I checked in at Seoul Station and traveled comfortably to Incheon Airport without carrying any luggage. After paying the fare here, I went to the A'REX official website, selected the date, time, and seat, and the fare was displayed again, but when I entered the number in the payment selection, the amount became 0 yen. The method is a little confusing, so I think it's best to search for instructions beforehand to make it smoother. If you book early, you can choose your seat.

I was able to purchase tickets slightly cheaper than on other sites thanks to Trip.com's member discounts and coupons! I'm very happy with the great deal! You can use the number issued by Trip.com by entering it on the train ticket payment screen of the AREX official booking site. I was worried I wouldn't make my reserved train, so I changed my train reservation on the official site, but there were no problems! I'm very satisfied! I proceeded through the official site from the screen shown in the photo!

You need to exchange the code received from Trip for a real ticket at a ticket machine or book train seats on the AREX website to get a QR code to scan at the station gate. It's recommended to book your next train upon arrival at Incheon Airport.

It's sold on other sites too, but this was the cheapest! You can't use it just by purchasing it here; you need to make a reservation on the official website following the instructions in the image. It's easy once you get the hang of it, so I plan to use it again next time. Arex is the cheapest and fastest option for the Seoul-Incheon route.

It was easy to navigate and understand, and best of all, I was able to secure a seat right away upon arriving at Seoul Station, which was very appealing. Since I made my reservation here, all I had to do was select the time and seat on the official website, which made my trip worry-free. I could also change the time and other details on the official website. On a side note, the boarding gate from the airport to Seoul Station was easy to find, but the AREX boarding gate from Seoul Station to the airport was difficult to locate.

Weekday vs weekend and holiday timetable

The Express timetable does not change throughout the week, meaning you can rely on the same departure times no matter when you visit.

There is no difference. AREX has different tables for weekday and holiday schedules for the Express, but the number of trains and the timing remain the same, regardless of your travel date. The All-Stop timetable is the one that varies by date.

Which Express train should you catch for your flight?

Selecting your return train has a lot to do with working backwards from your airport arrival time. You need to take into account check-in, bag drop and travelling from the platform to the terminals.

Say, you have to be at T1 by 18:00. In that case, trains arriving at 18:08, such as the one departing from Seoul at 17:25, will probably leave you too late! The right time to leave here would be with the 16:50 train arriving at T1 at 17:33. Check train times carefully, as they run every half hour or so. A wrong departure could significantly delay your arrival. As for T2, add 8 more minutes!

Some airlines allow Express ticket holders to check in and drop off luggage at Seoul Station City Airport Terminal prior to flying. For departures from T2, check-in is closed 3 hours and 20 minutes prior to departure. Availability and hours of airlines vary, so be sure to confirm with your airline before travelling.

The All-Stop service offers more frequent departures and more stations, making it useful for several popular areas of Seoul and the surrounding region.

The All-Stop train works like a subway, making it a convenient choice if you're staying outside central Seoul. You can tap in with a transport card, and no reservation is needed.

Aqua Planet Jeju is said to be one of the largest aquariums in South Korea and one of the top ten in the world. The main tank, "The Sea of Jeju," is visually stunning. We lingered there for a long time, and the music playing in the hall brought a sense of peace and awe for nature. Nearby are Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and Seopjikoji, which can be included in the same itinerary.

Seoul Station and airport departures

Latest Official Timetable

In view of the fact that all-stop trains run very frequently, it is generally better to give just first and last timings rather than a complete list of departures.

Trains run every few minutes during the day, so first and last stops are more important than a complete list of trains. The operator writes the timings for times past midnight in 24:xx format.

⚠️ Be aware of the last trains running. Until about 11:50 PM, some services are terminated at the Digital Media City station instead of Seoul Station. The midnight train leaving from Seoul Station only arrives at Geomam. It is advisable to check the destination on the display in the station.

Weekday vs weekend differences

All-Stop services differ based on the day, meaning that you should look for the right timetable for your trip.

All-Stop schedules do change for Saturday and Sunday, unlike Express schedules, which remain unchanged for such days. While start-and-end trains are the same, individual departures will change by several minutes each day. Relying on the weekday table while travelling on a Sunday will lead to getting the wrong times, so make sure you use the right one at the station.

The fare for children aged between 13 and 18 is ₩900 plus 80% of the same fare. First and Last Train: What If You Land Late?

AREX Express Train

Late arrivals require more planning than simply checking the final scheduled departure. You still need time to clear immigration, collect your bags and reach the platform.

Last Trains from Incheon Airport

The last Express leaves T2 at 22:40 and T1 at 22:48. The last All-Stop train reaching Seoul Station leaves T2 at 23:32 and T1 at 23:38. Later trains at 23:50 and 23:56 only run as far as Digital Media City.

If you're close to a cut-off, check the live train page once you've cleared arrivals.

After that, your options are night buses or taxis. Night buses run from the airport transport centre to central Seoul and Gangnam, but routes and times can change. Check the airport's current timetable before travelling. Taxis also have a night surcharge, which can make them much more expensive than daytime journeys.

First Trains for Early Flights

For early flights, the first Express from Seoul Station leaves at 06:00 and reaches T1 at 06:43. The first All-Stop leaves Seoul Station at 05:20 and takes about an hour.

If you need to check in earlier than either train allows, you'll need a taxi or another route.
