We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

Staying in a high-floor room on the 43rd floor of the Shangri-La, the expansive 43-square-meter space immediately melted away all my travel fatigue the moment I walked in. As a blogger who frequently reviews hotels, this is one of the hotels I've stayed in that truly understands life and its guests the most. The hook design in the bathroom is a detail that genuinely understands the needs of both couples and independent women. Two hooks side-by-side behind the door, plus one on the side wall, provide a dedicated spot for clothes taken off during showering and clean clothes to change into. This avoids the awkward back-and-forth between the wardrobe and the bathroom. Especially for couples, this is a perfectly thoughtful touch: it maintains private space while allowing for comfort and a touch of mystery in an intimate setting. For solo female travelers, this sense of security – keeping clothes always in sight – is more reassuring than any luxurious amenity. The discreet, built-in retractable clothesline next to the bathtub really hits a core need for all travelers. After long journeys, continuous hotel reviews, or seasonal travel, personal items always need to be washed and dried promptly. Even though many hotels now have laundry facilities, many female guests are uncomfortable with shared facilities due to hygiene concerns. Here, the clothesline is cleverly embedded in the wall. For those of us who prioritize hygiene and want to maintain a refined appearance at all times, this is one of those unspoken but desperately needed details that you instantly fall in love with upon using. The hotel's hairdryer truly shows an understanding of women and details. The insertable fixed design securely attaches to the wall, so you don't have to hold it with one hand and blow-dry with the other. No more tired, shaky arms or tangled cords. The biggest bonus is the volume control, so blow-drying is no longer a jarring roar; even your ears are gently cared for. The dual sink design embodies grace and composure in a relationship. For couples or friends sharing a room, there's no waiting or compromising during morning routines. Each can enjoy their space undisturbed, creating comfort and freedom. This is what high-quality accommodation should be like. The toiletries are incredibly meticulous – not only are all the standard items provided, but even the packaging openings are specially designed. A gentle squeeze easily tears them open, making them extremely friendly for elderly travelers. No need to struggle with tearing or hunt for scissors; this is more heartwarming than any luxurious amenity. The separate dispensers for shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower are the most user-friendly design I've ever seen. They feature a gradient from light to dark colors, so you don't have to squint to read tiny labels. Even elderly travelers can easily identify and use them. This visible kindness from Shangri-La truly wins you over. Reflecting on my entire stay, I felt gently cared for throughout. Careful guidance for parking in the garage, enthusiastic help from the lobby staff with travel questions, the gentle and detailed explanation from the front desk lady 'Sheng Jian Bao' during check-in, and Lisa's warm follow-up from the guest services department upon departure... all made me genuinely feel at home. Shangri-La has always been a benchmark for old-money style. This time, I wholeheartedly endorse it for the subtle gentleness and professionalism hidden in its details. #ShangriLaHotel #HotelReview #LuxuryHotel #CouplesTravel #FemaleTravelerHotel #DetailOriented #TravelAccommodation #SuzhouExploration #HotelEvaluation #OldMoneyStyleHotel #HotelWorthRevisiting

I had a great stay with my family on our trip to western Suzhou this time. The room package was fantastic; from 2 PM to 10 PM, we could enjoy afternoon tea, a simple dinner, and the evening lounge. With kids, we usually head back to rest around dinner time, or if they wake up from their nap, we can still catch afternoon tea before heading out again, which was lovely. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the subway station, just a 5-minute walk away. It's also about a 20-minute walk to Jinji Lake Scenic Area, which isn't too far. There's a supermarket nearby, so dining options are convenient, and it's easy to get to various attractions. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I visit.

I came to Suzhou for Liu Yuxin's XANADU 2.0 concert. I chose Hilton because it's a well-established brand and not far from the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre, which proved to be the right decision. I was very satisfied with the environment, service, and comfort. As soon as I arrived, hotel staff helped me with my luggage from the car, and then again when I got to my room. They also greeted me every time I took a taxi in or out. When I left, they helped with my luggage too. While I feel these services should be standard for a five-star hotel, not all five-star hotels pay attention to these details, so it's great that they maintain this standard! The room was also very comfortable and clean. My concert trip this time was satisfying in every aspect. Seeing my favorite singer perform, falling in love with the beautiful city of Suzhou, and a hotel that met my expectations – I'm very happy!

