Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|1.55km from city center
The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just one traffic light away from Line 5, and about a 10-minute walk to Wangfujing commercial area. It's also quite close to attractions like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. We stayed in a family room. The first room we entered had a smoky smell, but the staff immediately switched us to another one. The hotel is a bit old, with cracks on the walls in the room, and the TV and toilet facilities are quite dated. On the third day of our stay, it was a family member's birthday, and they thoughtfully prepared a cake for us. The hotel breakfast isn't great value for money. Since we stayed in a suite, adults were 100 RMB and children over 1.2 meters were 50 RMB. There wasn't much variety, so it's better to find some traditional Beijing breakfast nearby. For food delivery, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself; there's no robot delivery service. All the staff were very nice, especially the housekeeping team. They were very attentive, especially since we had two children with us.

This time, I brought my child to the hotel. I'd inquired beforehand and knew they couldn't provide a crib, so I made do by pushing the sofa and bed together to create a safe sleeping space. The hotel's service attitude was good, and the room was very spacious. I tried out the pool in the morning; it's connected to the gym. There weren't any staff around, so no towels were provided, but the water temperature was lovely and warm. The pool itself is small but very quiet.

This stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, right outside a shopping district and subway station. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was incredibly fast. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and it was so quiet at night that I slept soundly until morning. The breakfast had a great variety of Chinese and Western options, and tasted delicious. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing, near the embassy district, making it convenient for getting around yet surprisingly quiet. Compared to other five-star hotels, Chang Fu Gong offers exceptional value for money. When I booked, I just thought the price was very reasonable for a holiday period, and I was a bit hesitant about the facilities and service. However, my experience after checking in was absolutely amazing. From the doorman to the front desk staff and the lobby manager, every employee consistently maintained a natural and polite smile. It felt genuine and very comfortable. They even offered complimentary snacks during my stay. Despite being in the city center, the hotel has a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The hotel lobby isn't opulent, but it feels incredibly welcoming, perfect for small families. The four elevators operate very efficiently. From the elevators to the guest rooms, the hallway carpets were spotless, which deserves special praise 👍 – it's rare to see an older hotel maintain such cleanliness. Our room wasn't huge, but beyond the standard amenities, several key aspects stood out: the bathroom was very spacious with a comfortable shower, and the toilet was electronically controlled, which is lovely in winter. The room's cabinets had many compartments, perfect for families like ours with lots of small items to organize. In short, the hotel pays great attention to detail. Unfortunately, due to limited time, we couldn't stay longer to experience other hotel services and facilities, including dining. We will definitely choose Chang Fu Gong again when we visit Beijing.

The hotel's check-in desk is on the third floor. There's a doorman on the ground floor to open car doors and handle luggage, and someone available to escort guests up to the third floor for check-in. Overall, the hotel is quite good, with nice views. The food delivery robot was prompt, and the housekeeping staff was quick to provide amenities. My only minor complaint is the inconsistent information regarding parking fees. Everyone seemed to have a different answer. When I called to inquire, I was told it was 30 a day, but after checking in, I was told it was 10 per hour. In the end, it was 30 a day again when I checked out. I hope they can provide clearer and more consistent information about this.

Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|0.86km from city center
1️⃣ The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. Subway Line 2 is right at the entrance, and Tiananmen Square is only about 1.5 km away by bike, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Although it's a bit far from the Summer Palace, the location itself is genuinely great. 2️⃣ Now, about the service. On the night of the 30th, perhaps because the hotel is older, the soundproofing was exceptionally poor. Why do I say exceptionally poor? It was to the point where you could hear conversations from the next room crystal clear. This wasn't a huge issue until a man checked into the room next to us on the night of the 30th. His snoring was so incredibly loud that it was impossible to sleep. It was already past midnight, so I called the front desk. It seemed to be an intern who answered, and they very pleasantly moved us to another room, which was an upgraded room with an outer window. However, after the switch, the upgraded room was actually a bit smaller than the original one we were in. Since I had a 30-inch suitcase, it was quite cramped and difficult to move around once opened. Also, the room lacked an air purifier. All in all, the upgraded room was significantly less comfortable than the original one. I asked the intern at the front desk if they could offer a complimentary breakfast as compensation, but perhaps the intern didn't have the authority, so they didn't agree. A few minutes later, the lobby manager called, explained the differences in the upgraded room, apologized, offered a complimentary breakfast, and arranged for housekeeping to deliver an air purifier and a humidifier (they initially sent the wrong item, so comrade Jianjun from housekeeping had to make two trips at such a late hour, which I felt very bad about, but comrade Jianjun's attitude was consistently good and not impatient at all, and I really want to praise him for that). (The room was a bit warm, and I asked the front desk several times if there was a way to alleviate it. One reason was the central air conditioning, and the other was the in-room AC. Even after turning off the in-room AC, it was still very stuffy, and no other solutions were offered. However, the lobby manager on duty on the night of the 30th suggested bringing a humidifier, which felt very thoughtful. Overall, the solutions were very comforting). The room is a bit old, given its age, but most of the staff are very enthusiastic, and transportation is convenient. I would still choose this hotel next time I visit Beijing.

