Love coming to the Embassy Suites when I need to to spend the night in BCS for medical appointments. The Hilton Conference Center is also a great place, I’d prefer Embassy due to the comfortable down to earth atmosphere. Their gym and other amenities are some of my favorite. Happy Hour til 730pm!!! Can’t go wrong and their restaurant/bar has the best staff!

Usually I stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites on Earl Rudder when I’m in town, but I had recently stayed with a friend at a Home2 Suites in the Houston Area and found it pleasant, so when I saw there was one in College Station, I thought I would give it a try. It’s located close to campus — pretty much walking distance — which is a plus for family who might be visiting their kids at College. It also backs onto a mixed-use development with a lot of restaurant options, another strong positive. While Texas no longer has a mask ordinance for COVID-19, the CDC and state govt strongly encourage people to use them. This hotel has signs on the windows stating that masks are required, but the majority of guests seem to ignore it and I did not witness any staff requesting customers wear them (even when waiting in line to check in). One of the elevators was broken which meant 6-7 unmasked people crowding into an elevator despite the sign on the elevator door saying “2 people max”. I have a medical condition which places me at high risk, so I always wear a mask. I also take a daily injection which is required to be kept refrigerated, so I choose my travel accommodations partially on the availability of an in-room fridge. The Home2 Suites offer a partial kitchen — full sized fridge, dishwasher, plates and cups, sink and an available burner/pan. I stayed in room 509, but unfortunately the fridge and freezer in that room was not cooling. I tried turning the settings down lower but it still was not cooling. I called the front desk and advised them that it didn’t work, and made do with the small ice chest I carry with me when I travel. The rest of the room was OK. The king bed was comfortable, albeit they only give you two pillows and a decorative throw pillow. The walk-in shower was nice and hot water was ample. Water pressure was strong. Four sets of towels were provided, more than enough for a solo traveler. The plugs built into the nightstand didn’t work, which was annoying, but not a big deal. Overall the Home2 Suites isn’t a bad option when visiting town. Being close to campus and in walking distance to a number of restaurants is a big plus. Plus the couch makes into a sleeper sofa, perfect for larger families. For the price point I would have hoped that things were in better repair — especially when you market yourself as a facility for extended stays. I probably would not stay here again, but that’s based on my special needs. For a family visiting their college kids, it’s a good option and close to everything.

First time I stayed at the property and my impression of the lobby with the Texas A&M logo in front of the fireplace. The hotel is not a upscale , but it is easy location to campus and the King Size beds had all the amenities I needed. I'm glad they had restaurants close by that I could walk to and grab some dinner. The price were reasonable compared to other properties I had seen on the internet. I will be coming back to stay again at the Econolodge College Station.

We had the best time for our 7v7 tournament weekend in College Station. The George was perfect, the rooms were great, beds were comfortable and all amenities were awesome. This was a cool swanky little hotel with a great swim area and a great bar. Even being as busy as they were, they were very kind and on top of it! On top of it being so great was the location, it had every style of food. So much so that you never really had to leave the area. They had Tex-Mex, burgers and a pizza place and even a Candy shop with all types of shopping around. It was great and we'll definitely be back again!

I had an unexpected need for a hotel room during a weekend when every hotel was sold out. Yradne went above and beyond to help me find a room for the night. She took the time to physically inspect the room before selling me the reservation. I cannot thank Yradne enough for her willingness to hear my problem, evaluate options that would meet my needs, and find a solution that exceeded my request. Please help me to extend my gratitude to Yradne for her superior customer service.

We were in College Station for a show and reserved the Microtel for our stay! It was a great experience and from the time we entered the hotel, my daughter was so excited about staying here. The staff was very nice and even helped me in locating my brand new Oakley shades that I misplaced upon check in. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I was able to rest each evening without worries of being woken up with loud neighbors. Thank you for such a nice experience. We will be back!

We were last minute booking due to a problem with a different hotel brand. We called the property and they were wonderful. She warned us there was ongoing renovation, but it really was not noticeable except for the neatly stacked materials in the parking lot and adjacent to the pool. It was a good experience. Towels were the only negative. When we asked for extra towels, we got a stack of cotton bath mats.

Overall the entire experience was nice. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The checkin process was easy associate was friendly even though we arrived a little late. Breakfast smelled delicious and check out could of improved. Not a hotel stay issue but more of a customer service issue. Yet her mocking me while I was still at the lobby does not take away from the rest of the staff being awesome. Custodians hats off rooms were clean and that’s in my opinion the best feeling for me.

Surprisingly the bed sheets had some stains and pillows were smelling and there was an unusual odor in the room. We booked this hotel thinking it is very near to Texas A&M university campus but for similar or even better price you will find much cleaner hotel. Also, I'm still disputing my double charge for the stay as I pre-paid through Trip.com and after checkout the Hotel also charged me again for the same. If I haven't looked at my credit card statement this would have passed. Hotel staff are very laid back, not willing to resolve the issue and have offered no apologies for the mistake, as if they don't care. Sorry, will never step into this hotel again as I don't trust them !

I'm going to write our issues with this hotel in the form of a list to avoid ranting about my negative experience: 1. The ”pool” that the place advertised was closed our entire time there. We peeked into the pool and it was a green swamp. 2. The ”on-site laundry” was a filthy, disgusting, bug-infested, cob-webbed facility that my even husband refused to use. 3. When we asked about the continental breakfast the hotel advertises online and on the billboard as you come in, they said, ”oh, we don't do that anymore.” 4. Our trash cans were not lined when we came in. The receptionist said ”we don't line the trash cans.” I went out to buy liners at the HEB (and considered buying cleaning supplies too, the place was so gross). The next day, the cleaning lady lined our trash bags. So the receptionist lied because she was too lazy to fix the issue?? 5. We were told that cleaning services would come between 9-11. Often didn't come til 3 pm. 6. They took our ”do not disturb/ cleaning requested” door hanging cards and did not replace them. Made me super nervous about relaxing with my husband because I never knew when they would knock at the door. 7. There was something on the ceiling over the shower/tub that looked suspiciously like mold. There was also a lot of dirt on the walls. 8. Their shower had awful water pressure and spewed water all over the place. Also never got hot. Made showers unbearable. 9. LAYERS of dirt on surfaces. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. 10. When we arrived, the ice box was filled was trash and smelled awful. We requested it be replaced. The receptionist came by and took it without replacing it. We requested a new one from cleaning services and it was eventually replaced. 11. We realized the phone doesn't work when we attempted to call the front desk. Also blinks an annoying red light. 12. One of the legs on the mini fridge was broken, making it difficult to open and close. Also there was a pool of water at the bottom of the fridge. 13. The door stop came off the wall anytime my husband touched it. 14. You could see a collection of dirt/bugs inside of the light fixture. 15. My husband was not initially provided with a wifi password and had to go in person to ask for one. It was not found anywhere in the room and he could not call because the phone didn't work. 16. The outlet by the bed was controlled by a light switch on the wall. When you turned off the light switch, you turned off not only the lights, but the power outlet next to the bed. So you couldn't charge anything by the bed at night. We later inspected the lights and found that they previously had separate switches on them, but they had been broken and never replaces. 17. Our comforter had two holes int it. 18. On our way out, while inspecting the room for left behind items, we discovered a cigaret bud (in an apparently non-smoking hotel) on the floor, as well as a popcorn kernel. Overall, I was really disappointed. I've stayed at a bunch of budg
