I chose the Ramada Encore when visiting relatives in Chongqing, and overall, I was very satisfied. Its location, transportation, and environment were all big pluses. The hotel is located in the Zijing Commercial Plaza in Yubei District, right next to the Guanyinqiao commercial area. It's just a few minutes' walk to the pedestrian street, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. Transportation is excellent. It's about an 8-minute walk to Huangnidang Station on Line 6, and Guanyinqiao Station on Line 3 isn't far either. Taking the subway to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong is a breeze. A taxi ride to Chongqing North Railway Station takes about ten minutes, and getting to Jiangbei Airport is smooth, making travel for family visits stress-free. The surrounding area is lively but not noisy. Downstairs is the popular 'Little Bangkok' street, full of local charm, where you can find authentic Chongqing snacks even late at night. The hotel was newly renovated in 2026, featuring an elegant lobby and clean, tidy rooms. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a quiet rest even in a bustling area. The service is warm and attentive, with free parking and a laundry room available. For visiting relatives, this place offers convenient transportation and easy living, making it great value for money. I'll choose it again next time!

This is an old hotel, but it's very well-maintained, and the quality is still top-notch! I stayed here once about 10 years ago and hadn't been back since. This hotel used to be quite the place back then! I'm delighted to have had the chance to stay again. Both the facilities and service are excellent, and the location is super convenient. Facilities: The room facilities were well-maintained, and the bathroom didn't have any unpleasant odors or mildew. Overall, it was very clean and tidy. The one-bedroom suite was decorated simply, and the coffee maker, microwave, oven, refrigerator, and washing machine were all from well-known brands. For the same price, staying in a serviced apartment at a landmark location like this is a great deal. Breakfast was on par with a five-star hotel, offering everything you could want. A big shout-out to the lobby staff; they were very proactive and helpful, even showing us the way to the Chaotianmen dock nearby. Considering the price, location, facilities, brand, and service, this place offers incredible value for money 👍

You can't go wrong with the Kempinski brand, and this stay was no exception. The room was spacious and bright, and the hygiene was impeccable. The floor attendant was friendly and welcoming. The location, facilities, and breakfast quality were all excellent. My only minor complaint is regarding the restaurant service. During breakfast, used plates weren't cleared promptly and piled up. We actually ended up clearing them ourselves because it was getting unsightly. Food items were also slow to be refilled; we frequently saw empty serving dishes in areas like the salad bar, hot food section, and steamed dishes. When I asked a staff member behind the counter (possibly a chef?) for a medium-sized plate for bread, as they were out, she simply told me to ”use the large plate next to it.” I was honestly taken aback. Just like how you have different glasses for water, champagne, and beer, you'd expect different-sized plates for bread and salad. She was clearly just trying to save herself a trip. If this were a two or three-star hotel, I wouldn't even bother asking, but this is a five-star Kempinski. It's a small disappointment.

Came to Chongqing for my kid's spring break, and the hotel's location is excellent – you can see Jiefangbei right from the main entrance. However, the hotel is quite old. The air conditioning units feel like they're from a renovation ten years ago. Because it was raining the day we arrived, the room also had a strong musty smell, and there was a bad odor from the bathroom drains. We arrived too late that day to switch rooms, but I did communicate the situation to the front desk when checking out. They responded very quickly, and their service attitude is definitely commendable. With the room rate approaching 900 near the May Day holiday, the value for money is questionable. I've stayed at many Hyatt hotels across the country, and this one doesn't stand out for its facilities.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the business district, within walking distance to the cable car and Jiefangbei. The lobby is on the 51st floor, guest rooms are on other floors, and the restaurant is on the 50th, which often led to me getting the floors mixed up. The rooms are spacious and very quiet. Breakfast offers a great variety, but no staff member proactively offered tea or coffee. The rooftop infinity pool isn't for swimming; the water and the pool itself weren't very clean. You can buy an afternoon tea set to take photos, but you can still take pictures without buying it, and the views from that floor are nice. Having previously stayed at Niccolo Changsha, I arrived at Niccolo Chongqing with high expectations, eager to experience another 'Beijing girl' property. Like other Niccolos, this one is also located atop an IFC building and shares a similar minimalist luxury design – a popular trend in interior design these past few years. While not overtly unique, its understated elegance appeals to me. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's signature scent, which is consistent with the toiletries in the room; it's a lovely fragrance that really enhances the experience. The service truly stands out. The hotel contacted me in advance, and check-in was efficient, with staff guiding me to the elevator and my room. For any requests, guests can reach out to their butler. Our butler, Yannie, was not only highly efficient but also incredibly warm and helpful, patiently answering all our questions about local cuisine. I was fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to an N3 room, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering panoramic sights of the confluence of the two rivers. The turndown service was a thoughtful touch, providing a face mask and eye mask. Overall, my two-night stay was fantastic. I do have one minor complaint and one regret. The downside is that while the shower and toilet were separate in my room, the toilet didn't have a door, which unfortunately impacted my overall impression of the room. My regret is that my room key wasn't personalized with my name. The front desk mentioned the engraving machine was out of order, and I hope to get that done on a future visit.

