Hotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day. The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this. It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed. Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain

Its location near Kaohsiung's bustling Formosa Boulevard MRT station is excellent, with plenty of shops and businesses nearby, plus a large grocery store just across the street. The hotel's service truly felt five-star. While there isn't a grand lobby, the practical amenities, like the outdoor swimming pool, were fantastic. The breakfast was also great, and they even had ice cream!

The room isn't big but it's very clean, and it's quiet despite being close to the night market. Transportation is convenient, only a 3-minute walk to the MRT station. The area around the hotel is lively at night with plenty of places to eat, and you'll see a lot of Western travelers. It's not far to the pier to catch a boat to Cijin, or to walk to Sizihwan, but it was just too hot!

We enjoyed our stay and were honoured to be invited by the hotel to celebrate the New Year Eve Party with a complimentary dinner at the Wok Restaurant on Level 2 and a count down and welcome 2026 party with free flow drinks at the Rooftop Bar. We watched the fireworks at the stroke of midnight from the Bar with great music, beautiful view and lovely guests! It was a fantastic end to 2025 and the memories will stay in us forever! Thank you Hotel Indigo Kaoshiung for the wonderful and memorable stay. Everything from the hotel staff to the room amenities were top notch! We will certainly recommend your hotel and will definitely stay here when we visit Kaoshiung again.

It’s a four star hotel that feels like some five star hotels do. It’s a bit pricey but what your get in return is excellent service (valets opening doors for you, everyone saying hello and asking if you need anything), cosy rooms (ours had a bathtub and Japanese toilet), free snacks, coffee and beer at the lounge, alright cleanliness (mostly fine but we found unwanted items of unknown origin and purpose in the room) and even free self-service laundry.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The building was rundown and obviously very old when looked at from the outside, the hotel is on the 16th floor but we really liked our room. The staff did a good job accommodating us and explaining the rules. They gave us tea, coffee and water along with a kettle during our stay, there was a common area for guests to relax and enjoy their time when not in their room and the bathroom was lovely, not like typical ones in Taipei at all. It was a little cramped but the shower was huge and was separated from the toilet by a glass door. Overall, extremely good value for money.

We got a connecting room that catered to our needs. The hotel is in a strategic location and is near an MRT station. The downside of this hotel is that the air-conditioning temperature is preset and cannot be adjusted. We asked the receptionist to lower it, but the issue was not resolved in one of the rooms and it still felt warm. We went back to the receptionist the next day to request another adjustment. They informed us that the controller was faulty and provided us with a fan instead. At least they made an effort to help. Despite this hiccup, we would still recommend this hotel.

The location is great, right in front of the main Kaohsiung Station. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Also there's a Ubike parking right next. The room is spacious. That's the upsides. The downsides are many and mostly have to go with the hotel age and the state of repair. It seems the management has given up, or is trying to squeeze the living life out of the place. The interior is decrepit, worn, moldy in places, and hasn't been properly renovated in years. Many things are broken or do not work properly. The beds are very hard. The window noise insulation no longer works properly, there's lots of traffic noise, despite the double glazing. The appliances are very old. I paid about 1500 per night. It's a bit much for such a place.

Single’s Inn was a functional and reasonably priced stay for three nights. The location is one of its strongest advantages: the inn is around a ten-minute walk from the main station, where buses, local railway services, bus stations, and the metro are all easily accessible. Breakfast and a small hot pool is included, and guests are provided with pyjamas, slippers, one regular towel, and one smaller towel. The inn also has a laundry room and a common room. The staff were able to communicate in both Mandarin and English. Overall, the inn offers the type of experience one might reasonably expect at this price point: basic, convenient, and sufficient for a short stay. The main limitation is sound insulation. The walls and doors are very thin, and I could hear people in nearby rooms coughing, talking, and snoring. Noise from the corridor was also noticeable, including doors opening and closing, people walking in slippers, and general movement. Sounds from the washroom, especially hair dryers and doors being opened or closed, were also easy to hear from the room. The hair dryer in the women’s area worked well, but became a recurring noise issue in combination with poor soundproofing. Overall, Single’s Inn worked adequately for a short stay, especially due to its proximity to transportation and the inclusion of breakfast and basic amenities. However, I would not personally stay here for more than two nights, particularly as someone sensitive to noise. 1. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station. It's also a 5-minute walk to Exit 10 of Formosa Boulevard Station, though this exit doesn't have an elevator, so it's not recommended if you have large luggage. 2. The hotel provides a variety of snacks and drinks, all available for free. 3. I originally booked a queen room, but the hotel upgraded me to a room with two queen beds free of charge, which I appreciate. 4. The self-service laundry room is on the 3rd floor and requires a 10 NTD coin. 5. I arrived at the hotel at 1 PM on a rainy afternoon and was informed that check-in was at 3 PM. Oh well, I left my luggage and headed out with an umbrella to find something to eat. 6. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design is excellent. However, the shower door isn't sealed, so water tends to leak out.

