0.36km from Thor GranliReasonably good hotel. More in tune with a younger customer. Rooms are basic(UK standard would be a Premier Inn). Breakfast is pretty impressive and the area location is good. Good food n drink hall next door. Staff are very helpful.... excellent. Reminder for non Nordics flying in to main airport.....avoid taxis at all cost. 30km cost us 1500 krona! Generally around £5 per mile!!!!!!

0.39km from Thor GranliWe stayed just for one night and everything went fantastic. Two ladies in the front desk welcomed us with a huge smile and proceed to do the check-in. We got two double room, one of them was nicer than the other, but it was all clean and you'll find everything you need. They don't have parking, but you can park in a parking lot just next to the hotel (that was quite expensive though... 270NOK per 24h). The location is great. There are universities around so it's kind of a young atmosphere but really quiet. It took us about 30min walking to get to the center of Oslo through nice streets and spots nearby. To be honest I was kind of afraid about the breakfast (I'm vegetarian) but I got shocked when I saw what they have: plenty of raw nuts, all kind of milk, cereals, muesli, fruits, bread and wasa,.... It was a shame to stay just for a night.... next time we come back to Oslo, we will definitely choose them again!

1.03km from Thor GranliLocation is the best thing about this. Check-in was self-serve at a small terminal that also creates your room key. Without staff, check-in is impersonal. Only one of two lifts worked during our stay, and it was very persnickety about keying for the designated floor with multiple guests in the small lift. Seems every time we (or someone else) used the lift it would skip our floor in favor of the other party. Our room was small, barebones, and very dimly lit. The bed was relatively comfortable but was placed too close to the wall, making it difficult for a second person to enter the bed from the other side. The bed was comfortable enough and had all non-feather bedding, which is great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately, there were no power outlets whatsoever near the bed--terrible for those needing to charge phones and devices at bedside! A simple power hub on the shelf above the bed would resolve this issue. The room had no minifridge and no coffeemaker. The bathroom was a good size and well-lit, but there was little counter space. The shower (only) had some mold in the tile grout; housekeeping needs to give that a good scrubbing. The shower water pressure was great and the hot water stayed hot. There was a wall-mounted hairdryer. The free WiFi was strong but was not password protected (boo!). Though the location was good, I'd be inclined to look elsewhere the next time I'm in the area.
1.03km from Thor GranliWe, two adults and two youngsters, stayed in this hotel for three nights, room 339. The hotel room was very large, actually a suite, and there was really a lot of space for the whole family. There was also enough space in the toilet to organize one’s things there. The cleaning had been done very well, and we are picky about that. The sound insulation was very good. The shower worked well. The main bedroom had a nice view down to the lobby. The service was good and the receptionists were helpful. The location was nice close to the center and there were many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. However, the hotel was not exactly in the center and thus we found the hotel area very peaceful in the evening, which was nice. The room was also very peaceful in the evening. There was a covered parking garage reserved for hotel guests right under the hotel – very convenient. The breakfast in the hotel was quite nice with a lot of variety. If going to Oslo next time, we would definitely consider this hotel again. We also found Oslo to be a very attractive city overall.
1.07km from Thor GranliThe hotel is extremely funny. We arrived at the hotel around 11.50 in the evening. Because of the car, we went to the hotel and asked where the parking lot was. The hotel description clearly stated that there was a parking lot. He said that let us park the road and give the money directly. We went. The total price of 295, one night, may be due to immediately 12 o'clock, paying two credit cards failed, go to the front desk, and then. . . He took us to the hotel's parking lot, 250 at night, and there was a sign at the front desk, clearly describing the hotel parking lot, 250 nights, which made me very upset, obviously the hotel parking lot did not let us stop, let us Spend more money on the roadside? ? ? What is this operation?
