|14.24km from city centerWe booked this hotel knowing they had a pool and a small kitchenette. We stayed for 6 nights. Upon arrival we were told that the pool is out of service. We were told they were waiting for a call back from the pool guy. We called down on our final night there and told that the pool was still out of service. They did offer us to go up the street to sister hotel to use their pool (this was nice and all, but when you have 3 little kids this is NOT an easy or quick thing). We did not get any room service with the exception of our 2nd day. This consisted of them handing me new towels at the door and I handed them the trash. We had to ask for them to come to our room for this. We had to bring our own trash to the dumpster daily. We also had to ask for trash bags daily. I can understand if you may be one of their long term residents but we clearly were not. Very small continental breakfast and did not change at all during our stay. They had bagel sandwiches and make your own waffles, along with yogurt and fruit cups, bread and bagels. They had cranberry juice and oj, but did not offer ice water. Staff was extremely friendly, and one staff made multiple recommendations for us of restaurants to try. Hotel was clean and on site laundry is great! ($1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry)

The hotel is under new management and has some work to be done. But the staff makes up for it. Shalena and Ms Dee are the best! They were kind, friendly and genuinely cared about my stay. I would stay here a million more times over due to the staff. Breakfast was great and housekeeping checked with me everyday!

A coworker and I sat at the long business table to finish up our workday, Ned made sure to check on us several times and even brought food and drinks to us, even though we were not in the restaurant/ bar area. We were able to relax while we we finished our workday. Ps. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich is AMAZING! Make sure you order one, you won’t regret it.

We were on 4th floor (there are 5), facing the busy roadway, and could hear some noise, even though in my reservation I requested the parking lot side, away from the highway; none were available upon our arrival around 2 PM. I rhink it would have been really loud to be much lower - the hotel itself is atop a steep hill, and that helps. From the looks of the cars in the parking lot, it appeared to be sold out on a Monday. There was a security guard on duty in the lot, which we liked. The evening reception was very nice, with beer and wine, and a Mexican food buffet. That and the also good breakfast choices, made the stay a good value. As my title notes, it was very convenient to the places we visited - even walking distance to Riverfront Park. But that steep hill back up to the hotel would be a challenge - and there is plenty of parking weekdays at the Park.

|9.37km from city centerI made a reservation for this hotel a few days ago. Upon completing the reservation I checked it in my Wyndham app and everything was confirmed. A couple hours before my wife arrive I checked the app and the reservation was no longer there. After contacting Wyndham they advised the reservation was canceled for some reason but could not tell me why. The lady at Wyndham help me rebook the reservation for a king bed nonsmoking. When my wife arrived almost 11 hours from home to this hotel they advised her they only had one room left and it was a smoking room. Due to her traveling by herself and it already being late she did not want to run around and try to find a better place however did not feel safe inside there with the door messed up. Upon entering the room she also found all kinds of filth and things that were not taking care of. I believe Wyndham should not have their name on this hotel if this hotel is not taking care of as a reason I book Wyndham is because they are normally decent places. Please refer to the photos of the room for some of the issues. I hope none of your other customers have to deal with this issue and that it is resolved

|2.91km from city centerI stayed here for one night while playing at an Oktoberfest off site. It was bascially pretty good. The room was modern and nice. There is a lot of noise fromt he street but it was Saturday night. The parking is in their garage and is free. You are just given a slip of paper to put on your dash. Check in and out were basically good. I did try to check out and got someone else's bill by accident. This was corrected though. The breakfast was not a good experience as I had to buy a dried oatmeal canister to put in my microwave. The coffee was good as it was Starbucks. All in all, if you are staying on campus, this is a good choice.

|7.25km from city centerFilth is the best way to describe this Super 8. The room was supposed to be 2 queen beds and it was 2 full beds with a queen headboard. Dead cockroaches on bathroom floor, live baby one on dresser as we set our bag down almost on top of it. Went to wash our hands and the sink drain emptied right onto the floor, we had to put the waste basket under it. The bed sheets were all wrinkled as if they hadn't changed them from the previous guest, also cigarette holes in the bedspread and the room stunk like old cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. We had to pay extra 25.00 for our small dog and she was cleaner than this room. Our dogs house is cleaner than this room. We arrived late and this was the only room available so we were stuck. We slept in our clothes on a blanket we brought with us on top of the bed that's how filthy it was. Never again will we stay in a Super 8, we will sleep in our car before we ever come back here or use a Super 8 again. FILTHY is the only way to describe this hotel. DO NOT STOP HERE. BEWARE FILTHY

Well later when I was ready to shower, I realized there was no body wash in the compartment. I called downstairs and some was brought up. Then as I was cleaning up the living area, I realized the trash had not been taken out from the previous guest. This really made me feel as if my room had not been cleaned properly. I had no coffee cups or coffee in my room just a coffee lid. I just did not have a pleasant stay at all. The room was spacious and the renovations were nice but apprehensive about staying again.

