I have stayed in a lot of Premier Inns lately and I don't think any of them can match this one for freindlyness. From Reception to Restaurant, they were all really lovely people and made me feel very welcome. A special mention to the restaurant staff who were super friendly and helpful. The food was very well cooked and lots of choice My room 423 was spotlessly clean, extra care had been taken, I was particularly impressed with the gleaming chrome and mirrors in the bathroom. The road was noisy, but this was only up until 11pm and I bought a set of earplugs, to solve the problem, but to be fair, I was warned, but I needed a walk-in shower. Bed very comfortable. Thank you very much Doncaster Premier Inn.

We had booked this room months earlier, long before the Covid 19 lock-down so we were happy to hear that hotels were allowed to open back up in time for our stay. Unfortunately nobody from the hotel was available to confirm if the room was still available. I tried contacting the hotel on numerous occasions in the week prior to our stay but all I got was voice mail or the rudeness of listening to somebody pick the phone up and then put it straight back down again. We decided to visit the hotel personally on the morning of our stay and the staff were there and only then did they acknowledge our attempts at trying to contact them. The receptionist had just sent an email to us as we were actually walking into the hotel. The first room we were given was not prepared, there were no pillow cases on the pillows, the TV did not work and the tea and coffee making facilities were not replenished and a cup was missing. We were moved into another room after we complained. The second room was very nice, a bit dated and every single floor board creaked as you walked over them but it was clean and tidy. The room was only set out for one but as we were only staying the one night that was not an issue. The staff were polite and efficient but they were probably the same staff as the ones who ignored our attempts at trying to contact the hotel so it was hard to warm to them. I received a phone call later during the day from somebody in the hotel apologising for his late return of the call due to the messaging system they used but informed me the room was available, I informed him I was in the room and had been checked in for about 4 hours. The communications between staff had caused the confusion. Maybe the lock-down had caused everyone to forget how to do the basics but what ever the reason was the communication from the hotel left a lot to be desired. I'm not sure I would rush back, There are better and more modern hotel around the town for similar or less money. We were left quite disappointed with the whole experience.

I came up for the St Leger race weekend and stayed at the Regent Serviced Suites. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the station. The owner Michael was very friendly and welcoming and the room was a good size with a nice en-suite with shower. Bed was comfy and the room quiet so slept very well. Everything was clean and well cared for. Michael was very helpful and able to point out things to do and places to go. 10 minute walk to the races so a great place for that. I think it is probably the best value pound-for-pound of any place I’ve stayed. Highly recommended

Freinds told us about this place we booked for one night to celebrate my husbands birthday. We stayed in a junior suite very nice. Fabulous place just love the Art Deco we were even given a look into the wonderful ballroom. all the staff are extremley friendly and helpful. The only downside to us was the food as it was a Sunday the only choice in the resteraunt was Sunday dinner which we thought was a bit prepacked/frozen the beef was very fatty amazingly there was only us in at 6.30 in the evening. At breakfast the bacon was rather leathery eggs and everything else were lovely. Will definatley visit againgreat value for money

Stayed over night on business last night, didn’t get to the hotel till late but was greeted by the friendly staff who had a nice quick chat with me to see how my day had been and asked about what I’d been doing for the day as I’d been explaining my job. I was absolutely knackered so was rather happy to be at the hotel. As soon as I walked in to my hotel room, I was greeted with a real decent sized room and bathroom, which I was not expecting! The room was clean and nicely arranged , and had a lot of amenities for the price that was paid for the room! Would have liked to have stayed longer but unfortunately I was only able to stay for 8 hours sleep. Wish I was able to try the breakfast this morning however I had to be back on the road before breakfast was served, I did however have a quick look over the menu that was in my room last night to see what sort of food they had to offer and there was a real good selection to cater for everybody! Thanks again to the lovely staff at the Grand St Ledger, and hopefully I will be back soon once I’m passing that way again on a job!

We stayed Saturday night and will definitely be back. The hotel is bright, modern and the staff were fantastic. Our room was on the 2nd floor and very well set out. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had everything you would need, a powerful hairdryer, lovely toiletries, tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We both had a full English, which was cooked to perfection. Eating breakfast overlooking the racecourse was wonderful. A big thank you to the cleaning staff - they worked so hard during our stay, the hotel was spotless and the cleaning staff were constantly cleaning and sanitising all high-traffic areas. Can't wait until better times when we can go and really take advantage of the superb bar/coffee area and hopefully sit outside and enjoy the races again.

My sister and I stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was very clean and comfortable and good measures were in place for social distancing, wearing masks etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's ideally located to walk to the Lakeside shopping centre outlet- a 10 minute walk around the lake. I've read the reviews about the rooms being hot. May I suggest asking for a room in the older part of the hotel, it's the new extension that is like being in an oven. The older part is fine. I've never had any problems with those rooms and I've stayed quite a few times now. I would definitely stay again.

Staying at Premier Inn Doncaster Lakeside, you'll be right next to Lakeside Village Outlet, a short drive from the town centre and close to Keepmoat Stadium - perfect for Doncaster Rovers fans. If you're visiting Doncaster for work, then our Doncaster Lakeside hotel is well connected to main roads, and about a mile from the train station. Or if you've been to Doncaster Racecourse, what better way to end a winning day than with dinner at our on-site Beefeater restaurant, and some relaxation in one of our new generation bedrooms, each featuring an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly updated bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed.

Stayed at this hotel overnight on our way up to Scotland and booked a family room for myself, my partner and my son. We arrived around 9:30pm and checked in with a lovely lady behind the bar of the pub right opposite. The room was really clean, comfy beds, flat screen telly. Nice little touches such as the glasses, bottles of water, little packets of biscuits (which my son demolished as soon as we got there). The bathroom was amazing! Powerful shower which seemed to be set to the perfect temperature. Also, every item I was rummaging around for in the pitch black boot of the car, seemed to be in the hotel room already. Fluffy towels, hairdryer, hand soap and shower gel were already provided which I thought was cute. Could really do with a rubbish bin and maybe something to put cigarette butts in outside the front. I nipped out for a smoke and there was a plant pot full of empty beer bottles? Had breakfast in the hotel pub which was reasonably priced. £15 for 3 of us to have a cooked breakfast, kids under 12 eat free and incudes unlimited continental breakfast items and juices. Drinks prices are high! Pint of lager £4.50 and double vodka and coke £6. Ouch, we didn't have many haha. Everything you could possibly need is on the doorstep of the hotel, Aldi, B&M, Macca's, Petrol Station etc. Great value for money and would definitely recommend.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It’s handy being just of the M18 and close to the M1 making it a great location to cover that part of the country from. Staff have always been friendly and the hotel always clean and well presented. The rooms are exactly what you would expect from HI Express and again are always clean. The hotel has a bar and offers a limited evening meal menu. Anytime I’ve eaten the food has always been of a good standard and reasonably priced. Breakfast is included and is a range of hot and cold buffet. There is a restaurant next door if you fancy a wider choice of meals. The hotel is within walking distance of the football stadium and shopping outlet centre - although it’s a good walk. Overall - ideal if you are looking to stop in this area.
