The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It's also a historic hotel in Kandy, so it seems like a popular spot for Sri Lankans to take wedding photos, which I think makes for a good experience. It also appears to be a chosen accommodation for group tours organized by Japanese travel agencies. The breakfast offered a truly wide variety, and there was even a live kitchen where they made hoppers right in front of you. However, the hotel facilities seem quite old. In the room I stayed in, the button to switch from the faucet to the shower was partially broken, so no hot water came out of the shower. I probably could have asked the front desk to fix it, but since I was traveling alone and had already taken off my clothes, I found it too troublesome to deal with and just made do using a water bottle.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful location and I must say, it was a nice place with outstanding scenery. If you enjoy a mountainous vibe, this is definitely one of the best spots to visit. The food was quite good, and the garden was absolutely beautiful. I especially appreciated Mr. Yoga, who guided us through the gardens and provided excellent support. One thing to keep in mind is that there are no elevators (only stairs). We stayed on the third floor and while the view was lovely, we did encounter some mosquitoes inside the room.

Absolutely stunning, giant compound with an extensive history! They even offer a history walking tour but unfortunately there weren’t enough people signed up to make the tour happen. If you’re looking for a “colonial” stay, this is a great place. I recommend just walking around to see it for yourself. It’s also right on Kandy Lake, so it’s a nice walk (and not too far from the Kandyan Culture Center and the Sacred Tooth Temple Meals were good, but service sometimes is a little messy. Buffet was missing things like tongs or a cloth over the tray handles (which were hot to touch), but there’s a lot of servers walking around so I’m sure they’ll be able to do double-checks on this

The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together.

The only downside is that there is no elevator from the lobby to the first floor, so I had to carry my luggage up one floor before accessing the elevator to my room.

Great location, right by the lake and walking distance to the tooth relic temple. I did have a monkey rob me of my $100 bill and everything with a wrapper in my luggage. So make sure to keep all your doors and windows closed when you leave for the day. The WiFi was not strong on the top level so ask for a room on the lower floors. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was quite spacious. There were three of us, and they provided an extra bed. When I booked on Trip.com, I saw that the beds were listed as 1.3 meters, but they all turned out to be quite large – the double beds were mostly 1.8 meters, and the single beds were about 1 meter. This hotel is located on a hill, and we stayed on the second floor, which didn't have an elevator, but the staff helped with our luggage. Breakfast is available at the hotel. The staff confirmed our breakfast time the night before, and we could choose between local Sri Lankan breakfast and English breakfast. One of the local dishes was extremely spicy; I took one bite and started coughing non-stop. A young man saw this and immediately brought me a glass of water – the service was absolutely fantastic. The milk tea was delicious, sweet with a slight bitterness, a bit like Hong Kong's Yuanyang. Very good!

Decent clean stay, and good value for the money. Room was small and tidy, clean bathroom, quite nice modern style overall with apparent concrete wall finish ( cool if you ask me and unexpected ). Staff was friendly and helpful, only thing was that the room was direclty in front of the elevator and it was noisy. In the early morning there are monkeys on the balcony searching for food so better not leave the door open.

The only problem is that the curtains of the roller blinds are almost shaded. Chef is super good! ! ! Chef is super good! ! ! To be honest, the room is just like that. There is not much room for it. Kandy has a good choice for one to two nights. The chef is super, Md can't help but mention it! The pool is good, but it is too cold to get into the water.
