  • In the afternoon: Take Line 2 to Liyuan (Liyuan Station). This is a peaceful classical garden, right by the shore of Taihu Lake, and it is the perfect place for a relaxing walk.
  • In the evening: Walk along the ancient canal of Qingming Bridge (Qingming Bridge Station on Line 1), and enjoy a night tour. The canal lights at night are really beautiful.

Day 2: Modern & Natural Wonders

  • In the morning: Visit the Wuxi Museum (at the Citizen Center Station of Line 1) to learn about the history of this city.
  • In the afternoon: Take Line 3 to Shuofang Airport and then take a vehicle to Taihu Paradise. This is an amusement park with rides and a beautiful view of the lake.
  • In the evening: Head to a seafood restaurant near Nanfangquan Station (Line 1) and enjoy some fresh freshwater dishes.

Day 3: Jiangyin Day Trip (via Line S1)

  • In the morning: Take the S1 line to Jiangyin South Railway Station and visit the ancient street of Guanshi. This is a well-preserved old street with many traditional shops and snacks.
  • In the afternoon: Go to Jiashan Park to enjoy the panoramic view of Jiangyin. It's a great place for taking photos.
  • In the evening: Return to Wuxi and buy some Wuxi wontons at the market near Sanyang Square. This is a must-try local snack.

The hotel was excellent, starting with its superb location. It's situated right within Caiyang Square, offering abundant dining and entertainment options nearby. Moreover, it's adjacent to Nanchang Street and the Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal Scenic Area, making it incredibly convenient for food, fun, and sightseeing. Henglong Plaza and Suning Plaza are also not too far, roughly a 20-minute drive away, where you'll also find Chong'an Temple Pedestrian Street. Overall, it met our expectations. Breakfast variety was a bit limited; if you arrived later, options became scarce. The food quality was only average – nothing special, just enough to fill you up. We didn't get a chance to experience the swimming pool and gym, so I can't provide a comment on them.

The hotel is right next to Nanchang Street, and as soon as you walk into the lobby, there's a strong Christmas atmosphere. The lobby decorations also have a very local feel. The room was spacious and had a bathtub. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful; they even upgraded my room type and gave helpful travel suggestions. It was a very satisfying choice.

The hotel is conveniently located near Taihu Plaza and close to Nanfang Street, with excellent hardware facilities. We were upgraded to a city view room, which was a nice touch. The main drawback is that the hotel uses a central air conditioning system, so individual rooms cannot adjust the temperature. During our stay, the AC wasn't on, and we had to call the front desk to coordinate with engineering to turn it on. Our south-facing room got quite warm, significantly impacting our comfort. For a five-star hotel, maintaining a comfortable temperature at all times should be a basic expectation. Another minor point is that while the breakfast selection was extensive, the quality wasn't always up to par, with some food items being rather average. I might be a bit picky about food, but for a 5-star hotel, I have higher expectations.

I just stayed at Club Med in Nanjing and stayed at the Shibo Residence. Both hotels are primarily family-friendly. The Shibo Residence's rooms are smaller, with fewer child-friendly amenities, and the staff are smaller and less responsive. Everything else is acceptable, but the constant urging for positive reviews, under the pretext of a free upgrade, is a bit annoying. One of the two rooms asked if we could check out by 2 p.m., and the response was that we had already received a free upgrade, so we had to apply for a late checkout. The application process took a long time. I went downstairs and saw a guest who went directly to the front desk and asked, and they got the late checkout. The upgrade was first initiated by the hotel. Secondly, in all my previous hotels, if a room was available that day, we would upgrade it upon check-in. This time, this hotel called a day in advance and offered to upgrade. They then tried to trick me into signing up for a Huazhu Club membership of over 200 on WeChat. After I declined, they said they needed to consult with management for the upgrade. After I checked in, they started offering free upgrades again, so there was that. Whether we upgraded the room type or not, the room size and configuration were the same. Only one had a lake view, and that wasn't very good. Yet, we felt like we were being morally blackmailed. This is truly the first time I've seriously reviewed a hotel's service. It's probably mainly a management issue, forcing the customer service to behave this way. I hope the hotel doesn't punish the customer service staff for this.

The lobby is beautiful, and the pool and gym are clean with no strange odors. The room is spacious and quiet, with a very thoughtful design. From the window, you can see many boats on the river, and the night view is quite lovely. Breakfast is abundant and delicious; the omelets are great and the watermelon is very sweet (personally, I couldn't quite get used to the lamb offal soup, so if you're sensitive to the smell of lamb, be cautious). Not far from here, you can find Mao Hua's Yulan Bing, Yuanyuan Baozi's vegetable buns, and Jizi Dabing, all of which are quite tasty.

The second time I stayed there, it happened to be the annual meeting of a company. There were so many people staying on Friday! The elevator was super slow. Only one elevator was operating during the morning peak! I waited for a long time! The elevator was full of people! It stopped on every floor! ! ! The breakfast was not replenished in time. The watermelon 🍉 was all gone, and there were still a few slices left! It's an older hotel. It's more convenient to go to the Mixc next door! It's very convenient to go to Lihu Light!