Upon check-in, we learned that the hotel is surrounded by a lake on three sides, and we hoped to stay in a room with a lake view. The butler, Xiao Song, very thoughtfully fulfilled our request and upgraded our room. The room had a balcony with a fantastic view. Since we hadn't ordered breakfast, the butler even provided a complimentary breakfast – very considerate! The service was impeccable; I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and tidy, with great attention to detail in terms of hygiene. The bedding and toiletries really showcased the quality of a branded hotel. The front desk staff and other employees were all very enthusiastic and considerate of guests, which was a huge plus! 👍🏻 They even gave us a small gift when we checked out, adding an extra touch of warmth to our trip.

I booked a suite for my parents and me for our Chinese New Year trip. The hotel's personal assistant was an absolute angel, providing incredibly thoughtful and warm service. She was very observant. While I was still queuing for check-in, she directed me to a sofa nearby to complete the process and also gave me tips on dining during the Chinese New Year period. InterContinental offers quite a few activities for suite guests, and my parents were very pleased. We were also able to dine at different locations, avoiding the holiday crowds, which made the experience even better. The room was very clean and had no strange odors. The suite came with a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. There were two bathrooms and even a small kitchen/pantry. The view was superb. The only drawback was the walk from the underground parking to the hotel, but that's a design issue and not the hotel's fault.

The hotel's garden environment seamlessly blends traditional Suzhou gardens with modern design, creating a serene ambiance reminiscent of a Jiangnan ink wash painting. Located right next to the bustling Suzhou Center, it offers a peaceful retreat with its 'white walls, dark roof tiles, winding corridors, and lakeside pavilions,' even earning it the nickname 'mini Humble Administrator's Garden.' The hotel lobby boasts an impressive and grand design. Guest rooms incorporate a 'library' concept and are equipped with Dyson hairdryers. The lake-view rooms offer stunning vistas of Jinji Lake at dawn and during sunset. 'Su Mian Fang,' the hotel's noodle restaurant, is highly acclaimed and considered a must-try on any Suzhou food itinerary, with its hairy crab roe noodles being particularly memorable. The Suzhou-style red soup noodles at breakfast are also exceptionally delicious. The hotel's location is excellent, right by Jinji Lake, and within walking distance of Suzhou Center and the Gate of the Orient. This makes it incredibly convenient for both shopping and sightseeing, truly delivering an experience of 'bustling city life right outside your door, and tranquility within the grounds.' The butler service was meticulous and attentive, and the hotel's 'energy station,' offering complimentary drinks and snacks, also left a deep impression on me.

I booked a suite before the Chinese New Year, and for our family of three, being together is what the holiday is all about! When we arrived, the front desk offered us a discounted upgrade and waived the extra bed fee, which was a pleasant surprise! So we upgraded from a city view to a lake view, perfect! The front desk even asked if we preferred more lake view or more view of the Gate of the Orient, allowing us to choose a room with such precision, which was great! After checking in, I was very satisfied with the room's size, facilities, and view, especially the two bathrooms and two balconies. The scenery was truly beautiful, and we even caught two nights of fountain shows. Overall, we were very pleased. Perhaps the suite had just been renovated, as the bathrooms and decor were quite new, and we didn't encounter any issues like outdated facilities or poor soundproofing that I'd seen in other reviews. There was a slight new-decoration smell in the room, but they provided an air purifier, and as soon as it was on, the smell disappeared. Oh, one thing: the air conditioning didn't seem to adjust. On the first day, it was over 20 degrees Celsius outside, and the room temperature stayed at 25-26 degrees, which was a bit warm. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it? My parents went for breakfast early and said the variety was quite rich and the food was delicious. After eating, we took some photos at the hotel, and when it wasn't raining, we strolled around Jinji Lake nearby. In the afternoon, we went to Suzhou Center across the street to shop and have dinner. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