|9.43km from city centerMy children LOVE this hotel. They are happy that there is enough room for everyone to have their own space. We always get a spacious high level suite and sleep well. There is a pool, fire pit and basketball/volleyball court. The decor is aged (the carpet is definitely a trip and fall hazard - it is buckled and rippled) and the sofa and chair have seen much better days - but clean enough. The prices are decent for all of the amenities and it is centrally located. Breakfast is included in your stay as well as wifi. If I had to point out cons for this hotel it would be refrigerator door wouldn’t close properly so we ended up throwing out some of our cold items we had to clean the table surrounds(the legs of the table and chair backs were filthy and had remnants of previous visits). Darius was our greeter when checking in and he was wonderfully at tentative. So as with any hotel, bring a tub of sanitizing wipes and enjoy your stay.

|14.77km from city centerBeware of this hotel! Stayed nearly 30 days here. Had over $2000 still unresolved Fraud charges on two of my cards used at this hotel. Was harrassed daily even when room had been paid in full. Double charged twice during the stay tying up much needed funds that took over a month to get credited and refunded! Police were called , ultimately forced to leave a night I paid $165 for! Waited hours at the desk. They would run my card so many times and have it flagged for fraud - forcing me into hours on phone held hostage in their lobby while I had to call my bank and fight to have fraud alert lifted. Door keys constantly not working in the middle
Of the night. Pool room was freezing and pool dirty. The laundry had one working machine for entire hotel day and night. The printer was NEVER able to be used to print anything. The game
Room we were not even told existed until 3 weeks after staying there. Then once we knew about it no one could find where the game controller and supplies were kept. Horrid nightmare experience!

I immediately called Marriott and booked this hotel. This property has undergone a fairly recent reservation. The staff was courteous and responsive. I was amazed by coffee available at the lounge. It was as good as fresh coffee at a Starbucks store. The room was clean and quiet. A great stay after a bad experience. The property had the feel of a much higher priced hotel.

Upon check in I was advised they did not have to room available in which the reservation was made for, SOOO instead I was upgraded to a MUCH better and bigger room at no additional cost! The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable I did not want to get out of it the next morning! The built in dispensers in the shower was convienant and saved me from having to dig out my shampoo conditioner and body for one night. The ladies were extremely friendly and helpful at the front desk and I felt comfortable in knowing that if I needed anything it wasnt a bother to them as it is for other places.Kids had fun swimming and we even got a late night workout in as the fitness room was open 24/7!!

|7.6km from city centerReview of Extended Stay America Suites Columbia Ft Jackson South Carolina August 24, 2020. First the positive. The motel was a few minutes away from Fort Jackson. Now for the negative. We were charged more than double the going rate of $55.00 simply because this Extended Stay Facility was close to Fort Jackson on our granddaughter’s graduation day. The room they gave us was on the third floor facing I77 traffic which disturbed our sleep all night long. Then at 5 am the city garbage truck woke us up with its loud back up beeping and its banging the dumpster after we finally got a bit of sleep. We expected a two-room suite, a two room with a living room and a full kitchen as usually advertised, but this was an old one room place worse than a Motel 6. The rustic two burner stove and refrigerator in the kitchenette looked like something out of a 1950’s movie set and there were no kitchen utensils like advertised. The Hotel.com website said “Full Breakfast” which was a lie for when we got there, we were told all they had was a grab and go bag, and there were no bags just granola bars, muffins, oatmeal packet, cookies; just junky stuff. The lounge chair extended out, but refused to return. The door was so poorly hung that you could see light coming through the open crack at the bottom meaning any critter could crawl into your room. For the amount we paid we were expecting a full Extended Stay place. What a disappointment this place was.

The location of the hotel made it very easy to walk to and from the event at the convention center. We stayed two nights. When we checked into our room, we were very pleased by the room size and cleanliness. We did have to call down to the front desk to request a microwave. That took some time to arrive, but it did eventually come we were very grateful. The staff member who helped us was very professional. I wish that I could say the same about one of the staff member at the front desk. They seemed overwhelmed and unhappy from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. Im not sure what happened maybe just a bad day. I will say overall the weekend was very successful and the hotel met our needs and I will stay here again for future events at the convention center.

|2.54km from city centerI'm a little late with my review, but I dare not leave feedback for the staff who catered to my family and our needs during one of the most heartbreaking times of our lives. My family and I flew from all over to gather for my dear grandmother's funeral. From day one, Deshaun and Ashley have been very sweet, accommodating and supportive of whatever requests we needed. The events manager (forgot her name!) was also a huge help in letting us have the private repass in one of the conference rooms. We stayed for 2 weeks ,having to extend our time to help situation my grandmother's affairs and Ashley was very helpful in assisting us with multiple rooms and keeping us all near each other. While not all of the staff were as friendly or helpful, I am making it a point to call out those who were. We had a few housekeeping issues during certain shifts, but again we don't normally stay in local hotels for such an extended period of time, so I guess it was to be expected. We made the most of it and were grateful for the time we were there. Oh, and I dare not shout out the bartender, I think his name was Troy?! He was such a sweetheart and made some of the best Henny cocktails I've ever had. He consoled me on one of my bad nights missing my granny and he's a great listener! Thank you so much for those of you who helped and aided with my family during our time of need.