1.13km from Thor GranliI stayed here for about a week in December for a work trip. The property has a convenient location for mass transit, food and shopping. The room was a little dated, but the bed was comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised by the heated floor in the bathroom. The bedroom floor is hardwood so everything has a tendency to slide around. I had a quiet (interior facing room) on the top floor of the property. While my room was right against the elevator I never heard it running. I was a little surprised that there was no iron in the room, but that there was an ironing room on the 5th floor. It was not a big deal and probably helped keep my room from feeling cluttered. The room had a large TV and a desk for working at -the lighting at the desk was not as bright as I would've liked. Breakfast in the morning was a great spread. The hotel is also very close to two 7-11's and when returning late at night it was convenient for a bottle of water.
1.21km from Thor GranliWe Oslo Apartments for three nights in late June 2018. The apartment we had was on the ground floor and was accessed from the carpark behind the apartments. (Apartment 111) The apartment had: 1. two good sized bedrooms (both with windows opening on to the street outside), 2. big kitchen (with all cooking and eating requirements (plates, cutlery, etc), coffee making facilities and small refrigerator. 3. large lounge room with TV with relaxing lounge and coffee table 4. reasonable sized bathroom with washing machine and 5. good storage areas. with ironing board and iron 6. Parking area ($) All up a good apartment for the three people we had in our party. That said, the rooms could do with a clean and a paint to pick it up. Note that the pick up place for keys is not in no. 1 Wergelandsveien but is in Holsberg Gate (opposite the convenience store which is in the Radisson Blu building). It took us an hour to find this!!!!! Why couldn't they get this right in the email??????
1.22km from Thor GranliIn beginning of August 2020 the upper floors of the hotel underwent some renovation/maintenance, which was audible from 9am. Therefore the hallway was protected with plastic and entrance to our room was smeared with white footprints. The carpet in our room 2206 was stained and also old and dirty - would need to be replaced; heel/sauna sleepers would be nice to keep feet and socks clean from the dirty carpet. Breakfast was a total disappointment - don't blame it on Covid-19 because hotels of the Nordic Choice chain (e.g. Quality Hotel) had a lot more options to choose from for breakfast and in the same period. Was a big big disappointment that a 4-star Radisson Blue hotel was bel to offer just scrambled eggs and not also fried eggs for breakfast. Everything cold was in small jars which was unnecessary in my opinion. Breakfast was not 4-star but 2,5-star at the best. The pool is like from a horror movie.
1.22km from Thor GranliFirst of all great service! I requested a tub wich I got, but also an upgrade of the room! Very pleasant and kind receptionist. Room was spacy. Might be a little bit tired and old, but bed was comfy and room was clean. Was a little disappointed with the afternoon sweets as I thought there would be more types of coffee to choose from and it was just one type of cake. But evening meal and breakfast was great and tasty! Still missed a coffee machine with several options at breakfast though, but that's just to be picking on something. All in all nice experience and good location. Might be noisy if you have a room facing the streets because of the traffic and trams passing by, but that didn't bother me.
1.24km from Thor GranliMinus: Tiny bathroom even though it was a Superior room (had a balcony/terrace). Also when we were there in January, there was a lot of dead flies in the ceiling lamp. Plus: Got an upgraded room since I'm a Thon Hotels member. Separate bedroom and living room, two TVs and a large terrace with a view of the City Hall and the Castle. Nespresso coffee machine in the room, and in the lobby as well. Daily refills of Molton Brown soap in the room. Very good breakfast with a waiter who served us coffee and hot chocolate. And the smoothie they had was out of this world for me, could literally just drink that for my breakfast. The location is pretty quiet too, yet in the middle of the city. In general service-minded people, and everything is wrapped up in Thon's refurbished style. We are actually going back here this week for 5 days, so we are excited! The restaurant, Cafe Europa had good food for a low price comparing how high the prices are around Oslo.
1.24km from Thor GranliWe booked the suite at this hotel and it was very nice indeed with a comfortable bedroom and a lovely spacious living area. I loved the colourful furniture and wallpaper, so nice to get away from boring neutrals. The lounge on the 8th floor is always open and has a good coffee machine. There was also a Nespresso machine in the room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, but the tables are very close together, a bit too close and it can be very busy. On one morning, we actually had to wait for someone to leave before we could get a table. The evening supper is a bit ordinary. We prefer to eat out, so only tried it once but it is only soup and some salad and a few other bits and pieces, a bit disappointing really. We saw much better in other places we stayed. So overall, a very good hotel, comfortable and well located, but not a favourite. It feels a bit more corporate then a cosy spot for leisure travellers.

