Housed in a Machiya townhouse, this is a weekend house for exclusive use, of which decor features the black-plaster-wall under the concept of black and cherry blossoms.

The hotel has a very friendly concept. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and it allows the guest to talk and know each other. It also has other lounge areas in each floor which are very comfortable. The staff is amazing. They speak very good english and can explain to you what to see in kanazawa but also are happy to chat with you about anything. We felt just at home in this hotel. The location is very central, just a nice walk from all the major things in the city. The hotel was very clean. We stayed in a twin room which was small but very well thought. The beds and the bathroom were a very good size and there were plugs and usb chargers even on the top bed. I wish we could have stayed for a little bit longer and enjoy the cooking sessions they hold on Mondays and teach you how to cook some Japanese dishes.

I’m here now and want to write about my experience as it’s happening. I’m blown away at this property. The beauty, the people, the quiet…except for the waterfall which you hear if you’re outside. I have a balcony room. The AC is splendid! There’s a tub inside the large shower area. The shower water is a little weaker than I normally care for, but YMMV. Breakfast is a huge buffet with very nice options, all Japanese and all high quality. Both mornings, I’ve been served an amuse. Tonight I’ll try dinner for the first time here, and no doubt it’ll be delicious. If you opt out of housekeeping, they leave you a big bag of two each large towels, hand towels and bath towels. Housekeeping is as quiet as a church mouse. I arrived at the Kanazawa train station, and even though I knew that there would be a shuttle bus, and which side to exit from, I didn’t know which one was mine. This information is not on the website, so I’ll tell you that you exit on the west side, and upon exiting, turn to the right, where the group bus waiting area is. And watch for a bus that is white with an orange *****e on the front. One other word of caution. There are two hotels that are named the same. Just because you see the hotel name on the outside, that may not be yours. Do you want to be sure that the driver and the accompanying guide know that the one you want is on this particular street. It’s a really new hotel, as it’s only been open for about a year. I upgraded and got the lounge access and that’s been totally worth it! The afternoon suites are so stunningly gorgeous and there’s a cocktail hour also in the afternoon, but I think it’s really like three or four hours long. The staff speaks their English, but have your Google translate ready for words that they may not automatically know. However, I will say they are extremely eager to understand and please you. I highly recommend this hotel!!

We had a wonderful stay at Sumiyoshiya. The property itself is older but very well taken care of and our room was clean and comfortable. We booked late and the only room available was one with shared bath. So that meant we had a toilet in the room but had to go to a shared, single sex bathroom for showers. There was one open space for showers and a hot bath so it can be slightly comfortable if you're not used to the open concept. Thankfully I had the whole place to myself on a Tues night and I was able to have some peace and quiet in the hot tub/bath. The owners were extremely friendly and the entire stay (check-in, check-out, etc) was very pleasant. But the best part was the kaiseki dinner that was available as an additional option (approx. $50-60/person). It was a seafood feast featuring all the fresh daily catch from the fish market next door. It was so delicious and amazing that I'd stay here again just for the dinner! The location was great; an easy walk from the main station, right next to the famous Omicho Market and a short walk to the Kenrokuen Garden. I highly recommend Sumiyoshiya for the hospitality and the amazing dinner!

Two women traveling, booked a Superior Twin room without meals. It was a wonderful hotel 🥹When you first entered the lobby, there was a nice smell of wood. Great location with Omicho Market right in front of you. 10 minutes walk to Kanazawa Station. Bus stop is also nearby. The teahouse district and the museum are about 20 minutes walk, so if you try hard you can probably get there. The facilities in the room are the same as in a typical hotel. But things like Saronia hair dryers and Balmuda pots are very fashionable. It was really beautiful, like the indoor clothes and the wooden cup that was left there? A teacup? Even the coasters are so stylish that you can see that they have put a lot of thought into them. When I checked in, my brother gave me a Japanese sweet made from fresh mugwort gluten, which seems to be a local specialty, so I had it with the tea that was in the room. The suitcase can be expanded with plenty of room. The public bath has one large bath and five washing areas. There was OSAJI cleansing, face wash, lotion, and emulsion. Coffee milk or amazake after a clean bath is also free. Morning bath starts at 5:00. You can also make your own sachets by stuffing wooden dice into a bag and spraying it with cypress-scented water to enjoy the scent. I want to keep it in my room or in my car. I'm happy because I can remember that scent even after I return home. Overall I really recommend it.

Our family stayed here on our spring vacation. The building has a classic feel but with a youthful vibe with the overall interior decoration. The rental bicycles they offer made sightseeing around town a snap. Best of all, at checkout the staff gave us some hand-made presents as a souvenir.

