Beijing Metro Lines & Stations

In 2026, Beijing Metro network has completed Lines 1-19, adding new lines such as Line 17 Middle Section, Line 18 (Malianwa - Tiantongyuan East), and Line 6 South Extension, achieving more comprehensive operational coverage. Key information is as follows:

  • Backbone Lines: Line 1 connects Tiananmen and CBD core areas; Line 2 is a loop line covering hubs such as Xizhimen and Beijing Railway Station; after the full opening of Line 17, the whole journey from Jiahui Lake to Weilai Science City North only takes 66 minutes, diverting north-south passenger flow.
  • Airport Connection: Capital Airport can be directly reached via the Airport Line; Daxing Airport can be taken via the Beijing-Xiongan R1 Line (fully opened in 2026, initially operating from 4:00 to 1:00 the next day, and 24 hours in the long run).
  • Inter-provincial Planning: Line 22 (Pinggu Line) is expected to open at the end of 2026, connecting Chaoyang, Tongzhou in Beijing and Yanjiao in Hebei, with 5 stations in Yanjiao, and it only takes 32 minutes to reach CBD.

Good location, walking distance from Wangfujing. Excellent stay. Smooth check-in for my prepaid booking (1,000 RMB deposit required). The hotel features beautiful classic decor and spacious rooms. The shower pressure was impressive and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Central Beijing. The hotel is stylish and comfortable, but what impressed me most was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special shout‑out to the team who assisted me with ordering food delivery when my phone couldn’t register on the app. They handled everything smoothly and made the whole experience stress-free. Overall, a great stay with excellent hospitality. I would definitely recommend Sofitel Central Beijing to anyone visiting the city.

A great place to stay overall. Check-in was fuss-free. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was large and there were 2 pillows of varying hardness. The toilet and shower area was separate and toilet even had a bathtub. Water pressure was good and the hot water came on easily. Amenity kit including toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver was provided at check in. Staff generally made good effort to improve the stay - providing water bottles and a radiator in the room on request. There was some communication difficulty when it came to having parcels left at the concierge though that was eventually sorted out. The hotel had a well equipped gym, a good length heated swimming pool, a hot tub and a sauna, with the facilities available for use till 11pm. Location is convenient, with the nearest metro station less than 10 minutes away.

The location is excellent, very close to the subway station. The service was attentive, and the hygiene was good – everything was clean and tidy, even if the facilities weren't brand new. However, for a hotel costing 900 yuan a night, the breakfast was incredibly cheap. Out of four hot dishes, three were instant sausages, and there was even spoiled cold mixed tofu skin (fuzhu) – the top layer was dried out and discolored, looking like it had been sitting there for days. Because of the great location, I stayed for six days, but from the second day onwards, I ordered breakfast delivery. I'd bring my takeout to the restaurant just to have some of their plain congee, which unfortunately lacked century egg and lean pork, despite being labeled as 'century egg and lean pork congee.' The buns in the picture are from my delivery.

The whole process made people feel very comfortable and at ease. The service is considerate, professional and warm. The overall experience is excellent and cost-effective. Our stay was ok but had several significant problems. The first was when I was told that my room would be windowless and in the basement. They said this was in the booking but it was definitely not clear when I booked through the English trip.com website, and the photo showed a room with a window. When I checked my booking online afterwards there was no mention of it being windowless. When I said I had expected a window, the staff showed me a room with a window, but it was smaller, reeked of cigarettes, had a different bed configuration ill-suited for my family, and was more expensive. And I was told that regulations prohibited opening the window anyway. I have no idea why. So I resigned my family to the basement. The room was nice and cute but the bathroom smelled like mildew, and, again, it was in a windowless basement. I don't know how it's allowed to have such rooms. The hotel is 8 large floors and has only one elevator, so there was a lot of waiting. The hallway in the basement had an unpleasant vinegar odor. We tried to buy breakfast on our last morning. It turned out we couldn't just buy it with AliPay, we had to install a mini app, add all our information, verify things, and it was taking 15+ minutes. We just wanted to eat and catch our train. This senseless delay almost made us miss it. The staff was nice and helpful but the hotel itself has a lot of problems. It is not cheap. The location is great but I would stay somewhere else next time.