This is my second stay. The hotel is located in the new city, or more precisely, in the financial street. There are major banks and financial buildings nearby. It is very convenient to travel. There is a subway station outside the door, and the Coast City Shopping Center is 800 meters away. The hotel facilities are still very new. The gym on the 41st floor is great, with a swimming pool, strength training, and yoga room. This time I stayed on May Day. The hotel occupancy rate was quite high, and the service was also very good. Thanks to Angela and the front desk manager Zhang. I could basically see him busy for 3 days. He is very dedicated. Angela helped to properly arrange the room from the beginning of the reservation. Thank you very much.

If u need to travel to 灵山大佛 and 拈花湾, I will propose staying in this hotel for the convenience to catch the early 乐2号线tourist bus. Taking metro to shopping mall(line1) and 惠山ancient town(line3, change to line4) is quite nearby and convenient too. Room is huge, clean and nice. Bed is firm and pillow is soft but firm. I only find the breakfast spread is not up to international standards. Nothing much to do in the nearby other than convenience of the train, metro and bus services availability.

Exceptional Stay at Pullman Wuxi New Lake – Top-notch Service and Comfort I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pullman Wuxi New Lake, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations in every possible way. From the moment I arrived, the level of hospitality was outstanding. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail of my stay was perfect. A special mention goes to Hotel Manager Mike, whose dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. Mike went above and beyond to make sure my experience was seamless and enjoyable — from offering local recommendations to checking in personally to ensure I was comfortable. His professionalism and genuine care for guests are what make this hotel shine. The hotel itself is well designed, with spacious rooms that are very comfortable. The facilities, including the fitness center and indoor pool, were immaculate and well-maintained. It is not far from Huishan Ancient Town, Nanchang Street or Yuantouzhu. The service is also very good. The most grateful thing is that when we left today, we left a backpack in the hotel. I immediately contacted the lady at the counter and told her that they had found it, and then asked him to courier it back to our home, which was done very quickly. Although I only stayed for two nights, it was definitely a very satisfying trip. I sincerely recommend that you stay in the mountains when you come to Yixing. The air is very fresh. Elderly people say that breathing fresh air relieves their throat discomfort a lot. The hotel's service is very enthusiastic. From the first day of check-in, the room was upgraded for free and the impression was very good. The staff were very enthusiastic. The elder was not used to sleeping on soft pillows and thick quilts, so he immediately replaced them with summer thin quilts and buckwheat pillows after the communication the next day. Because there was no takeout available in the city, and I was too lazy to go out to find a farmhouse, I had dinner at the hotel. I ordered hot pepper tofu for two days in a row. The tofu in the mountains didn’t have any beany smell at all, and I was very happy with it. Free yogurt was also given in the evening. Before leaving, I was also given special black rice. Another major feature of the hotel is the hot spring, which is also very comfortable. Because I went out to play in the morning and soaked in the evening for two consecutive days, the fatigue of the day was relieved.

I expected so much more from a place calling itself the GRAND Hotel. This was not even average (at best). Check in was not very friendly. The room had many issues, for example half of the lights did not work, so the room was very dark the entire time I was there. The Wifi was really spotty and was difficult to sign into. The bed was okay, had a so so sleep. To be honest I have stayed in far better places in Wuxi for a way cheaper price, but I was tired and did not want to complain or change rooms/hotels. I will say that I was very disappointed for the price. I only chose this place because of the tub and pool. The tub was ok and to be honest after seeing the state of the room I did not even bother with the pool. I figured if the room was not that great then they probably don't clean the pool well. They had ads for in room massage but it was not available that day (then why advertise all over). The Air Con was a joke, it did not cool well at all. The TV was ancient and I had to mess with the batteries to even turn it on. Check out was not that polite either. A couple positives, the bellboy helped me leave with my bags, and I can say that the girls at the morning breakfast were very polite and kind...but this is not their fault, the food was pretty horrendous. At least the coffee was decent and plentiful. Overall the rest of the staff made me feel like I was a big inconvenience while being there. My advice is to check reviews and get a WAY better hotel for elsewhere for far less money. I will not be back to this old, shoddy, dodgy hotel.

We stayed in rainy day, unfortunately, umbrellas were not available (all were taken out and no umbrella in the room). Breakfast is relatively simple, mostly Asian style, kind of decent. Will I stay there again? - not sure; will depend on competitors’ offers; it feels a bit overpriced.

The hotel was conveniently located right on the main road, making it incredibly easy to find. The front desk staff were consistently warm and welcoming. During my two-day stay, they always offered me chilled sour plum juice to quench my thirst, and even gave me a small snack upon my departure. The room itself was spacious and bright, with ample natural light and a complete tea set. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful placement of the air conditioning unit, which was directed towards the drying rack instead of directly onto the bed. Even the housekeeping staff were exceptionally considerate; noticing me eagerly drinking water after a bike ride, she proactively offered me two additional bottles of mineral water. This truly highlights their proactive and guest-centric approach.

