|0.98km from city centerTheres no denying the staff at front desk are receptive, attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The location is superb. The dining area allows you to look over at the promenade....But I wish there were some regulation / international standard with the star rating of a hotel, especially when you chose the hotel based on star rating. I would not consider Hotel Horitzo to be a 4 star hotel, compared to other hotels I've stayed at ranging from 2 star -5 star. This is due to the sheer fact that the rooms were fairly basic. A mini fridge with no snacks, drinks or appliances. There is also no water readily available for guests throughout the day. Just breakfast and maybe dinner. Upon that said, there is a small supermarket called Condis 3 minutes from the hotel, as soon as you exit the hotel, immediate right up the road till the zebra crossing left on the right. . Not far at all. The price of the hotel is based on its location. Directly across the beach. That's it's main selling point. Some rooms may come with a power shower, very impressive others do not. If you do not get a beach front view you most likely will end up looking at the local area ( residents flats). Not picturesque at all. The variety for breakfast is satisfactory. Quite limited. There are few restaurants along the beach front, dotted around the beach front which enables you to experience Blanes day and night. Blanes is a lovely place for couples, family and the elderly. I'd have had my expectations matched if it said 3 stars.

|1.37km from city centerIf you want 5 star luxury I’m afraid you have to pay for it. We’ve just got back from a cheap week at the hotel Esplendid and can say it does what it says on the tin. Good bits. Air con worked fine, Pool area is nice, Location is great, it’s very clean the rooms are done daily and towels swapped every day if you ask, Breakfast was ok, you can hire a hairdryer for €5 for the week & a deposit for the tv remote is required. Not so Good bits. We had a pool facing room (which you want) but there is a night club across the road so if you can ask for a pool facing room, so you can sleep. A big one this for some people this hotel doesn’t serve Alcohol at all. They don’t mind you bringing your own in which we found the be a lot cheaper €1.20 for a large cold beer from the supermarket across the road. The pool bar food wasn’t very good. Overall it is what it is a little dated and in need of a bit of TLC but we had a good time they don’t have a lot of British guests mostly French and Spanish. But that was fine and the no booze rule keeps it quite at nights. Don’t be put off if your on a budget you’re going to enjoy it . Blanes is lovely if you want a mad holiday Lloret de Mar is 5 miles away .

|1.18km from city centerI had an exceptional stay at Petit Palau during five days recently. The whole staff was friendly, sincere and always welcoming, including the breakfast and cleaning personnel. There are many things to praise, but a few things deserve to be highlighted. First of all the bed, it was fantastic, super comfortable! The shower was modern and had a luxurious touch to it. The overall cleanliness of the hotel should be mentioned, it was absolutely spotless. The breakfast was varied, delicious and healthy with an assortment of fresh fruits and local produce in addition to all else that was included. Lastly, since Blanes was blessed with warm, sunny spring weather during my stay, I had the pleasure of enjoying it from my private 6th floor balcony with rooftop views! My thanks to Esther, Nil and the whole staff for the excellent service, and see you next time! Best regards, Mitja Lehto

|1.4km from city centerLocation is fabulous however once you look past the stunning views and look closely at the furnishings then you start to notice how tired and shabby the rooms actually are! The sofa bed in room 707 was covered in stains, the curtains had holes in them and we’re actually dirty (don’t think they had been cleaned since they were hung) the maiden outside was covered in dirt and dust which we cleaned as we couldn’t put out our towels. I took photos of the room as we were told when we booked in that the hotel charged €200 deposit as we were liable to leave the room in a clean condition. We were dropped off by our transfer company around the corner and told the hotel was just around the corner, when we arrived at the hotel there was a note on the door telling us we must go to the Hotel Horitzo. No map no instructions, not ideal when you have been travelling through the night, in a foreign country, don’t speak Spanish and you have to stop and ask someone if they can help? We did find out where the hotel was some 600 meters away with 4 pieces of luggage in 75 degrees heat! Then we had to trape back and were confronted with a disgusting room. But as Brits we tried to make good and mend, we bought a load of cleaning stuff and stayed the night, however one night was enough on the sofa bed which was the worst nights sleep in my life, another trip down to the Hotel Horitzo and we showed our evidence and asked to be moved and they obliged by asking €20 per night more for room 101. Once again the room wasn’t up to standard but we persevered and cleaned it ourselves, we shouldn’t have been put in that situation as the resort had only just opened and all the rooms should have been pristine imo, the outside of the accommodation was being used as a dog’s toilet per stains on the outside of the building, this should have been hosed down on a daily basis, we won’t be staying here again, I waited for my deposit to be placed back into my account before writing this review

|0.19km from city centerThis hotel fulfills all of your requirements, warm bed, hot shower, breakfast is included. It's a great bang for your buck kind of place, especially if you're passing through. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. However, I don't recommend it for a longer stay for several reasons. For one, there are no refrigerators in the room. This forces you to eat out for all your meals. The furniture itself is a little on the older side. The rooms are an OK size, I did wish they were a little bigger. There is no view of the ocean from anywhere (except maybe the rooftop but it was closed while I was there), no fault of their own, just an observation. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear your neighbors do all kinds of things and their crying children. Overall, at that affordable price and with the kind and accommodating staff, it is worth it.

|0.95km from city centerWe stayed in a family room, which surpassed expectation. It was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. The staff are professional, friendly, and very helpful. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the centre and offers a great seafront position. The swimming pool on the top floor, although small, is well maintained and such a bonus to cool down and sunbathe on the loungers. Breakfast is superb. Fabulous choice of pastries, both hot and cold meats, eggs, and churros with delicious chocolate sauce. This hotel is deserving of 4 stars, in my opinion.

|0.35km from city centerExceptional from all levels , the location is just in-front of the beach and with a magical view. In the center of everything around restaurants and shops. The staff are amazing , very helpful and accommodating for any recommendations and reservations needed. The interior of the hotel is just indescribable with amazing view of the sea. Every room has different unique finishing and very clean. we stayed there with the family for 1 week and we really wished to stay longer as it really felt home. The breakfast is very fresh and coffee is a must try ! Highly recommended and definitely it will be our destination. Thank you Maria and all staff for this unique stay!
