I had a pleasant stay at Grand Park Kunming. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and transportation, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere after a full day of sightseeing. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with any questions. Overall, Grand Park Kunming offers excellent value, comfortable accommodations, and great service. I would happily stay here again when I return to Kunming.

The service here is fantastic, even better than newer Holiday Inn hotels, truly five-star standard. While the facilities are a bit dated, some of the amenities are on par with established five-star hotels. The location is excellent, right in the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere. I also appreciate the suite upgrade!

I rarely write reviews unless a hotel is exceptionally good or utterly unbearable. This hotel is absolutely amazing!!! On our first day, our room wasn't ready yet, so the front desk sent us to the executive lounge on a higher floor to relax and wait. The lounge offered drinks, coffee, homemade yogurt, tea, cookies, nuts, and dried fruits – all delicious! The lounge staff were also very welcoming and informative. On the morning of our departure, my child couldn't wake up for breakfast. When I spoke to the restaurant staff, they immediately arranged a takeaway box with food, fruit, bread, eggs, and yogurt – so thoughtful! At check-out, the front desk even gave us a box of fresh flower pastries. They didn't even push for a good review; it was incredibly heartwarming. I'll definitely stay here again next time. The transportation is excellent too; it's a 10-minute walk from Kunming Station, and the subway is just a few minutes away. The hotel's bellboys are also very enthusiastic, always proactively helping guests with their luggage when getting in and out of cars! The rooms are spacious and upscale. Absolutely fantastic!!! What could be improved are the bathroom's ventilation and drainage systems, and perhaps adding a night light.

I originally booked a hotel near the South Station, but the strong renovation smell was unbearable, so I immediately fled to the Crowne Plaza. To be honest, the facilities in the room are a bit dated, but this place wins on convenient location, spacious rooms, and excellent service. And a huge shout-out to the Chinese restaurant on the fourth floor! Aren't hotel restaurants supposed to be super expensive with service charges? I was surprised to find a group-buying set menu for only a few dozen per person. It's a fantastic collection of specialty dishes from all over Yunnan, and a 5-6 person set was enough to stuff seven people, with leftovers! Plus, the service was incredibly polite and attentive!

While the hotel room facilities are a bit dated, with old carpets and a slightly cramped bathroom with only one sink, the strong water pressure made for a comfortable shower. The air conditioning was just okay, and the soundproofing was decent. As an older five-star hotel, Wanda Vista truly shines in its service. Front desk manager Mr./Ms. Yang was kind and friendly, helping us arrange an extended stay and providing excellent advice and assistance with our Yunnan travel plans. The front desk is often a guest's first impression, and we're very grateful to Mr./Ms. Yang for starting our stay off so well. The restaurant's breakfast offered a good variety, and the taste was acceptable. The breakfast staff were incredibly sincere and service-oriented in their greetings and assistance. I even noticed one or two pregnant staff members in the breakfast area who were still meticulously and efficiently going about their work. The executive lounge didn't have a huge selection of dishes, but everything was fresh and replenished promptly. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly, and the room was kept clean. The hotel's location is super convenient. Overall, it's definitely worth another stay.

Facilities: A bit old, but generally pretty good. The bed is neither too soft nor too hard. The duvet is fine with the AC on, but it can get a bit warm without it, given Kunming's large temperature variations. There's a small garden and an outdoor hot tub, but apparently it's not usable. It's very photogenic though! The living room and bedroom are separate, which is great for families or multiple families staying together as you can chat comfortably. There are also seating areas in the room corridors where you can relax and talk. Being inside the scenic area, the courtyard rooms are quiet. Other room types might be a bit noisier. At midday, it can feel quite bustling outside with traffic and vendors calling out. The courtyard suites, however, are not noisy at all. The location is in the Jinbi area, not far from Nanping Old Street. Just cross a road and walk through Nanping Hui, and you're in a commercial area. For food and drinks, there are snacks right downstairs, though not many main courses. I think the options across the street are better. The hotel breakfast is à la carte and needs to be ordered a day in advance. We tried it one day, but after that, we opted for takeout or ate out. The hotel service is quite good. They have a butler service, and the staff's attitude is very pleasant. When we had a delay, they helped us coordinate a later checkout. For transport, since it's within the scenic area, you'll probably need to walk a bit after getting off the car. However, you can also have your car drive to the parking lot, and there's an elevator near the exit that takes you up.