Excellent location just a short distance east of the Wangfujing pedestrian street. Cosily furnished with modern decor. We stayed on the 12th floor and our room faced east so we could see the skyline of the central business district's distinct buildings. The cleaning staff, 唐嫣, was very attentive to our requests, and Darren at the front desk was very accommodating with arranging transportation.

Although the room was a bit small, which might not be ideal for families, the hotel was very thoughtful in offering an upgrade, and even provided a fruit platter. The location, however, is excellent for visiting Wangfujing Street, the Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square. Jinyu Hutong subway station entrance is right outside, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby.

A truly pleasant surprise and excellent value for money! The service here is exceptional. My family and I stayed for 4 nights straight. **Facilities:** Modern. **Cleanliness:** The cleaning staff are incredibly diligent. They even folded our clothes! My own comb broke during our stay, and the cleaner quietly fixed it for me – that was a lovely surprise. **Environment:** Superb! The subway entrance is just over 100 meters away, and it's within two stops of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, making getting around incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, so dining is easy. What's more, despite being in such a convenient location, it's surprisingly quiet. The windows must be well soundproofed because you can't hear any traffic noise at night. The view from the window also offers a lovely modern city vibe. **Service:** This is definitely the biggest highlight. The front desk staff are incredibly attentive. For our last night, it was New Year's Eve, and we couldn't book a twin room, so we ended up with a king-sized bed. We were bracing ourselves for the hassle of switching rooms, but the front desk staff quietly paid attention to this detail. When a twin room became available, they called us to ask if we wanted to switch. This kind of extra service, truly thinking from the customer's perspective, deserves huge praise! 👍👍👍

The hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants nearby. The room carpets were clean and odor-free, and the soundproofing was excellent. The overall hardware facilities are well-maintained. Shangri-La's service has always had a good reputation in the industry. In particular, front desk staff Chen Siyu and Wang Ying were very attentive. They saw my message on Ctrip in advance and efficiently arranged our room based on the day's availability, which was a pleasant surprise and made for a great stay. Mr. Wang Rui was professional and capable, balancing principles with flexibility to meet reasonable guest requests within hotel guidelines. The Executive Lounge service was very thoughtful; Tian Fei, Zuo Jiangwei, and Wang Jing were highly professional and meticulous. From the front desk reception to the Kerry Club service and the professionalism of the lobby manager, our whole family experienced Shangri-La's consistent guest-first, attentive service. Changping Town/Shisanling Resort Beijing|40.96km from city center
I brought my kids to let off some steam over the weekend and stayed in a Deluxe King Room. It seems I ran into the Beijing Orthopedic Surgery Medical Conference, so rooms were quite scarce. Service: Check-in procedures seemed a bit complicated, and I waited for about 15-25 minutes on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM. However, guests who booked through Ctrip seemed to check in faster, didn't need to pay a deposit, and got their rooms immediately. With the hotel almost fully booked on a weekend, it seems some high-tier Marriott members tried to battle for an upgrade but weren't successful, which further confirmed the room shortage. I had requested a bed rail in advance, and it was provided right away. Environment: Standard five-star hotel. Hygiene: The room hygiene was good, and swim caps are required for the pool. The only drawback was that the children's club restroom had an odor that spread to the activity area because the door was left open, which is not up to five-star standards. Facilities: Overall good, nothing was broken. However, the TV is an older model and doesn't support screen mirroring.

