I chose the Ramada Encore in Guanyinqiao for my business trip to Chongqing this time, and it generally exceeded my expectations. The location is incredibly convenient. The hotel is right in the heart of the Guanyinqiao commercial district. It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station from downstairs, making it effortless for meeting clients, dining, or shopping. After work in the evening, I could even stroll out for some hotpot, which is super friendly for business travelers. I was given a business king room, which was spacious enough. The desk was large, power strips and USB ports were conveniently placed, and the Wi-Fi speed was fast. The soundproofing was good; I barely heard any noise from the corridor, so I slept very soundly. The linens and bathroom were clean, and hot water came quickly, which is very important. The front desk staff were highly efficient. Both check-in and check-out were smooth, and they even proactively helped me extend my stay until 2 PM. For breakfast, the highlight was the Chongqing noodles and freshly ground soy milk, which perfectly captured the local flavor. I ate them for two consecutive days without getting tired of them. This hotel offers unbeatable value for money. I will likely book it again on my next business trip to Chongqing.

For my trip to Chongqing, I chose to stay at the Hilton Lianglukou, and overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Yuzhong District, right next to Lianglukou Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and the local Chongqing noodles were authentic and delicious, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The hotel's facilities were excellent, with a heated swimming pool and a gym that were both fully operational, providing great opportunities for relaxation and exercise. The front desk and concierge staff were professional and attentive, making the check-in process efficient and smooth. Although it's an established five-star hotel, it's well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The conditions here are excellent. The room is very spacious and comfortable, with three windows on two sides. They provide so much complimentary bottled water that I couldn't even finish it all, and they thoughtfully placed two bottles in the fridge. The bathroom, shower, and sink are all separate, which is very convenient to use. The bedding is clean and hygienic, soft and skin-friendly. The mattress is soft and thick. Overall, the service was also very satisfying.

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The room facilities are complete and the hygiene is quite good. It's an old-school five-star hotel. The Elemental Herbology toiletries are excellent, and the pool and hot spring experience were also good, though the women's hot spring facilities were out of order. One thing to complain about: the room was full of items for sale, with vending machines everywhere. It felt really cheap having a bunch of tagged products all over the room. Breakfast was great, with a rich selection. However, the slippers provided in the room are very slippery if there's water on the bathroom floor, making it easy to fall. I honestly would prefer plastic slippers, at least they're safe. I hope this can be improved. Also, we booked two rooms and were told one was upgraded. One room on the 23rd floor was upgraded to a scenic room on the 24th floor, while the other remained on the 23rd floor... There was no difference between the two rooms. This is the first time I've seen such an upgrade method, it's quite frustrating.

My overall experience at Chongqing Yaqi Hotel (Jiefangbei Qixinggang Branch) was outstanding. The service was excellent; the front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and they responded promptly to my WeChat messages. They even returned an item I left behind after check-out, which was a thoughtful touch. As for the facilities, my river-view room had floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Yangtze River, complete with smart lighting and a scenic bathtub. The rooftop infinity pool offered clean water and a stunning city skyline backdrop – perfect for photos. The laundry room and complimentary parking were also very convenient. While the food wasn't a lavish feast, the authentic Chongqing noodles for breakfast were delicious. This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

The hotel offered a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room for Ctrip Black Diamond members, which was a lucky stroke given the room availability; the room was very spacious. The hotel is just a three-minute walk from Jiefangbei, surrounded by many shopping malls and subway stations. The only downside is that taking a taxi can get stuck in traffic. There's also a mall downstairs with a good selection of high-end and mid-range restaurants. The hairdryer in the room was a bit old and difficult to switch on. There were no bed rails for children's beds. One day we heard that breakfast ended at 10:30 AM, but on our last day, when we went at 10:30 AM, we found out it ended at 10:00 AM that day and only managed to get two packed bread boxes. Perhaps breakfast ends at 10:30 AM on weekends and 10:00 AM on weekdays. We stayed for four days. The hotel didn't provide clear enough notifications to guests about the breakfast times. We tried the Napoleon pastry downstairs, which had high reviews online. At 20 yuan per slice, the price was very reasonable, but the taste was just average.