A special shout-out to Jackie, who communicated with us in advance about our needs and made sure everything we requested was prepared. Xiao Tang was also wonderful; she reminded us that we could contact the hotel directly for anything we needed. Qi Feng, from the lobby security team, was exceptionally helpful. My mom had to leave a day early by herself, and he not only helped her with her luggage but also called a taxi for her. The swimming pool staff deserve huge praise too! My kids basically went swimming every day, and we adults didn't even need to supervise them. The river view rooms offer great scenery, and I personally think it surpasses the Bund's 'three iconic buildings'. However, besides the uninterrupted river view from the window, the overall stay experience at this hotel was very, very mediocre. My whole family landed in Chongqing, and we took a taxi to the hotel, arriving for check-in at 3 PM. The concierge desk on the first floor was practically useless. We walked past, loaded with luggage, and they simply blurted out, ”Take the elevator upstairs for check-in,” without even asking if we needed help with our bags. Well, maybe this hotel caters more to business events, and casual guests like us are dispensable. Upon reaching the front desk, they searched around and said they couldn't find my reservation. The front desk staff member was very impatient, asking where I booked the room. I showed him my mobile booking confirmation, and he snatched my phone, swiping through it quickly before searching on his computer. Only then did he find it. He then informed me that the room wasn't ready yet… It was almost 4 PM by this point. In all my years, it's rare to encounter a situation where a room isn't ready so late in the afternoon. My elderly parents and I sat in the lobby for an hour. Finally, we checked in. I won't even mention the outdated room facilities. I honestly suggest that any ladies who need to do their makeup when traveling should absolutely not consider this hotel. The bathroom is dimly lit, there's no vanity counter to place cosmetics or skincare products, and the magnifying mirror is broken… Not to mention the mini-bar was completely empty, and they only provided two small bottles of mineral water for one room! 😤 We went for a swim in the evening, and there was only one measly towel in the locker. If you don't specifically ask, the hotel won't proactively provide children's amenities. The lifeguard left their post for half an hour. I can't imagine if any accident were to happen at that moment, whether the hotel would be able to bear the responsibility. The 50th-floor observation deck was just an empty rooftop platform. The 'Cloud Bar' advertised on the elevator navigation had cluttered items piled up, clearly indicating it hadn't been in operation for a long time. Chongqing is known for its nightlife, but the hotel lobby bar closed at 9 PM. A normal lobby bar should at least be open until 10 PM or even 11 PM, right? We didn't book a platinum room or a separate executive lounge, so even if we wanted a drink, there was nowhere to get one. Going back to the location, it's close to Haitangxi Metro Station, two stops from Shangxin Street, making it convenient for taking the cable car across the river or visiting Xiahao Li. You can walk to the riverside and dine or relax at the river view restaurants in Dongyuan 1891.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel recommended by my friend with nice river view at high floor of 22 storey. This hotel is within walking distance of places of interest such as 解放碑,洪崖洞,十八梯 and 魁星楼。 Many eateries around this area and there was a washing machine cum drying machine where the drying process for our clothing took about 2 hours. But have to beware of those promoting on the streets one day tour where the tour guide will tell you that she will not follow on the pamphlet's itineraries. Moreover, we paid one day tour of RMB80 , ended up need to pay extra RMB221 for 25 minutes lunch for 1 table of RMB35 per pax and some entrance fees. We were introduced the one day tour at the road side while we scouting for breakfast and the sales girl said the tour guide could bring us for breakfast there. But the tour guide said there was no time for breakfast when they got a car to meet the tour guide in a big bus and we had to go hungry until lunch time. The bellhops were helpful as they helped us the book the cab or Didi as our apps were unable to book. One of the bellhops even asked us to pay the driver and actually was deducted from his pay wallet. We quickly called up the hotel to pay back the bellhop. This hotel needed us to pay a security payment of RMB500 where we already paid the 3 nites payment through trip com but they promptly refunded us after we checked out.

Fantastic stay. Odor free room, immaculate housekeeping services (we stayed in room 207). They noticed that we drink a lot of water and next day we got 4 bottles instead of 2. Minimal noise once windows closed. Good room layout, enough space for 2 big luggages. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices including non spicy options and ordered from menu. Air conditioning fast and strong. Added bonus was automatic curtains and smart room features. Convenient didi drop off point next to hotel. Sitting area on 15th floor offers great views in evenings. Communication with reception was easy and fast via Wechat. Lots of shopping, food options and attractions within walking distance. We even got little gift during checkeout.

Five stars, highly recommended! I booked this for my parents, and the location is absolutely fantastic, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The front desk staff were exceptionally thoughtful and attentive; they even added me on WeChat and proactively upgraded our room for free with an early check-in – what a pleasant surprise! The room itself was spacious, very clean and tidy overall, with excellent attention to detail, making for a truly comfortable stay. What really touched us was that when we checked out, the staff specially gifted us some hotpot base. This small gesture was incredibly heartwarming. My parents felt completely at home throughout their stay and were very happy. We'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The service was incredibly warm and attentive. They brought fruit to our room upon check-in and even shared travel tips! Any requests we had were responded to promptly, and they even offered us an umbrella when it rained ☂️ The room was very charming, with quite new facilities. It was cleaned thoroughly and promptly, and the bed was super comfortable 😌 The hotel's location is very central, making it easy to walk everywhere. There's even a Li Ruo Tao (a store/cafe, I assume) right across the street, which meant I had to grab a drink there every day 🆘 The rainfall showerhead in the bathroom was huge and had excellent water pressure – showering was a real treat! The only thing is, you can't really avoid the initial blast of water when you turn it on 😱 Overall, a fantastic experience!

I booked a room with breakfast included, which was super convenient. The dining area was right downstairs, offering a great variety of delicious and authentic dishes. Plus, there's a 'food street' nearby, so food, drinks, and entertainment were all easily accessible. The bathtub in the room was spotless and even came with a disposable tub liner, which was a nice touch. Overall, the value for money was excellent. The facilities were very comprehensive and the room was exceptionally clean. It was also very spacious and the environment was really comfortable. [sun emoji]