I could have gotten a free room upgrade, but within less than a minute of booking, the front desk attendant said she'd go check, and then came out to say the room type was sold out. I wasn't too happy about it, as I had just seen that room type available the second before. Luckily, the front desk attendant was patient and provided good service. The lobby here is huge, and the environment is very pleasant. Check-in might be a bit slow during holidays. The room facilities are complete, and the bed is very comfortable. They even offered a free late check-out, which was great! 4. The hotel's location is excellent, with very convenient transportation, right next to a shopping center and across from Jinji Lake. It's super convenient. The room facilities are a bit average; the carpet felt a little dirty, and the trash can in the room didn't match the hotel at all. For breakfast, there were too many guests during my stay, and the hotel couldn't keep up with the demand, so we had to go elsewhere to eat, with limited options. 5. On the bright side, the service attitude was good, the hotel style was nice, and parking was convenient.

Got upgraded to a suite with a terrace and a kitchen – so comfortable and practical, I didn't want to leave! Last year when I stayed at the Park Hyatt, I stumbled upon a group of kittens nearby. This time I brought cat food but couldn't find them. I asked the concierge, and it turns out the kittens are still around, living in a secret, more suitable spot, being cared for by kind people. That's so wonderful; the staff's kindness towards stray animals really shows this must be an excellent hotel. Danny from guest relations even sent me photos because he knew I was thinking about the kittens. Is he trying to entice me to come back next time, LOL?

I am very satisfied with this trip. The young couple runs this homestay. They love cleanliness very much, so the room is very clean. The interior design is very simple and generous, yet avant-garde. The toilets in the bathroom are all equipped with automatic ultraviolet disinfection, which is not necessarily possible in many high-end hotels. The beautiful and petite young lady is enthusiastic and capable. She also took many beautiful photos for us and secretly recorded a short video for us, which is very touching. The handsome young man is very efficient, caring, and has good eyesight. When we came, the elderly had difficulty walking and needed to adjust the room. He helped to move all the luggage down. When we left, he helped to help the elderly go up and down the stairs. In today's society, being able to do these things is very touching. The breakfast is also very rich. Although the journey is less than two days, the whole family is very happy, especially the two 85-year-old elderly people. They can't put down the beautiful photos taken by the young lady. This encounter is unforgettable... Thanks again to the two young couples, and I hope they will be successful and their business will be prosperous.

We booked this place very late when we went to Shushan. Upon check-in, we were generously upgraded to a lake-view room. There's a hot spring open at night, not crowded at all, and the shuttle service is on-call, even late at night – excellent! The only thing is, this season, only the pomelo and tangerine trees still have fruit; everything else isn't looking its best. I'm sure the scenery would be amazing in spring or summer! Room service was good; anything we requested was delivered promptly. A male attendant with glasses even noticed that the pillowcase I wanted wasn't very clean and proactively went to swap it for a new one, making two trips. When calling a car to go out, you can set the departure location as the South Gate, near the lobby, which is quite convenient. Also, the complimentary fruit platter was a bit stingy, just three small items – I even wondered if they were left over from the previous guest, haha! Another thing is that both in the hot spring showers and the guest rooms, the hot and cold water labels on the faucets aren't very clear, making them inconvenient to use. Winter will eventually pass; I hope all the staff continue to be enthusiastic and dedicate their passion to the hotel's 'spring'!

