To those worried about the air conditioning not being cool enough, rest assured, even on the lowest setting, it's perfectly comfortable. I saw all the positive reviews in the comments section showing pictures of the front desk view and thought they might be fake, which made me a bit worried when checking in. But to my surprise, the room I was assigned was actually really good. The bedding and linens felt new and fresh, and the cleanliness was also fine. The only minor downside was that the laundry bags felt a bit low quality. Overall, it's an excellent stay. It would be even better if the two elevators could be linked together for faster service.

This is an old hotel, but it's very well-maintained, and the quality is still top-notch! I stayed here once about 10 years ago and hadn't been back since. This hotel used to be quite the place back then! I'm delighted to have had the chance to stay again. Both the facilities and service are excellent, and the location is super convenient. I'll definitely come back if I have the opportunity! Also, a big thank you to Luke Lee at the front desk for his very warm welcome during check-in!

The Glenview ITC plaza hotel is one of the best hotels we stayed. It was a walking distance to major sightseeing places of Chongqing as well as had great eating places in and around the hotel. The breakfast-lunch buffet till 13:30 had a good selection, which was changed at 11:30. In addition, the afternoon tea served on 39th floor provided with a great view of the city while enjoying a game of pool. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much.

My stay at Ascott Raffles City Chongqing was fantastic. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of Raffles City commercial center, with endless shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Getting around was incredibly convenient. The room itself was exceptionally spacious and bright, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Chongqing from every window. It was fully equipped with amenities like a kitchen and laundry facilities, making for a very comfortable stay – perfect for families or business travelers. A special shout-out to the hotel staff for their warm and attentive service; they were always quick to assist with everything from check-in to daily needs, which was incredibly comforting. Both the facilities and service quality were truly impressive. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Chongqing.

I've been to Chongqing many times, but this was my first stay at a Kempinski. I'd seen on Trip.com that the hotel opened in 2012, so I assumed the facilities and decor might be a bit outdated. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that despite being open for 14 years, this Kempinski is still exceptionally well-maintained. The original construction materials and furnishings were clearly high-quality, luxury items, so overall, aside from the slightly older design and decor style, everything else was unexpectedly good. This includes the dining options – whether it was Elements Western Restaurant, the Beer Bar, or the Executive Lounge, the food quality was impressive. The desserts and bread, in particular, truly showcased the essence of German culinary excellence. Of course, as a boutique hotel under the GHA DISCOVERY alliance, what truly impressed me most was the service. From the welcoming attitude of the staff to the efficiency of the management team in resolving issues, it truly lives up to Kempinski's reputation as a European hotel aristocrat. Special thanks to the hotel management and operations teams for their meticulous care and excellent service during my stay. Employees like Wilson, the Director of Rooms, Paul, the Guest Services Manager, and Lucy, the Executive Lounge intern, all deserve special recognition!

We were two adults and two children, in town for a concert. Now that the kids are older, a comfortable sleep is a priority, so I always look for hotels with two 1.8m beds. This often limits my choices, as most other hotels only offer 1.35m twin beds. I really appreciate that this place has two 1.8m beds. The location is excellent – a mere three to four-minute walk from Jiefangbei, and the nearest subway station, Jiaochangkou, is less than a 5-minute walk away. The snack street downstairs is also incredibly convenient. It's also very close to Shancheng 18 Steps, and you can take Line 2 directly to the Olympic Sports Center for concerts. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay. We did encounter a couple of minor issues during our stay – the shower head wouldn't switch and the internet wasn't connecting, but these were resolved very quickly. If we come back with the kids, I'd definitely choose this hotel again. The only downside is that there are many hotels in this building, so the elevators can take a while to arrive.

I brought my mom along, and after a long search for the perfect hotel, I settled on this one. It's in a very quiet area, the rooms are spacious, and what's even better is the beautiful surrounding scenery, especially at night. The room was well-ventilated and dry, and the air conditioning worked great. It's also super convenient to get around by taxi or subway from here. But what really stood out was the service. From check-in to check-out, they were always quick to respond on WeChat, which made for a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chongqing. The hotel even has its own hand-drawn brochures with travel tips, which shows a lot of thoughtful effort.