The hotel is small but the service is very good. The clerk patiently introduces the routes of Kanazawa's famous attractions. There are various detailed maps, the business schedules of surrounding restaurants, and even the stalls of Omicho Market. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Omicho Market and a 3-minute walk from the supermarket, which is very convenient. The waiter is very enthusiastic! Walking to Kenrokuen is also acceptable! Bathrooms, toilets, and sinks are shared, but they can be used at any time, and they don’t feel crowded. The front desk brother is very good in English and communication is barrier-free.

It was a very nice townhouse a few minutes walk from Omicho Market. It also has a kitchen and washing machine, so I think it's good for consecutive nights. I was happy that there were plenty of amenities and warm pajamas, bath salts, and water servers. The baths and toilets were also up-to-date and easy to use and clean. It was too big to stay with two people and I was a little lonely, so I would like to stay with a large number of people this time.

We wanted to experience one traditional ryokan during our month in Japan, and we could not have made a better choice than Asadaya. Our welcome was gracious and following a tea service we were shown to our tatami room. We had just spent a week in a western-style hotel in Tokyo, and this room could not have been more different. When the door closed, we sat on the floor staring at each other in our simple suite, and my husband said ”Are you sure this was a good idea?” At that moment, I wasn't sure. Neither of us had experienced such simple accommodations before and we're not bed and breakfast types. But we changed our minds quickly when we allowed the peaceful zen of the place to take over. We fell in love with every single thing about our experience: our beautiful and simple suite, the comfortable beds (made extra long for two tall guys), wearing yukatas, enjoying the family bath (we never even used the in-room shower), afternoon tea, and the over-the-top kaiseke meals served on the most gorgeous dinnerware you'll ever see. It's hard to put into words the level of personal and respectful service we experienced throughout our three night stay. By the time we checked out, we felt like honored guests and close family, both at the same time. As we continued our travels through Japan, we met several natives of Kanazawa who live in other cities. Each of them knew of Asadaya by reputation, and each said the same thing: ”Asadaya is famous in Japan. Asadaya is well-known as one of the finest ryokans. You're so lucky to have stayed there.” Indeed, we were fortunate to experience this traditional ryokan experience. We'll be forever be grateful to sixteenth generation owner Qta, his mom Mrs. Asada, and everyone who hosted and cared for us. We're happy to have made their friendships and to experienced Japan through their hospitality. Tips: Don't miss the D.T. Suzuki Museum, one of the finest pieces of contemporary architecture on the planet and an equal of Mies' Barcelona Pavilion. If you're in town long enough, be sure to visit one of Qta's restaurants. We enjoyed phenomenal teppanyaki at Rokkakudo. Kanazawa is a wonderful small city. We highly recommend a multi-night stay to have the time to relax into it and enjoy all it has to offer.

Stayed here for 8 nights as we used Kanazawa as the base to travel to different areas. This hotel just opened 6 months ago so everything is very new. It is very central - 25 min walk or 15 min bus from Kanazawa Station or taxi around 1100 yen; right by Korinbo shopping area with lots of restaurants. It’s 8 minute walk to 21st century museum, Kanazawa castle and Kenrokurn Garden. I had a twin room and it’s very spacious. There is a full tub and shower and a separate toilet area. Highly recommended

I stayed in Nikko Kanazawa that I stayed the day before, but I stayed without a choice, but a pod type hotel that is not comparable. But the correspondence of midnight use was more than a long established hotel. I heard about Kanazawa, a nice senior at the front desk, but I wanted to go to Kanazawa's good information and to go to Kanazawa. I was taught, Nagomi and ★★★★★ I ate at a long established hotel, but compared to that, the price is less than half price, the dishes are ten times delicious, and the cozy is very good. If you give the name of the front desk, you can't get it special 🍴🈵😆 If you want to enjoy Kanazawa, it's best to ask at this hotel.

This is the kind of homestay where many people live together. There is only a separate space for three people, and the rest are public facilities. The hotel’s location is about 10-15 minutes away from the station. In a street full of restaurants, the convenience store is far away, but the izakaya next to it is very characteristic. There are more locals, the owner is very enthusiastic, and a large conch is also presented. . The owner of the hotel is very nice and enthusiastic, and patiently help us guide the way. It may be that we are used to living in an environment with a separate bathroom, but feel that the private space is too small and inconvenient. There is nothing in the room except the quilt. We are not used to it and can only go out and stroll around. If you don’t mind these, language communication is barrier-free, and those willing to interact with locals, you can choose here.

