Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|2.8km from city center
This hotel is located in the Central Street business district, making it convenient for shopping. It has five floors, but the building is quite old, and in my opinion, it doesn't quite meet a five-diamond standard. First, the pros: The rooms in Block A are spacious and well-renovated. The hotel was proactive in addressing issues, and the service attitude was good. The location is convenient, being just over 500 meters from Central Street and the Songhua River, so it's not too far. Taxis are readily available, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Now for the cons: The cleanliness wasn't great; I found hair in the corners of the floor after checking in. The facilities also weren't up to par; for example, the hairdryer was broken, and each room seemed to have a different brand of hairdryer. The electric kettle was hot to the touch, and the hot water temperature for showering during the day wasn't high. The restaurant had limited variety, and the food quality was average. There's basically no view from the window. Finally, a major complaint: If you've booked a room in Block B, I'd recommend not staying there. The room decor is cheap, and the view from the window is terrible, mostly power lines. Block B is separated from Block A by a central garden, and the breakfast restaurant is in Block A. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel and Trip.com's service, as issues were actively coordinated and resolved immediately. However, I was quite dissatisfied with the hotel stay itself. I booked based on Trip.com's five-diamond rating, choosing to trust the platform, but the actual experience was significantly different from a five-diamond standard. I suggest the platform strictly vet hotels to prevent inflated reviews from affecting ratings and misleading consumers. This is a genuine stay and an objective review, hoping to help other consumers and encourage the hotel to improve its hardware facilities and operate based on real quality.

Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|2.42km from city center
The hotel is ideally located right on Central Street. Its rich historical charm is a significant selling point. Since my child and I have different routines, I listened to the hotel's introduction twice – once with my husband and once with my child – and the experiences were quite different. The first young lady rattled through the information quickly, almost like reciting from memory. However, the second gentleman was very enthusiastic, telling stories, reminding us to record and take photos, interacting with my child, and even offering to get house-made yogurt for the little one, which was wonderful. The hotel introductions seem to follow a standard template and are a bit too short. Adding more stories would enhance the experience; for example, the introductions at Suzhou Nan Yuan Hotel are particularly engaging. The hotel kettle is truly ancient. The lid pops open while boiling water, and it doesn't automatically switch off when the water boils, leading to it boiling dry. This is genuinely poor and poses a safety hazard. At breakfast, I asked for sesame oil for my child's noodles, and the noodle-making auntie initially said there wasn't any. I then asked if she could get some from the back kitchen, and she did eventually get some for my child. Overall, the stay was decent, but as a five-star hotel, it needs to improve its service, facilities, and staff training.

The Shangri-La Hotel Harbin is well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is fantastic, and the hotel's location on Youyi Road is very convenient for transportation. The rooms are comfortable, making it an excellent choice for business travelers or families on vacation. A special shout-out to the wonderful staff! I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Harbin!

Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|4.05km from city center
As the only hotel in Harbin that can truly be called a bit luxurious, it generally lives up to its reputation. The location, rooms, service, and amenities are all quite good. Bottled water is provided upon request, and the lotus decoration at the entrance is also very unique. The decor style is more simple and bright, a stark contrast to the Ritz-Carlton Tianjin where I stayed a few days ago – both are good in their own way. However, getting in and out of the hotel isn't very convenient, especially if you want to cross the road to the Songhua River. You have to navigate a really awkward traffic light intersection; the red light is very long, and even when it's green, there are cars turning right at high speed, which makes you quite nervous. The city view rooms have a poor outlook, filled with crowded, matchbox-like buildings with hardly any greenery. There's only one stool and one armchair in the room, which isn't very convenient. There's also a heating vent on the windowsill, so I was hesitant to put my phone there for fear of it falling off.

Facilities: Very user-friendly and great. The toilet area had a special feature that quickly dried thick clothes, and there was plenty of light. Cleanliness: Excellent hygiene. The auntie (housekeeping staff) was very kind and helped with everything we asked for. Environment: The environment was very good, didn't see any small cockroaches or anything. Plus, we got a free upgrade to a king-size room, which had great space and a nice view. Service: The service was excellent. Everyone served with a smile and was very patient! Breakfast was good! There was also afternoon tea, which the kids absolutely loved 🥰

For guests with medical needs, the hotel's proximity to the pulmonary hospital is a huge advantage. Whether it's an emergency requiring immediate attention or accompanying a friend or family member for check-ups and treatments, it saves a significant amount of travel time and cost, making it convenient and efficient. Furthermore, being near a hospital often means there are accompanying medical facilities like pharmacies, making it easier for guests to purchase medications if needed.

