This is our third visit to this location and can truthfully say, it is a good value for the dollar. Don't expect frills and over-the-top amenities, but, the place has been remodeled and upgraded and it's a quality place to hang your hat. They've done away with the pool and replaced it with a lovely sitting area, which includes a barbeque pit that all are welcome to use....great idea! Also, room had a microwave and small refrigerator. If you're looking for just the basics, this motel will get the job done.

Had to stop over for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. WiFi signal was no good so we had to use our own. Otherwise everything else was very good! Also, we didn’t eat the breakfast there so can’t review that.

On Thursday, April 5, 2018, our family stayed at the Palace Inn in Brenham, Texas, for one night. We had three rooms, one of which was a suite. We had chosen the Palace Inn because it had suites with a bedroom separated from a living area by a wall with a door in it which could be used to close off the bedroom. At check-in that afternoon, one of the rooms had an odor which was intolerable. So, our daughter + child moved into the room of our son + child. The lady at the front desk agreed that we would not be charged for the room which was not being occupied. Also at check-in, the television in the bedroom of the suite my wife and I were in did not work. We reported this to the front desk and a lady said that they would look into it. Upon our return after dinner, the TV still did not work. We called the problem in again and the lady at the front desk said that she would contact the owner for instruction on how to proceed. I volunteered to hold on the line while she did that; but she hung up on me. I then went to the front desk in person. The lady said that the owner had approved moving my wife and me into a suite like the one we were in. However, when she led me to the new suite, it had a terrible odor. I remarked that it smelled like a chemical; but the lady said it smelled like mold to her. We agreed that this second room would not do. We left without ever trying to see if the TVs in this suite worked. We returned to the front desk where the lady again called the owner for guidance. He had advised her to offer us another room near the one we were still in. As she was leading me to this third option, I asked whether it would be a suite like the one we had reserved and paid for. She said that it was. Yet when we got there, it turned out to be a single room. It only took one look to see this, so I rejected this third option without either of us checking the TV. On our way back to the front desk, I asked the lady if she had known that the third room was not in fact a suite at the time that she had stated that it was. She denied any such knowledge. Back at the front desk again, the lady called the owner; and he told her to take me to a fourth room to see if it would suffice. Before we left the front desk I asked the lady if we could examine the diagram of the property and its accommodations to see for sure if this fourth option was indeed a suite. [I knew there was such a diagram because it had been shown to me when we had first arrived that afternoon.] The lady refused to do this and (again) assured me that the fourth room that we were going to see was indeed like the one we were in. It wasn’t. It was … again … a single room. As before, there was no reason to check to see if the TV in this room worked: We just turned around and headed back to the front desk. Again I asked her if she had known when she was telling me this room was the same as what we had paid for that her statement was inaccurat

Nice safe location, but a little inconvenient to get to . Tucked behind restaurants and businesses. Lots of breakfast choices, the smoothies were yummy and a nice touch. Great Service! Light sleeper, room noisey next to laundry and stairs, so sleep lacking. Priced about 30% higher compared to other hotels in area. Suggestion to staff - have water available especially at breakfast.

Experience at the Brenham Baymont hotel was very good. Front desk staff was very helpful, room extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and set up well before 6:30AM. Plenty of parking available. Check out process was smooth and very easy. Room rate was extremely reasonable.

Hotel in the right area - beds comfortable - staff in office and lobby always cordial, easy access to highways, great parking, clean throughout. If we had to make a comment, the room cleaners were not thorough - twice I had to find the cleaning staff and replenish toilet paper - paper cups left on counter - coffee cups not cleaned and coffee maker not cleaned. Breakfast food good and wholesome - ample supply and staff checked it regularly when patrons in and out. We are Expedia Members and we be sure to advise them that this is a great hotel for most needs in the Brenham area

I stayed two nights while visiting my son in a local facility, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and fridge/freezer. A lot of hotel refrigerators are very small, with the freezer parts tiny and hardly really a freezer. This one is an actual freezer. Due to my sodium restrictions, I shouldn't eat out, and I brought my food for the trip. I was able to freeze my ice packs again for the 10 hour journey home, so my food stayed fresh. It wasn't fancy, but that isn't important to me. It was more than adequate for my needs and at a great price. I will be staying again the next time I visit my son.

It was my first time as this adorable property. Love that it is so close and had all the makings to transform you to another place in time. The breakfast was delicious and the attention to detail was delightful!! Steve and his staff were very pleasant and personable. We stayed in the Cottage House which was a great space!! My only concern was that it rained a bit while we were there and water began coming in through the front door area. I trust the owners will do what is necessary to resolve the drainage issue to preserve this space and keep future patrons safe from any mold harm. I definitely plan to stay here again!!
