Upon arriving at the hotel lobby, a greeter immediately opened the door and helped with our luggage. There were many people sitting on the sofas waiting to check in. The front desk staff, seeing that I had a baby with me, thoughtfully upgraded our room, allowing for an instant check-in without any wait. The room was clean, fresh, and odorless. I called the front desk several times during my stay to ask for items, and they were always delivered quickly. The breakfast was abundant and fresh. If you arrive early, you can get a table by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a koi pond, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery while dining. There were several complimentary services, such as a Qipao/Hanfu photoshoot experience. With the room card, you could enter and exit Panmen (Pan Gate) an unlimited number of times. Inside, there are koi and swans that you can feed, which the children enjoyed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning.

This hotel absolutely elevated our entire trip, making it the perfect choice for a family getaway. What was most heartwarming was the hotel's meticulous service. Our dedicated guest butler, Lisa, was so gentle and attentive, taking care of every detail of our itinerary and patiently responding to all our needs. Her thoughtful and thorough service truly reflected the exclusive quality of a high-end hotel. The hotel's location is superb, situated in the bustling Tayuan Road area and right next to a subway station. This made it easy to visit classic Suzhou attractions like Pingjiang Road and immerse ourselves in the gentle summer scenery of Jiangnan. The commercial area downstairs is well-equipped with everything you need, so we could shop and eat whenever we returned from sightseeing, which was incredibly convenient and stress-free. The room we stayed in was bright and spacious, with plenty of natural light filling the entire space and expansive, quiet views. The independent three-part bathroom design was both scientific and user-friendly, with a clean and tidy wet/dry separation, allowing parents and children to get ready without disturbing each other. It balanced practicality with safety, perfectly meeting the needs of families with children. The hotel breakfast offered a rich and thoughtfully curated selection, blending local Suzhou flavors with diverse Western dishes. The authentic Jiangnan specialty snacks were fresh and delicious, and the dedicated children's dining area had a variety of exquisite and cute options made with fresh, healthy ingredients that suited children's tastes. It was a perfect, immersive stay—comfortable and healing. Next time I visit Suzhou with my child, this will definitely be my first choice again.

However, the grand lobby, spacious parking lot, and large accommodation corridors with an atrium… twenty years ago, this would have been considered excellent. **Service:** All staff wear suits and uniforms and are very polite. After 20 years, the service quality is still top-notch. **Location:** Everything is within walking distance. It's about a 10-minute walk to Xuanmiao Temple and less than 15 minutes to the entrance of Pingjiang Road. **Room Condition:** The facilities are old, but it's very clean. Details like the spotless bathroom, complimentary umbrella, and the neatly folded start of the toilet paper roll (easy to access) all speak to the level of service and management. I even took a close-up photo of the bathroom floor tiles – the cleanliness is evident. Before checking into this hotel, I saw quite a few negative reviews, and the fear of a bad experience lingered. However, the hotel's excellent location was too hard to pass up, so I decided to give it a try. **Overall:** The facilities are outdated, but the service hasn't dropped. It's suitable for travelers who don't seek luxury accommodation. I sincerely hope the hotel gets a renovation soon to welcome guests with a fresh new look.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very logical layout. The sofa and tea areas offered direct views of the outside scenery. It's a shame we only stayed one night; I'd love to go back for a two-night stay when the weather gets cooler. The only minor issue was that the twin beds were a bit high and at 1.2 meters, slightly small. Traveling with my grandma and mom, the beds felt a bit cramped. The bathroom had a single basin, but the bathtub was very comfortable. Room service was incredibly prompt; they even delivered four bottles of water in the morning when I only requested two. Breakfast gets 4.5 stars. The waffles were amazing, and the croissants were excellent, but the Chinese options were a bit lacking. I'd suggest adding some traditional Chinese breakfast items, like Cifan (sticky rice rolls). Also, the tofu pudding didn't come with pickled mustard greens, which isn't very authentic, so I'm deducting half a star for that. The hotel's location is great, close to Moonlight Dock and shopping malls, making it easy to get around even with my grandma. The elevator to the parking lot was quite a distance from the front desk, requiring a bit of a walk.

