We arrived at 1:30 PM, only to be told there were no rooms available and we had to wait. Fine, I'll wait. But when I asked when a room would be ready, they said they didn't know, just 'before 3 PM,' with a totally impatient attitude. Finally, at 3:26 PM, they told me a room was ready... Okay, I swallowed that. But then they insisted I provide my infant child's household registration or ID? My kid has been on planes and high-speed trains without needing an ID, why is it different here? I even endured that. The worst part was the staff member's even more atrocious attitude. She threatened me, saying if I didn't show the child's ID, she'd call the duty manager!! Are you kidding me? Am I here to be threatened by you? I've stayed in 95% of five-star hotels all over the world, and none of them have such unique requirements. If your rules are different, can't you just explain it properly? Why threaten guests???? The hotel had its ups and downs. The service was warm and welcoming. I landed early in the morning and wanted to check in ahead of time, so I called the front desk. Langham was the only hotel that allowed early check-in, so I booked it immediately. Check-in was smooth after a taxi ride, but the room cleaning was a bit careless. When I showered, I found a used, torn shower cap from the previous guest next to the decorative fixture in the tub, as pictured. It hadn't been cleaned up. I was a bit speechless. I was so exhausted that morning that I just showered quickly and went straight to bed. The hotel really needs to be more diligent with its cleaning.From£53