I saw some bad reviews on Ctrip. After staying there, I don't really understand how these bad reviews were given. Of course there are areas for improvement, but it's not bad enough to warrant a bad review. advantage 1. The environment is really good. You can take your kids out for a walk without leaving the hotel. There are cycling, camping, playgrounds, and tennis courts. The managers are very nice. 2. Hygiene and services are as expected. 3. I accidentally sprained my ankle, and they provided great help. Every staff member was polite and friendly. Responding quickly, we stumbled upon a staff meeting, and Mr. Chen’s fireworks were very beautiful. 4. The noodles for breakfast are really delicious. 5. Although there is no disposable bath bag, the disinfection work is very serious What can be improved 1. My child had a rhinitis attack and rubbed his nose all night. I also have a sensitive constitution and experienced nasal congestion all night. This is most likely caused by the air or dust mites on the bedding. 2. At the breakfast buffet, only the noodle stall was occupied. 3. The swimming pool environment is relatively cold. 4. The signs after entering the parking lot are not clear enough (turn left or right) and there are many mosquitoes in the right area after entering the parking lot 5. The bathtub plug seems to be out of control, maybe broken, but it is still usable. If I can sleep well, I am willing to stay for many days 1 hour free use of the lakeside tennis court: reservation is very convenient 60-minute travel photography experience (gift: 3 refined electronic photos) 1 copy: The photographer works very hard

Both rooms were on the 18th floor, and the views from both sides of the building on that floor were absolutely stunning. The Lake View room directly faced Dushu Lake, while the Golf King Room offered views of the golf course, the distant Jinji Lake, the Gate of the Orient, the Ferris Wheel, and even the Niccolo Hotel. Whether by day or night, the scenery from either room was equally magnificent. The rooms themselves were very spacious, at 48 square meters, and featured impressive floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel's location is truly exceptional. Downstairs, you'll find Shizishan Station for metro lines 1 and 3. Right across the street is Shishan Cultural Square, where the evening light show is a must-see, and boating on Tian Shi Lake is an absolute thrill for kids. The West Branch of the museum is also within walking distance, so there's no more rushing to find parking or being constrained by time. While we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, there's a Yuxingji and FamilyMart downstairs. Next door, Golden Eagle Plaza has its own KFC, Starbucks, and Chayan Yue Se (Tea's Play). However, my family preferred the somewhat further away Tianjie, where we tried Sushiro, Chef Fei, and Dim Sum De without any queues for the first time. Be warned, the hotel's heating is incredibly strong – my child's thick pajamas became redundant! The underground parking is quite ample, so we never had to worry about finding a spot. The hotel staff, led by employees like Xiao He, were very courteous, and the Japanese-style service was meticulous. Make sure to visit Hanshan Temple and Tianping Mountain (which were complimentary) early, early, early – it's a completely different experience compared to going when it's crowded.

My stay at Hyatt Regency Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The location was convenient, the room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The overall service was professional and incredibly attentive. A special shout-out to Cindy, who was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make me feel at home throughout my stay. I was completely satisfied with everything and give it a five-star recommendation. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou!

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one comes straight from the heart. Our stay at Naked Water in Suzhou was unforgettable—not just because of the breathtaking scenery or the stunning villa with its private pools (yes, both hot and lukewarm!), but because of the people who made our time there genuinely magical. A special thanks to Devin, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to help organize a private in-villa dining experience for my proposal. With the help of Nancy and Adrian—two incredibly kind and thoughtful staff members—they set up a beautifully decorated table inside our villa, complete with fresh flowers, flawless food presentation, and a warm, graceful presence throughout the evening. They even prepared parting gifts for us and were on hand for anything we needed, always with a smile. Their support turned my carefully planned moment into something even more meaningful. I’ll never forget it—and neither will my now fiancée. The villa itself was gorgeous—secluded, serene, and perfectly designed for relaxation. Waking up to the quiet of nature, soaking in the private pools, and spotting the resort’s friendly pets wandering about (yes, it’s pet-friendly!) made the entire experience feel intimate and grounding. This place isn’t just a getaway—it’s where memories are made. We’re already planning to come back for our anniversary. Eternally grateful.

It was a spontaneous trip, and I chose Suzhou because it's the closest city to Shanghai. I picked Marriott because it's near Suzhou Station, which makes it convenient to get to all the attractions! The Marriott Hotel didn't disappoint; I thought it was pretty good! The breakfast was plentiful, and during my stay, three young staff members – Yuki, Gina, and Lion – who are around my son's age, were all very enthusiastic and attentive. Their service was excellent, and it's definitely worth a visit.

