This resort ticks all the boxes: food, recreation, rooms, library & above all spirituality. Words like yummy, delicious and scrumptious fall short of describing the taste. The restaurant staff is friendly. I met Pranab & Sheetal daily during breakfast & meals. A lot was shared about the local cuisine, history of Temi tea and the culture of Sikkim. The resort layout is mindblowing- lotof open space with benches to soak in the early morning sunset and enjoy the evening twilight. Sounds of ofbells, aggarbatti fragrance from the Pashupatinath temple and soft devotional music simply add to the positivity of space. The white Buddha statue adds to the already divine atmospehere. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean, neat and tidy. It has all the amenities that one can wish for. Mayfair, you may always remain fair to your customer. Good basic no frills hotel. Excellent food for the cost. Not luxurious but since we had full day tours and were only looking for a clean place to stay this seemed adequate. Pros: Staff is friendly, cooperative and eager to help. They had planned a good birthday surprise upon request by travel agent. Wife fell ill due to long drive from Bagdogra but the restaurant staff (especially stewardess Preeti) took good care and provided hot water which we appreciated. Suggestions for improvement: The rooms and sheets are clean. However, there is bit of cobweb, mould and faded paint in some parts of the room. Someone checking in at night may find it dingy due to low lighting. We would come here again for the good hospitality and delicious food.

I am really pleased with the hospitality and service extended at this hotel. Its a heritage property turned into a 5* hotel. The look and feel is palatial and elegant. Every nook and corner oozes with royalty. The lobby is extravagant with plush sofas, for your chit chats and meetings. The lawn beside the lobby is the USP of the hotel. The view of the Kanchenjunga peak sneaking out of the mountains is a view to behold. The resident dog, Hilton was a delight for my kid. The hotel is situated just down the road from the main crossing leading towards the Paljor Stadium. The lawn has a bird's eye view of the Stadium. The whole property is carpeted and is very quaint & quiet. There is a separate space for the spa and/or salon. There is a lot of greenery in and around the property. Coming to the rooms, the setting is beautiful with wooden flooring and a very comfortable bed. We got the opportunity of a suite upgrade on our last day of stay, it turned out to be even better. The rooms have a good size and comes equipped with all relevant amenities and a heater for the winters. The bathroom had a bathtub and a large geyser, for that extra flow of hot water. The views from the rooms are not that great though. Another USP of the hotel was the lovely food they served. Each and every meal was brilliant. We stayed for a total of 5 nights there and each day we had something different to taste. For a specific lunch, we had ordered ***y off-the-menu dishes and the staff obliged us by cooking them deliciously. They were polite enough to cook baby food for my kid and give them in a flask for later consumption. They were extremely cordial and forward in there approach. They have a bar as well. The prices are a tad bit on the higher side.

I have been to ***y budget hotels but to be Honest this one is the best according to service and Hospitality. Rooms are also decent according to the price. The person on the Reception Mr Pravat is very cooperative and also helps in arranging tours. The most important is the location..just 5min walking to Mg Marg. Had a wonderful experience @ Muscatel Delamere Central. Its location is in a small alley just near the MG Road however the interior of the hotel and the polite staff are just fabalous. We stayed there for three nights in one of the attic room with a wonderful view of the mountains and clouds. The staff was really very helpful and the food was also good. The attic room had a staircase and a triple bed at the top, so the stay was really comfortable. I would loved to have a more varied breakfast menu though but not complaining. I would loved to stay in the hotel in my next visit to Gangtok

Hotel New Castle score high on all fronts. It's very clean, in a great location, and the staff take hospitality to the next level. Ravi is the most reliable person I've come across in organizing trips. He quickly grasps what exactly the guests are looking for, and finds the most suitable solution rapidly and efficiently. He found us good vehicles , safe drivers at a reasonable cost. To us, Ravi is the face of Gangtok now. In fact, on the first evening, he smilingly assured us he would personally come to fetch us back if we couldn't get a taxi. We did get one :-) I was amazed to find him hand us some beautifully packed muffins and sandwiches ( at 7 am !) as were setting out on a long trip - he said we wouldn't find decent vegetarian options at the end of our journey. His ***tra really is ” Athithi Devo Bhavaha” - the Guest is God. Sanju would cheerfully fetch us wonderful piping hot coffee early in the morning, when the restaurant was not even open . Rajen , always smiling and helpful; at the front desk . The hotel is on the main road, about a km to MG Market. Time taken is a better measure than distance as the roads wind up and down a lot in Gangtok. However local share taxis charge Rs 20/ per person to take you there, so the location is still very central and comfortable. Perhaps there could be better hotels - but you would be hard put to find people who would work so hard to make your trip a wonderful memory. I would recommend this whole heartedly.

Hotel has Live band playing English & Bollywood songs in the evening time and has Disco night (clubbing) at the PUB located in basement on Saturday nights, charge is Rs 1000 for male and free entry for female (charges applicable for in room guests also) We got JAIN FOOD on request and we enjoyed the food. View of the valley from the hotel is very good and we had mountain view from our room. Hotel is located slightly far from the market, though not very far. Overall a great experience and I got value for money for my stay

There is no better stay you could find in entire gangtok than Tag*****, I had such a wonderful experience staying here. The Travel cafe downstairs(owned by tag*****) is the highlight of the entire stay, with amazing food and friendly service, you would mostly want to be chilling out at the cafe. The cafe has live All the said amenities were provided and the rooms, washrooms were clean with 24 hrs hot water available. The internet was good too for working. The vibe of the entire place is so accommodating even for a solo traveler that I met a bunch of people traveling to the same destination and we planned the commute together. They also arrange travel and stay for different parts of the sikkim ***** with travel permit, make sure you inform them well in advance to Tag***** with fellow backpackers ***isha is the most friendliest host I have come across and with such warm hospitality I can only think of my next visit. This place has the x-factor thats missing in all the zostels I've visited in the past.

I stayed with my family for one night as a stopover before proceeding to North Sikkim. The room was functional but clean. The reception is not immediately visible when you reach the hotel, in fact it is two stories above. Had dinner and breakfast which was light on the wallet and good overall.
