Let me start with the cons. There are limited parking spaces above ground, and the two-level underground garage also has a scarcity of oddly-designed spots. The lanes are very narrow, and my tire was scraped when I drove out after checking out. Now for the pros: The location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Ba Shi (the Eighth Market), the Botanical Garden, and various walking trails. The underground garage door is sensor-controlled, opening and closing automatically, and there are projected indicators on the ground in the lanes, which is a nice touch. The room design is practical, featuring a separate walk-in closet. The two 1.2-meter beds have wheels, making them easy to move. The mattress was the biggest surprise—it's tall, very comfortable, and lives up to five-star hotel standards.

Over the past decade or so, I've stayed at several Marco Polo hotels in various cities, but this was my first time at the Xiamen property. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of Xiamen Island, and it's right next to Yuandang Lake and Citizens Park, with a lovely lakeside fitness trail surrounded by lush greenery. The room amenities are excellent, and the restaurant offers a very rich selection of food, especially the local favorites like Shacha noodles and 'Mianxian paste' (vermicelli paste) – highly recommended!

What a waste of a good location, the service was absolutely disgusting, I'm never coming back! I was traveling with my child and had a reservation. We arrived at 1:30 PM, only to be told there were no rooms available and we had to wait. Fine, I'll wait. But when I asked when a room would be ready, they said they didn't know, just 'before 3 PM,' with a totally impatient attitude. Finally, at 3:26 PM, they told me a room was ready... Okay, I swallowed that. But then they insisted I provide my infant child's household registration or ID? My kid has been on planes and high-speed trains without needing an ID, why is it different here? I even endured that. The worst part was the staff member's even more atrocious attitude. She threatened me, saying if I didn't show the child's ID, she'd call the duty manager!! Are you kidding me? Am I here to be threatened by you? I've stayed in 95% of five-star hotels all over the world, and none of them have such unique requirements. If your rules are different, can't you just explain it properly? Why threaten guests???? Why don't you just call the police and accuse me of child trafficking??? What a joke!!!!!!!!!!

My stay in the sea-view king room during my Xiamen trip was an absolutely fantastic experience, completely rejuvenating and comfortable from start to finish. The hotel's new Chinese-style decor is sophisticated and elegant. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer unbeatable panoramic views of Haicang Bay and the bridge, allowing me to take in the beautiful sunrise, sunset, and dazzling nightscapes right from my bed – every shot was picture-perfect. The room was spacious and airy, the bedding soft and skin-friendly, and the bathroom clean and refined with a large, atmospheric bathtub. The tea set and amenities were comprehensive, showing thoughtful attention to detail everywhere, making my stay feel incredibly blissful. I must give a huge shout-out to our dedicated butler, Bella! What touched me most about this stay was what happened after I checked out. I was already at the airport, about to check in, when I suddenly received a call from the hotel's Assistant Lobby Manager, asking if I had left anything in the room safe. It was then that it hit me – my most important documents and belongings were still in there! While I was incredibly anxious, the Assistant Lobby Manager didn't hesitate for a second. She immediately and decisively arranged for a driver to take my items from the hotel to the airport. In the end, I safely and smoothly retrieved everything without any delay to my travel plans. My heartfelt thanks go out to the hotel's Assistant Lobby Manager and the staff for their attentiveness, honesty, and professionalism. Their proactive and responsible attitude, and their willingness to go above and beyond for guests, has truly changed my perception of your hotel's service. Traveling with a child, they managed to combine the twin beds and upgraded our room type. It was spacious enough for three of us, and we had a very comfortable sleep. The little courtyard by the pool on the first floor was a relaxing spot for a cup of tea. Our child absolutely loved the outdoor pool. We spent most of the first day at the hotel, with adults relaxing and the child having a blast. It was great. There's a small gate from the hotel leading to an underpass, and then you're right at the beach. It's super convenient for watching the sunrise, though unfortunately, it was too cloudy for us that day. The hotel's decor seems quite old; some of the floor tiles and other fixtures show wear and tear, so it's good to manage expectations. However, I highly recommend this for a family trip to Xiamen.