Beautiful hotel. Bed was comfortable with full pillow selection! Bathroom had separate shower and bath tub. It is connected to a mall and easy walk to alot of wonderful food and shopping which was helpful when it was raining. We truly appreciated the desk staff. My husband had left an item on the train. They contacted the station on our behalf and helped to find it and arrange for us to pick it up. This was only a connection to our next destination but it was a welcomed stop. Definitely explore! We found the most wonderful bakery by walking aimlessly while enjoying the city views.

It's so comfortable to sunbathe during the day and enjoy the breeze at night. The place is cleaned very diligently, and the bedding is fresh and odorless. The hotel is located in the old city, within walking distance of Old Street and Shuncheng Shopping Center. There are bars, coffee shops, and art galleries nearby. The room is spacious and well-equipped, and there's a self-service laundry room with washers and dryers on the 7th floor, which is very convenient. The breakfast selection was limited and the taste was average. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful when answering questions, but when I checked out with a lot of luggage, no one offered any assistance.

Cuihu District Kunming|1.6km from city center
Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch. The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel. The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel. Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere. The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch. Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

The hotel garden is lovely, and you can see Xishan Mountain from the third floor, though it's not very large. The room amenities are just average. The Yunnan specialties at breakfast were quite good, but the Western pastries weren't great. I booked two garden view rooms for three nights each. The butler upgraded us to the fourth floor, but gave us two rooms that were far from the elevator and had balconies facing the main road. After some discussion, the butler offered to change one room to a better view, but considering my two elderly parents are 80 and repacking their luggage would be too much hassle, we decided not to switch. Later, the butler did send some milk and desserts, but that's a service usually offered by five-star hotels anyway. To my surprise, the faucet started leaking from the bottom when I was washing my face for a bit longer at night. With only one night left, I just decided to bear with it. This hotel really isn't good value for money; out of all the hotels I've booked, this was quite a mistake on my part.

This is a really lovely hostel! It has its own charming courtyard, a coffee shop, and a restaurant. Honestly, it's a significant improvement over the so-called 'great food' at Chishan02 in Chongqing, which I stayed at previously. The hostel organizes regular weekly activities, and there are always a lot of international guests, which is great. The location is absolutely unbeatable, and the layout is really well-designed. The hotel boasts an excellent location right by Dianchi Lake. You can walk through the nearby Haigeng Convention Center directly to Haigeng Dam. To the right, there's a pier where you can take a boat, and there are many restaurants as well. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and proactive, greeting us and offering to help with luggage. The front desk even provided complimentary children's breakfast and a late check-out. The breakfast spread was extensive, and there was an evening performance in the lobby. The room was very comfortable, and we even had squirrels visit our balcony! The only downside was that our room was quite far from the main area; buildings 5, 6, 7, and 8 only have one elevator, so it was a long walk every time we left or returned to our room.

I spent a long time choosing a hotel for our trip to Kunming because I wanted somewhere that would keep the kids entertained, but also be suitable for celebrating our wedding anniversary and a birthday. I chose this place primarily for the bathtub in this room type and its convenient location. However, once we arrived, I was truly impressed by how comprehensive the amenities are. From meals to entertainment, and catering to both children and adults, everything is taken care of. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. The biggest surprise was the handwritten birthday card – in this digital age, a handwritten card really warms the heart. We booked two nights, and we didn't even leave the hotel for one of them; we spent the entire day there with the kids and never got bored. My children are already talking about coming back again.

The hotel is located right by Dianchi Lake, with separate lanes for vehicles and pedestrians. There's an observation deck not far from the hotel, and it's about 800-900 meters to Haigeng Park and Haihong Wetland. However, you still have to walk further to get to the cable car station, and I estimate the dam is even further – I didn't go there. The hotel is 2.3 kilometers from Xingti Road Station on Metro Line 5. Our package included one complimentary drop-off service to the metro station, which was really good. It would be even better if they offered round-trip shuttle service to the metro for backpackers. However, there aren't many shops around the hotel. For dining, it's either the hotel restaurant or ordering takeout. Park 1903 Commercial Street is about 3 kilometers away, so it's more suitable if you have a car. The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and drivers were all incredibly gentle and friendly. The manager even proactively helped us with our luggage. The hotel is quite understated; in fact, the observation deck not far away offers amazing sunrise views, but they never promote it.