The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable! But the bath water seems to be constant temperature, a little hot! There is a restaurant street around, a good place for late night snacks. Equipped with charging piles, no worries about tram travel!

I stayed two consecutive nights in Building A and was very impressed with the value for money and the overall experience. It's definitely a hotel I'd recommend to everyone! My room was a lake-view room, offering stunning views of both the lake and the Ferris wheel right from my window! I truly appreciate the hotel's classic, old-world charm. With 50 years of history, the elegant solid wood and marble finishes, as well as the meticulously maintained gardens in the public areas, are all incredibly pleasing to the eye. Waking up early for a solo stroll, the natural scenery – the shimmering lake, every plant, tree, and architectural detail within the hotel grounds – was truly soul-nourishing. I felt as if I could draw energy from the century-old trees, setting the tone for an energized day! However, the dining experience was undoubtedly the most memorable part. The buffet breakfast was incredibly varied and delicious, and the service was exceptionally friendly – everything was perfectly to my taste. Even the children's playground provided a moment of instant relaxation for me! It's an ideal spot for parents with children, and for anyone like me seeking mental and physical relaxation amidst beautiful natural scenery.

I chose Eddie Garden Hotel for this trip to Wuxi. The experience was great! The location is good, the surrounding transportation is convenient, and it is close to the highway and Yanqiao Station of Metro Line 1. The internal environment is even better. It is surrounded by water on three sides and has an inner garden. The charm of Jiangnan water town and modern fashion are perfectly integrated. There are also cute little rabbits, the room is clean and comfortable, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, and the food is rich and delicious. The leisure facilities are also complete. I will stay here next time I come to Wuxi!

Xuntang Shuxiang Hotel has been excellent from the beginning. Soon after booking, the housekeeper will contact in advance to inform the specific location and arrival time. The hotel staff will wait at the entrance of the parking lot. Very considerate and convenient. Check-in has always been carried by the hotel staff and sent to the room, which is effortless. The hotel is in the ancient town, and it is really comfortable to play in the ancient town if you don't want to move. I especially thank the housekeeper Feng Yukai for responding to everything. It is a 24-hour service. Inquiries about dining and other issues are also answered in detail. Such service is really worth it and considerate. The room facilities are very good. I like the toiletries very much. The intelligent facilities are really attractive. When I come to Wuxi again, I will definitely come to Xuntang Shuxiang again. The delicate work attitude and warm service. Although the time together is limited, who can not love a place with warmth and history that cannot be copied.

The core needs are fully met, the bedding is clean, the sound insulation effect is good, it does not affect the rest at all, the surrounding snacks, convenience stores are piled up, it is convenient to eat and buy things, the check-in and check-out efficiency at the front desk is super high, the price of 100 yuan is really cost-effective, and I will look for this one when I come to Wuxi in the future!

Location was perfect, 5min walk from MRT which is also an interchange. Attractions very close by. Room was beautiful with good amenities and fully equipped gym. Only downside was the constant horning in the morning by motorcycles downstairs, which is uncontrollable by hotel. They provide ear plugs but recommend to request for room not facing the road. Will recommend this chain and particular branc for the location.

I was deeply touched by the warmth and hospitality of the Wuxi people. There was a minor issue with the room's air conditioner dripping slightly, but it didn't really affect my stay. The front desk manager was very apologetic and kept insisting it was their fault, promptly calling maintenance to fix it immediately. The lovely lady also offered complimentary breakfast and a beautiful souvenir. This trip to Wuxi, with its rich cultural heritage and beautiful cityscape, moved me beyond words. A heartfelt thank you once again to all the staff at Jinjiang Inn.

The hotel is located in a remote area, but parking is convenient, the greenery is also very good, and the hotel is very large. We did not choose the breakfast package this time because the package offered was bundled with scenic spot tickets. The facilities in the room are a bit old, the faucet pressure for the shower is not strong enough, the large shower head does not gather, and the water temperature is hot and cold. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel tastes average, the dishes are not much, and the price is in line with the five-star charging standard. The elevator broke down on the first day I entered, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I hope the hotel can maintain the elevator regularly.

Beautiful. The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station, making getting around incredibly easy. The room was also good; it was perfect for a trip to Wuxi with friends. They have a laundry room service with professional washing machines, which is a big plus! Wuxi is really beautiful and worth a visit.

The TV was quite small, and some of the electronic controls were a bit tricky, requiring staff assistance. The room's air conditioning automatically reset to a warmer temperature whenever we left, so it was never cool upon our return, and our pre-set temperature settings were ignored. The breakfast buffet selection was quite limited, and servers didn't proactively clear tables during the meal. At the noodle station, the attendant seemed to treat guests differently; she would ask locals if they wanted fish soup with their wontons, but out-of-town guests were simply given regular seaweed soup by default without being asked. The hotel doesn't have an underground parking garage, which meant parking on the surface lot subjected our car to intense sun on hot days.
