We are so lucky to have Nina as our wedding planner, her extraordinary arrangement made our lives so much easier. As we are long distance couple (my husband is in Canada and I'm in Hong Kong), Skype meeting was setup to discuss wedding details. Having alpacas in pre-wedding photos and wedding ceremony is always my dream and I still can't believe it comes true! Hotel Epinard Nasu is superb, staff are friendly and helpful (shout out to Igarashi-san and Kumi!). They served great varieties of breakfast and the onsen is so relaxing! Having travelled many parts of Japan and stayed in beautiful onsen hotels, this one had to top it all. Pun aside, the hotel is perched on the fringe of the Japanese Alps (Mount Nasu) with beautiful surrounding foliage/forest and gorgeous mountain view The hotel seemed pretty new otherwise the management have upkept and maintained the place very well. We stayed on the 4th floor. The room is rather large overlooking the forest . The room came with came with a Nespresso coffee machine and it s accompanying coffee capsules. They also provide elaborate and smart-ooking yukatas (you can choose the beige or blue colour ones) . I also love their elaborate fine dining meals. At dinner it was a large spread of kaiseiki Japanese meals, where pains and attention are paid to the details, serving and meals prepared. I like their onsen facilities the most with indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor baths of different variety (silky baths, and the tubs ones with varying temperaturs) comes with an amazing view of the Japanese Alps. After your bath, you can pamper yourself with the lotions and moisturisers. They even have free ice cream for you! One the best onsen hotels in terms of cleanliness, view and facilities.

We're staying at a 2-rooms cottage with fully equipped kitchen. Each room has 2 big single beds & a sofa bed.The unit is comfortable & even has a fire place. Hotel has a nice onsen, table tennis & tennis for rent. It also has private entrance to the Nasu Highland Theme Park which is interesting for young kids & exciting for teens to spend the whole day. The reception sell discount ticket for guest but we only found out much later. However, the hotel accessibility is a big big problem without own transportation. The nearest convenient shop is about 15 min away & supermarket is 20 min away. Although hotel provide 3x free shuttle service to Nasushiobara train station, the timing doesn't coincide with other shuttle services provided by nearby attractions. It'll be good to add a stop at Nasu Garden before reaching the train station. During winter, the timing should adjust to coincide with the ski resort shuttle service at 8am & 6pm.

We chose to stay in Nasu Onsen 那須温泉, a spread out hotspring on the slope of Mt. Nasu. Yumoto 湯本 is the centre of the area, with many ryokans located, including the one we booked for the evening: Sanraku 那須温泉 山楽. This ryokan was started in 1923, visited by Emperor Showa 天皇昭和 before he decided to build his own imperial villa in Nasu, so there is a saying that his villa was inspired by the ryokan. It has a really beautiful backdrop of Nasu’s main peak: Chausudake 茶臼岳. The ryokan has prided itself with its hotspring, directly fed from the source 5.4 km away, with an abundance flow of 800 litres per minute. The ryokan made use of the gradual drop of temperature over distance to cool down the water and this hotspring is the same feeding the royal villa. We have booked the Modern Japanese Room with Garden Open-Air Bath. The bedroom is spacious (10 mats), with the veranda looking out at the garden, where there is a footbath along with the nice open-air bath with flowing hotspring, direct from source without heating or filtration. There are also two open and two indoor public baths, separately for male and female guests. The ryokan was not busy and so I had the whole bath for myself. I am particularly impressed by the open bath, created as a pool surrounded by the forest offering calm and tranquility. The other great feature was certainly the quality of the hotspring. Simple Onsen 単純温泉 in style, the semi-clear water has no smell, slightly alkaline and giving a nice smoothing experience. I felt all my neck pain gone after the soak and no wonder it was famous for healing properties. The ryokan also had a nice lobby with plenty of comfortable sofas looking at the window to the beautifully trimmed garden. Offering tea, coffee as well as wine and sake free for guests, we had a relaxing moment before returning to the room and got ready for dinner. Dinner is served at the private dining room Yumatsuki. We chose not to dine in room to avoid the smell of the food. All the dishes were fantastic in taste and plating, a true feast of flavors, texture and enjoyment. I also had the local sake Tentaka 天鷹, one of the most popular in Tochigi.

We've stayed at this hotel several times and love 1) the twice daily buffet included, 2) wonderful onsens, 3) it's OK to walk around the whole place in the provided yakuta (kimono) and slippers, 4) they swap the ladies side and men's side so you can experience both onsens. It's been many years since we last stayed there. This time the reasons the rating isn't excellent: a) they still prefer cash vs. credit card (10% discount if you pay in cash), b) they eliminated the herbal and sake onsen baths which made the place even more unique (and were among my favorite baths).

