This stay far exceeded my expectations! From the moment we checked in, Rita at the front desk greeted us with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. She efficiently and professionally handled the check-in process and even provided detailed information about the breakfast and gym locations. When I requested a late check-out, Bryant not only patiently arranged it but also explained all the important details. He proactively offered information about transportation around the hotel and its facilities, which helped me settle in quickly and comfortably. The service was truly heartwarming. Upon entering the room, the bed was spotless, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious – absolutely fantastic! More than the hotel's facilities, it was the staff's service that truly impressed me. This trip was exceptionally smooth thanks to your outstanding employees, and I will definitely choose this hotel first whenever I visit Xiamen again.

Once I stepped-in the room, i directly noticed that this hotel itself can be a hotel and alsl can be a resort in terms of view from the window. Xiamen's nice weather and amazing veiw over the lake made my memories unforgettable especially in sunset so that i really had wonderful time at this hotel. Regarding room condition, this hotel is not new hotel, but it is well-maintained and well-managed hotel so that i had no hygiene issue. As for Breakfast, This hotel offers various selection at Breakfast buffet restaurant with tasty hot dishes. Each section was filled with dedicated chef and they were very polite and up for anything for Hotel guest. Overall, well-managed and organized hotel in Xiamen and hope to visit the hotel again.

I arrived at the hotel around 1:50 PM on January 1st. There was a huge crowd checking in, and almost everyone was having trouble getting their rooms. I was also told I'd have to wait until 3 PM to enter mine. It was clear they were understaffed during the holiday, and check-in took quite a while. Once I finally got my room key and went up to my floor, I found the key card wouldn't open the door. Luckily, the staff on the floor were very helpful; they verified my information and let me in. Overall, the check-in experience was extremely poor. Everything else was pretty standard. The room was a bit old, and there were few power outlets, which were also very loose. The option to choose between a soft or firm mattress was a nice, thoughtful touch. However, both the lobby and the elevators had an unpleasant odor, which mixed with the hotel's air freshener was quite off-putting. I didn't try the dining, as Xiamen has plenty of great food options, and ordering takeout is very convenient. The hotel's location is better suited for taxis or driving. The nearby Egret Island is beautiful, and it's quite convenient to get around from here. It's about a 25-minute drive to Gaoqi Airport. Overall, it's decent for the price. The staff were genuinely friendly, but the overall experience wasn't great.

The room exceeded my expectations; the facilities were quite new, and Gulangyu Island was right across. Listening to music on the JBL speaker while enjoying the night view was very relaxing. Turning right out of the hotel, it's a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, where there's a huge variety of food. It's also close to the ferry terminal for returning from Gulangyu Island. The only downside was the elevator setup, which seemed a bit inconvenient; we often had to wait and sometimes squeeze in.

Gaoqi International Airport area Xiamen|7.66km from city center
A great 4 star hotel just 900 meters (about a 10 minute drive) from Xiamen T4 and T5 airports. ⭐️Positive aspects: Probably the biggest win is their airport shuttle service. They have a nice new Buick van (that is bright purple 🟪- so it is pretty hard to miss) and the van can be there within 10 minutes of when you call the hotel or message them from baggage claim. So the transportation is well organized and very efficient. Mr. Li the van driver was very sweet and kind. The hotel room was nice and big and has very cozy carpet and a nice soft bed with good linens. Shower is hot and amenities in the room are thoughtful, including white tea scented 🫖 soaps and shampoo. The breakfast, service, and furnishings are comparable to other 4 star chains in China like Holiday Inn or Hampton by Hilton or Lavande. Breakfast has a nice spread but mostly Chinese and not so western. That said, the food they do provide is high quality and the noodles are great and the coffee is real. I enjoyed the breakfast. ⭐️A few negative points: I liked the art theme in the hotel and they pull it off well. Each room is themed around a famous painting and I was in the Salvador Dali’s “melting clocks” ⏰ The only thing I can complain about is there are moments when the art feels a little cheesy. For instance- the little ash trays at the elevator with sand in them have kid’s decorations that feel a bit more like kids’ zone stuff than professional artwork. Also the shower 🚿 doors are red glass and that felt like more of a playful Kindergarten space than something matching Salvador Dali. Not a deal breaker but an observation. This kind of art theme can be difficult to pull off in China 🇨🇳. The only other small negative is there is some wear on some of the spaces and walls. At the front desk counter I noticed some old looking and chipped areas of the desk. Overall a great choice next to the airport. I would stay here again.