The hotel's service details were truly impressive: the doorman helped with our luggage upon arrival, the front desk thoughtfully arranged a high-floor, sea-view room for us. Special mention goes to our butler, Ms. Yulia, who provided incredibly attentive service. She sent me a guide to Xiamen and helped resolve an issue with breakfast, and even proactively offered a complimentary children's toiletries set. Overall, it's pretty decent. Let's start with the positives: there's a kids' play area, which my child loved. The environment is also quite tranquil, with sea views and a chance to catch the sunrise. As for the downsides, some facilities are a bit old and could use some renovation – don't be so stingy with the budget! The smart light control buttons were sometimes hard to press, and mysteriously, all the lights came on in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. I saw the photo and felt great. I found that some of the photos were not from this one. They were next door. There were drying racks on the top floor. The room had a bathtub. The hot water was opened and the bath ball was sent, but it was not a hot spring. The windows of the room were very large. It was seen that the cars in the parking lot were all in the parking lot. There is also the master waiting for the guests in the car, and I can see the merchant next door, and the passers-by who have been pulling the curtains all the time, otherwise it is really embarrassing. Afternoon tea, I sent snacks and fruits. There are a lot of water on the first floor to replenish. I went to the first floor too early to put my luggage. When the room was ready, I also helped to climb the stairs to get it up. The bed was quite comfortable, the breakfast was wrong next door, because I thought it was the same family, the result was not, and I came back to eat this one. In terms of finishing, it was a bit disappointing at the price of 700.

The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is soft, and the elderly and children sleep very comfortably. In their spare time, parents make tea in the lobby on the first floor, and the handsome boss will accompany them throughout the whole process. Langham was the only hotel that allowed early check-in, so I booked it immediately. Check-in was smooth after a taxi ride, but the room cleaning was a bit careless. When I showered, I found a used, torn shower cap from the previous guest next to the decorative fixture in the tub, as pictured. It hadn't been cleaned up. I was a bit speechless. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with soft and comfortable bedding. Soundproofing between rooms was great, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The front desk concierge, Ms. [Concierge's name, if available, otherwise just 'the concierge'], was meticulous and thoughtful, proactively checking in during my stay and responding promptly to all requests. This truly showcased five-star service warmth. The breakfast spread was rich with a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, it offers great value for money. Xiamen Airlines Golden Egret is definitely my top choice when visiting Xiamen.

Zhongshan Road Area Xiamen|3.13km from city center
My stay at Home Inn Business Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street) was a truly pleasant surprise, and I absolutely have to give it a great review! The hotel's location right near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is perfect; everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping is just steps away. Every stroll offers beautiful scenery, so there's no need to worry about planning your itinerary. The front desk staff were a major highlight – their smiles were so genuine, and they spoke so gently. Check-in was quick and smooth, and they even helped with the proof of stay documents, making me feel well taken care of as soon as I arrived. What touched me most was the cleaning staff. My room was tidied spotlessly every day, and they paid attention to all the little details, even organizing my small personal items. It truly felt like coming home. The overall experience was incredibly comfortable and reassuring. You can really feel the dedication and warmth from every single staff member. Such service is truly rare, and I appreciate all your hard work! I'll definitely be back next time I visit Xiamen, and I'll recommend it to my friends too 👍

My stay at Xiamen Xindongya Hotel was excellent! First and foremost, the service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in and check-out very efficient. They patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions, treating guests kindly and with great approachability. The entire experience felt very comfortable. Secondly, the airport transfer service was incredibly responsive. After booking in advance, they responded promptly and arranged everything perfectly. The driver was waiting on time, making transportation hassle-free and saving me from worrying about my travel plans. What truly deserves special praise is how they handled an issue last night. Upon checking in, the room next door was a bit noisy and disturbed my rest. When the hotel staff found out, they dealt with it incredibly promptly and efficiently. Their attitude was sincere, and they resolved the problem without delay, ensuring my peaceful environment immediately. They showed great responsibility. Overall, the entire stay was perfect. This is a very unique hotel with exceptionally stylish decor. The rooms have high ceilings, so there's no feeling of being cooped up at all. My favorite part is the deck bar downstairs. It's a coffee shop by day and a bar by night. The coffee and various drinks are great during the day, and in the evening, it transforms into a bar with a fantastic selection of craft beers. Definitely a place worth staying at!

We arrived on the island during a torrential downpour and booked a hotel on the spur of the moment. I'd only heard about the unique architecture of the hotel, but after checking in, everything was excellent. The service was especially attentive and responsive. I got caught in the rain on the way in, and the front desk staff provided hot ginger tea. After checking in, I requested afternoon tea, which was also promptly delivered to my room. I'm especially grateful for the laundry service and luggage delivery to the dock, which greatly enhanced my travel experience. The food at the hotel and its own restaurant was also excellent, saving me the trouble of dining out on rainy days. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.
