolded my old ones?) and some new soap, they never made the bed. Also, the shower had two bottles of body wash and one of conditioner but no shampoo. In my parents' room, there were some old potato chips and an empty soda bottle in their room when they arrived. Also, their phone did not work at all, and mine had a flashing message light that would not go away (I had to cover it at night). The room smelled a bit musty and always felt slightly damp, too. The bathtubs are patched and really just need replacing, and there are small holes in the blackout curtains. Things like that. We did also use the pool, which was a good temperature (not sure, but it felt like maybe it was heated). We had it to ourselves, but there were only two towels left, and they were more like dishtowel size. Lots of bugs in the pool, too, and people had left clothes out to hang on the pool fences. The pool area had quite a bit of litter around, and the rail at the stairs was loose, but it did also have a handicap chair.

|2.93km from city centerWhile travelling over a 6 week period we stayed at 6 different Red Roof Inns throughout the USA. We choose Red Roofs based on the fact that dogs were free and pricing. Although the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette was under renovation, it was still the BEST one we had stayed at. All of the staff was extremely friendly, from the people at the front desk, to housekeeping, even the contractors. They couldn’t do enough for you. If they saw you outside they would ask if you wanted or needed anything. Everyone was apologetic for the mess that the renovations were causing.I think they were near the end as we did not find it bad at all. When we asked for recommendations they always lead us to great tours. I would like to commend the owners/managers on how well the exterior grounds are kept. This was the first hotel that we stayed at that we were able to go out with the dog and not worry about stepping in poop. Just because at pet stays for free it does not mean that people should not pick up after their dogs. Thank you to everyone at the Red Roof Inn Lafayette Great job

The bed and pillows were quite comfortable The breakfast bar was very nice, there was a wide variety of items to choose from. Covid-19 intructions were displayed to remind guests to practice social distancing. I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

|7.14km from city centerThis is our go to “Home” when we go to Lafayette. We have stayed here many times when traveling and with our grandsons baseball teams. The hotel and our rooms are always so clean and welcoming. We love the size of the rooms with the sofa and lil kitchen set up. The free breakfast is definitely a plus with very good choices and so good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. When we had to evacuate from home because of a hurricane last year I knew this is where I wanted to go and they did not disappoint. We were there for a few weeks with two other of our family members and their kids. The washer & dryers on site were so very useful. There are eating places in walking distance and we spent quite a bit of time in the lil park right out side. Location is perfect with things close by but the way the place is set up you don’t feel crowed. Sometimes we would took walks on the premises and area.

|4.22km from city centerI read many reviews before choosing a monthly hotel stay for my husband's job. I saw negative and positive but appears most of the negative reviews were before new management. That being said, I'm so glad I gave this hotel a chance. Everything was clean and in working order. The staff have been very accommodating and have made my stay very enjoyable. Carlette checked me in and had a problem with my registration. She gave me my key and allowed me to get settled in while she got everything straight. She then called and we got checked in. The following week, Alannah and Jenny Trosclair were ever so helpful getting me receipts to turn into for reimbursement for work. They were super helpful and kind when there was an issue with my credit card. They eased my mind and anxiety and told me to come take care of it the next morning. Ever staff member has been friendly, respectful, and willingly go above and beyond to make their guests happy. I'm sure some take advantage of this type of hospitality and shame on them. That's the type that writes ugly reviews. The price is very very reasonable. Housekeeping is only once every 14 days when it's a month or longer stay. This is fine by me because I don't require daily cleaning and prefer my privacy. However, for a small $10 fee, you can get full service housekeeping in between. I feel that's a fair price. In addition, if you need extra soap, toilet paper, etc. You ask and shall receive. I brought my own, btw. Once every 5 or 6 days, I place my towels and rags in a bag outside my door and housekeeping washes and returns them. The grab and go breakfast isn't available because of Covid! Likewise, the kitchen isn't stocked BUT I was asked at check-in if I needed pots, pans, utensils, etc. I declined because after reading reviews, I brought my own. Just saying, those things ARE AVAILABLE! As far as safety, I am completely comfortable staying here. I see people walking their pets, smoking cigarettes, and things of that sort outside, but no illegal or noisy people loitering in the parking lot. My bed is comfy and clean linens and covers. I wish there were more pillows (lol)! I feel that I'm receiving more than what's expected for the price I'm paying. Some people gave negative reviews but this is more of a studio living type place than a full service hotel. If that's the service you're expecting, then go pay the $150/night rates somewhere else. Overall, very satisfied and definitely will book again! (I've included pics of our room.... Note: this is the deluxe king suite. Other king suites won't include the living area on other side of half wall and from previous stays, the kitchen counter isn't as big)!