The hotel has a beautiful garden-style design and is very peaceful. The suite I stayed in offered direct views of Jinji Lake from the window, which was absolutely stunning. The location is also super convenient, right by Jinji Lake and Suzhou Center. For families, the hotel shares the 'Little Captain's Club' with the Crowne Plaza Suzhou. Since my child is quite young, we went to the Crowne Plaza for swimming as the water level there is lower. There's a connecting corridor and a shuttle bus between the two hotels, and the staff are all very polite. The breakfast restaurant at the Tonino Lamborghini Hotel is relatively small, but the food is delicious, and the coffee is good too.

Overall experience: For my trip to Suzhou, I stayed at the Licheng Courtyard Hotel - Shantang Street Garden Branch. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Suzhou-style private garden with pavilions, corridors, small courtyards, and lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. My room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a 5-8 minute walk to the ancient Shantang Street, and very close to Changmen Gate and Shilu business district. It's also incredibly convenient for visiting Beisi Pagoda, Pingjiang Road, and the Humble Administrator's Garden, making sightseeing effortless. Transportation: Upon arriving at Suzhou Station, I opted for the atmospheric waterway entrance: I took the West Line water bus from the south square ferry terminal at Suzhou Railway Station. The boat trip through the moat took 15 minutes directly to Shantang Street North Pier. Disembarking, I was right on the thousand-year-old Shantang ancient street, an immersive start to my江南水乡 (Jiangnan water town) journey. The video shows the hotel lobby. Facilities: Quite new. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Elegant. Dining recommendations (both located in the Shantang Street area): 1. Lunch stop | Panda Hotpot (Shantang Street Branch) This is a unique hotpot restaurant near the scenic area. The Suzhou-style fish soup base is fresh, fragrant, and rich (the tomato broth is also quite浓郁). They also offer special Gusu-style covered-bowl blind box side dishes. It's a great spot to satisfy cravings and warm up after exploring. 2. Dinner choice | Gusu Boat Feast · Shantang River View Suzhou Cuisine The window seats offer direct views of Shantang River at night, allowing you to enjoy the water town's lights while savoring authentic Suzhou cuisine. The Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Osmanthus Braised Pork are genuinely authentic. What's more, noodles and rice are refilled for free, and the noodles are scallion oil noodles! There's absolutely no worry about not getting enough to eat with Jiangnan dishes, and this is in a scenic area! The overall experience is outstanding, especially with the window open on the second floor, which is particularly beautiful. It's definitely worth a special visit.

Had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip with my good friends and their families. Regarding service: Our butler, Cindy, was always online and ready to help. The engineering uncle braved the heavy rain to set up the projector for the kids and greeted us warmly the next day. Xu Chenhao from the activities department was a warm and engaging young man, teaching us kayaking techniques, sharing the resort's development story, and taking beautiful photos for every family. The children's club staff were also very welcoming, inviting us to try out various fitness equipment. Regarding cleanliness: Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Regarding dining: The Chinese restaurant was quite good. However, breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options. By 10 AM, they almost stopped restocking food. Suggestion: Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but then told the third room was locked, effectively making it no upgrade at all. They only reluctantly opened it after we complained. I suggest training the front desk staff on what a room upgrade actually means. It might have been better not to offer an upgrade at all if they weren't clear on it.

I am very satisfied with this trip. The young couple runs this homestay. They love cleanliness very much, so the room is very clean. The interior design is very simple and generous, yet avant-garde. The toilets in the bathroom are all equipped with automatic ultraviolet disinfection, which is not necessarily possible in many high-end hotels. The beautiful and petite young lady is enthusiastic and capable. She also took many beautiful photos for us and secretly recorded a short video for us, which is very touching. The handsome young man is very efficient, caring, and has good eyesight. When we came, the elderly had difficulty walking and needed to adjust the room. He helped to move all the luggage down. When we left, he helped to help the elderly go up and down the stairs. In today's society, being able to do these things is very touching. The breakfast is also very rich. Although the journey is less than two days, the whole family is very happy, especially the two 85-year-old elderly people. They can't put down the beautiful photos taken by the young lady. This encounter is unforgettable... Thanks again to the two young couples, and I hope they will be successful and their business will be prosperous.