Never been to this area. Went only for the E-da theme park, which was honestly speaking quite small. Not spectacular. 1. Ordered hotel ahead. So, didn’t have the chance to check out the environment. After arriving, we found out that the Royal E-da hotel had a lot more amenities, I.e. pool, jacuzzi, arcade room etc. Back to this skylark hotel. 1. Room was alright, staff were very helpful, was upgraded to the three bed instead of the 2 bed. 2. Cleanliness was alright, didn’t like the 3in1 coffee though. 3. Gym was really big with very limited equipment, or broken equipment which opens at 8am, which wasn’t pleasing for those who have a long day ahead and exercise in the early hours. 4. Breakfast area was really big, vast food selection, but the food was a bit substandard. 5. Went during ***** new year, so there was a lion dance, which was alright. Don’t really plan on coming back to this area, but would definitely recommend the royal e-da, though the rate is 20% more

The best part is how incredibly clean it is; I even wiped everything down with a wet wipe and found no dust at all. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I visit Kaohsiung in the future.

There was a small incident during my stay at E-Da Royal Hotel, but it is worth noting how helpful and accommodating the staff were. I had accidentally made two bookings—one paid and one unpaid. Instead of leaving me to figure it out on my own, the staff kindly assisted me in resolving the situation quickly and smoothly. There was also a minor miscommunication with one of the staff members. Rubina, the Manager on Duty, truly made my day by personally investigating what happened and ensuring that the issue would not occur again. She kept me updated throughout the process and provided clear information—something I have rarely experienced in other hotels. Because of this level of care and professionalism, I felt very well taken care of. Would I come back to Kaohsiung? Maybe. But would I come back to E-Da Royal Hotel? Definitely yes.

Stayed at Z Zhongshan Kaohsiung recently and had a very good experience overall. The hotel location is very convenient, just a short walking distance to the train station and easy to travel around Kaohsiung. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I especially liked the bathroom design with separate dry and wet areas. The bathtub was very clean as well, which made it nice for a relaxing soak after a long day outside. The shower gel and shampoo provided were good quality and comfortable to use. The bed was soft and comfortable, allowing for a good rest during the stay. We enjoyed our stay and were honoured to be invited by the hotel to celebrate the New Year Eve Party with a complimentary dinner at the Wok Restaurant on Level 2 and a count down and welcome 2026 party with free flow drinks at the Rooftop Bar. We watched the fireworks at the stroke of midnight from the Bar with great music, beautiful view and lovely guests! It was a fantastic end to 2025 and the memories will stay in us forever! Thank you Hotel Indigo Kaoshiung for the wonderful and memorable stay. Everything from the hotel staff to the room amenities were top notch! We will certainly recommend your hotel and will definitely stay here when we visit Kaoshiung again.

This hotel definitely deserves a special shout-out! My experience was fantastic right from check-in. For those who enjoy culinary experiences, I highly recommend checking out their 'one night, two meals' package. I loved the ice cream with nachos at the ground floor cafe. The evening snacks and breakfast on the second floor were also delicious. While it might not have the extensive variety of a typical star-rated hotel buffet, it offers a great chance to try various local snacks. Every single braised meat, minced pork, and topping was incredibly flavorful, and I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of a rice cooker so you could serve yourself hot rice. You could really tell that the restaurant staff and managers were genuinely dedicated to service and food quality, constantly moving around and attending to guests. The room was spotless, and the lighting was much brighter than what you'd typically find in comparable hotels. The bathroom was also more spacious. The only minor drawback was a gap of about 1cm under the room door, which made me think the soundproofing might not be great. However, I wasn't disturbed by any noise from outside during my stay.

I would give this hotel 100 out of 10! The stay was truly excellent, offering great value for money and wonderful service throughout. I really appreciated the complimentary snacks provided during the stay, and the hotel also offers free laundry service, which was a very nice bonus (even though I personally missed the chance to use it). The room itself was not very large, but it was well arranged with two queen beds. The hotel also provided four bottles of water and four sets of amenities, even though the room was for two guests and I stayed alone. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable, making it easy to sleep well. The staff were all very friendly, professional, and able to communicate clearly. Whenever I asked for recommendations or assistance, they provided useful and thoughtful suggestions. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Guests can also enjoy complimentary snacks and ice cream downstairs during the stay. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely amazing service. I had delayed flights and a long travel time. I had a concert the same day and just expected to be allowed to drop my bags and check in later. However the staff were so friendly, understood and allowed me to check in early, luckily my room was ready. It meant a lot to me, thank you! Best hotel I have stayed in a while, yummy breakfast and fabulous views.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Its location near Kaohsiung's bustling Formosa Boulevard MRT station is excellent, with plenty of shops and businesses nearby, plus a large grocery store just across the street. The hotel's service truly felt five-star. While there isn't a grand lobby, the practical amenities, like the outdoor swimming pool, were fantastic. The breakfast was also great, and they even had ice cream!

The hotel location is unbeatable - it is located right beside the Love River with beautiful and relax view. There is a 7-11 is right next to the hotel which makes my stay easier. I enjoy the hotel overall, however there is an odd smell when I stepped right into the lobby and the smell remained constantly during my entire stay. Luckily the room smells fresh. I like the hotel and highly recommend to others and will come back if I visit KH again.

I was upgraded from a standard room to a corner room this time, which I really appreciate. Even though the corner room had a city view, being on the 7th floor still felt very atmospheric. Looking out from inside, the design was great, and the overall design of both the room and the lobby was excellent. A big plus was the very reasonable price I booked on Trip. A few minor drawbacks include: • Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there's no ice or microwave service. • Only tea bags were provided, no coffee, which was a little disappointing. • There were no hooks in the bathroom, making it a bit inconvenient when changing clothes, especially for business travelers. I hope these points can be improved in the future.