The hotel definitely feels a bit old and tired, but it's still very clean and comfortable with excellent service. I was upgraded to what was essentially a junior suite due to my status and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. The pillows were too soft for my taste but luckily there was a harder pillow in the closest. The toilet has an automatic bidet which will raise the lid as you get near it and then automatically flush (fancy!). Every morning the staff would also provide newspapers, which I thought was really old school. Location-wise this hotel can't be beat. You're literally right next to Kanazawa Station which gives you easy transportation access and also puts you close to dining options. There are a lot of malls around the station with good restaurants and shops. There's also a large 711 just a few steps away. The only gripe I had about the room was that I found the sink area to be a bit too small and there was little space for me to put my toiletries.

I used it with my family for sightseeing in Kanazawa. It is close to Kanazawa Station and has a parking lot. The interior is beautiful in a new hotel. The unit bath is also very large. However, dust was conspicuous around the air conditioner and in the nanoe blowout. I want you to clean this area a little more. The air conditioner was a little bad, probably because the filter was also clogged. The staff 々 is very kind and comfortable. There was a deck where you could see the Shinkansen and conventional lines, and the children were happy. Breakfast is delicious, but the child who sleeps with the child does not have breakfast, so it is okay to pay, so I think it would have been nice if there was a little rice for children. I still want to use it.

The room is not big, but it is enough for me traveling alone. The room facilities are full of details, and the breakfast is great for me who loves Japanese food! The free ramen in the evening is also very good. As for the free popsicles, I don’t really like them~ The location is excellent, with buses 200 meters in front of the door leading to all directions, including many going to Kanazawa Station. This time I only brought a 20-inch small suitcase, so I simply walked there and back; the Omi Town Market is within easy reach, and I can also walk to Kenrokuen Garden, the Museum of Art, and Higashi Chaya Street. Kanazawa is so big, so walking Healthier^_^ The hot spring ♨️ can be rated 8 out of 10. It feels good to look up at the moonlight in the outdoor pool and be drenched by the drizzle. If I come to Kanazawa again, I will most likely choose here again.

A small place, and very, very cozy. I had never stayed in a place where they made you feel so much at home. The owners take the time to explain what is necessary, they educate you about the place, I was really touched by their kindness. In relation to the rooms, I stayed in the mixed dormitory room, with very spacious and comfortable beds, and the curtains give the privacy necessary to have your space when you need to rest. The bathrooms equally clean. They do not give towels, even if they rent if necessary, so I recommend bringing your own if you want to save a little. It is a shame not to be able to give more points to this hostel, because it really deserves it !!!! 1000% recommended.

I know that the parking lot across the road is large, but it is still troublesome to cross the place without the crosswalk. There is a restaurant and relaxation. There is a little game corner, but the meal is not so delicious, and the cherry blossoms are hard to take. It is large, so it is helpful for children, and there is a space to sleep and watch TV, and it can be enjoyed easily. The bathroom is still crowded with women's baths and there is a time zone that is difficult to find space. The hot water in the kusunoki bath is ok with the dirt that is conspicuous.

Breakfast is delicious and many kinds for free, but depending on the time zone, you will wait for the seat to be empty. There is no direct bus from Kanazawa Station, and it is about 15 minutes walk from Naruwa or transfer at Musashigatsuji. Blue Hour is a nice, comfortable modern hostel about a 5 minute walk from the train station. Honestly it had some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in Japan and my larger trip. The beds are pods too with a privacy curtain, light and mirror inside. The privacy you get is so nice. The female dorm also has a small seating area just for its guests and a small fridge for breakfast. The female dorm is also key code locked and has its own bathroom. The small grocery store in the building is a great feature too. I was here in summer and have a few items to be aware of: - There is Air Con in the dorms but it doesn’t get in to the bed pods so those can be toasty - The air con in the female area also isn’t very strong but it’s not too bad - Great WiFi speed - No laundry but laundromat nearby - This is on the third floor and there is NO lift. So the walk up with luggage is hot My only issues were that staff didn’t speak much English and gave misinformation about how to get around the city. Just go to the train station and get help there. I also had an issue with my bed but staff took care of it the next day at my request. One last thing, the dorm area can be loud, especially with suitcases knocking around and people coming in/out of the locked door. Overall, I would stay again and recommend it for a short stay.