I booked this as a Novotel, but before check-in, I was told it had changed names. This might indicate some issues – perhaps the hotel didn't meet Novotel's standards. The hotel is quite old but well-maintained, with no obvious problems. The outdated design itself isn't a huge deal, but I genuinely can't understand the bathroom door's design – the handle pinches your hand, and the door doesn't close securely. For the price, the location is quite good. Within a few hundred meters' walk, you'll find Dengshikou Subway Station (Line 5) and Jinyukou Station (Line 8). Wangfujing Pedestrian Street is about a 15-minute walk away. I didn't use the hotel's breakfast. There are plenty of breakfast options on the way to Dengshikou Subway Station.

An absolutely luxurious stay. The breakfast and the on-site restaurant were top-tier, worthy of the finest dining experiences. The pool boasts a breathtaking view, though it was a shame that the opening hours (from 10:00 AM) didn't allow for an early morning swim. The gym was extremely large and had absolutely everything one could need. An incredible extra: having a washing machine in the room was so convenient! Stayed here with my kids for a science competition. What impressed me most was how orderly breakfast was, even with hundreds of people – they cleared tables incredibly efficiently, which was a huge plus. It’s also very close to the Badaling Outlets. We checked in quickly on a Friday, no queues at all. My only suggestion would be to reset the central AC temperature; even with the AC off and windows open, it felt like the underfloor heating was on. This is a great stopover if you're visiting the Great Wall or shopping at the outlets.

I've been to this hotel several times for internal department meetings and team-building events, so I brought my family here for Chinese New Year. The hotel's location is super convenient, about an hour's drive from the city. The rooms are individual villas, offering a wonderful sense of harmony with nature ✌🏻, providing peace and tranquility for those busy with work. This is a five-star hotel under the international Hyatt chain, and during Chinese New Year, they were very well-staffed. Besides their consistently professional regular services, they also had thoughtfully prepared activities to celebrate the New Year and special dishes. Sunny, the lady who checked us in at the front desk, was beautiful, kind, and incredibly helpful, responding to every request with enthusiasm 😍. I brought my two elderly parents, my kids, and myself to the Half Mountain Bay last weekend for a two-day, one-night stay. This was our second time here, and it was just as relaxing and hassle-free as the first. The environment is beautiful, nestled by mountains and water with fresh air, perfect for seniors to unwind and kids to play. Our butler, Lika, was incredibly warm and attentive throughout. She proactively communicated with us before check-in to understand our needs and was always responsive during our stay. She was especially patient with the elderly and children, thoughtfully reminding us about the hot springs and salt steam room precautions, and fulfilling every request – her service was truly heartwarming. The breakfast buffet was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options. The live cooking stations served delicious food, and everyone, especially the kids and seniors, enjoyed it thoroughly. The variety and taste were excellent, setting us up for a great day. The Half Mountain hot springs are genuinely comfortable. The Zodiac-themed pools offer good privacy and the water temperature was just right; my parents felt completely relaxed after their soak. The salt steam room was great for unwinding and relieving fatigue, suitable for both adults and children, leaving us feeling completely refreshed. The kids' play area was large and safe, and my two children didn't want to leave. Meanwhile, the seniors could relax and chat nearby, ensuring everyone in the family had a good time. Upon check-out, Lika even prepared adorable squirrel keychains for the children, which they loved. This little surprise was a wonderful bonus!

The entire courtyard is superbly designed, and you can see the owner's thoughtful touches in every detail. The room design is very industrial, which is quite unique, and the service was good too. The only minor drawback is that the power outlets in the room were a bit inconveniently placed. We happened to be there for Christmas, and the gingerbread house and the Christmas tree in the backyard were absolutely adorable. The nail tech was also super cute and lovely. The restaurant also gets high marks: the breakfast is a refined blend of Chinese and Western options, small but excellent; I've eaten at the Western restaurant twice now, and every dish has been outstanding (the cream of mushroom soup bowl was even warmed; I recommend the foie gras salad and the chestnut cake). Overall, I'd give it a 4.8 out of 5!