This hotel continues to be excellent, just as I remembered. Ever since my first stay in October, I've had a fantastic impression and experience. So, when I came to Suzhou for the 10K Elite Run, there was no question where I'd stay – I booked here directly! Even though the race venue was in North Taihu, quite a drive away, I still chose this hotel, which really shows how much I love it. Before checking in, I called ahead to express my requests, and the hotel met all my reasonable needs, which was very thoughtful. Since my parents arrived at the hotel before me (I came from Shanghai after work), I asked the hotel to help them check in. They were incredibly attentive, showing my parents to their room and even adjusting the air conditioning for them. Truly excellent service. Knowing I might miss the midday check-out time after my race the next day, the hotel proactively offered a late check-out until 2 PM. Very considerate! I didn't have time for breakfast this trip, so I booked a room without it, but their breakfast is fantastic. They even have authentic Suzhou handmade dim sum – highly recommended! Check-out was also great. I was fortunate enough to have the Housekeeping Director or Front Office Manager assist me with check-out, and the service was absolutely top-notch, no complaints there, haha! This hotel will definitely be my first choice for any future business or leisure trips to Suzhou. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel, the location is ideal for traveller with many movings. Railway station is across the road, metro is just 30m from hotel. The room is fully equipped. The condition is not new but not critical. Big advantage is swimming pool, I like swimming in the morning. It starts to work at 7:00, but in fact even earlier. I can recommend it.

This is our go-to spot every time we visit Suzhou, thanks to its excellent location, refreshing showers, and elegant room ambiance. Day or night, the hotel's sign acts like a beacon, guiding us safely and clearly. For these reasons, I really don't want to rate it too low. However, the hotel's facilities are simply not on par with 5-diamond or luxury hotels. The service here is purely transactional—guests check in, guests leave, no fuss, no farewell—which makes it hard to give them high marks!

I am definitely a frequent traveler/stayer/eater, and I have experienced many high-end hotels/boutique B&Bs/boutique restaurants. But this time I want to say: This boutique B&B (inn) is worth my recommendation. 1. The owner of the inn is a famous Suzhou garden designer, so the taste and foundation of the inn are very good. 2. The male and female managers have a good hobby and cultivation of tea art/meditation and meditation, which adds a lot of added value and fun to the inn. 3. In addition to the good breakfast included in the inn, the inn owner will also invite customers to join their private lunch and dinner, which is very authentic Hunan cuisine, which is simply a unique and exquisite dish in Tongli. 4. Warm and warm service and feeling. . . . Of course, other routine services are also very good, so I won’t say more. In short, recommended!

The hotel is in a good location and is very convenient to the subway entrance. The lady at the front desk was enthusiastic and responsible in answering all questions. We drove to the underground parking lot and there was a parking coupon upon check-out. The hotel is right behind Ligong Embankment. The surrounding area is very quiet during the day, so I turned to Jinji Lake. The environment is beautiful!

The hotel service is good. In the previous day, WeChat will be added to communicate about check-in matters, and the surrounding tour routes will be introduced. On the day of check-in, the housekeeper will also take you to the room and send fruits. The service experience is five stars. The interior of the room is not big, the hygiene is good, and the balcony is very wide, which is a plus. There are movies playing at night, and you can lie on the balcony to watch. You can go to the first floor to soak in the hot springs when you stay in the hotel. They are all open-air. There are 5 pools. When there are not many people, it is quite comfortable to soak. The hotel is relatively close to Qidu Wetland Park, which can be reached by walking about 800 meters. The wetland environment is well protected, and there are two twin towers for taking pictures. It is not far from Wujing Old Street. The walking distance is about 1.5 kilometers. When the weather is good, you can walk along the wetland. We drove there for 5 minutes. The old street is short, but small and exquisite, and there are several restaurants in it that taste good. The hotel is generally good, and it is quite recommended to come here to swim in summer!
