Pan Pacific Xiamen — Disappointing Hardware, Good Staff Our stay at Pan Pacific Xiamen was unfortunately below expectations for a hotel of this level. The biggest issue is that the property and rooms feel significantly dated and in need of refurbishment. The room design, including the excessive use of mirrors, feels from another era, while the television is surprisingly small by current hotel standards. Soundproofing was also poor, which affected the overall comfort of the stay. We were equally disappointed with the restaurant. Both the quality and portion sizes of the food did not meet our expectations, particularly considering the positioning and pricing of the hotel. This is an area that seriously needs improvement. The location is reasonably convenient, but not enough to compensate for the ageing rooms and other shortcomings. The hotel's saving grace is its staff. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and genuinely eager to assist, which we appreciated very much. However, while the attitude was consistently positive, there were moments where we felt additional hospitality and service training would help the team deliver a more polished five-star experience. Overall, there are good people working here, but the physical product and some aspects of the hospitality experience are falling behind newer hotels in Xiamen. A substantial refurbishment, together with further service development, would make a significant difference. Rating: 6/10.

I've stayed at a Marco Polo hotel before in Beijing and had a great experience, so I chose to stay at this one in Xiamen. It's an established five-star hotel with an excellent location. The room, although a little dated, was very clean and comfortable. The front desk, greeters, and housekeeping staff were all incredibly polite. Overall, the environment and service were superb. While a few individual staff members could use some improvement (I won't name names, it's not important and didn't affect the overall stay), I'm still giving it a five-star rating. This place is definitely worth considering when visiting Xiamen!

Overall, it was a good stay. The room facilities were moderately new, and the bathroom was quite nice, though it was a bit disappointing not to have a smart toilet. The room was very clean, and the view was also good. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. As an international brand, the service was impeccable and very thoughtful. For this price point in Xiamen, it offers excellent value for money. It's worth mentioning that the Japanese Teppanyaki on the second floor is great value; the 129 yuan single set meal offers a generous amount of food.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and offers pick-up and drop-off services. They even provide shuttle services to and from concert venues, which is a big plus! The room was spacious and well-lit, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. It would be great if the TV supported screen mirroring. After the concert, there were a lot of food delivery orders, and when the robots couldn't keep up, the front desk staff and security guards helped deliver them. I really appreciate their help!

Great hotel for families with kids in Xiamen! The hotel is located right under the flight path of Gaoqi Airport, so if you're lucky, you can watch planes take off and land directly from your room, which is super exciting for little ones. We were already very satisfied with our online booking for a triple family city-view room, which included both breakfast and supper. What made us even happier was that upon check-in, the hotel informed us that for a small extra charge, we could upgrade to a family sea-view room, which was larger than our original booking. The view from the sea-view room was a special surprise that truly excited the children. It's hard to describe or capture in photos, so I highly recommend experiencing it yourself – it's definitely worth it. The hotel's location is excellent. There's a bus stop and a subway station right outside, and getting a taxi is also very convenient. It's close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, which is lively and just a short walk away. The service at the hotel was very attentive; they even provided a clothes drying rack. The breakfast and supper were part of the package and complimentary, featuring local specialty snacks, making them very rich and thoughtful. We were very pleased with our stay this time. Finally, I took a picture of the lobby and the night view from our room window. Thumbs up! One choice of either a triple self-service afternoon tea or a self-service supper: superb and very thoughtful.

