It was really convenient to be able to enter right away with a QR code. Since I couldn't visit the castle right away, I visited as a second-best option, and the whole family had a great time.

A good spot from which to view the Forbidden City as a whole. I recommend walking through the park and visiting the buildings within.

Xiucai said that Jiang Shangyi gave us a guided tour of Jingshan Park today. Guide Jiang contacted us in advance. Her service was warm and attentive; she waited for us at the meeting point early. She even gave the children small gifts. She interacted with the children during the tour. Through her explanation, we learned about the history of Jingshan Park. Jingshan has the second-highest number of ancient trees in Beijing, making it a natural oasis. The panoramic view of the Forbidden City from Wanchun Pavilion was truly breathtaking. This is arguably the best scenic spot in Beijing, and Guide Jiang's explanation made the trip worthwhile! Highly recommended by Xiucai!

It's definitely worth a visit; the park has an observation deck. Beijing is visible at a glance. We visited in winter, so there weren't many blooming plants, but in summer it's absolutely stunning!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Best Panoramic View of the Forbidden CityJingshan Park was a wonderful and refreshing place to visit in Beijing. The highlight is definitely the view from the top of the hill, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Forbidden City and the city skyline beyond — one of the best viewpoints in Beijing. The park itself is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained, making it a great place to take a relaxing walk. The gardens, pavilions, and tree-lined paths are lovely, and it was nice to see locals enjoying the space, singing, exercising, and relaxing. This is an excellent spot for photos, especially on a clear day or near sunset. Highly recommended as a perfect complement to a visit to the Forbidden City.

About Jingshan Park

About Jingshan Park

Jingshan Park is a historical site in the center of Beijing, located on the city's central axis. For centuries (from the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty), this place was always the imperial garden where emperors hunted, practiced archery and paid homage to their ancestors. Today, it is a park that is beloved for its scenery and greenery, and was even listed by UNESCO as part of Beijing's central axis in 2024.

  • Key history: It was built with clay from the moat of the Forbidden City and was the "backyard" of the royal family before opening to the public in 1928.
  • The most attractive part: Jingshan (the center of the park) has five peaks, and each peak has a pavilion. The Wanchun Pavilion in the middle offers the best view of the Forbidden City.
  • Natural highlight: The largest peony garden in Beijing (with over 20,000 flowers and more than 200 varieties) opens in May.

Director Ren is young, beautiful, and has a lovely voice. Our family of nine booked a small group tour, and she contacted us the day before to give us the route. On the day of the Lunar New Year, the place was packed with people, and she was already waiting on the road. When everyone was carrying flags, her little floral umbrella was easy to spot. Her explanations along the way were lively and interesting, and her speaking speed was just right; both the elderly and children listened with great interest. At the end, she even reminded us of the exit and dining directions, which was wonderful.

This was my first visit to Beijing. I joined a Ctrip-operated one-day tour of the Badaling Great Wall/Summer Palace + Old Summer Palace, guided by Mr. Ding Feipeng. Along the way, I not only witnessed the magnificent scenery of our motherland and learned about China's long history and stories, but also felt the profound historical weight of Beijing. Our guide, Mr. Ding Feipeng, is not only knowledgeable about history but also a promoter of Chinese culture. I particularly admired his ability to help children understand the culture established by their ancestors, their origins, and cultivate a long-term perspective. Although I only spent seven hours with Mr. Ding Feipeng, he was truly a wonderful and special guide. His arrangements were meticulous and thoughtful, broadening my horizons and enhancing my cultural awareness. I hope to have the opportunity to meet him again in the future, and I wish him success in his work and a happy family life.

We booked a day trip from Beijing to the Great Wall (Mutianyu section) including round-trip bus transfer and entrance tickets, and everything was exactly as described. The group bus transfer from Beijing to the Great Wall and back was smooth and well organized. The schedule was respected, and we felt everything was clear and easy from the start. The guide on the bus was very helpful. He explained how to move around the wall, what to expect on the west and east sides, and gave useful tips to help us plan our visit better. Thanks to his explanations, we were able to make the most of our time there. He also offered some additional services at a fair price, without any pressure. Overall, we are very satisfied with the experience and would definitely recommend this service to anyone wanting an easy and well-organized trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall.

This hall showcases the high level of ancient Chinese architecture and is the second largest architectural complex on the central axis after the Forbidden City.
  • The five pavilions on the mountain (Zhou Shang, Guan Miao, Wan Chun, Ji Fang, and Fu LAN) each have their own unique style. The Wanchun Pavilion in the middle is the most suitable for a bird 's-eye view.
  • Prince Qi's Tower: Located at the foot of Jingshan Mountain, it once housed the memorial tablet of Confucius. Now, it is an exhibition space for art and cultural projects. Its double-eaved roof and marble fence are typical of royal architecture.