Close to Emachi Market, the room size is larger than expected, and very clean and tidy. If you need a comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, you can get it from the lobby. The hotel also has a self-service breakfast that you can choose to buy. There are also free umbrellas that you can borrow, but remember to bring them back to the hotel after use. The room cleaning at the time of the consecutive night is paid, the sheets exchange is 1 weeks, and the towels and room clothes are exchanged every day. Jincheng Building is a hotel selected for a century-old hotel. The main building has six rooms. It has added a few rooms. The overall hotel room operation is not very online and the professional hotel group management is not on the same level. I introduced the public space before the staff in Heyabi. The introduction of the young female staff at the time of check-in was scrawled. The staff of the Co-Li Group Jiayun who stayed in the cloud were trained to introduce foreigners in detail with translators. The hotel facilities and supplies are higher than other old brands such as Xicunwu Xinjing Hotel. The famous luxury gold grotto. Check in at four o'clock check out at eleven o'clock dinner is estimated to have a banquet. I was arranged to go to the hotel to eat Western food. The environmental service is very good. The external business is looking at the Kanazawa City Wall package. About 750 yuan. The recommended breakfast hotel private room grilled fish is very delicious. Other general simple menus are also omitted. The air conditioner sound is too loud. The window is not shaded at all. I wake up at five o'clock. The eyes are red. The service is punctual and thoughtful, but there is no longe concept. The room that is turned off in the public space can be locked in. It is not recommended to stay in the room.

GAOoo~Super heart-warming homestay! In order to be able to get the dog, regardless of the price, regardless of the location, this homestay was set, and it proved to be worth the money! Because I spent a little longer in Shirakawago, the time to Kanazawa was greatly delayed, and it was almost 11 o'clock when I arrived at the guesthouse. It should be a direct bus from Kanazawa Station to Higashi Chaya Street, but it was too late and even the bus was gone. After a short 30-minute walk on the road in Kanazawa, I finally found it. It is an ordinary family located in a residential area, and the entrance is not easy to recognize. I was embarrassed to rang the doorbell and quarreled the landlord and the landlord’s wife. However, their attitude is still very kind and friendly, and they also gave me a detailed explanation of the various facilities in the room and how to use it. The shower room is at the entrance, and it is still a bit cold to walk outside from the air-conditioned room at night. Bath towels are provided. The landlord lives on the first floor, while the tourists live on the second floor, with two rooms. However, I was the only one who checked in that day, so there is no need to think about sharing the room with others. Breakfast on the second day can be added for 300 yen, with salad, bread, tea or coffee. The amount is quite adequate. The experience of having breakfast in a Japanese home is really great! If the dog gets up early enough, it seems that I can go for a walk with the hostess, but I missed it. GAOoo is a 6 and a half years old (early 2020) male Shiba Inu, quite docile and not afraid of living. During breakfast, he looked at my bananas and whimpered, which is so cute! ! ! As the ”sales manager” of the hotel, the landlord will bring GAOoo out and watch the guests leave together. It is very warm. Just arranging for a day in Kanazawa is really not enough, I will definitely come to Kanazawa again, and I will definitely come back to GAOoo again!

I took the airport bus from Komatsu Airport to the west exit of Kanazawa Station, and first I left my luggage at this hotel and went to Kanazawa city sightseeing. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk from the west exit of the station where I got off the airport bus. Accommodation is reasonable with simple breakfast for a fairly close distance from the station. The city sightseeing is convenient to use buses from the east side of Kanazawa Station, but there is no distance from this hotel to the east exit of the station. The room is clean, but there is a feeling that it is a bit narrow. In the morning, it is a snack centered on bread. When you leave the hotel and go to your left hand, there is a street with a lot of traffic, but there is a convenience store when you cross. We were able to stay comfortably.

There are 3 good points. 1st, the location is very good, as it was walking distance from/to most of the places I wanted to visit. It's about a ~10min walk from Kanazawa Station, so no hassle getting to the hotel when you arrive. It's about ~10-15min walk to Kanazawa Castle (金沢城) and Kenrokuen (兼六園). The Omicho Market (近江町市場) is literally right across the street, so you can easily hop over there to either start or end your day with some sushi. For the more distant places, there are nearby bus stops to get to areas like the Higashi Chaya district (ひがし茶屋街) or the museums. (Though if you prefer walking, Higashi Chaya district is still walkable at about ~15-20mins). 2nd, the room was quite spacious for a solo traveler, as compared to the typical business hotel. It has a unit-type toilet+bathroom, but it was spacious enough that you can change in there (I think it can even fit 2 people at once). The room was very clean and tidy, and since all rooms are non-smoking, the place doesn't smell funny. The room provides complete amenities like the hot water kettle, a ref, and enough sockets for charging your gear. 3rd, the breakfast buffet was delicious. The selection of both western and local japanese dishes made it worth its price. There is unlimited coffee too, which is available even outside the buffet (great for people who can't go throughout the day without coffee). The staff speaks English well, so no worries if your Japanese skills aren't that great like me. All in all, would gladly stay here again if I find myself in Kanazawa :)
