This was my second trip to the Maldives (the first was in 2010 to Kuredu). Overall Outrigger was fantastic, and we are both very glad we chose to come here. The main reason we chose South Ari Atoll was for the increased proximity to whale sharks; the boat trip down to the sighting area was about 30-40 minutes. We were lucky enough to see one on the second trip, in keeping with their odds of about 50:50! The entire Coral watersports team was fantastic, plus having an onsite marine biologist is a really nice touch - she was very knowledgeable & accompanied us on a lot of the excursions; we learned a lot. All of the bar, restaurant, kitchen & cleaning/maintenance staff in general were outstanding and so polite and kind. In particular I would like to name drop Moosa who was our primary point of contact - he was great! He really made the holiday that little bit easier and more relaxing, nothing was too much trouble for him to sort. The Island was beautiful, the overwater pool villas were breathtaking with amazing sunsets. We had Villa 331 which was a Sunset Pool villa, more or less the furthest away from the shore - I would highly recommend it. You also get large shoals of fish, blacktip reef sharks, large fish, & stingrays swimming past the villas - you can also swim a little bit further out to the edge of the island which is the House Reef, where you can also see Turtles and Mantas (Plus white tip reef sharks & even saw one nurse shark). I usually go diving when I'm on holiday but the snorkelling here was so good I really didn't feel the need to. The trip was magical and I really can't fault the resort in any way. The only constructive feedback I would provide is that although the food was excellent & delicious overall, I felt that the quality of the meat in their beef burgers and steaks could be improved - the ribeye and sirloin was more fatty than you would expect, and the burgers were not as juicy as I'm used to back in the UK. Also, there is a bit of a deadzone between 10am-11am where you can't get any food or coffee (breakfast closes at 10am, Koffee & chill opens at 11am & lunch starts at 12pm). There were a couple of occasions where we had been out on early watersports excursions and arrived back around 10am and therefore had to wait an hour before being able to get any food/coffee. 9.5/10, amazing dream holiday and would absolutely not hesitate to come back again next year. Great job to all of the Outrigger team and I'm sure we will be back in the future.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Centara Grand Resort in the Maldives. The entire staff was amazing and incredibly kind throughout my stay. In particular, I must commend Nabeel for his outstanding service. His attentiveness and helpfulness truly set him apart, and he seemed like he should be the manager with his level of dedication. The Centara Grand Resort is a true paradise, and the exceptional staff, including Nabeel and Chanapha, made my stay even more memorable. I can't wait to return and experience their top-notch hospitality once again.

Nova Resort was chosen after much online research. It was our first visit to the Maldives and so this review contains no comparisons to previous Maldivian experiences. The headline summary is however, that after over 30 years of holidaying as a couple, this resort and holiday ranks as number one. From the moment we arrived, to when we left, we couldn’t find a fault with the staff or the facilities. A holiday in paradise where we were perfectly looked after. The number of guests that the complex accommodates is up to about 180. (There are more staff than guests). It means that it never felt busy. We were there in late February and didn’t get troubled by mosquitoes or other insects. Not sure whether that is a benefit of when we visited or is the norm. It is worth noting that the entire resort has undergone a renovation approximately 18 months ago and so none of the facilities are ‘tired’. Staff Without exception, every member of staff was pleasant, had a smile on their face and went out of their way to make sure that you were happy and well looked after. This included the ‘behind the scenes’ staff such as the maintenance and house keeping teams. Discussions with staff confirmed that Nova looks after their employees and that probably goes along way to them recruiting and retaining staff with the right attitude. Dining Most meals were taken at the ‘Soul Kitchen’ which was a buffet and self service. The food was varied with daily choices to suit all tastes. The buffet area where the food is collected is a separate air-conditioned room from the dining area. This ensured that the food was kept in a temperature controlled environment. The waiting staff were amazing - kept our drinks topped up, water glasses refilled and plates cleared as we finished each course. They worked hard, but importantly there were enough staff on duty all the time. We ate at ‘Flames’ on three occasions, where it is a fully-served ‘a la carte’. The quality of the food and the service was excellent, but not all dishes were included as part of the ‘all inclusive’ package. That felt a bit strange and maybe it would be better to give a financial ‘allowance’ to all-inclusive diners rather than a small discount off some dishes. As an example, you could have a 220g rib-eye steak as part of the package, but you have to pay for a 220g sirloin steak. We also paid extra for the ‘Fish BBQ on the beach’, which was excellent, but again felt that maybe more than a 15% discount as an all-inclusive guest would have been appropriate. Diving The diving experiences and the team at ‘Aquaholics’ were super. One of the most professional outfits that I have dived with. Whilst the corals in the area are badly bleached, the marine life is fantastically varied and plentiful. Successful trips were organised to snorkel with Whale Sharks and dive with Manta Rays. That coupled with the ‘normal’ sharks, napoleon wrasse, turtles etc etc made for a memorable week of dives. The dive crew knew their dive sites

Very good. My daughter and I both think this is the best hotel on this trip. The price-performance ratio is also very high. The food in the restaurant is very delicious. The only downside is that there is a waiter in the restaurant who has been courteous and does not want tips, but asks us to buy him a hookah. After we refused, he went to buy it himself and signed our room. When we checked out, we found this matter and communicated with the hotel. The hotel will refund the money to us.

Spend 7 wonderful days in Perla Dhanghetti and stayed absolutely happy about our vacation It is small cozy hotel full of plants, with nice parrot Oscar saying “hello” every time you come, in a quiet place, with beautiful clean new rooms equipped with everything you need: shower (includes shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels etc); comfortable beds, clean bedsheets; good AC, balcony, electric pot (tea/coffee, water refill everyday). Everyday cleaning. Special thanks to all the hotel staff! Everyone is very friendly, sincere and ready to help in any situation! We love all restaurant guys and grateful for tasty meals (we had breakfast and dinner), for the attentive attitude to guests who do not eat meat - guys always cooked something vegetarian/ seafood for us. We also took BBQ dinner at the beach and it was splendid: beautiful atmosphere, tasty quality food, and guys made a sand whale shark and let us put white spots on it - it was great experience and nice memories for all our group! After staying for six days, the decoration style is ok on the southeast side of the island, and the buffet is good. Apart from being almost on Sunday, there are 2 or 3 favorite dishes every day, especially sweet and sour pork and grilled meat. Prawns are good. But before you start, it ’s best to smell it. Many dishes are European butter flavor ... The coconut we drink seems to be the cheapest US $ 4, the others are US $ 5 or above. There should be no tipping for meals including service charges. I left 2 dollars when I left, and left a little room for cleaning. If you ask a lot on the island or need help, I will give you a point. Snorkeling is okay. Coral reefs are long but small in scale. The north of the island has strong winds and waves. Visibility is not good most of the time. South and west are better. There are many small sharks. There are no adult sharks. They also see stingrays, eels, and sea turtles. Our introduction to the island was from Danny from Hangzhou. If you have any problems in English, you can help her.