St. Regis Beijing: Unforgettable Luxury and Flawless Service I recently concluded a truly exceptional stay in an Executive Room at the St. Regis Beijing and can confidently say the experience far exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a sanctuary of space and attentive service in the city, this is the place to be. The Executive Room: Space and Comfort The Executive Room itself was superb. The space was generous, feeling less like a hotel room and more like a private apartment. The design is elegant and classic, providing a very relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing. One of the standout features was the walk-in wardrobe, which offered ample space to fully unpack and settle in—a small luxury that makes a huge difference on longer trips. Beyond the wardrobe, the room was stocked with a full array of amenities that spoke to the St. Regis's commitment to guest comfort and detail. Impeccable Service and Signature Touches While the room was excellent, the service elevated the entire stay to five-star status. The consistent turn-down service provided every evening was flawless, ensuring the room was refreshed and welcoming each time I returned. It's those little touches that define luxury. Most notably, the concierge service was truly excellent and invaluable for navigating Beijing. They were professional, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful. They effortlessly managed to secure a booking for a Peking Opera show, which was a fantastic highlight of my trip. Furthermore, their simple and effective directions were a lifesaver, making it easy and stress-free to get around the city. Final Verdict From the generous size and superior amenities of the Executive Room (especially that walk-in wardrobe!) to the consistently high level of service—particularly the knowledgeable concierge—the St. Regis Beijing is a flawless choice. Highly recommended for travelers seeking luxury, space, and a staff that goes above and beyond.

The staff were okay, a bit cool but still helpful. The hotel is a bit old, and the facilities show their age. We had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing. Upon check-in, we were upgraded as the hotel was unable to provide rooms on the same floor. We truly appreciated the gesture. One of the staff members, Amal, even followed up with us via text to check whether we were comfortable in our rooms or needed anything further. The concierge officer, Cecilia, was also extremely helpful. She arranged for her colleague to assist us with registration for the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square the next day, organized a car with a driver for our Great Wall tour, and helped us book a DiDi to the airport. Our family trip over Chinese New Year brought us back to Rosewood, our top choice, for the second time. My son, as always, absolutely loved it. We enjoyed afternoon tea at the 7th floor executive lounge – those crisps were delicious! The room's detailed decor made for a comfortable stay, and the welcome desserts were a nice touch. The handwritten welcome card was a delightful surprise for my son, and the butler thoughtfully added an extra bed for him. The children's amenities in the room were of high quality and well-stocked. A special thanks to the butler team, especially Lucas, Betty, and Yolanda, who truly made us feel at home. During the Spring Festival, I needed red envelopes for my friends' children, and the butler team immediately helped me find some – that was incredibly heartwarming! 1: The front desk staff who checked me in, wearing teal eyeshadow, kept a straight face and emphasized three times that I needed to keep the executive lounge schedule and adhere to its times. Excuse me, is this my first time visiting an executive lounge? And second, I'm not blind or deaf, so I would have understood after you said it once. Also, please fix your makeup. 2: After being in the room for a while, I noticed a yellow stain on a pillowcase. I called, and the attendant quickly came to replace it. It's no exaggeration to say she replaced the pillowcase in 2 seconds. This was, without a doubt, the best experience of my stay. 3: As part of the executive benefits, I had a late check-out until 4 PM. However, at 2 PM, my card stopped working. My three-year-old and I were stuck in the elevator, unable to go up, and he got scared. It was then that I realized they might have deactivated my card... We had to go back to the front desk on the ground floor to resolve it. All of this is fine, these are minor issues. 4: They charged me 3500 for check-in and took the deposit quickly. But getting the deposit back was a different story. I've stayed at so many five-star platinum and diamond hotels, and I've always received my deposit before even leaving the hotel entrance. This is the first time I've encountered not receiving it after 12 hours. Customer service told me it would be returned via the original payment method within 48 hours... I've truly never heard of a deposit being delayed like this. 5: The shower in the room was very cold, and at night, it was extremely hot, making it hard to sleep. The breakfast was decent but didn't offer much. Please stop serving that 'cheong fun' (rice noodle roll); it's an embarrassment. Anyone who has ever had 'cheong fun' would know what I'm talking about... The executive lounge had almost nothing to eat; it was far too little, not even half of what you'd find at a Ritz. The orange juice was good. There was one young male server in the executive lounge who was absolutely the best; the other female staff were just props. That's all.

