This is an old hotel, but it's very well-maintained, and the quality is still top-notch! I stayed here once about 10 years ago and hadn't been back since. This hotel used to be quite the place back then! I'm delighted to have had the chance to stay again. Both the facilities and service are excellent, and the location is super convenient. I'll definitely come back if I have the opportunity! Also, a big thank you to Luke Lee at the front desk for his very warm welcome during check-in!

I usually don't bother leaving reviews, but when I checked out, I told the front desk there were bugs. They just said, 'Sorry, we'll take care of it.' What I didn't expect was for one of them to crawl into my suitcase! I didn't buy any local specialties, but I brought a Chongqing bug home with me instead 😞. That night, I wanted to switch to the taller pillow – I prefer sleeping on the other side – and when I flipped it over, this bug was still moving! There were also little black spots around it, so it must have been there for a while. I immediately threw both pillows on the floor. My mom was already asleep, so I didn't call the front desk. I just snapped a few photos and stepped on it a couple of times, thinking it was dead. But when I got up to check before turning off the lights to sleep, even its body was gone! Its willpower is truly something. It didn't look like a cockroach, and I was so scared it would crawl back up that I woke up many times throughout the night... The front desk lady who checked me in was really nice though; she was very patient and told me I could call the front desk with any issues.

Centrally located, this hotel is within walking distance to Jiefangbei, Shibati, and other attractions. Plus, the metro is easily accessible. You can visit Hongyadong and Ciqikou, then take the metro back to enjoy the night view of Shibati, saving a lot of travel time. For New Year's Eve dinner, I had pre-booked with Nina at the restaurant before my trip. To my surprise, when we arrived, the restaurant had arranged a special family photo shoot for all the diners – it was truly unforgettable! The next day, there was even a lion dance blessing event, making for a truly auspicious start to the new year!

The location is excellent, as the hotel is situated right above Raffles City Mall in Chongqing. It is very convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around the city. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. It even comes with a washing machine and washing powder, which was a big plus for a longer stay. One unique highlight is the drone show on Saturdays. You can head to the Level 1 outdoor platform to watch it. The platform is spacious and feels quite private for hotel guests, so you don’t have to squeeze with the large crowds at the public viewing areas. Just note that the view is reversed because the show faces the opposite side of the river, but it is still a fun experience. The hotel also provides free supper every night, which is a nice touch and adds extra value to the stay. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were very friendly, especially the security guard at the lower ground floor. There is a tall, middle-aged gentleman who is always smiling and extremely helpful. He assisted us in communicating with our Didi driver and even helped carry our luggage to the car when we left, which made a great impression. Overall, a highly recommended stay for anyone visiting Chongqing.

Service: At 2 AM, I called room service after a late-night snack run, and they answered immediately. Both sets of front desk staff I encountered during check-in and check-out were extremely professional. Environment: This is an old-money style hotel. There's a small night market behind the building in the evenings. Downstairs, there are two 24-hour convenience stores. This was my first time not staying in Chongqing's main tourist area, and it was great – lots of local dining options, no traffic jams, and not too crowded. Cleanliness: Very clean and smelled lovely. Daily cleaning and replenishment of supplies were also done very well. Facilities: The facilities could use some optimization. Some very small parts should be replaced. The stopper in my bathroom sink (room 1615) wasn't working properly 😅. The value for money was incredible! (I thought given the price, the service and amenities might be subpar, but they absolutely weren't... one bathrobe was more expensive than my one-night stay, but it was truly the most comfortable bathrobe I've ever worn). I took the little bear with me; it can be purchased directly, which is perfect for introverts who want a souvenir but don't want to socialize with the hotel staff.

The breakfast had a great variety of both Chinese and Western options, and the Chongqing noodles were authentically delicious. Located right at the foot of Jiefangbei, it's either a short taxi ride or within walking distance to all the nearby attractions – perfect if you love being in the heart of the action. The service at every touchpoint was professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and proactive. Phone service was incredibly responsive, items were delivered to the room quickly, and check-in at the front desk was a breeze. The concierge was especially patient in explaining how to navigate to the underground parking (it's a one-way street, so you have to loop around, and the garage entrance is about a kilometer from the hotel entrance). After checking in, a family member got an upset stomach, and we couldn't find suitable food outside. We called the restaurant to ask if they could send up a bowl of plain congee, and they immediately agreed, which we really appreciated. The room was clean and hygienic, with a window for ventilation that offered views of the riverfront and Jiefangbei Square. The only odd thing was that even on the 33rd floor, we could still smell cooking from outside, and we're not sure why.