As a Marriott brand, I booked a 270-degree lake view room and it was absolutely stunning. Room facilities: The room is very spacious, around 60 square meters. It has a small sofa, a bathtub, and a desk. Upon entering, there are also artworks and paintings, showcasing great design details. The light color palette gives it a fresh and airy feel. I carefully inspected the room frames and corners, and they were immaculately clean, with no dust or signs of rough construction, truly reflecting the attention to detail expected from an international brand. The 270-degree lake view offers an incredible vista; it was so relaxing to lie on the sofa and gaze out at the lake. Recreational facilities: I tried the Le Méridien swimming pool, which has both a large and a small pool. The small pool had very warm water, perfect for a relaxing soak after swimming. My child also had a great time. The kickboards provided at the pool were excellent, a thoughtful detail. Breakfast: The breakfast restaurant was very crowded during my stay, but the queue was well-managed. The fact that they could handle so many people so efficiently shows that the hotel management is on point. I hope they can introduce some innovative seasonal items for breakfast. Service: Before check-in, the front desk called to inquire about my arrival time, check-in needs, and transportation, and also informed me about the breakfast location. Overall: The hotel offers a great environment, excellent brand detail management, and complete facilities. I would definitely choose to stay here again when I visit Suzhou.

The overall environment is clean and tidy. You could easily spend a whole day here without getting bored, making it perfect for a family vacation. This hotel has been around for a long time. I visited about a decade and a half ago, and back then, it felt very serene and secluded. However, I've noticed significant changes this time. It's clear they've kept up with the times, putting a lot of effort into various aspects like the environment, attention to detail, value-added services, and marketing. Overall, I found it to be pretty good value for money. While the facilities aren't as new as those in recently built hotels, the rooms are completely free of any strange or musty smells, and the location is excellent. The hot spring pools are conveniently clustered together, making it perfect for families with children and seniors. My only slight disappointment was that the 'fish spa' pool didn't actually have any fish. The front desk staff were all very warm and friendly, and the restaurant service was equally enthusiastic and attentive. I didn't get a chance to try any of the in-house activities, so I'm not sure what they offer.

Elld at the front desk was always asking if we needed anything, and Chen Liang, the shuttle driver, was so thoughtful. He noticed I had a bit of trouble getting in and out of the shuttle and immediately offered me a footstool, which was really touching. The staff at the Chinese restaurant recommended a set menu that was delicious and generous; they even helped us pack up the leftovers to take back to our room and heated them up for us later that evening. They truly go above and beyond for their guests.

Right across from the hotel is a Zhu Hongxing Noodle restaurant, which is great for breakfast. Overall, I was very satisfied; it's excellent value for money. There's also the Panmen Scenic Area nearby, but I didn't get to visit this time due to a tight schedule. If I get the chance to visit Suzhou again, I would definitely choose Xiangxuehai Hotel again.

Initially, my friend told me that Xiangxuehai is where old Suzhou locals queue up to eat, a must-visit when in Gusu city. At the time, I just thought it was an ordinary restaurant. Later, when booking a hotel, I found out that Xiangxuehai is actually a hotel that also provides accommodation, and it's very close to Suzhou Station and many attractions. I booked it without hesitation. The two days I stayed there afterward were a fantastic experience! If I have another chance to visit Suzhou, I will definitely stay at Xiangxuehai again. **[Facilities]** Although the hotel has been around for a while, it seems to have been renovated or refurbished a few years ago. The room facilities are excellent and very thoughtfully designed. For example, upon entering the room, there's a spacious wardrobe to hang clothes. The wardrobe door is a full-length mirror, which is very convenient for checking your outfit. There's also a mirror by the bed that's perfect for makeup. These mirror designs are very detailed and impressive. The bookshelf and chair are also well-placed for putting things down, and even suitable for some comfortable light work – not like those places where there's nowhere to put anything except on the floor. The overall style is a bit retro 'old money'. The corridors outside the rooms are carpeted, making them very quiet. Near the elevators for going out, they even provide mosquito repellent to prevent bites. **[Hygiene]** The hygiene was spot on. Both days I went out, I came back to a clean and tidy room, and their response was very prompt. It felt like as soon as we mentioned going out and needing cleaning, they arranged it. Once, I had to go back to the hotel for lunch, and the cleaning was already finished, and everything was spotless. **[Environment]** The overall environment is excellent. The laundry room and laundry balcony are very large, making laundry very convenient. Plus, the location is very central, close to everything. The hotel also offers delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When we were almost stranded due to a typhoon, we were so glad we chose Xiangxuehai, a hotel with dining options. What's even better is that the dining and accommodation areas are separate; only residents with cards can access the accommodation building, so the residential area is quite quiet. **[Service]** I was deeply moved by my stay at Xiangxuehai. This particular weekend was very special because many high-speed trains were canceled due to the typhoon, and we were almost stranded in Suzhou. The front desk staff were incredibly understanding, handling both extending our stay and the cancellation process with great patience despite multiple changes. They were very helpful. Furthermore, the front desk staff are very professional. We asked for earplugs due to sleep issues, and they proactively asked if something was wrong or if we weren't sleeping well, showing great care. It was truly touching. Despite the harsh weather, the human kindness shone through. I hope to stay at Xiangxuehai again next time I visit Suzhou.

The environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying. What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.

I chose the Hyatt Suzhou for its room facilities and architectural style, originally booking two nights. However, a slight hiccup right after check-in left me a bit disappointed. For instance, there were only two bathrobes, both one-size-fits-all and not very clean. My package wasn't received, and there was an inexplicable issue with not being able to charge food to the room. I contacted staff, but only the bathrobe issue was resolved. All other problems weren't addressed promptly or properly due to what seemed like a lack of communication. At that point, I felt this wasn't what a Hyatt should be like and was considering an early check-out with a very negative attitude. Thankfully, Manager Peter Sun came to my rescue. He resolved all these issues very appropriately and even managed to get me some unexpected surprises. For example, when I checked out, I mentioned I wanted to store my luggage and check in again the day after. He said it was no problem, and when I returned the next day, I found my luggage already in the room, and it was even the same room I had before! This is something I haven't experienced at other 5-star hotels, so it was a particularly delightful surprise. Keeping the original room and having my luggage already placed made me feel genuinely valued, so much so that I extended my stay. It was excellent. Peter Sun is a very clear-headed manager with strong professional capabilities and excellent customer service skills. Even from the perspective of a demanding guest like me, he was truly outstanding and deserves high praise. Having a manager like him ensures that even the most discerning guests receive top-notch service. There was also a delightful staff member at the bar, Liu Tao (he didn't tell me his English name). My boyfriend and I ordered takeout at the bar, and he immediately brought over cutlery. I told him I wanted to write a good review for him, and he just said he wasn't really concerned about that, only about doing his job well. Very interesting! Ah, after my first visit to Suzhou and staying at the Hyatt for a few days, I've discovered that Hyatt truly is my comfort zone. I'm very grateful to all the staff who served me during my stay; they were all exceptionally excellent. A special shout-out to them, because I feel like every time they heard my room number during my stay, they probably got PTSD. Their internal monologue was probably: 'OMG, that demanding and difficult guest is causing trouble again.' Anyway, they always provided me with excellent service in my presence, making me feel comfortable, which is very rare and appreciated. Thank you, Hyatt. Thank you, Peter Sun, and thank you to all the staff who served me during my stay. If I ever come back to Suzhou, I will definitely choose Hyatt again.

Our stay at Suzhou Marriott was absolutely fantastic! I have to give a special shout-out to Elliot 🌟. From the moment we checked in, we were impressed by his professionalism and enthusiasm. He was not only efficient and quick but also proactively provided information about the hotel facilities and local attractions. During our stay, whenever we asked for directions, Elliot was always super responsive and patient in his explanations. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to Hanshan Temple and Shantang Street, and the high-floor views are also amazing. They were quick to respond to any inquiries or last-minute requests, and many small service details made us feel truly cared for. The heated pool was also clean and well-serviced. With excellent facilities and warm service, we had a very comfortable stay without even needing to leave the hotel. Highly satisfied! 👍

Took my kids to Suzhou Tongli Lake Hotel for a weekend stay. Their logo is a hoopoe bird, and the experience exceeded our expectations! The family-friendly facilities were fantastic: outdoors, you can feed bunnies, and the kids' play area was clean and safe – my child didn't want to leave! great little getaway for a night. We used the public hot springs, which had a good few to choose from and wasnt overcrowded. I would recommend to the hotel and other hot spring hotels, that they keep kids from splashing and to use the actual swimming pool even if its cold. Guests come to relax. Not to participate in hot spring kids swimming lessons. But everything else was good. There was also no restaurant available. We were taken on a short walk out of the hotel to a restaurant which seemed to be the only thing available. We only really went for the hot springs and luckily we had a private one that we could finally relax in. Would recommend.