My stay at the Sheraton Chongqing Hotel was a truly wonderful experience, and I'd like to specifically commend staff member Yoyo. Whenever I had a question during my stay, she was incredibly responsive, gentle, and thorough. She handled everything efficiently and always put the guests' needs first. The hotel room was spotless and bright, and the riverside view created a fantastic atmosphere, making for a very comfortable stay. I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property.  Everyone was so nice and kind.  The service was top- notch.  The amenities were plenty and easy accessible.   A few extras that made everything worth it were the full- sized refrigerator, with freezer, the washing machine (for which they provided soap as well), dish washer, stove top, towel drier ( in the washroom) and full sized closet.  The view was so beautiful and calming as well.   Everything about this room was just so nice and exactly what I needed.     I didn’t realize how perfect the location was in relation to almost everything that I wanted to see.   When I figured that out, I just got up every day and walked to everything that I needed or wanted to see.   It was extremely close to a lot of restaurants, malls, local shops and smaller attractions.  I was less than a 10 -15 minute walk to Raffles City Shopping Center where there is a 5 story mall, Movie theatre, roof top attraction with the swing,  SKY WALK and also the river front park with amazing views.  Same distance for Hongyadong, the viewing platform, the Qiansemen Bridge- if you wanted to walk across the bridge at night- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  There is so much to see and experience between the hotel and these attractions.  Your days will be filled with fun and adventure.    If ever I have the opportunity to come back to the city, I will very excited to repeat this experience.

The room was great, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They even upgraded our room for free and extended our check-out to 4 PM because our flight was delayed. They also proactively came out from behind the front desk to help us with our luggage. On our first day, we left a note in the laundry room asking them to dry our clothes and hang them back in our room because we were rushing out to explore and worried we'd be back late. To our surprise, they actually did it! Super impressed! The hotel is very close to Guanyin Bridge, and the metro station is also conveniently located. The street food BBQ across the street tasted better than the folk bar we went to later that night. There's also a Fenghua Hotpot behind the hotel that Wang Hedi visited, which is absolutely delicious and super popular – if you go too late, you'll have to queue.

Definitely not recommended on WARM DAYS because the hotel will turn off AC completely. I stayed at this hotel from 5/8 to 5/11, In-room HVAC only worked on daytime when outdoor temperature reached about 30 degrees, in room temperature was cooling down and comfortable enough. However, the hotel shut down AC system at night because outdoor temperature is not hot enough, that leading to in room temperature went back to 27 degrees, I got totally sleepless. Understood the hotel tried to save money on electricity, but AC system is the one of basic amenity systems and should not shut down the mostly of the days. Moldy grout, moldy caulking are all around the shower, the picture attached. Non adjustable shower head with fixed holder need upgraded. That shows lack of the maintenance for rooms. Room attendant provided great service she could and made me feel comfortable and welcome. All failures are belonging the management related to budget control.

It's close to Xiahaoli, Longmenhao, and the Yangtze River Cableway, and also very convenient for visiting the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall and the Anti-Japanese War Heritage Museum. The room is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, even featuring a bathtub. The single bed is very wide, and the mattress has a comfortable firmness. The front desk service is excellent, and a robot can deliver takeaways to the room. The old noodle shop and Heji Baochao near the hotel are both great.

The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout. Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair. Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. The room was really nice, with a huge bed. The private hot spring filled up quickly with thermal water. Xiao Zhang at the front desk was very welcoming and check-in was smooth, with great service. After a late-night soak, I called for room service at midnight and the bathrobes were delivered promptly. The lamb hot pot in the set meal had a generous amount of lamb and offal. The breakfast buffet was much more abundant than standard, and the pea and ground pork noodles were especially delicious. Nanquan hot spring is right across from the hotel, so the location is excellent.

This hotel boasts excellent, brand-new facilities, including a restaurant, bar, and rooftop garden. The decor is elegant and unique, creating a delightful, clean, and pleasant environment. All staff members are incredibly polite and welcoming, providing attentive service and guidance that made us feel right at home. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary room upgrade, free breakfast, and a two-hour late check-out. The breakfast spread was diverse, exquisite, and catered to all tastes, truly demonstrating their thoughtful service. Although the hotel is located within an older commercial building, the hotel floors themselves are spotless and modern. Access requires a key card, ensuring good security. While there were many children on our floor, with laughter audible in the hallway, the soundproofing in the room was excellent, providing a quiet environment for rest. Being on a higher floor, the views were fantastic, offering panoramic sights of the surrounding commercial area. The location is also incredibly convenient, very close to Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street and the subway station, and only a twenty-minute drive to Chongqing North Railway Station. Despite the reasonable price, every aspect of our stay was thoroughly satisfying. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Liangjiang New Area!