I originally wanted to book a hotel on Xiamen Island, but to my surprise, Qianwen recommended this five-star hotel, and its value for money really caught my eye. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a sea-view room, which was incredibly spacious and spotless. The ocean view from the window was stunning. Directly across from the hotel is a park, and an evening stroll there was lovely with all the beautiful lights. The hotel service was also excellent, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea. Breakfast was extensive, and the freshly prepared congee was particularly outstanding. The only minor drawback is that Metro Line 2 is 1.2 kilometers from the hotel, which is a bit far. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, definitely a 5-star experience!

Stepping into the hotel, we were immediately enveloped in a strong festive atmosphere for the Chinese New Year, with the vibrant red decorations creating a very joyful vibe. The hotel's night view was also beautiful. We arrived in the evening, and it was quite chilly getting out of the car, but as soon as we entered the lobby, a concierge offered us ginger tea, which warmed us right up – truly thoughtful service! The front desk staff were all impeccably uniformed, almost like they were welcoming VIPs, which honestly made us a little shy, haha. There was even a dedicated lift attendant at the elevator, a service rarely seen in hotels, and definitely worth a big thumbs up! The location is also super convenient, with Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road right nearby. There are bus stops and a subway station just outside the hotel. We had booked a windowless room, but the front desk kindly upgraded us to a city view room for free, which had excellent natural light. This stay offered incredible value for money, and the experience was truly fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Clean and tidy, with trees visible from the window, and a small balcony. The young boss was very enthusiastic and helped us take our suitcases to the room. The hotel is very clean. The staff provided excellent service. They contacted me the day before check-in to ask about any special requests and checked in daily to see how my stay was going. All my requests were handled promptly and efficiently – I really appreciate it! The hotel's views are also top-notch. After looking at so many sea-view hotels, I'm glad I chose this one. The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the sea view from the room is unbeatable. If you're looking for a sea view, you can confidently choose a sea-view room here. If I had to pick a fault, it would be that the rooms aren't the newest. However, for an old hotel built in 2006, which was once a state guesthouse, this kind of 'old' actually adds to its unique charm.

Booked a two-night package and was absolutely delighted with the hotel. Shangri-La's usual high standards in terms of facilities and service go without saying. I was here for the Xiamen Marathon, and the hotel is only about two to three kilometers from the starting line, plus they offered a shuttle service, which was incredibly convenient. Runners were allowed a late check-out until 4 PM, and when we returned, there were even recovery packs with bread and pastries – they really understand what runners need! On top of that, the hotel has a kids' play area that's very well-equipped and professional, comparable to paid facilities outside, and my child loved it. It's also just a 600-meter walk to the beach, which is quite handy. My kid has already said they want to come back during the winter holiday. If I get into the Xiamen Marathon again, I'll definitely choose Shangri-La; I've become a loyal fan.

Has customer service in Xiamen really become this competitive? 😂 Indigo's service is now almost on par with Japan's service industry! 😂 Two days before check-in, the lovely concierge, Coco, added me on WeChat to chat and warm up. She even upgraded my room type – wakuwaku! Every day after check-in, she'd check in to see how I slept and if I needed any extra amenities. I almost feel like if I ever come to Xiamen again and don't stay at Indigo, I'd be betraying them, haha! 😂 No need to mention the location – it's directly across the river from Gulangyu Island, and within a ten-minute walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, where you can find Michelin-starred snacks and souvenirs galore. However, to be fair, the hotel is indeed quite old. Although it's well-maintained, the signs of age are definitely there. But the service is so excellent that as long as there are no major hardware issues, I can temporarily overlook these things. I hope the hotel can undergo a complete renovation one day while maintaining this level of service. We will definitely continue to choose and support them in the long run! 🤗

We came here to enjoy the hot springs as soon as the hotel opened. Later, we brought relatives and friends to stay here. We can be said to be their old customers. The exterior environment has been re-designed and renovated this year. The landscape is more beautiful and the layout is more reasonable after the renovation. The service of the staff inside and outside the scenic area is also very warm and thoughtful. The Minnan snacks provided by the hot spring pool bar are authentic and the price is very affordable. Next, let me talk about some shortcomings. Some room facilities need maintenance and updating. For example, the water drainage of the washbasin is not smooth, and the water retaining strip of the shower door needs to be updated in time. I wish you to do better and better, and take all aspects of service to a higher level to give guests a better experience.