I booked this hotel for a night but stayed for two nights cos we were not able to go to Tromso as we came from UK and were not allowed to tour unless we had ten days quarantine. We were lucky to book at this hotel cos the receptionists were very helpful and accommodating (especially Matilda). We were on quarantine but did not feel the pressure. We enjoyed our time inside the room with food and drink served/delivered right at the door. Breakfast was so appetising and it took us til lunch to finish. We inly had to order supper thru Foodora.no app. The room on 9th floor was so clean with lovely (smell) toiletries and plenty of towels. The corridor is clean and quiet. We had a restful night. I recommend this hotel if you come to Oslo, 30-34 mins from Oslo airport. Plenty of shops around and a bar at 34th floor of the hotel. They also have plenty of elevators A to H that is operated by the key card so it is safe. The pool and fitness gym are closed due to Covid and in general, this hotel looks safe from Covid with its hight tech sanitising spray on all corners. We’d love to stay again here if ever we get a chance to come back to Oslo.

My wife treated me to 3 nights here in December and it was fantastic. Check in easy. There’s coffee and tea in the reception and sometimes a plate of biscuits. There is a separate locked room to store luggage until check in. And then this can also be used at check out. The apartments are huge with everything you need, a mini kitchen, tv, sofa, dining table and large bed. The bathroom has a heated floor which was great. The location is pretty good with a few restaurants nearly. And less than 10 minutes to walk to the tram/bus station at Solli where it is then fairly easy to get around the city. Too be honest it’s not too far to walk into the centre either which we did several times. One thing to remember is that unless you pay extra there are no cleaners during your stay. This didn’t bother us as we wouldn’t change bedding and towels daily at home. On our last morning we followed the guidelines to take our own rubbish and recycling to the bins in the basement area before checking out. A wonderful apartment which we would definitely recommend and revisit should we come back to Oslo.

Oslo Central Railway Station is on the edge of the hotel, but you have to pick out the exit. In fact, you don't have to export. You can go straight through the mall. It is very convenient. It is convenient to take the train. Walking to various attractions, going to the statue park, we are also walking, this city has a lot of rain, with rain gear. Breakfast is very windy, eat well, fruits and vegetables, continental breakfast. The front desk is welcoming and will meet each other every day. The size of the room is ok, and the entrance to the train station can be seen from the window.

Second stay here, 4 stars last time, definately 5 stars this time. Love the 7th floor, some may say it's a bit noisy here but I love hearing the trams late into the night and early morning also you could just hear the metro but the view from the 7th floor is great day and night! All staff are fantastic, the room is kept clean, this was my only complaint last visit was room service missed me, but not this time, perfect :-) There is a huge choice of hotels in Oslo, but if it feels right don't fix, I go back to the same place, see you again very soon I hope Scandic Grensen!

Liked · Location was excellent, 10 minutes walk from station or 2 stops on the tram. Very central so shops, restaurants, marina were all within a short walk. Public transport within 2 mins. Room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, maybe extra pillows would have been nice. We had a 7th floor room with balcony. Double glazing was good and completely shut out any road noise. Shower was good and nice big fluffy towels. The room was equipped with Nespresso machine, kettle, iron and ironing board (pop up), hairdryer, safe and slippers. Breakfast was a good selection with bacon rolls, a waffle machine, noodles, hot and cold choices and lots of fish and fruits, and also pastries. Everyone should be able to find something. Staff were very friendly. Bar prices in line with Oslo standards. Will definitely stay again as I hope to return when the weather is warmer.