Traveling with my dog to Chongqing, I stayed at the Westin Jiefangbei. Its prime location in the heart of Jiefangbei made shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The high-altitude panoramic views were stunning. As a pet-friendly hotel, the check-in process for my pet was smooth after prior communication. The room was well-maintained, and having an underground parking lot was a huge plus for self-driving. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local Chongqing specialties. The guest ambassador was very responsive and handled requests efficiently. My only minor disappointment was the lack of luggage assistance upon arrival, which was a slight deviation from the brand's expected service. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely consider returning to this hotel on my next trip to Chongqing.

We had a wonderful stay at Niccolo Chongqing and it was exactly the kind of comfortable and refined experience we needed during our trip through China. Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and had a spectacular view over Chongqing’s skyline. We particularly enjoyed being able to come back to such a peaceful and relaxing environment after exploring the city. The spa and sauna were also a great addition and made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, with a beautiful selection of both Chinese and international dishes. A special mention goes to Chef Francesco Sanna, who took the time to introduce and explain some of the wonderful dishes available at breakfast. We also really enjoyed our conversations with him – his warmth and enthusiasm made our mornings particularly memorable. We would also like to thank Jinx, who was incredibly helpful and responsive through WeChat throughout our stay. She assisted us with several different questions and arrangements and was always available, kind and efficient. Having someone we could easily contact made everything feel effortless. Overall, what stood out was not only the quality of the hotel, but the genuinely warm and attentive service. After travelling through several cities in China, Niccolo was one of the places where we felt most comfortable and well looked after. We would happily stay here again on a future visit to Chongqing and highly recommend it.

The room was quite spacious, with a low table by the window and a bay window, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. It was very comfortable. The bedding was also very comfortable, with soft duvets, though I did spend quite a while trying to figure out the bedside lamp, haha. The bathroom and toilet were in separate spaces, with the sink outside, all three being independent, which was incredibly convenient and a huge plus! Many other hotels don't offer such a thoughtful layout. The reception isn't on the same floor as the guest rooms, and there's a dedicated lounge area where you can work, read, or watch shows. The room's soundproofing was good; I didn't even hear the heavy rainstorm outside last night. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and even gave us two bottles of water for our journey when we checked out, which was a very thoughtful touch. You can also store your luggage at the front desk. The hotel is situated in a tranquil area surrounded by schools, museums, and memorials, making for a beautiful environment. It's accessible from two subway stations, and there's a police car on duty right downstairs, as well as security guards, so it feels very safe. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Chongqing, especially with many historical 'red' attractions nearby, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the rooms are all on higher floors with great night views, which should have made for a very pleasant stay. However, around 7 PM on August 29th, I was interrogated and treated with discrimination by the front desk staff in the hotel elevator. First, the hotel elevators require a room card to operate. Our group of six or seven people had already entered the elevator, pressed our floor, and as the doors were closing, the hotel lobby manager reached out and stopped the closing doors. He questioned us about where we were going. Even after we explained we were returning to our rooms, he didn't lower his hand until we showed him our room cards, only then did he let us go back to our rooms. I immediately communicated with the hotel about this incident, and they informed me it was a normal operational procedure. But why were other guests not questioned? Only we were interrogated, which means it's not a communication issue, it's discrimination! It's gender discrimination and group discrimination. Furthermore, this behavior violates consumers' basic right to fair transaction. I suggest the hotel strengthens its training on consumer protection laws. During the communication, the hotel claimed that because we brought a paper item measuring 0.2m x 0.5m back to the hotel, and hotel regulations state such items are not allowed, they specifically came to confirm. May I ask which Marriott group policy explicitly states this? Or which hotel policy explicitly states this? Or was it just the lobby manager's personal behavior?? After reporting this discrimination issue at the front desk, I was told that the resolution would be communicated within 2 days. Today is already the 3rd day, and I have still not received an explanation/apology from the hotel regarding the gender and group discrimination issue. I have only received a comforting response from Ctrip's customer service regarding this matter. The hotel is great, but the service team's disrespect towards young female customers is concerning. I hope other women consider this carefully before choosing this hotel.
