Takamatsu
|0.47km from city centerThe hotel rooms are small in general Japanese standards, but the bathroom and toilet areas are designed independently. Unlike the well-known Toyoko Inn hotels, you can take a shower without worrying about spraying the toilet, or avoid standing in the bathtub to take a shower of embarrassment.
The breakfast area on the first floor is open to guests during non-breakfast hours. There are all kinds of cold and hot drinks available for unlimited enjoyment. There is also an oven and microwave to simply heat food by yourself, which is quite considerate.
Although there are not many types of breakfast, it has everything you need. There is also udon, a specialty of the Kagawa area, which is very delicious... I feel like I no longer have to go out and spend money to eat authentic udon. The bread is also a must-have, which is very suitable for me, who loves bread. Some other ingredients will be slightly updated. We have eaten breakfast for 7 days and still don't get tired of it, which is very commendable.
The service staff has a good attitude. Their very detailed and cordial greetings make people feel comfortable. They can also communicate in English.
All in all, I think this is an accommodation choice with high CP value.

|0.91km from city centerThe hotel is right opposite Takamatsu Station and you can see it when you exit the station or get off the highway bus. The hotel has two buildings. Check-in is in Building 1. There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, so check-in is very convenient.
The single rooms in the hotel are relatively spacious and clean. If you choose not to clean them, there will be a basket with replacement items at the door the next day. There is coffee and other drinks for self-service on the first floor.
There are many restaurants and convenience stores around, and there is a large shopping mall next to Takamatsu Station, but please pay attention to the restaurant's business hours. It is very close to Takamatsu Port and Tamamo Park. If you get up early, you can go to the beach. If you want to go to Shodoshima and other islands, it is very convenient to stay in this hotel. There is a bus hub in front of Takamatsu Station, and there are many transportation options.

|0.33km from city centerThe second time I stayed here, the service was very good.
The front desk staff are very nice.
The child spilled the juice on the floor, and the two receptionists knelt down to help us mop the floor clean.
The location is great, you can walk to various places to eat and buy.
It is recommended to stay here when visiting Takamatsu City.

|0.41km from city centerIt happened to be a Japanese holiday, and a room that usually costs 300 was sold to more than 1,000.
But fortunately, the location is good, you can walk to Takamatsu Station.
There is a Lawson convenience store downstairs. The hotel is on Central Avenue, opposite the bustling commercial street. A little further ahead is the Mitsukoshi Department Store, which is very convenient for eating and shopping.
The skin care products are provided with DHC and can be taken freely in the lobby. This is a bit domineering, but it is also a bit puzzling that such a famous hotel chain does not provide shower caps. . .

|0.6km from city centerIn fact, the hotel's facilities are very good and the rooms are very clean. However, the only drawback is that because it is an unmanned hotel, it is not friendly to foreigners. There is no password to enter when checking in, and we cannot make calls. Fortunately, there are guests. When we came in and out, we were able to enter the hotel. The computer crashed a bit, and the check-out machine also crashed. We had to put in the key and leave.

|0.84km from city centerThe location is good, there is a supermarket opposite, next to the lively pedestrian street, 3 minutes walk from the small train. There is a famous noodle restaurant next to it. It is one of the 100 famous restaurants in Japan. The taste is very good and the price is affordable. You can try it.
The hotel’s Japanese-style rooms are spacious, but the equipment is old. The hot springs only have a small pool. When I went to live on weekends, I met many young Japanese people who might be engaged in activities. They were noisy until one or two in the evening, and they were still shouting at parties Call, seriously affect the quality of sleep. It is estimated that it is a good choice if it is not so noisy.

Takamatsu
|0.51km from city centerThis is a hotel with a relatively traditional British design, and it is also the one with the lowest rating since I stayed in various hotels in Kansai for more than ten days. There is no problem with its hardware, but the service is very poor. Because parking needs to be entered at the back door, you have to get off There are several stairs and a long corridor. I don’t know how to do it when I first arrived. The manager also stood aside after we unloaded the luggage. He didn’t come to help and show us how to enter the hotel until we asked for help. The waiter is also very traditional. The service attitude (arrogant) is completely out of date, especially the male staff, there is no enthusiasm at all. Unfortunately, we lost a door card, and other hotels generally do not need to return it. It is worth 1300yen here!

|0.51km from city centerAccommodation is a small gift, female friends like it, soaking up too little time (because there is only one room, exchange between boys and girls), and the space is very small, making people breathe and change oxygen a little tired. The room space is also very small, two people's luggage is opened, almost full of aisles; Breakfast is rich, semi-self-service, things have to be cleaned by yourself. But it is very close to the station and it is very convenient to take the bus.