We booked a two-bedroom hot spring suite, which was incredibly spacious for our family of four. The room featured a full smart home system; we could control the curtains and lights with just a voice command, which was a real game-changer when looking after the kids! My favorite part was the suite's private hot spring area ✨. After a day of exploring, a soak with the kids was pure bliss. They were absolutely overjoyed, splashing around, and I felt completely relaxed. We then snuggled into the super soft bedding, and the kids fell asleep instantly, giving this tired mom a much-needed break! The guesthouse's 'fairy-tale photo ops' were simply spectacular! Both the ground floor and the rooftop were decked out with popular Instagrammable scenes – swings, flower walls, 'Monet Garden'-style backdrops... it felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and every casual snap turned into a stunning photo 📸. What's more, there was a hidden kids' play area on the ground floor, complete with slides, a mini-kitchen, and more. Our little ones had an absolute blast in there, completely absorbed for hours, not even looking for me! I seized the opportunity to visit the various photo spots myself. It was fantastic – I got to keep the kids entertained AND capture some beautiful memories! The location was also fantastic! Nestled between the mountains and the sea, the guesthouse was just a short walk to the beach. The kids had a wonderful time playing in the sand and collecting seashells. It's also conveniently close to popular Xiamen attractions like Zengcuo'an and Zhongshan Road, making it super easy to go out and explore the local food scene. The service was incredibly attentive. The front desk staff and housekeepers noticed we had young children and proactively offered to help with our luggage and recommended family-friendly routes. The rooftop cafe was another highlight, offering afternoon tea with breathtaking mountain and sea views. It was so wonderfully relaxing to unwind there after the kids had tired themselves out from playing ☕. All in all, choosing this guesthouse for our family trip to Xiamen was absolutely the best decision!

Located near Tonganting Creek, it is quite unique. It was designed by a professional designer and looks very comfortable. The neighborhood is very close to the stream, and the air is fresh. You can go for a walk by the stream in the morning. The first floor is for hot springs and spas, and the second floor is for leisure, tea, parties, and stone slabs. It is very convenient. It is very comfortable to soak in the hot spring and sleep in it. There is also a bathtub in the room. The room is highly automated and very convenient. There is also a swimming pool in the village, which can also be used as fireworks. It is very cost-effective. If you are tired of the noise of the city, come here to relax. Relaxing and experiencing a quiet life is definitely a must. The boss is very enthusiastic and even borrowed his electric car to wander around the village😊

First of all, let's talk about the service. The boss lady is really good. She always smiles and answers all questions! ☝🏻 Before check-in: One day in advance, I said the meals and taboos we wanted to eat (we ordered boiled three fresh, scrambled eggs with leeks, fried meat with chili, bitter melon Wenxuan soup) The boss will purchase fresh ingredients for cooking on the day of check-in. If you book a good meal time, you can eat in the public area or help deliver it to the room. (The ingredients are fresh and taste great~‼️ The little friends who drive and the boss said that they will help to reserve a parking space (it is very convenient in front of the homestay) ✌🏻️ Check in: the friends who stay overnight remember to bring their ID cards. After handling the luggage, the staff will help carry the luggage to take us to the room and then introduce the facilities very seriously. It was really warm to send welcome fruit. Because we came to bring red wine for our birthday, there are three beautiful red wine glasses available at the hotel. 👌🏻 Check-out: The check-out time is 12 noon. We got up late and missed the breakfast at the hotel. The boss lady gave us mineral water and a lot of small snacks. I was afraid of me. We are hungry to cushion our stomachs on the road. It is really a fairy lady. The facilities are very new, clean, the environment is very comfortable, and the privacy is good. Compared with the surrounding homestays, the price is very high, it is recommended! Friends who like to take pictures can bring more clothes indoors and outdoors. 🥰 ps: Because the pillow is really good to sleep and asked the boss lady, I only knew that they used the same model of Atour, the quality upupup!

Everything is great there. Local library, Art, and cultural place next to the sport center. Just wish the lounge was open to 11pm with cocktail option.

Very welcoming and helpful at check-in. Great room and very quiet. Superbly designed hotel with a professionally equipped gym and full 25m indoor pool as well as a small warm pool with hydro massage jets. The outdoor area is spacious with numerous pools. There is direct access to a beach for great running and cycling. Very good quality and choice of food for breakfast. Just outside of the hotel are some very good seafood restaurants.

The hotel location is excellent for family travel with young children. It is just one train stop from the hotel to SM City shopping centre. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food, including both international options and local Xiamen dishes, all of good quality and well worth it. I would definitely return if I travel to Xiamen again.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. There were several English speaking staff members and they were so helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and the cafe has plenty of breakfast options (both Chinese and Western). The internet is fast enough to hold video conferences. The bed is comfortable and if the room is too warm for you, they will provide you with a fan. The only downside is that the pool is closed from 11-4:30. This was disappointing as this is the time a lot of foreigners like to be outside swimming and in the sun.