The breakfast in the hotel itself is very good. There are three places to eat. The western breakfast on the top floor is the best, followed by the western food on the Lobby floor. The Japanese breakfast on the Lobby floor is exquisite but not full. The room is clean and hygienic. The area for two adults with one child is large enough. The bed is wide enough. Size of the room type: Considering the price point, it can be considered in Shinjuku area. After all, you can't expect a large area of 20-30 square meters for a few hundred blocks. The hotel's location is very convenient, just on the departure floor of the International Departure Terminal of Haneda Airport. After reading other reviews, some said it was at counter L and some said it was at counter J. Go directly to the N check-in counter (the innermost one) on the departure floor, and then at the end of the counter is the hotel entrance. See Figures 1, 2, and 3. The front desk of the hotel is on this floor, then take the elevator to the floor where the room is located. The hotel is much larger than I expected. The 2nd to 7th floors of this terminal are all hotel rooms. The room is not big, but it is not too small. Because the child is not charged, there are only 2 beds that are put together. Slippers and pillows are for two people, you can go to the front desk and ask for another. Although the rooms are small, they are fully equipped and have bathtubs. The hotel's breakfast is said to be good, but it doesn't open until 6 o'clock. On our 8 o'clock flight, we didn't order breakfast. The restaurant also serves dinner. There are many other restaurants in the terminal, as well as fast food like Yoshinoya. If you have nothing to do, you can go to the observation deck to watch the plane take off and land. The walls and windows of the room were well soundproofed, and the sound of the plane taking off and landing was completely audible, but the soundproofing of the door was poor, and the sound of the corridor was clear. The location is very good and the shopping is very convenient. The transportation is convenient. The subway is on the right hand side when you go out. Below the photo, 4500 round-trips. The return trip needs to be confirmed. The return journey is at the Courtyard Marriott. 6 minutes. So there is no chance to experience the train and it should be very convenient. The only drawback of buses is that there are some traffic jams during peak hours. The subway / train may be faster with less luggage. The rooms are satisfactory, not small, clean, the staff is very friendly, and breakfast is ok. I don't know how to evaluate this hotel. The good places are very good, and the strange places are also very strange ... The hotel is in a good location, very close to Ginza, the front desk service is very good, and one day breakfast voucher is also presented. There are four restaurants for breakfast, American, French, Japanese and cafeteria, with slightly different opening hours. We went to the cafeteria on the 17th floor. The dishes were very rich. The ending time was a little early, and it ended at 9:30. The room is slightly small and the bathroom is not separated from wet and dry. Facilities are average, and health is good. The overall service is very good, but also encountered a small episode, knocking on the door to clean in the morning, before we go out, we said to clean an hour later. But after a while someone rang the doorbell, and it took only a few seconds. I didn't respond. A guy swiped in directly, took two bottles of water, and stayed in so many hotels. At least make sure that no one in the room swipes in again! I didn't apologize for seeing us in the room! I thought I gave two bottles of water before we went out, so I took the water out. I didn't expect to come back at night and found that there was no more water for cleaning. I did n’t understand this operation ... and we ate the instant noodle bowl Because of the soup in it, it was not thrown into the trash can, placed on the table, and was not cleaned up. Called to ask the reason, and explained that we thought we would eat again, but there was only a bite of soup in the instant noodle bowl. At first glance, it was garbage. Who would eat it? So I want to know where to throw the bowl next time if I eat instant noodles? Or does the hotel's regulations only take away in the trash? Due to the above problems, especially if someone in the room swipes the card directly to enter the door, it affects the check-in experience. Overall pretty good ~

The charm of this hotel is that the service is really good, whether it is the staff at the service counter or the reception staff at the door, they treat any guest with a smile on their faces and politely. I remember when I checked in, the young lady who received me talked and laughed with me with a smile on her face. The service was superb. And there is also a service to deliver food to the room, especially during the epidemic, it is very convenient without having to go out to eat. The cost of meals is a bit expensive, and the taste depends on personal preference. It looks more delicate. I have ordered some meals, they taste great and they taste very satisfying.

Ginza/Tsukiji
I mentioned to concierge that I went to Tokyo to celebrate my birthday. I hope I can book at the Shuriyobashi Jiro Main Store and try my best to book a birthday lunch at Roppongi branch. I ’m still very happy. As soon as I entered the room, I saw the hotel prepared for me. Birthday cake is so delicious! Very heartwarming service, the rooms are large and the facilities are luxurious and complete! The concierge service is too professional and kind, the mission must be reached!

The Tokyo company is recommended to stay here on business, walking distance from the office. Otherwise, maybe, I really don't choose this one ... Needless to say in terms of health. Japanese hotels or folk customs are generally very high. This home is no exception. But the equipment in the room is really too old, the smell of toilet aging permeates the whole room. The service staff are very welcoming and friendly, and they can help in time if there is a problem or need. The highlight of the hotel is the environment of the hotel. Japanese-style gardens and artificial waterfalls are quite powerful in places like Tokyo. All in all, if the hotel can be renovated, it will definitely come again.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi
It was the most wonderful hotel stay experience. The hotel was booked by me temporarily. If I had to add an extra bed, I immediately agreed and asked about the arrival time. The hotel is directly opposite Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. The scenery is unobstructed, and it is worth a day to sit on the sofa. The waiter in the lobby bar is very enthusiastic, but unfortunately the window is full, otherwise the wine and wine are invincible. Since I had to catch the early flight to return home, I went to the front desk and asked if I could cancel the breakfast. I didn't think that the young lady at the front desk could let us eat directly in the room after communication. Just inform the package type in advance and there is no extra charge. This service is simply intimate. Room service is available twice in this hotel and once in the evening around 8:30. The only downside is the semi-buffet breakfast in the hotel, not many choices

Tokyo Tower Area
Worthy of being a five-star hotel. Every staying guest received VIP-level reception services from all the staff of the hotel. Great! The location of the hotel is not to be chosen, directly overlooking the panoramic view of Tokyo Bay. Downstairs is the Takeshiba Wharf, where every summer cool boat docks here, and a large number of young Japanese men and women wearing traditional national costumes go up and down. The corridor on the third floor of the hotel is connected to Takeshiba Station on the Yurikamome Line Light Rail. Take the Yurikou Line for four stops to reach Odaiba. Experience the miraculous project of land reclamation in Japan. I will choose to stay here next time I come to Japan. You can walk to Tokyo Tower in 15 minutes. As a Pirate fan, you must come!