|0.52km from city centerThe staff was kind and polite. The bed, shower, washbasin and toilet are clean. The washing machine and dryer felt a little old, but it was not functionally problematic. Even after checking out, you can leave your luggage until 22 o'clock, so you can sightsee in a light state. The location is very good, within walking distance of tile town station, and the shopping street is close, so it is not troublesome for food. You can get a map of the surrounding area with the recommended shops.Among the shopping streets, there are many fashionable shops such as ”Machinoshore 963” in the area that will be relatively newly developed. You can also walk to Takamatsu Station. There are two points that I was a little worried about. One is that there is no shelf that can put a smartphone in the bed space. There is a gap between the mattress and the bed frame, so you can put things there. I thought it would be better if there was a shelf that could put small things. The other one is quite fine, but the key holder corner of the locker key is pointed and painful... I was a little scared... There was a little concern, but I think it is perfect for sightseeing bases because it is clean and comfortable and the location is good.

Takamatsu
|2.03km from city centerThis hotel is the biggest surprise of the trip to Japan's four islands!
Let me talk about the only bad place first. The hotel is halfway up the mountain. There is no public transportation nearby. It is not easy to walk from the city. If you live for a few days, it is not convenient to go to Takamatsu City. If you stay for one night, it is particularly convenient. Ctrip did not write, but the hotel actually provides a free shuttle bus at Takamatsu Station on the day of check-in. You need to call the front desk more than one hour in advance to pick up and drop off at the hour. It can be from 3 pm to 7 pm; Checkin can take you back to Takamatsu Station at about 9 or 10 the next morning.
And the good places:
1. This time, the cheapest room is set, but it is not small in Japan, and the bed is particularly comfortable. It is in the form of a suite. The photos given by the hotel do not reflect the advantages at all; next time you must experience the superior room;
2. The scenery of the big bath is very good at night, the night view of Takamatsu is panoramic, the hot spring is also good, and the skin is slippery after soaking;
3. Open-air balcony coffee juice popsicles are provided free of charge, and there is foot soup to soak;
4. If you bring children and like trains, the downstairs is the Takamatsu vehicle section, which is absolutely cool;
5. The price is also very affordable. When I stayed, it was more than 100 more expensive than the budget hotel in the city. It was definitely worth the fare!

|21.46km from city centerSanuki Onsen is a hotel located in Yasuhara Kamihigashi, Shionoe-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. This time, the grandmother made full use of various discounts, and the two-person suite room with two meals dinner was 9,900 yen in the room! I stayed at a bargain price. On August 5th, 2022, I walked through Sanuki Kodomo no Kuni. From there, we drove to Sanuki Onsen. About 30 cars can be parked under the building and on the ground. The catchphrase is “Takamatsu no Okuzashiki”. The lobby looks like this. The large public bath is accessed from the first floor by a connecting passageway. You can take a bath until 10:30 at night and from 6:00 in the morning. Bring towels from your room. Since this day is a room on the 4th floor, I will move by elevator. When you enter the entrance, you will find yourself in a Japanese-style room. The scenery from the window is like this. The Kabagawa Dam rises in front of you. The bedroom is next door. A table is set in the next room. refrigerator. The toilet has a warm water seat. closet. Wash basin. I'm going to the public bath, so I probably won't use it, but there's a bathtub, and it seems that hot springs will come out. It's a former condominium converted into a three-room suite. Even before coming here, I saw several such resort apartments. Wi-Fi is about 10 Mbps, so it's enough. There was no slowdown during peak hours. The hot spring here is Toro Toro, it was my favorite hot spring in Shikoku. However, it is far to move about 30 meters from the main building to the hot spring building. From there, you have to go down the stairs to get to the public bath. The first open-air bath is nearby. However, to get to the second open-air bath, you have to walk another 50 meters along the connecting corridor. However, the second open-air bath was right next to the river and was very nice. It was inconvenient that there was no outlet near the bed. Dinner is served in the room. Sashimi and dessert. The main dish is tempura. Then came the duck pot. First of all, toast with draft beer and lemon chuhai. This time the meal was the cheapest course, but this is enough for my grandfather and grandmother. The next morning, I took a walk to Kabagawa Dam. After returning from a walk and sweating in the hot springs, it's time for breakfast. The breakfast venue is the restaurant on the first floor. It's a standard menu of Japanese food, mainly grilled fish that went too far (sweat;). After eating, we drove on. |0.72km from city centerThe hotel is 300 meters in front of Takamatsu JR Station. You can see it when you exit the station. The transportation is convenient and travel is convenient. The decoration facilities of the hotel are from the 1980s to the 1990s and are relatively old, so there is no access card and a key switch is required. But it is relatively hygienic and decent. The front desk service is more blunt than other hotels, not very welcoming.
The hotel can provide bicycle rental services. The hotel has 3 bicycles, numbered 1-3.
The hotel's razors, shaving foam, combs, cotton swabs, and bath towels are placed at the elevator entrance and can be picked up by themselves.
The hotel must be forced out of the hotel before 12 o'clock every day. You can't live in the hotel. You can come back at 16 o'clock. During this period, the key must be handed over to the front desk. (Friends who stay continuously must be cautious)
The hotel is cleaned only once in 3 days. The beds and toilets are not cleaned. (If you have high requirements for cleanliness, please think twice). But the garbage is dumped once a day, and the towels are changed once a day.