I'm completely won over by the heating at Grand Hyatt Beijing! Even though I visited during the coldest time of the year, the entire hotel was wonderfully warm, almost like the 25-degree weather in Shenzhen. The front desk service was incredibly prompt; someone came to take my luggage before I even reached the counter, and check-in was handled swiftly and seamlessly. The fresh flowers in the lobby were elegant and sophisticated, and the carefully placed greenery brought a touch of vibrant green to the winter. The gym facilities are comprehensive, and the swimming area recreates a tropical beach vibe, making guests feel as if they're on a beautiful island at sunset. The breakfast selection is extensive, offering a blend of Chinese and Western dishes and catering to various regional tastes. Room service was warm and attentive. The Dengshikou subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel by metro incredibly convenient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our high-floor room offered views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Waking up to the sights along the central axis in the morning was incredibly pleasant, and we also enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening. Second time staying, Hotel location is very near the Tiananmen Square, and its perfect for autumn in Beijing. Rooms are spacious, its a little old, but we are not too fuzzy, breakfast was acceptable but for something that you would go crazy over. Four restaurants are available within the hotel varying from Chinese, seafood hotpot, Japanese and German cuisines. There's a good collection of jade ornaments and art pieces to buy if you have deep pockets. There are many places within the hotel where you could take some awesome photos and also hotel has professional photographers available. We extended our stay for 2 more days and definitely will choose to stay here again. Badaling Great Wall/Badaling Wildlife Park Beijing|56.95km from city center
This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant. The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina. There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child? The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating. We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall. Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

This was my second stay, and it was just as excellent as the first. Our butler, Tracy Zhang Xi, was incredibly responsive and provided thoughtful service. We initially had a different room than what we booked, but she promptly arranged a satisfactory change for us. She even helped us find an Ethernet cable and an HDMI cable, which was a huge plus. The hot springs at Haiwan Banshan are built into the mountainside, and the beautiful scenery is a definite advantage. There are over 10 different types of pools, each with a great view. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for extreme privacy, luxury, or a dedicated water play area for children. The kids' play area at Haiwan Banshan is quite large. Among 5-star hotels in Beijing with hot springs, only Club Med, Badaling Jinyu, and Xishan Hot Spring Blue Parrot probably offer bigger and more entertaining options. The suite was spacious, and the facilities were undeniably 5-star quality when compared to similar hotels. The only downside was the slightly higher price during holiday periods. The Ethernet port on the desk was fake; to get a wired connection, you had to use the port behind the bedroom TV, which was about 5 meters away. The butler could only find a 2-meter cable, which was a bit inconvenient for guests who need to work during their stay. I didn't get to try the Bian stone sweat steaming at the wellness center as too many people had booked it. The indoor air dome sports field is also very large, offering basketball, badminton, and table tennis, all of which require reservations. There's also a small outdoor ice rink where you can ice skate or play on ice sleds.

Having spent considerable time in the vicinity of the International Club, International Building, Japanese Embassy, Associated Press, and Ritan Park, I'm very familiar with this area. The hotel is strategically located just off Chang'an Avenue, at No. 21 Jianguomenwai Avenue, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It's situated in the heart of the CBD, adjacent to Chang'an Avenue and the Embassy District. Jianguomen subway station is a mere 7-minute walk away, and iconic landmarks like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are just a few blocks from the hotel. It also offers convenient access to vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs such as Guomao, Wangfujing, and Sanlitun. I myself spent nearly a decade working in the International Building. Upon entering the lobby, its high ceilings and grand, pillarless design create a truly magnificent impression. The suites are thoughtfully laid out and exude an elegant, classic charm. A serene garden with a gentle flowing fountain enhances the overall sophisticated ambiance. Despite opening in 1997, the facilities are comprehensive, and the environment, cleanliness, and service all maintain a first-class standard. The standout feature is the unforgettable butler service; the personalized, one-on-one attention makes you feel right at home. The 24-hour comprehensive butler team provides exceptional service, anticipating and fulfilling every guest's need. Our butlers, Jasmine, Parker, Alex, and Bradley, orchestrated a series of unique experiences, including the St. Regis's classic traditional ritual of champagne sabrage. This spectacular event took place in the gallery of the Danielli Italian Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, where guests collectively raised their glasses, savored exquisite champagne, and celebrated. The sabered champagne cork was then presented as a cherished keepsake. Dylan Zhao and Candie (灿灿) went above and beyond, waiting for our return even after we came back late from a football match at Workers' Stadium. As we opened the door, they were already there, ready to welcome us home with comforting warm honey-lemon water and hot peppermint Earl Grey tea, perfectly prepared for optimal flavor. Their handwritten cards were also a thoughtful touch, now treasured keepsakes. They truly made our St. Regis night wonderful, cozy, and unforgettable. While there's so much more I wish to express, my feelings at this moment are truly beyond words, deeply etched in my heart. This unforgettable St. Regis experience will forever be etched in my memory. I look forward to returning on August 25, 2025. My sincerest thanks once again to The St. Regis Hotel for everything.