I ordered takeout, but the hotel doesn't allow the deliveryman to deliver to the room because it was inconvenient for me, so I asked the front desk for help, and it was delivered to the room very quickly. When I asked the reason, the front desk guy told me that it was for the safety of the guests that the deliveryman was not allowed to go upstairs. The hotel has trained guests that if they need takeout to the room, they can help deliver it. The overall feeling of the hotel is good, and the service attitude is very good. When I checked in, I asked about the surrounding attractions and routes, and they explained it very patiently. The room internet connection was very fast, and I asked the waiter, who told me that each room has an independent dedicated line. The room feels clean, and you can swim, exercise, and take a hot spring bath. Since I had a lot of fun, I didn't have time to take a few photos of the hotel. I will take more photos after I check in next time.

It is definitely more wedding venue, more local oriented, very nice territory around, good for photoshoot and stuff , nice and friendly staff helped me a lot, but it was a bit confusing in general, like i booked it cause of hotsprings and outdoor pool, turns out you cannot use the outdoor pool and from all hot things was working only one stone bath. So basically we ended up in a very strange situation when 3 groups of people have or to wait in line to that bath or seat on each other. However Indoor pool was nice, big and clean, but bring your towel. The room itself is ...let's say not cosy and a lot reminded a changing room, probably cause of sink right next to the bed. So sum up, good place to have fun, massage, spa say, nice photos and so on, but maybe not a best place to stay for tourist.

The service is excellent; the 24-hour complimentary laundry service, where they wash, fold, and return your clothes to your room, is incredibly convenient and a real time-saver. The downside is that the room is quite small. The lake-view room I booked barely offered a view of Cuihu Lake, so there's no need to specifically book a lake-view room. However, considering the location and price, it's acceptable. The only major inconvenience is the transparent pull-down curtain in the bathroom, which offers absolutely no privacy when two people are staying. I hope the hotel can replace it with a curtain that actually provides proper遮挡 (obscurity/privacy).

The location is super convenient, close to many attractions. Cuihu Lake, for example, is just a 10-minute walk away. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby, from coffee and desserts to rice noodles. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Colorful Yunnan Paradise Kunming|29.69km from city center
My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Kunming Dianchi (Gudian) was absolutely fantastic, earning a full five-star rating thanks to the incredibly attentive and thoughtful service! Before my trip, I had a lot of luggage, so I shipped some larger items to the hotel in advance. Clove proactively coordinated with the concierge to ensure they were handled properly. On the day of my departure, I had an early flight and didn't have time to eat in the restaurant. After I communicated my needs to Clove, she very kindly helped coordinate with the restaurant to pack a simple and portable breakfast. The variety was well-balanced and convenient for eating on the go, perfectly solving the problem of not having time for a meal while traveling. Overall, the hotel environment is excellent. The Gudian-style garden landscape is beautiful and pleasant to look at. The rooms were clean and tidy, with great natural light and ventilation, making for a very comfortable stay. From the careful handling of my pre-sent luggage to the thoughtful packed breakfast for my early flight, the staff responded quickly and handled every request impeccably. I felt the attentive and thorough service everywhere, which completely exceeded my expectations. Whether it's a family vacation or a short trip, this hotel is an excellent choice. The next time I visit Kunming, I will definitely choose to stay here again!

Century City area Kunming|8.51km from city center
Honestly, this hotel's rating is definitely underestimated. It's a traditional, established five-star hotel. We got a free room upgrade, and the room was very spacious. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are all high-quality. The hotel also has a large parking lot and lobby, and the breakfast area is huge with a wide variety of options. I've stayed at Century Golden Resources in Chongqing, which is a renowned hotel there. I'm not sure why it seems to be perceived as lesser in Kunming; it's severely underrated. They offer free umbrella rentals, and there's a huge shopping mall nearby, making everything very convenient. The best part is that the prices didn't even go up during the May Day holiday, which is incredibly fair. The only drawback is that they are currently undergoing renovations, so it's a bit noisy during the day. However, we were out exploring during the day, so we mostly avoided the noise. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

This hotel is great with excellent service. It also has a swimming pool and gym downstairs. The location is quite close to the airport, and only a few kilometers from Kunming city center, which is very convenient. The hotel's internet and facilities are all pretty good. I'd definitely recommend it.

