I stayed for almost half a month, and overall it was a great experience. The location is prime, making it super convenient to get around on foot. The front desk staff were polite and friendly during check-in and when extending my stay. The only minor drawback is having to pick up packages myself since there's no robot service, but that's understandable. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10. It was a very pleasant stay.FromSGD 171

Five-star review! I stayed at the Sofitel Beijing Central for four consecutive days, and my overall experience was extremely satisfying. The location is excellent, close to Jianguomen subway station, making it very convenient to get to Wangfujing, Tiananmen Square, and the National Museum. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I rested very well. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and their service was prompt and responsive; communication was smooth whenever I had a request. The hotel environment is quiet and elegant, and the facilities are well-maintained. Traveling with children, staying here made getting around and sightseeing worry-free and convenient. It's a great choice for exploring urban Beijing, especially since the young lady at the Chance hotel front desk upgraded our room for free and gave us a breakfast voucher for one adult and two children for one day, considering our late arrival. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Beijing – it truly exceeded my expectations!FromSGD 130

Huge commendation to Manager Liu Ze at the AVIC Park Hotel front desk! During check-in, she thoughtfully coordinated and arranged a clean and quiet room for us. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage. The environment was great; there were small fish to feed, and the buffet had good food, especially the sake with preserved plums – quite potent! There are also many eateries nearby, including Ziguan Garden for breakfast, Xie Restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, hot pot beef, and a charcoal grill place, all of which are delicious. Even with food delivery, the staff downstairs were enthusiastic about helping bring it up to the room. The only downside is that it's about 200 meters from the subway entrance.FromSGD 124

Let's start with the positives: Firstly, the location is excellent. Right outside the entrance is Chongwenmen subway station, making it incredibly convenient to reach all the major attractions. This is definitely the hotel's biggest selling point. Secondly, the staff are very service-oriented. Their customer care, from booking to check-out, was impressive, and the front desk was quick to help guests resolve issues during my stay.
Now for the areas that need improvement: As it's an older hotel, the facilities are quite basic and dated. The lighting is also on the dim side, especially in the elevators. The rooms show signs of age, with some water stains and black mold visible in the bathroom, and dust accumulation in the corners of the wardrobe door tracks. During this stay, the first room (B213) had a strong odor from the bathroom drain, so with the help of the front desk, I moved to a different room (B559). However, the air conditioning in the second room was not very effective; even at its lowest setting, the room temperature stayed around 27 degrees Celsius, making it feel a bit stuffy in the mornings or at midday.
Overall, considering the price, Xinqiao Hotel offers acceptable value for money in the city center.
My suggestions for the hotel are: 1. Replace the lighting with brighter white lights to make the place feel less dated. 2. Increase the frequency of maintenance for drainage pipes and the central air conditioning system. 3. Improve the cleanliness of room corners, particularly in the bathrooms.FromSGD 92

During my middle school entrance exam, I needed a quiet place to rest during the day. The hotel specifically assigned us to the 12th floor, which was very quiet. The hotel itself was very clean. The room was tiny, I mean, really tiny. There was no space for luggage; if you put it on the floor, you couldn't walk. I originally booked a windowless room, and they said they upgraded me to one with a window, but it faced a wall about 50 centimeters away. So, open or closed, it was dark, and if you opened it, all you heard was the buzzing of the AC unit outside, so it was better to keep it shut. The breakfast was good, and the location was decent. I don't understand why hotel ratings are always so high nowadays. It's because after you book, the front desk chases you for a 5-star review. This practice really needs to be addressed.FromSGD 96