Let me give an honest review; this hotel far exceeded my expectations and is a great place that's unfortunately been held back by some unfair negative reviews. The location is absolutely unbeatable, connected to INDIGO mall and right next to the Lido business district, making dining, entertainment, and shopping incredibly convenient. While some of the facilities are a bit dated, and the appliances are indeed a bit small, these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience. It even brings back a nostalgic feeling of The Opposite House, which is quite nice. This time, I booked a room with executive lounge access. The executive floor staff were exceptionally friendly, providing meticulous service. The lounge's food and beverage offerings, though limited, were of high quality. I had dinner with friends outside, so I didn't experience the happy hour, but I'll definitely try it next time if I get the chance. My last visit here must have been 30 years ago, what a childhood memory! This established five-star hotel has a charm that new hotels just can't replicate. The Christmas atmosphere was incredibly rich! Kella (I hope I spelled that right) contacted me the day before to confirm my check-in details and upgraded my room. The upgraded room type seems to be newly renovated; although it's not huge, it's very new, completely odorless, and extremely clean. The room size isn't large, but the design cleverly uses mirrors to create a visual extension, making the entire space feel very open. The floor was incredibly quiet; no one was shouting or running around in the hallways in the morning or evening, so I slept really well. The included breakfast buffet had a rich variety of options, and the best part is it ran until 11 AM – that's fantastic and so considerate! Kempinski's Black Forest cake is still consistently delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful memory.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. Although there was a notice in the room about hotel maintenance, it didn't actually cause any inconvenience. There were two things I wasn't too happy about. First, the soundproofing in the room wasn't great. Either that, or the kid next door was just incredibly loud. They were shouting in the afternoon, still shouting when I got back to the hotel after 11 PM, and then started again around 8 AM on Sunday – better than an alarm clock! The other thing was that after finishing my meal in the room in the afternoon, I wanted to call for someone to pick up the trays. The call went to an automated customer service. I explained my request, and the AI said it understood. However, no one came to collect them until I was about to leave around 6 PM. Luckily, a staff member came to do the turndown service and took them away for me.

The room offers a pleasant view, and the cleanliness is impeccable. Although the hotel's facilities are dated, their quality is still very good. It's not as bad as some reviews suggest; while the aging hardware is a definite drawback, the staff are warm and friendly. The afternoon tea at the executive lounge was exquisite, and my child absolutely loved it. The bedding was comfortable, and despite my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any allergic reactions. If the hotel facilities could be updated, it would be absolutely perfect, far surpassing even Waldorf Astoria. The clientele is mainly business travelers, so there are no influencers posing for photos. Overall, it's worth staying here and holds its own against other Four Seasons properties.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip in Beijing, and overall, my experience was pretty good! From the moment I arrived, Anna from guest relations was very helpful. She assisted with my luggage, guided me through the check-in process, and informed me about the hotel's facilities and dining times. Throughout my stay, she frequently checked in to see if I needed anything or if there was anything she could help with, even asking if I wanted to order takeout and have the hotel robot deliver it to my room. The robot delivery was very fast. The hotel facilities, including the pool and gym, are all excellent and well-equipped. The Cantonese restaurant, Tang Palace, on the third floor, serves fantastic food! And I really enjoyed the pretzel bun from the bakery! All in all, whether it's the environment, facilities, or service, everything was top-notch!

A quality choice, with a Chinese garden design, tucked away in a quiet spot but still central. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches like a bathtub. The bedding is comfortable, and the double sinks in the bathroom are practical. It's about a 5-minute walk to the park, and guests get early access an hour before opening, which means shorter queues for popular attractions. The breakfast offers a rich selection of both Chinese and Western options. The service is professional, and there are additional amenities like a pool and spa. All in all, a very good stay.