They knew we were celebrating a birthday, so they upgraded us to a suite and were very helpful in getting our luggage delivered directly to our room. The hotel has a swimming pool and a hot tub. In the changing rooms, there's a sauna and a hot plunge pool. The sauna was a bit ordinary; unlike some high-end hotels, it didn't get hot enough quickly to make you sweat, nor did it have any added fragrances. Also, a cold plunge pool would have been a great addition. The bed was quite comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were good. Facilities: This old five-star hotel is very well-maintained. Cleanliness: Clean and hygienic, the cleaning staff are very polite. Environment: Very convenient, with plenty of options for food and shopping nearby. Service: Friendly and enthusiastic. Airport/Station Transfer (¥100 discount coupon): The driver contacted me in advance, but Beijing South Railway Station was under renovation, which made vehicle entry and exit slow, so I had to wait a bit longer.

This is a hotel I frequently stay at. It's part of the HUAZHU chain, and you can see the crystal-inspired design everywhere. The cleanliness and service are consistently excellent. The rooms are spacious, and the automatic curtains are a lifesaver for someone like me who's too lazy to get out of bed. I especially have to praise their bedding – the mattress is just the right firmness, and both types of pillows are incredibly comfortable. The Chinese and Western breakfast is also quite good, and they even gave me a complimentary snack bag when I checked out. Every stay here is a great experience.

For this friends' gathering, we wanted to experience a traditional courtyard hotel. We chose the Waldorf Astoria over the Aman, and it was an excellent experience! The room was very new and spacious, and the courtyard was beautiful. All the staff were incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, our dedicated butler, Amber, contacted us to ask if we needed any anniversary decorations and about our bedding preferences. We arrived quite early, and our room wasn't ready yet, so they kindly prepared a room for us in the main building to rest. They guided us through the entire process, and the service was incredibly detailed and attentive, giving us a fantastic first impression right from check-in. For breakfast, we opted for room service. The variety was extensive, with American, Continental, Chinese, and even low-fat options. Staff member Will also provided very attentive service. The hotel even offered a complimentary travel photography service. Although it was raining, the photographer (a young man named Yueqian) found great spots, and the photos turned out natural and beautiful. While taking photos in the courtyard, we met another staff member, Judy, who was very enthusiastic. She gave us many tips on photo locations and also told us about fun places to visit in Beijing. If we weren't heading to Universal Studios, we would have loved to stay a few more days. The overall experience was excellent, and I'd love to bring my parents here next time.

Relatively clean place. The room is spacious although the entire block is only 2 storeys. There is no lift , so need to hand carry luggage to the 2nd floor. Very close to 故宫 forbidden city. Exit hotel turn left, reach junction turn left again. Within 5-7 mins of walking you will reach 东华门 Dong Hua Men (Exit only). Follow the crowd to skirt around the canal and another 5-7mins you will reach the entrance of the city. This will save you a lot of time compared to entering from天安门 Tian an men. Also, the front door of the hotel is it's entrance by the road. No stopping of cars as it sthe road side, you need to quickly hop on your cars as it's only pickup/drop off only. If you arranged transport, chances are you need to standby by the road to wait for the driver there as they cannot park there Lots of food and restaurants nearby (exit door turn left). Slightly down the road on the right is 王府井 Wang Fu Jin area. Great for food and shopping.

Intelligent experience, five stars! ”The hotel's facilities are truly brand new, and the smart home system is exceptionally well-done! The 'Xiaodu' voice assistant controls the curtains, lights, and TV, and it's incredibly responsive. There's plenty of hot water in the room, and the showerhead has great pressure. The parking lot even has charging stations, which totally solves the headache of charging an electric car. A detail-oriented person like me is absolutely thrilled!”