I put my parents in a separate room at this hotel and they were upgraded when we checked in, which was very kind of the staff. Their room had a more classic feel compared to ours, but it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable.
They appreciated the free mini bar (sodas and water) and the convenient location. Service was consistently good. Breakfast wasn’t anything special and could be better, but it was sufficient. Their thoughtful and attentive service made me feel very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the ingredients were fresh. The most pleasant surprise was the hotel offering intangible cultural heritage handicraft experiences. The instructor was very professional and detailed in their explanations, allowing me to immerse myself in the charm of traditional craftsmanship and create a unique travel souvenir with my own hands. Location is excellent - near to most of the popular attractions and right next to the famous 四季民福. Service was not as great however - some staffs looked like they wish they were somewhere else. Only one staff (a lady with specs) was helpful and tried her best to assist us. Checked out early in the morning and the staff was sleeping at the reception. The apex of Beijing, where the true heart of luxury beats!
— A perfect stay at Kerry Hotel Beijing from July 25th-26th
If Beijing is a flowing feast, then the Guomao CBD is its most dazzling stage, and Kerry Hotel Beijing sits right in the center of it.
During this stay, I truly experienced what it means to “be amidst the bustle, yet privately enjoy luxury.” Arriving on the afternoon of the 25th, from the moment I stepped into the lobby, that grand sense of tranquility isolated me from the noise outside the window. The room was super spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling window offered an unparalleled city skyline view, with the CCTV Headquarters (the 'big trousers') and China Zun tower side-by-side. That feeling of having the imperial capital at your feet instantly made the room rate worthwhile!
I must particularly praise the Kerry Club Lounge on the 18th floor! It was truly the highlight of my entire stay! The service from Ms. Lucy, Clara, and Seanna was simply delightful, making me feel incredibly welcome. The lounge's food, whether afternoon tea or evening happy hour, offered such a vast variety that it was hard to choose. The breakfast at 'Jia Pin Restaurant' on the morning of the 26th absolutely won me over—there were 7 ways to prepare eggs alone, plus fresh grapefruit. These kinds of details are truly a huge plus!
Although I know this hotel is a representative of the 'old money' opened in 1999, the facilities are incredibly well-maintained. That sense of profound grandeur, refined by the passage of time, is a quality new hotels simply cannot replicate. The gym and heated swimming pool are top-tier for hotels in China, with huge spaces and comprehensive equipment. Even just a swim feels like a luxury.
My two-day journey in the heart of luxury left me wanting more. Not only is the location unbeatable, but the service and dining are also exceptional! This is definitely the most 'aristocratic' hotel I've stayed at in Beijing, second to none! ♥️FromSGD 179

This was my first time staying at the Park Plaza. We came because my child had an exam at the Academy of Arts and Design's attached high school. When we arrived, I didn't even realize there was a hotel next door. What drew us in was the parking lot we spotted as we drove by, and it was indeed very close to the school. The security guard at the entrance confirmed there was plenty of parking, and we were impressed to find both above-ground and underground spaces. So, we decided to book a room. The price was reasonable, not expensive at all, and the hotel had everything: a restaurant, breakfast, and a gym.
Stepping into the lobby, it was bright, and a pleasant aroma filled the air, immediately giving us a holiday vibe and easing our nerves. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and thorough during check-in. She double-checked our late checkout request multiple times to ensure it was fine. Knowing we were there for our child's exam, she even extended our checkout to 3 PM, which was a very rare and thoughtful gesture. Despite many students and parents checking in, it never felt crowded. The elevators were fast, room service was prompt, and the little robot delivering items was adorable and busy.
The room itself was spacious and clean. The first night, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't very hot, possibly due to a high number of guests, but the bathtub was very comfortable, and the bedding was cozy. There was a slight creak when turning over, but it was acceptable. Staff were quick to respond to any extra requests. Parking was free after registering at the front desk.
Overall, the value for money is good. I recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay.FromSGD 96

This was our second stay in a slide room, and this time we booked for a whole week! The kids had a blast playing on the slide and with the building blocks right in the room. The hotel also has multiple indoor and outdoor pools, big and small, which kept the kids entertained every single day. The rooms come with a bathtub, which is perfect for a relaxing soak after all that splashing around. On days we didn't go swimming, we could head to the indoor playground or the petting zoo – there are just so many activities to choose from. Since we visited on a weekday, it wasn't crowded at all, making the experience absolutely fantastic. We really love it here!

Pros:
1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable.
2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy!
3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms.
4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty.
Cons:
1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room.
2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee.
3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable.