Stepping into a 'Chinese Aesthetic Utopia'! My stay at Shangri-La Beijing was a flawless experience, from the heartwarming service to the culinary feast, I was completely captivated. First, a huge shout-out to Ms. Yuan Xiaofan at the front desk! As soon as I arrived, I was impressed by her professionalism and thoughtfulness. She remembered my accommodation preferences and even sent welcome fruits, which truly warmed my heart. Later, when I wanted to extend my check-out time, she quickly and efficiently arranged it. Her smile was always gentle and appropriate, never overly enthusiastic or pushy, just the right amount of attentiveness that instantly dispelled any initial unfamiliarity and made a fantastic first impression. And the room was full of delightful surprises! As a clean freak, the first thing I do is check the cleanliness – the bedding was spotless and odorless, no dust in the corners, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the vanity was pristine, not even a single water mark on the mirror. A detail-oriented person's dream come true! The decor blended contemporary design with an Asian flair, adorned with exquisite artwork. The warm yellow lighting on the wooden furniture, coupled with the garden view outside the window, created an elegant and cozy ambiance. What really touched me was the bedside fragrance, which was consistent with the lobby's iconic scent – fresh and not overpowering. Paired with the soft bedding, I enjoyed a wonderful night's sleep until dawn. The New Year's Day festive atmosphere was simply fantastic! From the hotel entrance to the lobby, carefully arranged New Year's Day flower baskets were everywhere. The red and gold flowers, adorned with pine branches and lanterns, exuded both traditional Chinese festivity and the sophistication of a high-end hotel. You didn't even need to find the perfect angle for photos; every snap turned out to be a New Year masterpiece. Especially the giant flower basket in the center of the lobby, a perfect fusion of traditional aesthetics and festive cheer, making you feel the rich New Year's spirit and sense of occasion the moment you walked in. The dining experience was truly god-tier! The fruitwood roasted duck at Shang Palace is a must-try; the skin was so crispy you could hear it crackle when you bit into it. Wrapped in a thin pancake with sweet bean sauce, the rich aroma of the fat mixed with the fruitwood flavor was incredibly satisfying. The crispy garlic chicken had a golden, crispy skin and incredibly tender, juicy meat inside, with a rich garlic flavor that wasn't greasy. The buffet restaurant offered an even wider selection – unlimited fresh and springy lobsters, beautifully marbled Japanese sashimi, and creamy Italian Robella ice cream, each bite a moment of pure happiness. The dining environment was also superb; the carved partitions in Shang Palace paired with warm lighting created a classic Chinese ambiance that naturally encouraged you to slow down and savor the moment. The sense of ceremony was absolutely perfect. As a well-established five-star hotel, Shangri-La Beijing's quality never disappoints – clean and comfortable rooms, a wonderfully festive atmosphere, a feast for the taste buds, and the heartwarming service from Ms. Yuan Xiaofan, all made this New Year's trip an unforgettable memory.

An absolutely fantastic stay, truly deserving of five stars! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was impressed by the elegant ambiance and the staff's warm hospitality. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and thoughtful; they patiently explained the hotel facilities and offered recommendations for local attractions. The room itself was spacious, bright, and exquisitely decorated, spotless and immaculate. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, instantly washing away my travel fatigue. Both the convenience of its location and the overall experience were impeccable. This hotel has definitely made it onto my top choices for future trips. I highly recommend it and will certainly be back!

The hotel's restaurant specializes in authentic Beijing cuisine, offering signature dishes like Old Beijing Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles), Ludagkun (rolling donkey cake), and Doupao soup, allowing guests to savor the local flavors while experiencing the cultural charm of the capital. The quadrangle courtyard has a very strong positive vibe, and the scenery is beautiful. The Ming and Qing dynasty architecture really captures the essence of old Beijing. What I liked most was the private butler, Danika, who provided thoughtful service; even the kids loved her. Breakfast can be delivered to the room, which was an absolute treat. The room was spacious, giving the children plenty of room to play, and they could also enjoy the courtyard. Danika helped us with our luggage and thoughtfully prepared sun hats for the children, which were incredibly practical. Five-star recommendation!!!

Right from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm service and complimentary tea, a true ray of sunshine on a cold winter's day. The room was simply yet warmly decorated, and the bare cotton bedding felt wonderfully soft and breathable against my skin. The deep sleep pillow was a lifesaver for my insomnia! Every nook and cranny was spotless, and the smart toilet was incredibly convenient to use. For breakfast, I enjoyed local specialties, and there was even comforting congee available late at night. Before I checked out, the front desk thoughtfully inquired about my travel plans and gave me a souvenir. Honestly, there wasn't a single thing to complain about – truly a cozy and reassuring home away from home for my trip! Highly recommend staying here.