Top notch service by Langham’s Place Guest relation officer , Ms Pearl. We were warmly greeted by her once we checked in and she went the extra mile to prepare the birthday celebration for my spouse. Upon asking, she recommended several places to dine around the hotel vicinity. When I had a parcel delivered to me, she made sure that I received it too. I’ve met many diligent GROs and concierge in the hotel industry , but none as thoughtful as her. The room is clean and spacious, and the pool is decent. The steam room and sauna looks interesting but I did not try. The breakfast is a wide spread but it’s pretty much the same thing daily. The hotel is next to a mall with many eateries nearby.

Guest Services Manager Veronica provided exceptional service, fluent in English, and was incredibly helpful to us. She introduced us to the hotel's impressive array of amenities, such as the swimming pool, gym, and a stunning 70,000-square-meter garden. Additionally, the hotel rooms were splendid, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The concierge and front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Veronica and the entire team's service was truly remarkable!

Staying at the Xiamen Airlines Golden Egret Hotel was incredibly comfortable – it truly lives up to its reputation as a well-established five-star hotel. The location in the heart of Hubin South Road is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and convenient transport links to all the sights. The complimentary airport shuttle saved me a lot of hassle. The room itself was clean and elegant, with skin-friendly bedding, and the smart amenities didn't feel outdated; you could tell attention to detail was paid. Breakfast offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, with fresh and authentic local snacks. The staff were always pleasant, professional, and quick to respond to requests. The serene lakeside environment was a bonus – a post-dinner stroll along the lake was so relaxing. Excellent value for money, I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xiamen.

Our experience at Jingmin Hotel is fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly with special thanks to one of their staff, Mr. Riley, who went the extra mile to assist my son when he required medical assistance. The location is also very convenient, with lots of eatery nearby and just a short walk to the metro. The room is also very clean with good WiFi.

It seems to be a historic building with convenient parking and an excellent location. The service was quite good; my child overslept and missed breakfast, but they kindly packed a meal for them to take back to the hotel. Zhongshan Road is right behind it, and breakfast was plentiful. However, the hygiene was subpar. I suspect the bedding wasn't changed on the first night, as I was bitten by bugs all night and couldn't sleep. I got several large welts that itched for days. On the second day, I asked the front desk to change all the bedding, and then I finally got a good night's sleep. I hope the hotel takes this review seriously and improves its hygiene. Cleanliness should be the top priority for guests.

The hotel's location is great, with a shopping mall and a supermarket downstairs. It also has its own free underground parking, which is very convenient for guests traveling by car or rental. The room was spacious, with a large open layout and big windows offering nice views. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and my room even had a bathtub, which was perfect for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring. The front desk staff and concierge were very friendly and helpful. Someone even opened the car door for me at the entrance, and they proactively called me when I accidentally left clothes in the closet after checking out so I could retrieve them. Overall, everything was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

I really liked my stay there. I do think it may be harder for foreigners to stay here compared to possibly other options as most workers do not speak English. I found it quite hard to communicate. However, I do recommend it and I personally would stay again. Especially as we overcame the challenges of communication and I was easily able to work with the staff. The bathroom and bed are amazing and I would love to use them again. The airport is only 10 yen away by taxi which is amazing and I honestly would come again.  I added two photos. One of my breakfast and another of the room while I was watching tv.

Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent, and the room design, with its industrial style, was beautiful. The high ceilings were a nice touch, and the soundproofing was good. Since I'm particular about air quality, the staff even brought a dedicated air purifier to my room. Thumbs up! Although there isn't a subway station super close by – it's about a 10 to 15-minute walk – getting around Xiamen by taxi is very convenient, so it wasn't an issue for me. Plus, the breakfast spread was quite generous and tasty. Highly recommended.

We arrived on the island during a torrential downpour and booked a hotel on the spur of the moment. I'd only heard about the unique architecture of the hotel, but after checking in, everything was excellent. The service was especially attentive and responsive. I got caught in the rain on the way in, and the front desk staff provided hot ginger tea. After checking in, I requested afternoon tea, which was also promptly delivered to my room. I'm especially grateful for the laundry service and luggage delivery to the dock, which greatly enhanced my travel experience. The food at the hotel and its own restaurant was also excellent, saving me the trouble of dining out on rainy days. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.