Check in/out was fast. There was a breakfast. I just wish there were fruit and yogurt options instead of most carbs. But that's just me. It was all great!

The only reason for not having a perfect 10 in all catagories is due to Covid restrictions. It is time we move past this and try and get back to some degree of normal, ie: Daily house keeping, better breakfast, etc. We were told the property was in line for a little remodeling/updates. They had already ran my card for full amount earlier that morning, even though I was paying in cash at check in which was noted. When I got to room, realized it was double beds and not 2 queen beds. Hard as a rock. Broken plug on night stand lamp. Clock didn't work, t.v. had screen settings for everything in Spanish. When i went to check out, was told that they had no double queens available that is why i was puy in double bed room. Had reservations for weeks and didn't get room reserved. Also paid same price for smaller room. I am a diamond select member and bestwestern will here from me. Also be warned it is an old super 8. Also full of noisy rude oilfield workers. Will never stay here again. Unlike my room, that is a guarantee.

|4.37km from city centerI stayed at this Courtyard for 5 nights through January 23, 2020. The first wonderful person I met was while I was checking in. Devin is a professional, courteous and extremely helpful yong man that assisted me with everything I needed (where to eat, visit and shop). He is very patient and I appreciated his advise and kindness. I also met Jason, a great gentleman who took the time to show me my room to assure it would meet my needs! He is a really considerate and plesant! The same is true of Delania (I sure hope I spelled this correctly). Her personality and welcoming attitude is wonderful. She would ask how my meal was, what I did and was sincere in her querries. She is wonderful! I met Teresea the one night she was scheduled to work while I was there. What a special, vivacious, outgoing and exuberant nice lady! She had a cold and I was going to Walmart, so I got her some cough drops-you would think I gave her $1M! She was so appreciative and thanked me several times. I wish I could have spent more time with her-she makes you feel great! The housekeepers I met were so friendly and kind! Jeanie and Rea are awesome. Rea did an extra quick cleanup of my room one evening and refused a gratituity for her efforts. How special she is! Lyle (Maintenance) had to come to my aid on several occassions due to a persnickity light/outlet and was outgoing, very helpful and very competent. The bottom line is there are so many special people I almost fogot to mention what a nice property it is! The exterior is inviting and kept up nicely, the Lobbt is spacious and hospitable. The rooms are spacious, laid out well and extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. I especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Very relaxing and clean. I had one small issue with the water temperature in my shower and I was thrilled to see that Management immediately got involved. Sam, the Assistant Manager, is an awesome man with a great demeanor and ibviously respected by the Staff (they told me he knows how to get things done)! Sam introduced me to Brian, the Manager who has recently come to this property. All I can say (and see) is that Brian and Don are incredible Leaders that have an awesome group of people that like their jobs. The winners? Us, their appreciative guests! Thank you from Room 231 and every other room in your great hotel! Please forgive me if I omitted any of the other great people I met. I sure hope Marriott knows what great folks they have at this property!