The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated and has an artistic vibe. The swimming pool and hot tub are also nice and not crowded. However, the in-room facilities are not great; the toilet flush doesn't work well, and the overhead shower isn't good either. The hotel uses Kavinfense toiletries, but for some reason, the shower gel smells particularly bad. **Environment:** The hotel is located in the IFS center, so you can easily go downstairs for shopping. It faces the river, offering views of the Grand Theater. Hongyadong is slightly off to the side. You can see the drone show, but it's from the back. **Service:** First, as a five-star hotel, you'd usually expect the hotel manager to contact you in advance to inquire about your stay preferences, but I didn't receive any such call. Second, it's unusual to be charged extra for a third guest, with them claiming that an additional person significantly increases operational costs. The welcome fruit was also quite basic (apples, bananas). The minibar had very few drinks and snacks. However, the front desk offered a solution: we paid a bit extra to upgrade to an N3 room, and they waived the additional charge for the third person. I didn't have breakfast on the first day, as the hotel packed it for me. I tried the hotel breakfast on the second day, and it was terrible. There wasn't much variety either. The spicy chicken wasn't even as good as the one served at their own hotel bar; there's a huge difference. There were no reminders about relevant services, no hotel information provided, and no departure souvenirs. I even considered changing hotels at the time but was too lazy to bother. Since it was a vacation, I didn't extend my stay and moved to another hotel. The front desk and concierge service were quite good. Answering calls, delivering items to the room, and luggage storage were all handled very enthusiastically. After checking out, the hotel called to inquire about my stay. However, I was out at the time and couldn't provide a detailed explanation, and they didn't follow up later. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend it, especially given the high price. Besides the nice hotel views and decent bar ambiance, everything else is quite average, some even below par.

Had a really wonderful stay here — easily one of the highlights of our Chongqing trip. Service was exceptional from the start. The team reached out via WeChat even before our arrival and helped to arrange all our pre-check-in requirements smoothly, which made everything very seamless. We were also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a Hot Spring Retreat Room to a Hot Spring House, which came with an additional terrace — such a lovely touch and made the stay even more special. The in-room hot spring was definitely a highlight. Super relaxing, very private, and the amenities provided were thoughtful and of good quality. The overall environment is beautiful and peaceful, with very nice scenery all around — perfect for a quiet getaway. Food was great as well. We had to check out in the middle of the night, and the staff kindly helped to prepare a takeaway breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. There was also a complimentary photoshoot experience with Chinese imperial costumes, including 5 free shots. Additional edited soft copies are available at 25 RMB each — a fun and memorable activity to have during the stay. Overall, everything from service to facilities exceeded expectations. Would definitely come back again.

The hotel is generally a pleasant stay, though it is quite remote, which may not suit everyone. During our visit, the area was covered in thick fog, so we were unfortunately unable to fully explore and enjoy the resort grounds. That said, there were several positives. The heated bed was a particularly thoughtful amenity and made a big difference in the cold weather. The hotel also provided a good spread of breakfast despite it being the low season, which we appreciated. However, housekeeping could be improved—used cups were not washed during routine cleaning, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, a comfortable stay with good amenities, but with some room for improvement in service.

My kids went to Chongqing for spring break, and Chongqing really is an 8D magical city. We were exhausted from exploring every day, so it was great to come back to a comfortable and relaxing hotel environment. A special shout-out to Jackie, who communicated with us in advance about our needs and made sure everything we requested was prepared. Xiao Tang was also wonderful; she reminded us that we could contact the hotel directly for anything we needed. Qi Feng, from the lobby security team, was exceptionally helpful. My mom had to leave a day early by herself, and he not only helped her with her luggage but also called a taxi for her. The swimming pool staff deserve huge praise too! My kids basically went swimming every day, and we adults didn't even need to supervise them. They were incredibly responsible, constantly keeping an eye on the children, which allowed us to get some much-needed rest. We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and by the last day, my kids didn't want to leave, saying they wished they could stay longer!

Location was good, situation in the middle of Jiefangbei and close by to many hotpot restaurants. However, the downside is that 90% of the food places nearby are hotpot, so you will need to travel further if you want to try other kinds of food. No complaints about the service or amenities, the room was spacious and the toilet was large enough. The beds were clean and comfortable, although the toilet looked slightly old and could be cleaner. Overall, still worth a stay if you’re on a budget.

The location is absolutely fantastic! So convenient for getting everywhere! The people in Chongqing are genuinely kind and welcoming! I'll definitely be back! Coincidentally, the hotel's air conditioning was under maintenance, so we didn't have AC for the three days we stayed. It was a bit cool in the mornings and evenings, and the room felt a bit stuffy. It's a suite and quite spacious! It was perfect for three girls. It comes with a fridge, washing machine, and dryer. The hairdryer is a Dyson, and all the amenities are mid-to-high end. There's even a bathtub for soaking, which is amazing, but they don't even advertise it! I loved it so much! The high-floor view is also pretty good, and the cleanliness was acceptable.

The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and convenience stores, making it very convenient. The noodles served for breakfast were delicious 😋. The room overall was decent, but there's room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. The front desk staff were all friendly and had a good service attitude. If you need a taxi, it's recommended to confirm the pick-up location beforehand, as the road outside the hotel isn't very convenient for parking.

The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is also large, featuring a separation between wet and dry areas, and it has all the necessary amenities for personal hygiene. The value for money is also very high! There’s even a washing machine, allowing for free laundry service with just a call to the concierge. It’s affordable and convenient! I’ll definitely come back next time. Satisfied with the stay. 💓

Before coming to Chongqing, a friend recommended I stay at the Orange Crystal Hotel near Chaotianmen, saying it had excellent service and a delicious, varied breakfast, perfect for travelers from all over. I stayed here for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff were professional, thoughtful, and warm, making me feel right at home. The room was clean and quiet. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.