|0.99km from city centerThis was my fourth stay at the JR Clement, and I keep going back because it's always a good experience staying there! This time I booked a more spacious room, the deluxe double, which had a great view across the city to the mountains from both the bedroom and the bathroom, with the sea and cute island of Ozuchishima visible to the right. In the past, I've had lovely views of the port and castle from smaller rooms. I think all the rooms have views of some sort. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean and well-maintained. It was nice to have a larger space with a bigger desk, plus a small table and easy chairs by the window. There was a generous daily allocation of toiletries (in packets rather than bottles which was good) - loved the lavender bubble bath, and the Olive Energy products were excellent. The hotel provides a daily newspaper as well. The staff are always knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. I didn't eat in the restaurants (I think there are three), but don't miss the delicious cakes and pastries from the in-house bakery! The location is perfect, at Takamatsu Port two minutes from the JR Station, and across the road from Takamatsu Castle/Tamamo Park and Takamatsu-chikko Station. There is also a busy bus hub (including for airport buses) and taxi rank. Many shops and eateries close by. It's lovely to walk by the sea without having to travel to do it. Great sunsets! From the port you can catch ferries or fast boats to Naoshima, the other the art islands and Shodoshima. It's about a 2km walk to my favourite garden, Ritsurin Koen, or you can catch a train from Takamatsu-chikko. Already re-booked for this year!

|1.68km from city centerAbsolutely go ahead and BOOK this gem in Takamatsu as it’s an enormous blessing to find!! Minutes on foot from a train station (Hanazono, which accepts SuiCA FYI) and many great eats, and not only is the WakabaYa website (read it!!) an excellent resource for the different things to do/eat in Takamatsu/Shikoku, but as an extremely experienced traveller the proprietor of WakabaYa, Takeshi-san, has designed the perfect guest house. The house is perfectly clean, the rooms are sunny and delightful, the futons extremely comfortable, the kitchen well-furnished and the washing machine a life saver (and there are clotheslines in the room themselves), and any concerns you may have about a shared bathroom (I know I did due to bad memories from university) should immediately be banished - Takeshi-san offers a free flow of freshly-laundered towels and takes great care that the shower, baths and toilets were pristine (and as a guest I made sure to leave everything in the same way). And a final shout out to Takeshi-san and his beautiful family, who was always ready on hand to respond to any worries, queries and questions I may have. I can happily say that I had a wonderful healing time in Takeshi-san’s lovely guest house and I’m already planning when to return to my new home in Takamatsu :)

|2.49km from city centerIt is a formal hotel that can stay at a reasonable price, although it is a little far from the station. Because I used it on a trip to sanuki Udon, it was good to be able to access the famous shop where the procession can be made in taga town on foot (20 minutes) after the first walk in the morning. Other than that, the parking lot was 24 free time access, so it was convenient. The room used a standard twin. |1.11km from city centerBecause I went to Takamatsu during the peak tourist season, I couldn't book the same hotel with my friend. I don't know Japanese, and my English is not very good. I live here alone, so I was a little worried at first. But the staff were very patient and I want to say thank you to them. The service provided by the hotel is very meticulous. The lobby provides various materials (covering transportation, attractions, food), irons, lotions, pajamas and other practical items. The front desk can easily borrow chargers and umbrellas (300 yen is enough) Take away), free drinks and curry rice (simple and delicious) at night, and local specialty Sanuki udon noodles for 250 yen.
The hotel is quite big, with a parking lot, it is an old-fashioned hotel. The room felt better than it looked in the pictures, it was small but well equipped and clean. It is a key room, and I need to hand over the key to the front desk when I go out. I was not very used to this at first.
The location is near Kataharacho Station, the black building is more obvious, easy to find. There are many restaurants at Kataharacho Station, the food is not expensive, and it is more convenient to go from the hotel to the port. The hotel seems to have a direct bus to the airport.
The pictures on the phone are only for dinner. All in all a good stay experience.

The shoe box at the entrance of the dressing room is small, so large shoes may have trouble storing. There is a free coin locker with a key in the dressing room, so you can rest assured that you can take a day trip bath. There are indoor baths and open-air baths. I have the impression that the open-air bath had a strong chlorine odor. The indoor bath did not smell so much chlorine. There is also a free hair dryer. It is also close to Takamatsu Airport, so it is recommended to use it before flight. Parking is also free.
