The room was excellent, I was very satisfied. I went to run a marathon and brought my family along for a trip. Choosing Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian was a great decision. I booked the Zoo Adventure room for a day, which was perfect for the kids to play in, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a beautiful view outside the window. It's located in the Shenzhen CBD, with convenient access to shopping malls, restaurants, and transportation nearby. I had initially booked a king-size room, but the front desk staff kindly upgraded us to the room we had previously stayed in, saving us the hassle of moving luggage, which was wonderful. The young man at the front desk, surnamed Bao, was handsome and very kind. He even prepared my energy breakfast for me at 5 AM on the morning of my marathon, which was incredibly thoughtful. The front desk service was excellent; they even upgraded my executive room to a suite and checked in with me during my stay to see if I was happy with the room and its orientation 👍. The food and beverages in the executive lounge were also quite varied. Considering the price I paid that day, it was excellent value for money, especially since I had just stayed in another very cost-effective executive room in Beijing the previous week. My only minor complaints are that the lobby feels a bit old-fashioned and lacks a grander atmosphere, not as comfortable as the Shangri-La next door for meeting guests or having tea. This is the best value-for-money hotel in Futian. While not newly renovated, its style and design are classic and beautiful.
The front desk kindly upgraded me to a junior suite. Both the living room and bedroom featured large floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic views.
I only had two minor issues: First, housekeeping forgot to provide bottled water. I only realized there wasn't any in the room late at night and had to call room service to get some. Also, upon check-in, I noticed that one of the drawers on either side of the living room was half open and the other was closed, indicating that room service attention to detail could be improved. Second, the room had some smart amenities, but their effectiveness was minimal. For example, the electric trash can and automatic kettle – the latter was actually broken, as the water I set to 100 degrees was still cold after half an hour. Ironically, the things that truly needed an upgrade weren't. On one side of the bed, only the time display had a charging port; one port didn't work, and the other made a loud noise when charging. I ended up having to use the old-fashioned outlet on the other side of the bed. If renovations are planned, I'd suggest focusing on these essential areas.
Overall, the positives far outweigh these minor drawbacks. The lobby decor is magnificent, with a strong Christmas atmosphere, and the service was excellent. It's a hotel I really like.FromDKK 873

Facilities: You can tell it used to be a high-end guesthouse or something similar. The decor style is very retro, and it has all the essentials. However, the air conditioning doesn't have heating, which might be a knowledge gap for someone from the north. It's been particularly cold these past few days with the temperature drop. But after communicating with the front desk, they brought us an electric heater, which worked great!
Hygiene: It was very clean, but since the hotel is old, it inevitably has some aged parts, which is not a big deal.
Environment: It's located right above Shaibu Station, so transportation is very convenient. It only takes twenty minutes by subway from Shaibu Station to the border crossing, and there are many dining options nearby.

First of all, the room itself was exceptionally comfortable. From the moment I walked in, everything—from the bedding and lighting to the layout and overall ambience—made it easy to relax. The room was clearly very well maintained, with no signs of wear or aging. The décor felt modern yet warm, and the attention to upkeep was evident in every detail, from the furniture to the bathroom facilities. Returning to the room each day felt comforting and familiar, which is something not every hotel can achieve.
At check-in, there was a short wait for the room due to availability, but the experience was handled extremely well. A Guest Relation Specialist proactively approached me, kindly checked in on my situation, and thoughtfully added me on WeChat so that assistance would always be easily accessible. From that point onward, communication became seamless. Whether I had questions, requests, or needed help at any time during my stay, support was always just a message away, with quick and attentive responses that made me feel truly cared for.
I would especially like to thank Loyalty Manager Mr. Cao for arranging a room upgrade. The upgraded room offered more space and a better overall experience, which elevated my stay significantly. This gesture made me feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, rather than just another reservation.
Although there was construction nearby during my stay, the hotel’s sound insulation was excellent. Noise never became an issue, and my rest was completely undisturbed. Both nights were quiet and restful, and I slept extremely well—something I truly appreciated.
In the afternoon, the Guest Relations team kindly assisted in arranging the JW Christmas–themed afternoon tea. The presentation, quality, and festive atmosphere were outstanding. It was clear that great care had gone into the experience, and it added a wonderful sense of occasion to my stay. This was definitely a highlight and deserves high praise.
The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Traveling to the airport in the morning was incredibly convenient, saving both time and stress. At the same time, the hotel is not far from Xiangmi Lake Park, making it equally suitable for leisure walks and relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, the location truly feels ideal.
In the evening, based on a recommendation from the Guest Relations team, I visited the bar on the fourth floor—and I’m very glad I did. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially under the moonlight, creating a calm and romantic setting that made the night feel special. I highly recommend the Moscow Mule there—it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I’ve had.
Another thoughtful touch was the arrangement of a late check-out by the Guest Relations team. This allowed me to rest a bit longer and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed, which made a big difference before departure.
Breakfast was also very impressive. The selection was extensive and well organized. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with clear flow and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In addition, food deliveries were conveniently handled by service robots, which was both efficient and fun, adding a modern and thoughtful touch to the stay.
Overall, this hotel excels not only in facilities, but also in service quality and attention to detail. The environment here is a reflection of how subpar Shenzhen's city planning is! There's construction happening all around. I asked the front desk for a quiet room, and they assured me it wouldn't be noisy. To my surprise, it truly was quiet – a miracle! The room came with a charging cable, a UK-style power outlet, a fridge, and the TV was clear and easy on the eyes, with a working remote. Even though the window was sealed, there were no strange odors in the room or hallway, thanks to scheduled air purification. The lobby takes up almost an entire floor and has a grand, historic feel to it. The nearby convenience store was also well-stocked and useful. The location is superb, very close to MixC Luohu, and the hotel's own KKMall is also worth exploring. I even received a Christmas gift box after the holiday. The only minor downside was the long check-in wait; it was delayed from 3 PM to almost 5 PM. Luckily, the butler offered a St. Regis bear to my child, which helped calm their impatience. It is family focused, very clean, rooms are spacious, food is good (especially the breakfast) & there is PLENTY to keep young people occupied. When we booked, we informed the hotel's 'Little Manager Wan' that it was our child's birthday. They went above and beyond by decorating our room and even providing a delicious birthday cake. Our child was so surprised and absolutely loved the special celebratory touch. The room was also meticulously clean and tidy; you could tell they put a lot of care into everything. Just below the hotel is a clean and uncrowded beach with crystal-clear water and dedicated safety management, which our child thoroughly enjoyed.
As I was in my late pregnancy, the complimentary travel photoshoot offered by the hotel was incredibly professional. The photographer was skilled, friendly, highly interactive, and humorous, capturing exactly the natural and warm shots we wanted. The surrounding hotel environment also looked fantastic in the photos. We selected a few photos as keepsakes. A big thumbs up to the travel photographer – highly recommended!
There are plenty of activities for kids at the hotel. Our child rode the mini train, and there's also a small ball pit playground and even a cinema, offering a very relaxing and therapeutic experience with films that all the children loved. What I particularly recommend is the pet paradise. Our child has always wanted a pet but we haven't allowed it at home, so this was a chance for a close-up encounter with animals. Kids can pick up the small animals, feed them, pet them, and interact with them up close.
The hotel's breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and varied. We also had lunch at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and the food there was delicious – definitely worth recommending.

The room facilities were all great, especially the view from the window which was truly therapeutic. I could even hear the sound of the waves at night as I fell asleep.