Staying at the Pullman Xiamen Powerlong truly exceeded my expectations, making my entire trip experience fantastic. The hotel boasts a unique location, within walking distance of Yuandang Lake. Strolling along the lake in the evening, enjoying the breeze and watching the city lights reflect on the water, was incredibly relaxing. The front desk staff were meticulous and attentive; check-in was efficient and swift. They also patiently recommended authentic Minnan snacks and lesser-known local spots, helping us avoid tourist crowds. The room had excellent natural light, with soft and comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing, allowing me to fully unwind after a tiring journey. The hotel’s heated swimming pool had clean water, perfect for a relaxing swim. Whether for a business trip or a family vacation, this hotel is definitely a top choice for accommodation in Xiamen 👍👍👍

She meticulously shared all the hotel's activity guides, explaining the schedules and important notes very clearly. She even thoughtfully helped us book hotel activities, saving us the trouble of planning ourselves. The hotel's attention to detail was outstanding. Our room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the public areas were well-maintained, creating a quiet and elegant atmosphere. The staff were responsive, and their service was gentle and attentive. From the pre-arrival communication to our time at the hotel, we felt comfortable and relaxed. Le Méridien Xiamen Garden View Balcony King Room Stay Review: A Healing Retreat Amidst a Full House The sky had already darkened upon arrival. Winding our way up the tree-lined paths of Xian'gueshan Mountain, the air gradually became moist and cool. It felt like a magical escape from the bustling, humid city, into a 'city oasis' nestled in the mountains. The moment I opened the room door after checking in, the fatigue from the journey instantly melted away. Room | A Mountain Holiday Opened by a Courtyard The room felt very spacious, with a layout of about 40 square meters that was just right. What surprised me the most, naturally, was the exquisite private balcony. Le Méridien's room types each offer different views, and I chose the garden view balcony room specifically for a quiet, relaxing stay. After all, in a mountain setting surrounded by dense vegetation, a few insects are perfectly normal, and the garden view neatly sidestepped that issue. Opening the window in the morning, the lush green central courtyard came into view. Instead of the city's hustle and bustle, I heard the crisp, pleasant chirping of morning birds and the sweet, fresh air blowing from the mountains. I couldn't help but close my eyes and take several deep breaths. Returning to the room in the evening, I lay on the balcony chair, clearing my mind, sipping an iced cola while enjoying the mountain breeze—this is exactly what a vacation should be like. The room's hardware can be summed up in two words: solid and reliable. Beyond being clean and tidy, the 'rainforest' shower's stable water pressure and temperature were truly impressive. The hotel also thoughtfully implemented a dry-wet separation in the bathroom, completely eliminating the awkwardness of worrying about splashing the toilet while showering. The experience was very comfortable and smooth. The bedding, as always, maintained Le Méridien's high standards, soft, fluffy, and supportive, allowing me to sleep soundly until I woke up naturally. Environment | French Romance Hidden in the Mountains If the guest room brought surprise, then the entire hotel environment was stunning. Le Méridien Xiamen's location is meticulously chosen, nestled charmingly on the mountainside of Xian'gueshan. The overall architectural style leans towards a resort villa, so secluded and tranquil that it doesn't feel like it's in the bustling downtown area of the island. Compared to many coastal hotels that face the humidity and noise of sea winds, the mountain landscape here truly provides another level of spiritual enjoyment. The hotel's artistic atmosphere, from the corridors to the public spaces, everywhere you can feel the unique imprint of French aesthetics. Whether it's the artistic flair of the chandeliers or the fragrance in the lobby, everything constantly reminds me that I'm staying in a stylish Le Méridien. The dense vegetation surrounding the hotel makes it feel like living in a natural oxygen bar. A morning jog in Xian'gueshan Park, enjoying the pleasure of sweating freely in the mountains, is a unique experience that you can never feel in a hotel gym. Service and Details | Thoughtfulness Hidden in Every Detail The staff, from the front desk to the concierge, maintained a perfectly measured, welcoming smile. During check-in, the front desk lady patiently asked about my preferences. Knowing that I valued privacy and quiet, she specifically helped arrange a room set apart from other guests on the same floor, handling everything gently and efficiently, which was truly heartwarming. The hotel also provides a free shuttle bus service down the mountain, making it convenient to travel to the Seaworld shopping center and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. On weekends and holidays, there's even a free shuttle bus connecting to popular attractions like Zhongshan Road and Baicheng Beach. One evening, a guest was inconsiderately skipping rope upstairs; after calling the front desk, they responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly! Truly commendable! Conclusion On the day of check-out, the morning sun still gently warmed the garden view balcony, as if possessing a magic that made me reluctant to close the door and leave. To be honest, I've stayed in many hotels, but rarely have I felt such a pang of reluctance upon departure as this time. It embodies the entire mountain forest, yet never strays from the human world, truly interpreting the beautiful realm of 'hidden in the bustling city, yet nestled in the mountains.' If you long for a tranquil vacation experience, listening to the wind on the mountainside, then Le Méridien Xiamen's Garden View Balcony King Room is definitely worth unlocking!

