Spent 3 days at Hotel Vaillant Sélestat. The location you can’t beat, you can walk to everything in the city center. The staff ( especially the people working at reception) are very friendly and always pleasant and attentive. The hotel is a small property, with a very warm atmosphere. Very good experience in the restaurant and breakfast and will return. »

I spent 8 nights here as base camp for my genealogy explorations of the Bas-Rhin, Alsace area of France. Selestat was the 'Arondisement' (County Seat) for my ancestors that lived nearby in Bootzheim and Mackenheim. A rental car is essential when staying out in the country - however, I did note that a bus ran along the main road nearby - but the schedule was for commuters, so nothing after 7 pm. The hotel is charming, clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and generous. They have a sweet cat named Georgie who will snuggle with you on a couch in the lounge or entertain you out in the garden while you watch and have breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices of bread, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, muesli, make your own crepes, coffee and fruit juice. All very tasty and the dining room addition they built is well situated, with the garden outside and views of the River Ill. They have a photo album in the library/lounge with before and after photos - they went through a major renovation when they purchased the property - kudos to them for them for the vision an patience to make it happen. All was wonderful. I only have to say, as a Construction Project Manager for a School District and having replaced carpet in schools for 3 summers in a row - it is time for a carpet update! I can't go anywhere without looking at the carpet.....occupational hazard. ;-)

We stayed 4 days here during a hot part of June 2019. The hotel is beautifully maintained and our room and the others we saw were elegant and included interesting stylistic features. There is a very good swimming pool and spa area which helped with several days in the high 30s. Our room had a loft (#9) which although beautiful I cannot recommend if the weather is hot, as the loft stays very warm at night. There is air conditioning, but it cannot cool the loft effectively. We actually pulled our bedding and slept on the floor below the loft level to stay cool one night. There are also a lot of stairs to reach this room. Breakfast is very good and presented in a lovely room off the "front desk". It is on the expensive given limited hot offerings. The restaurant is near exceptional and the chef is the owners son. It is beautifully decorated, and service is efficient. We had three different main courses as well as entrees and all were very good to excellent. Wine choices were very good and reasonable. On several of the nights there were organized get-togethers in the courtyard outside the restaurant. These sort of "took over" the area from the guests, but it is a beautiful setting and I can imagine its popularity for organizations. The location is outside of Selestat and on a main road, but it is very quiet at night. The owners-operators are very nice people who do all they can to help you with their stay. When we were there we appeared to be the only english-speaking guests.

The hotel is located in the heart of Lyon, just a 5 minute walk from the central square and shopping streets. There are a variety of specialty shops in the shopping street, big-name luxury jewelry and ZARA, HM, etc., although not comparable to the Paris store, the goods are all, but the basic models are available to meet the basic shopping needs. The most acclaimed hotel is the breakfast, on the top floor of the hotel, with a view of the Rhone River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The breakfast is extremely rich, because it is the holiday season, breakfast is delayed until 11 o'clock, you can rest assured that you can take a nap and slowly enjoy a fine brunch.

Italy was passing by the stop city back to Paris. It did n’t have much hope. The comments at night were good and bad, as long as they could live, but it was really good! Clean and spacious, booked a room with a living room, booking information is for three people, the sofa bed in the living room was opened and paved at the time of check-in, the balcony is also a large balcony connecting the living room to the bedroom, it is nice to have a kitchenette, walking near the hotel There is a slightly bigger Carrefour in 5 minutes. In the morning, my husband and the child did n’t get up to buy some juice, milk, bread, salad, etc. After all, it ’s not cheap to eat outside. This is a great staying experience and I will choose you if you have one.

It was learned that Lyon’s old town was very difficult to park, and it was specifically designed as a landmark hotel in the new city. This hotel can be seen from afar, but it is not easy to find the hotel entrance and parking lot by car. Because the nearby road is under construction, it took three laps to find the hotel's small entrance. The parking lot is large, 25 euros a day. The hotel lobby is on the 32nd floor and the room is above the 33rd floor. The view is good and has its own characteristics. The room is small, it is fan-shaped, and two adults with a child sleep very crowded. The sanitation is very good, quiet, carpeted, not ventilated, the shower floor is a bit slippery, there is no place to dry clothes. The hotel has a restaurant, dinner is good, service is good. There is no bustling old town nearby, and there is a large public car park next to the food city not far from the hotel.