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Chongqing Jiafengbei! The hotel offers excellent value for money - definitely the best in its price range. We were given a spacious 2-room setup with a comfortable 1.5m bed. Although our room had no view, it really didn’t matter as the room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The highlight was the reception staff - they were incredibly beautiful, friendly, and attentive. The lady at the front desk even went out of her way to provide us with extra fruits and drinks, which made us feel truly welcomed. Great location, good facilities, and outstanding service. Came to Chongqing for my kid's spring break, and the hotel's location is excellent – you can see Jiefangbei right from the main entrance. However, the hotel is quite old. The air conditioning units feel like they're from a renovation ten years ago. Because it was raining the day we arrived, the room also had a strong musty smell, and there was a bad odor from the bathroom drains. We arrived too late that day to switch rooms, but I did communicate the situation to the front desk when checking out. They responded very quickly, and their service attitude is definitely commendable. With the room rate approaching 900 near the May Day holiday, the value for money is questionable. I've stayed at many Hyatt hotels across the country, and this one doesn't stand out for its facilities.

The facilities are a bit old, but generally well-maintained. I stayed on the 26th floor and the room had a damp smell, which wasn't great. The windows felt like they weren't there at all; they provided no soundproofing. The showerhead was leaking and needs to be replaced. The elevators in the public areas felt like they had no AC, were very hot at noon, and were slow. Hygienics: Meets Hyatt standards. Environment: Meets Hyatt standards. Service: So-so. After 10 PM, there was no answer when calling room service. Location: Good, quiet yet central. There are many shopping areas nearby, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. Other: The executive lounge's food was average with no live cooking stations. The pool has a hot tub and dry sauna, but the water quality was mediocre. Overall, everything is quite old.

Very satisfied with stay as it’s our first time to Chongqing and wanted to explore Jiefangbei. Room is apartment style, spacious and cleaned daily. Amenities are replaced promptly. There’s washing machine in-room with drying function. Negatives is that slippers are uncomfortable, pillows too soft for my liking and water gets leaked out to dry area during shower. Fortunately we had our own slippers. You’ll be charge Y30 if you bring home the slippers. Suggest hotel provide 1 hard and 1 soft pillow. My eyes got swollen in the morning because of the soft ones. Toilet flush is powerful and bidet powered. A deposit of Y500 is required upon check-in. Upon check-out, staff will inspect room before returning the deposit. We paid in cash. Payment by card will require some time to get refunded. Window can be open. No bathrobe and shoehorn provided. Room 3308 door is creaking loudly. Needs oiling.

Because of business delay, I stayed in this hotel for three weeks. I am very satisfied with its cleanliness, the friendly staff, and their nice breakfast with both local specials and western choices. When I arrived, I only booked for one night. Following my online booking request, they gave me a quiet room on the 6th floor with a side view to the streets, so that it is less noisy than the rooms facing the street but still has a few to the city. The breakfast was very impressive. It offers both local specials (such as 重庆小面) and western foods (such as croissant, coffee, cereals, and once a while pizza). I love the daily green leafy veggies and sautéed dishes, which is very good for international travelers because of the jet-lag. They even had fish several times during my stay. Furthermore, Chongqing is a place famous for its spicy food and there are fewer choices for non-spicy foods in local restaurants. Their breakfast offers a lot of non-spicy choices, which is another plus. The mattress and pillows are super comfortable, and I didn't have any discomfort on my neck and back. It is very easy to get a taxi on the street by the hotel, if you don't or cannot order a taxi online. My only small criticizing is its location to the Guanyinqiao pedestrian shopping area (观音桥步行街). The hotel does has a nice and central location, but the street of the 10min walk to the Guanyinqiao shopping area is pretty narrow and hilly. However, you could take a taxi instead. The location to the closest light rail (轻轨) station is about 4-5min walk. Overall, I am happy with my stay in this Hilton Hampton.

The Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei is located right within the Old North Hot Spring Park, a place famous for its 'Ba Mountains Night Rain' and as the 'Homeland of Hot Springs.' It's a must-visit, especially for the ancient North Hot Springs, which is surrounded by lush greenery and a thousand-year-old hot spring temple. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which made access a bit inconvenient. Right outside, there's a small stream where children can play in the water and catch crabs, which they absolutely loved. The hotel breakfast offered a good variety of options. For lunch and dinner, we dined at Tianxing Town, right opposite the hotel. Most restaurants there served similar fare. However, I'd strongly advise against a place called 'Nongjia Cai' (Farmer's Dishes). Their ventilation was terrible, making it very smoky and unpleasant to eat. On top of that, they charged a 4 RMB seating fee even for our 3-year-old, a charge that none of the other restaurants in the area imposed.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Chongqing and overall had a good experience. The biggest positive is the location. The hotel is within walking distance of Jiefangbei and Hongyadong, with easy access to the metro, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The views around the area are fantastic, especially at night. Check-in was straightforward and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and provided a good start to the day. The room was comfortable and generally met our expectations. However, on the morning of our tour, the sink pipe failed and leaked significantly, making the sink unusable when we were trying to get ready for an early departure. This was inconvenient as we could not properly use the sink for washing or brushing our teeth before leaving. To the hotel's credit, the issue was repaired while we were out later that day and did not affect the remainder of our stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its excellent location and good value, but the maintenance issue prevents me from giving full marks.

My kids went to Chongqing for spring break, and Chongqing really is an 8D magical city. We were exhausted from exploring every day, so it was great to come back to a comfortable and relaxing hotel environment. A special shout-out to Jackie, who communicated with us in advance about our needs and made sure everything we requested was prepared. Xiao Tang was also wonderful; she reminded us that we could contact the hotel directly for anything we needed. Qi Feng, from the lobby security team, was exceptionally helpful. My mom had to leave a day early by herself, and he not only helped her with her luggage but also called a taxi for her. The swimming pool staff deserve huge praise too! My kids basically went swimming every day, and we adults didn't even need to supervise them. They were incredibly responsible, constantly keeping an eye on the children, which allowed us to get some much-needed rest. This is my first time staying at this hotel chain based on a recommendation from my sister in law. My experience was definitely top notch. First the hotel and dinning staff were great, especially with one of the hotel managers, Yunfei Zheng. While our room was great but we shared with him about our wish to have more shelf space for clothing. He went out of his way and find us a room with more shelf space. We didn’t end up changing the room but the gesture was definitely appreciated. Also our relatives came to visit us at the hotel and he was very accommodating with parkings for them at the hotel since we didn’t have a car ourselves. The staff at breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant were really nice. They even remember my breakfast coffee of choice and brought that to me. We reserved a banquet room at the Cantonese restaurant and the staff there were marvellous with their service and professionalism. The only minor improvements I would suggest is the air ventilation in the room. It was muggy and when I inquired, they said the central air doesn’t work properly in the winter and then bought us a portable fan to rectify the situation and suggested us to open the window. I was surprised a resort this nice doesn’t have this situation fixed or at least communicated with us when checked in. The other improvement is the coffee bar at the lobby. They were fine but just not as friendly as the rest of the hotel staff. I noticed they didn’t greet anyone until we come up and have no smiles. I found that to be surprised since the rest of staff were so great and they didn’t have the same standard. Otherwise, everything was great!  Will definitely stay here again!

One of my family members got injured, and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite when we checked in. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The staff also helped arrange our other room close to the suite, which made it easier for us to stay connected. The twin room we booked at first had a bit of a smell, but the hotel quickly helped us change to another one next to the suite the next day. There’s a connecting door between the two rooms, which was really convenient. Thank you so much for the upgrade and thoughtful service!