Here's my review: **Pros:** 1. The environment is absolutely top-notch. 2. The service staff, including the security personnel, are exceptionally helpful and resolve any issues you might have. Other staff members proactively greet guests. I'd particularly like to mention Fiona, Sylvia Wang, and Doris Zhang by name, though all the other service staff were superb too! Give them a raise! 3. Fiona kindly brought me welcome snacks and a welcome gift. **Cons:** 1. As soon as I entered the room, there was a strong, musty old furniture smell. It was incredibly heavy, and it even woke me up once during the night. The hotel really needs to replace its furniture, or at least some of the wooden elements like doors and wardrobes, as the moldy wood smell is too overpowering. The room door also looks very old and definitely needs replacing! (Fiona did provide an air purifier, but that's just a temporary fix). 2. As you can see in Picture 3, the hangers are also very old, and age makes them look dirty. 3. The small makeup mirror in the bathroom kept drooping and wouldn't stay up. It should be replaced. 4. The TV is also very old – an ancient Philips model. The remote control is sluggish, taking ages to change channels, which was frustrating to watch. 5. The hotel lacks robots. They should invest in delivery robots so guests can easily have food delivered to their rooms. 6. The breakfast selection is rich and varied. I highly recommend the wontons and waffles. The lady making waffles and the gentleman and lady cooking wontons were all very enthusiastic. (Give them a raise!) In summary, the smell in the room is arguably this hotel's biggest flaw, but it's not something that can be changed quickly. It will depend on the owner's decision.

Out of my two-week trip, the Renaissance Xiamen Hotel was what I was looking forward to the most 🏨, but reality hit us hard. This was, surprisingly, the most disappointing stay of the entire journey. 👇 💢 **Noise Nightmare** Late at night, guests upstairs were still jumping around 💃, and then in the early hours, I was woken up by the chattering of the aunties next door 🗣️. I spent the entire night in torment 😫. After complaining, the front desk actually blamed the parents?! ”We can't control children jumping around.” This response definitely deserves a bad review 🙅‍♀️. 💢 **Service Fails** I asked for two bowls when checking in 🥣, but even this simple request was messed up ❌. What's worse: I asked for them around 10 PM when I checked in, and they didn't arrive until almost midnight 🕛. The efficiency was simply abysmal. 💢 **Chaotic Environment** The hotel entrance was crowded with vendors' stalls 💥. Is this really a five-star hotel? 🤔 ✨ **Only Positives** The bedding was indeed comfortable 🛏️, and the breakfast selection was quite rich 🥐. The decor was truly distinctive (too bad I had no mood for photos 📸). **Summary:** Came with high expectations, left utterly disappointed 😔. Suggest avoiding this one! ‼️

This isn't my first time staying here, and I really love it; the experience is consistently great. The breakfast selection changes a bit daily, always featuring authentic Southern Fujian specialties. There's a wide variety and the food tastes excellent. The room is also very dorm-like, quiet, and the bed is fantastic, leading to naturally high-quality sleep. The only minor downside is that the pool isn't very big, but the water quality is excellent. Also, our butler, Merry, took great care of us. For example, she'd ask what we wanted refilled in the minibar and prepared turn-down service nightly before we came back (which included a pre-sleep dessert, a floor mat next to the bed, and indoor slippers).

