JR Kyushu Pass
JR Kyushu Pass can be divided into three different types: All Kyushu, North Kyushu, and South Kyushu, each with its own applicable range.
JP All Kyushu Pass Applicable Areas
It can be used throughout the All Kyushu region. It includes the following trains in the Kyushu region:
- Ordinary trains
- Express trains
- Kyushu Shinkansen (between Hakata and Kagoshima Central)
- West Kyushu Shinkansen (between Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki)

JP Northern Kyushu Pass Applicable Areas
JP Northern Kyushu Pass can be used in Fukuoka, Oita, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Saga and other northern Kyushu regions.
Applicable to the following trains in Kumamoto/Triangle and north regionsof Oita:
- Local Trains
- Limited Express Trains
- Kyushu Shinkansen (between Hakata and Kumamoto)
- West Kyushu Shinkansen (between Takeo Onsen and Nagasaki)

JP Southern Kyushu Pass Applicable Areas
JP Southern Kyushu Pass is applicable in the southern Kyushu regions, including Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, etc.
Applicable to the following trains in the regions south of Kumamoto and Oita:
- Regular trains
- Limited express trains
- Kyushu Shinkansen (between Kumamoto and Kagoshima Central District)

JR Sanyo & Sanin PASS Applicable Areas
You can ride unlimitedly within the valid area on the map.

You can use the following trains (reserved seats):
- Reserved seats on the Sanyo Shinkansen (Ordinary Car Reserved Seats) (Shin-Osaka⇔Hakata)
- Limited Express trains HARUKA, YAKUMO, KONOTORI etc.
- JR West Japan's New Rapid (Shin-Kaisoku), Rapid (Kaisoku), and Local trains (Ordinary trains)
- JR-West Miyajima Ferry (Miyajimaguchi⇔Miyajima)
- West JR Bus valid only for local routes. Cannot take the highway bus.
JR Hiroshima & Yamaguchi PASS Applicable Areas
Hiroshima-Yamaguchi Area pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area on the map:

E-Ticket validity period: Physical tickets can be redeemed within three months from the date of issuance of the E-Ticket. The applicable dates after redemption are consecutive calendar days (calculated from the first use). *When redeeming at a designated location in Japan, please specify a date within one month as the start date. |

Eligibility for JR Kyushu Pass
The JR Kyushu Pass is only applicable to the following groups:
- Non-Japanese tourists visiting Japan.
- Those with short-term stay visas indicated on their passports (tourist visa, business visa, three-year multiple-entry tourist visa, etc.).
✨Note✨:
- Long-term visas (student visa, work visa, etc.) are not eligible for purchase.
- The same passenger is not allowed to purchase or exchange multiple tickets of the same type during the same period.
JR Kyushu Pass Ticket Inspection
1. Prepare your JR PASS
Before entering the station, please have your JR PASS ready to quickly present to the station staff.
2. Go to the manual ticket gate/use the automatic ticket gate
Some JR Passes require manual ticket inspection at the station entrance. For some JR Passes, you can use the automatic ticket gate to put the ticket in and enter the station directly. Please confirm with station staff in advance.
3. Present your JR Pass
Present your JR PASS to the station staff. If this is your first time, be sure to show the cover of your pass so station staff can see the details on the inside pages.
4. Stamp to confirm start date
If your pass is used for the first time, station staff will stamp the date on the back of the pass. This date stamp marks the beginning of the consecutive period of use of your pass (usually 5 days). From this day on, you will be able to use designated trains and routes by JR Hokkaido for unlimited times the following consecutive days. If you use the automatic ticket gate to enter the station, your ticket will be automatically printed with the date of entry.
5. Pass the ticket gate
After the station staff verifies your JR PASS, you will be allowed to pass the ticket gate. Bear in mind this verification process will need to be performed every time you enter or exit the station.

1. Fukuoka
It is the largest city on Kyushu Island and is a hub for various types of culture, commerce, and transportation. It is known for Fukuoka Castle, Ohori Park, and Hakata, a traditional district known for ramen and shopping.

2. Nagasaki
Known for its tragic history of being the second city to be destroyed by an atomic bomb during World War II, Nagasaki has risen from the ashes to become a beautiful, community-oriented city. The Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Museum, and Dutch-inspired architecture are among the city's highlights.

3. Kumamoto
The city is renowned for its picturesque Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's three premier castles. The Kumamoto Prefectural Traditional Crafts Center and Suizenji Garden are also famous attractions.

4. Beppu
This is one of Japan's most popular hot spring resorts, famous for its unique "Hells", which are several spectacular hot springs for viewing instead of bathing.

5. Kagoshima