The Xishan Hot Spring Hotel, touted as a 'land cruise,' certainly lives up to its name. We booked a family-themed package that included daily hot spring passes for 2 adults and 1 child, breakfast, one full buffet meal, and late-night snacks. The hot springs are very distinctive, especially the fish therapy and ******* medicine pools. They even provide face masks and hot compresses. The food selection is incredibly rich, with a seafood theme, and the cold drinks feature Häagen-Dazs. The second and fifth floors offer numerous family-friendly activities like go-karts, bowling, billiards, hopscotch, and a petting zoo – you'd need more than a day to try everything. The hot springs also offer overnight packages, with a variety of spacious and uniquely designed pods on the second floor and B1, offering excellent value for money. The biggest surprise this time was the 'pet companionship' service in the room. We were lucky enough to meet the adorable Ragdoll cat, Qiuqiu, who spent an unforgettable hour with our children. It was freezing outside in winter, but super warm inside – I felt like I could wear a T-shirt, the air conditioning was excellent. The service was generally great. My child threw a beanbag up onto the ceiling, which was about three or four meters high, and the hotel staff even managed to get it down for us. I'm very grateful for that. I deducted 0.5 points for service because the front desk staff seemed clueless; when I asked where to feed the alpacas, they said they didn't know and that it was handled by the hot springs area, implying it wasn't under their management. They mentioned the hot springs and entertainment were outsourced. However, we found the alpacas just a short distance outside the hotel lobby entrance, along with geese, ducks, and chickens. There were three large and two small alpacas, and they were adorable. Do bring them some carrots and greens; they looked quite hungry. For breakfast, go early, before 8 AM, as it's very abundant. If you go later, you'll miss out on the delicious cream cakes. Dinner was a buffet due to New Year's, and the seafood was quite fresh for the hotpot. The hot springs were a bit crowded, but the kids had a good time, mostly hitting each other with ocean balls. There weren't many indoor hot spring pools, making it a bit cramped. The temperatures were all high, but it was very clean. They said there were outdoor pools too, but we didn't go as it was too cold.FromSGD 106

I had the chance to experience this 'classic' renowned hotel, and I found it quite good. Although it's a bit old and some of the facilities are dated, especially in the apartment rooms, the cleanliness is commendable and the service is excellent. The apartment rooms, despite their traditional decor and older equipment, are spacious and well-suited for families. The standard rooms have been renovated with a more modern style and contemporary amenities. While smaller, they are very comfortable to stay in. I specifically requested a high floor for a better view! I also sampled the food at 'Changan One' and 'Tea Source,' ordered a birthday cake from 'Su Yuan,' and tried the breakfast buffet. Halfway through my trip, I rarely write reviews, but the Rosewood Beijing truly exceeded my expectations. Initially, I had only planned to stay for one night, but I ended up extending it to three nights! Here’s why:
1. The service was incredibly attentive. From check-in to room amenities and the hotel's comprehensive facilities, including the tranquil executive lounge, it’s an ideal choice for a summer family trip. Despite a few minor hiccups, Pauling's thoughtful arrangements truly highlighted the Rosewood's brand charm. My top choices for Beijing used to be the Mandarin Oriental, The Peninsula, or the Four Seasons, but now I’m definitely a Rosewood convert.
2. I particularly loved the 6th-floor wellness area. The pool and gym are separated, and the interplay of sunlight and water reflections is both beautiful and relaxing. The gym is spacious with diverse equipment. One afternoon, I even coincidentally saw a top-tier Chinese celebrity discreetly working out there.
3. The aesthetic design is excellent. Although the hotel has been open for a while, the attention to detail in its maintenance is evident. Having stayed in many luxury hotels in Beijing, the Rosewood consistently earns my trust across all aspects.

The location is super convenient, near Dengshikou subway station, making it easy to access food, drinks, and entertainment.
While the hotel facilities are a bit old, they've made efforts to renovate in small areas, such as the bedside and desk, adding outlets and power strips, which was very helpful for my work and meetings. I do think the showerhead should be replaced with a larger one and the water pressure improved.
The breakfast seemed diverse, but not many items were particularly tasty. The hot dishes were average, and the juice wasn't natural, definitely not up to five-star standards.