We were looking for a good hotel which would serve as our stopover as we were driving to the South of France. We booked a night stay in this beautiful InterContinental Hotel. We arrived around noon and by accident drove directly to the hotel's garage. It was unclear if there was valet or if we could self park our car. As we did not get in to the garage, we were stuck there as the bell in the garage was rather complicated. We phoned the front desk and quickly someone helped park our car. The bellboy took our luggage and escorted us to the reception. We were quickly checked in and received a very nice upgrade to one of the beautiful Executive Duplex rooms with views over the river. The hotel itself is huge and is simply beautiful. There are many restaurants and shops in the premises and is located in the heart of Lyon, everything can be done by foot. Our room was very large and had a cosy seating area on the top level. Downstairs, there was a very comfortable bed and the bathroom with large walk in shower. The window in the room was floor to ceiling but probably hard to clean as there were some cobwebs on it. Staff were very helpful with a city map and recommending sights and restaurants nearby. Within walking distance, there are many good places to eat and shopping streets are very closeby.

The location of the hotel is really good. Downstairs is Sephora opposite Paris Spring, and then White Apple Square, but the hotel rooms are really too small, and then there is no bathtub. The hotel I booked was very expensive because at the time It ’s the Lyon Festival of Lights, so it ’s very expensive. It ’s usually not that expensive. If you judge this hotel by its value, it ’s not worth it. I think its value should be around 1,000 yuan. Simple is rude, because breakfast is not so good, but there are few juices that are not freshly squeezed for tea, and you have to make your own tea in bags. The hotel does not have any service at the front desk to check in, and it is not very fast, but it is generally okay. It is not worth 1,000 yuan or more for 1,000 yuan, thank you!

Driving to Lyon, the navigation said that the destination has been reached. I did n’t find where the hotel was. I got out of the car and looked carefully to find that the navigation was OK. The hotel door was too inconspicuous! The hotel is in a good location, next to the central square. The hotel feels old, the waiter is very welcoming, the weather in Lyon is very hot, but the hotel's air conditioning is poor, and the rooms are hot and small. Breakfast was good and variety.

The most comfortable hotel in France, the train station is 2 minutes out, convenient to catch a car. The city of Lyon is also relatively clean, not as messy as Paris. Clean and hygienic, the room size is large, and finally catch up with Chinese domestic hotels. Breakfast is 18.9 euros, which is quite rich. Anyway, it is Western-style. Sausage tastes good

The location of the hotel is very good. It is about 10 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the shopping spots on the other side of the river. Life is convenient, there is an Uexpress supermarket downstairs, you can buy fruits, yogurt, super delicious. Must be freshly squeezed juice, cheap and delicious! The room is not big, but each double bed is 1.5 meters wide. It is no problem for two people to sleep on the same bed. It is a good news for families with children. The room is very clean. Although it is not very high-end, it is not bad.

Generally speaking, the facilities are relatively old, the plugs are loose and sometimes they are not charged. The surrounding area is quite convenient. It takes about ten minutes to get to the train station. It is very close to Lafayette. There are many supermarkets that just don't open the door on weekends. A print service is available at the front desk. The sound of the train station was slightly louder at night.

This is a five-star hotel in a classic style, converted from an old building. Definitely not the kind of hotel used in China. In the center of the old town of Lyon, there are various stores on the doorstep, and a stylish chocolate shop diagonally opposite, and the famous Rose Tower attractions across the alley next to the hotel. The interior decoration of the hotel is also old-fashioned, the door is opened with a key and no card is needed. The room was beautiful and welcoming, the toilet and shower room were separated. There is also a spa on the top floor. We went to live in Lyon on the day of the annual Lyon Festival of Lights, and on the weekend, the room price doubled several times than usual. It's easy to miss without paying attention. If the usual price to live is definitely possible. Holidays are definitely expensive. It is very convenient to visit and live in the old town. Self-driving is not suitable and I don't know where the car can be parked.

On the hill, the hotel overlooks the old town and the main church, and the scenery is breathtaking.