Side note: never stay at the La Quinta Oil Center down the street! The front desk people are very helpful and nice. The cleaning people are as well. We like the fact that you can run the a/c fan to drown out inevitable hotel noises. The beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. There are a lot of places to eat close by, including a Chilis and Outback Steakhouse in the same parking lot if you are too tired to do anything else like we were a couple of times. We have nothing bad to say.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and chose to stay here due to it being a newer property. We usually always choose a Marriott hotel due to being a member and collecting points for future stays. The area surrounding the hotel was great. A positive for this hotel is that there are tons of restaurants and shopping right around the hotel. Upon entering the hotel we noticed that all of the trash cans were overflowing. When we arrived in our room we noticed that there was only half a roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex, and no laundry bags. The room was large, but did show some wear and tear. Everything appeared to be clean. There was a full size refrigerator which was definitely a bonus. Our room was not cleaned the next day and towels and toiletry items were not replenished. Although there was a coffee pot there were no cups or condiments. The breakfast downstairs was minimal, crowded, and dirty. They were out of coffee by 9:00 am. When we returned to the hotel the second evening all of the trash cans were overflowing again. It just had a dirty feel overall. We stayed at the Springhill Suites River Ranch the last time we were in the same area and had a much more enjoyable experience. If you are looking for a moderate option in this area I would pass on this one. There are better options at around the same price point.

|7.41km from city centerThis is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. To start, when I entered the hotel, the agent at the desk didn't even greet me. She stared at me as if I was supposed to speak to her first. She was more worried with the FaceTime call she was on than to take care of a guest. So I then get to my room to be horrified. I first booked a queen studio and received a 2 double bed. No biggie, but I would have liked to have been informed at check in that my room type was no longer available. I get to the room and thats where it got the worst. The room was disgusting. There were stains on the bed, old cigarets in the window seal (had to have been there for a while or they wouldn't be almost black), dirty grimy counter tops, dirty microwave, and much more. At this point I just wanted a new and hopefully CLEAN room. I called down to the desk to ask for a room move and in mid explanation I was hung up on. I then walked down to the desk and told her to just cancel my room. At this point I just wanted out! She then tells me she has to charge me and check me out (keep in mind I was in there for 5-10 mins tops). She then informs me that only the General Manager can apply the refund and to call at 11pm to speak with him. I called back as instructed and voiced my concerns and disgust with the General Manager Brandon, to only be dismissed. He is the most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. I barley got an apology and the one I did get was short and dismissive. I now understand why the staff is the way they are because they are being lead by someone who is far from caring and professional. I will never stay at this property again and I would suggest the same for you. At least allow me to save you the headache. I hope these comments are used for training and accountability. This property is doing very poorly at upholding IHG standards and should be further investigated.

This hotel is remarkable because of the beautiful people that staff this place. My family and I came to this hotel in a time of crisis; hurricane Ida. We could not find a hotel with reasonable prices, seemingly comfortable or suitable for my age-varied family, stemming from my 1 year old niece to my senior grandpa, and our puppy. Amidst our last-minute searches, somehow, someway, the Drury Inn save the day, truly. Between a welcoming staff that greets you right at the door, cooks/chefs in the kitchen there to help, greet and converse with you at their buffet. The list goes on and on. You all were a safety net to my family and the ways you looked out for us are immeasurable, and I'm not exaggerating. Please don't change, and continue to be the wonderful, hospitable, and all-around considerate people family has ever encountered. By the way, I know I seemed to dedicate this message to the staff of Drury Inn, I feel I should also, at least mention the other great aspects of his hotel. :) The rooms, beds, and bathrooms are beautiful, cool, and encapsulating. The kitchen, open and inviting with coffee kept me active all day a multipurpose buffet. I believe there was a card for a complimentary drink or two, as well. The pool and complimentary towels: are refreshing. The chandelier and ambiance of the lobby was beautiful, as well. And there was one of my favorites, a gym included in the hotel! It was an all-around great experience that made my family and I feel as though we were still safe and protected amidst the chaos that brewed at home and on the news. We will continue to recommend this Inn to anyone asking!

The hotel was extremely clean, updated and nicely decorated, The staff were very polite, attentive, friendly, efficient, personable and engaging. The staff (Nelson, Tasha and Gabriella) at breakfast every morning were outstanding and made our trip even more fun! The breakfast was always fresh and tasty with a good variety of items to choose from. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and attentive happy to help with all of our requests. We loved having a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in our room. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good with hot water always available. I appreciated the dove soap amenities and the dispensers in the shower and the sink. Our only complaint was the lack of a toilet seat cover which we all felt wasn’t very sanitary. Overall a lovely experience in Lafayette at the Holiday Inn ! We would all choose this hotel again because the staff went above and beyond which we all know is hard to come by these days.
