1.06km from Parco Passo GaviaSTAY AWAY! We booked via booking.com two rooms for four nights (5 people) at il Leoncino. We found a filthy (kitchentte!) and very old room and furniture for three people under the roof, with a stark unpleasant smell (n. 207), as well as another room for two, very cold but already a little more alike the rooms advertised on booking.com (n. 7). Having looked at other options (rooms n. 205, 206 and 4) we settled for one night in rooms 4 and 7. Our parents in room 4 were kept awake the whole night by the radiator even though they turned it off, the kitchen next door woke them up at 6.30 am... anyway, we saw five different rooms, all quite different from the clearly photo-shopped pictures on booking.com. After one night, sleep deprived, we honestly could not even imagine to move yet (!) to other rooms in the hotel and, thus, tried to cancel our stay at il Leoncino, but the only thing we heard was that it was impossible to be reimbused for our three remaining nights as we booked via booking.com. As we stayed there for our Christmas holidays, they were under-staffed, at first nobody around to talk too, we had to wait 45 minutes for somebody to show up, only to be very rudly interrupted when trying to talk with the manager. Highly unpleasant experience, especially claiming that had we paid in cash we could have been reimbursed, but with a credit card payment that was not possible at all. Even though we tried to reach out to the central administration of the hotel multiple times to find a compromise (partial reimbursement) in the two following our disasterous stay, we never heard back from them. In sum, not worth the money at all, very deceiving pictures on booking.com.