Tongde Kunming Shopping Center Kunming|4.3km from city center
My elderly parents were visiting Kunming, so I just picked a hotel at random. To my surprise, they insisted I give this place a perfect score! From the moment they walked in, they felt the warmth from the front desk staff, who proactively offered hot coffee and tea. When checking out, they even thoughtfully asked about their stay. The service was truly impeccable. The facilities were great too; strong shower pressure, and the bathroom had a fantastic wet/dry separation. The mattress was just right, not too soft, not too hard. The most unexpected thing was the soundproofing. I assumed it would be noisy given the hotel was fully booked, but once the door closed, the whole world went silent – the soundproof windows are top-notch. They also mentioned the free parking as a bonus, with plenty of spaces and easy in-and-out access. This blind pick of a hotel was such a success, I'll definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is located in 1903, which is very convenient for travel and shopping. The breakfast ingredients are fresh and taste great. The room has good lighting and is very comfortable. There is a self-service laundry room on the second floor, as well as a gym. The service of the front desk and the cleaning lady is also great. It will definitely be the first choice when I come to Kunming next time.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give it a huge thumbs up! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt that meticulous care. The bedding in the room was just right – neither too soft nor too firm – and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very thoughtfully designed. Add to that the staff's professional and prompt service, and it made this trip exceptionally relaxed and comfortable. It's definitely the top choice for both business trips and leisure getaways.

The owner upgraded me to a loft king room. The room was very rustic and had a unique Yunnan charm. Breakfast included rice noodles, soy milk, and various grains. The owner even came downstairs to pick me up. The location is about 790 meters from the old town, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. The conditioner was also really good!

Absolutely perfect! The comfort level is superb, and the price is incredibly good. The experience was fantastic, truly a home away from home. The guy at the front desk was super charming – he could pour drinks, make coffee, and handle check-ins, mastering all the skills! Every evening, they'd bring two complimentary craft beers, which were even better than many pubs. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, both excellent. Crucially, the bedding in the room was really comfortable. The hotel's facilities are great, and the service is super attentive. This hotel adds so much value and definitely enhanced my impression of Kunming!

South Asia Feature No. 1 City Kunming|2.4km from city center
The room was spotless, with great amenities and a spacious balcony. I especially loved the large leather sofa inside the room. It's rare to find a twin room with 1.5-meter beds, and the price was excellent. The breakfast was bountiful, and the front desk staff were absolutely wonderful! They even gave us a small gift when we checked out. This will definitely be my top choice next time I'm in Kunming. It's a reliable chain hotel, true to the Vienna brand!

The location of the hotel can also be near Vientiane City. The hotel is on the side of the road and is easier to find. The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large. This hotel has several floors and dozens of rooms. The sound insulation is too poor. There is also a wooden board and mirror of a cabinet in the next room. The sound of boiling water in the next room was very clear, the sound of opening the cabinet door in the next room was also very clear, and the sound of talking in the next room was also very clear. The sound of bathing upstairs and next door was also very clear, the sound of rushing water. The voice in the corridor was also heard very clearly, the sound of walking in the corridor, the sound of pulling the suitcase, and it was also heard very clearly. On the evening of the New Year's Eve, I called the front desk several times and no one answered. On the second day, I asked the front desk person, and the front desk person said that it was a holiday. No one cleaned on the first day of the New Year, the front desk had to change my room, and I didn't change it. I have stayed in so many hotels. The first time I encountered such a situation, there was no one at the front desk on the 30th night of the New Year. There was no staff in the hotel and no security. There was no cleaning staff on the first day of the New Year. This is not a small hotel, it is also a relatively large hotel, how can this situation occur? I stayed at this hotel for more than ten days and didn't see who the manager of the hotel was from the beginning to the end. In addition to a staff member at the front desk, it was the cleaning person.