My stay at the Xiamen Beihaiwan Hualuxe Wanda Hotel was fantastic! A special shout-out to VIP Manager Kira for her incredibly thoughtful service throughout. She was professional, efficient, and meticulous, arranging everything in advance and proactively addressing all my needs. Her attitude was always gentle and patient. The hotel boasts stunning ocean views, excellent facilities, and delicious food. Paired with Kira's exclusive service, my entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. Highly recommend it – I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

Very nice and class hotel. Very convenient, next to Wan Guo mall n lots of eateries nearby. We booked for 1 bedroom suites and upgraded to 2 bedrooms suites with top up of rmb 100, very worth it. With suites booking, we can enjoy tea break between 230-4pm and happy hours from 530pm to 830pm, we met Nora at happy hours, she make good cocktails for us based on our preferences. Will go back to this hotel when we travel to Xiamen again.

It was great, and most importantly, I was able to store my luggage there. I was going to Quanzhou for an overnight trip and didn't want to carry too many bags. The Hanting Hotel let me store my luggage, which was very convenient. I'll choose this hotel again next time I visit.

My first stay at the Hyatt Regency Xiamen Wuyuan Bay last March left such a great impression that I couldn't stop thinking about it. So, when I specifically came to Xiamen for a concert this time, I didn't hesitate to choose this familiar hotel again. Comparing my two stays: Visiting again after a year, the overall experience had some subtle changes. Compared to last year, the doorman's enthusiasm seemed to have slightly waned, and the turndown service felt a bit perfunctory, although the service attitude was still quite good. Additionally, the food quality at the Club Lounge and the first-floor breakfast restaurant had a slight decline; it's no longer something I'd go out of my way to experience. Highlights of my stay: Despite the slight dip in dining details, the concierge service at the hotel remained consistently high-standard and was the biggest plus point of my entire stay. During the concert period, the hotel's exclusive shuttle bus service was well-organized, making the entire journey worry-free. I connected with Irene, the Concierge Manager, via WeChat a week in advance, and our communication was very smooth. Just like last year, upon returning to the hotel, there was still a handwritten welcome card and fresh fruit, a testament to the concierge team's thoughtfulness. Club Lounge Suite: Both stays offered different delightful room experiences. Last year, I stayed in room 1319. This time, traveling with my mother, I opted for the Club Lounge Suite 1815, which was perfectly suited for a family trip. The room was spacious and expansive, with a bright and open view, making for maximum living comfort. Although the hotel has been open for nine years, the guest rooms are very well-maintained. As night falls, the warm wooden textures in the room exude a sense of luxury, showcasing that classic Hyatt quality. Hyatt Hotels' Pharmacopia bath amenities are also a long-time favorite of mine. Perhaps it's not the best hotel in Xiamen, but among my numerous trips to Xiamen, it remains my most reliable and preferred choice.

I chose this hotel for a layover; it's very close to the airport, just a five-minute bike ride away. The check-in experience was great, much better than I expected. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to get around and find food. The room was very clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, allowing for an undisturbed night's rest. The hot water in the bathroom was consistent, and the front desk staff was efficient with check-ins and had a warm, friendly attitude. Overall, it offers good value for money, and I had a very comfortable stay.

This has to be the most satisfying hotel I've ever stayed in. As soon as we entered the room, we were amazed by its layout and furnishings. The iron bunk beds were an instant hit with the kids; they were climbing up and down, playing non-stop. The room was also very clean, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. My whole family loved it, and we'll definitely be back if we pass through Xiamen again! 🌹🌹

We arrived on the island during a torrential downpour and booked a hotel on the spur of the moment. I'd only heard about the unique architecture of the hotel, but after checking in, everything was excellent. The service was especially attentive and responsive. I got caught in the rain on the way in, and the front desk staff provided hot ginger tea. After checking in, I requested afternoon tea, which was also promptly delivered to my room. I'm especially grateful for the laundry service and luggage delivery to the dock, which greatly enhanced my travel experience. The food at the hotel and its own restaurant was also excellent, saving me the trouble of dining out on rainy days. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.