My stay at Fairfield Inn this time exceeded my expectations! Upon arrival, the front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in efficient and smooth. They answered all my questions, providing incredibly thoughtful service. The hotel's common areas feature a simple and warm natural wood style. The lobby lounge is clean and elegant, with a tidy and bright space, meticulously maintained throughout. I particularly want to highlight the restaurant; the dining environment is spacious and comfortable, with a relaxed and uncrowded layout. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of options, including hot Chinese dishes, whole grains, and fruits, all fresh and promptly refilled. The entire hotel is clean and refreshing, with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. It's suitable for both short trips and extended stays. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The room is spacious and gets great sunlight. The disposable amenities provided are top-notch for a hotel in this price range. The front desk service was excellent; they met all my needs within five minutes. The location is the best I've experienced in all my stays in Harbin – it's super close to Central Street, Flood Control Memorial Tower, and the subway station. The Hongzhuan Street morning market is right downstairs, and there are plenty of great restaurants within a 10-minute walk. This was the first time I've returned to the hotel so many times in one day: after shopping, after dinner, after buying drinks, and after visiting the morning market, and even brought back breakfast! The fried yellow croaker for breakfast was delicious, and they even froze the ingredients I packed the day before and then cooked them for me. I've stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the most satisfying experience.

Harbin in summer – you get what you pay for! The day before, I stayed near Central Street; that hotel wasn't cheap but it was small and damp, and had virtually no facilities (not throwing shade, just a comparison)... The next day, I decisively moved to Mercure! Oh my god, I felt completely relaxed and refreshed! Location: It's not far from St. Sophia Church and Central Street. Harbin Museum is right across the street, and it's close to the river, so you can walk to the Flood Control Memorial Tower or the Middle East Railway Bridge – all the must-see spots are within a leisurely stroll. Facilities: The lobby isn't huge, but it's comfortable and well-designed. The room layout is sensible, with a walk-in closet, a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, electric curtains, and a Dyson hairdryer. The laundry room, gym, and restaurant are all on the 3rd floor. Hygienics: Perfect score. Service: Extremely satisfied. The staff are all very enthusiastic and polite. The front desk receptionists are particularly patient; besides basic check-in services, they patiently chatted with a guest who was constantly talking, engaging in genuine conversation back and forth. Double Lobby Buffet Afternoon Tea: A big plus, very popular with seniors and children. Warm Midnight Snack: Different snacks every day, highly recommended. You pick them up at the front desk based on the number of people in the room. Fingertip Fun, Creative De-stressing Perler Bead Activity: My child was obsessed with Perler beads, so I booked it without hesitation! The only minor issue was that some bead colors were out of stock; it would be best if they could be replenished promptly. Also, the space felt a bit cramped. For a hotel of this caliber, it would be more appealing to guests if they had a separate room for children's activities.

I came to Harbin with friends and chose this hotel. The price was reasonable and the front desk service was good; they patiently answered all my questions. The only downside is that the entrance is a bit hard to spot. This hotel is very popular, so reservations are necessary. There are shopping malls and various restaurants downstairs, making it a paradise for food lovers. It's not far from the Northeast Tiger Park and Sun Island Polar Aquarium, and ride-hailing services are very convenient. We stayed on the 22nd floor, and the staff were very welcoming, promptly cleaning our room. Their smiles were very helpful! A very pleasant stay; Harbin is great!

I specifically chose this place for my trip because of its location, and it really delivered! Once I checked in, I found it to be excellent. The surrounding amenities are incredibly complete – there's a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs. Getting around is super easy too; the subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, and it's only about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to various attractions. I stayed for a week and had a fantastic overall experience. Whether it was for daily meals or going out sightseeing, everything was very convenient and stress-free. I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns, and this one in Harbin was generally quite disappointing. Location: It's in a popular commercial area, right next to the Heilongjiang Museum. Building: Seems to be an older structure. Front Entrance: Narrow, making it difficult to get in and out of vehicles. Lobby: Decent, no major issues. Service: The front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming. I don't expect over-the-top enthusiasm, but a basic level of professionalism would be good. Room: The TV resolution was low, and the bed wobbled when I turned over; even stuffing towels under it the next day didn't help. The window was quite small and looked dirty. Bathroom: No smart toilet, and the showerhead was leaking.

Exceeded expectations, highly recommended! Next time I come to Harbin, I'll definitely stay for more nights. Before arriving in Harbin, when booking a hotel, besides location and facilities, my main concern was whether there was a pool for kids. After much deliberation among several star-rated hotels, I finally chose Shangri-La Songbei. It turned out to be the absolute best decision of our Harbin-Yichun trip. The most surprising thing? It has to be the hotel's window view! We gasped the moment we entered the room – it was simply stunning! How could there be such a large window, such a beautiful view of the Songhua River, and such a perfect hotel? This scene made us never want to leave the room; just quietly sitting by the window and enjoying the scenery was enough. Next, let's talk about the hotel's service, which was also top-notch! We had an early flight back to Beijing on our departure day. We had booked a room with breakfast, but since we had to leave by 6 AM, we wouldn't be able to enjoy it. So, when checking in, I asked the front desk if there was a solution. The hotel offered a incredibly thoughtful plan: they prepared simple packed meals for us to take away. When we checked out, I saw three bags for the three of us, and each bag contained three packed containers with fruits, pastries, eggs, sausages, and more – it was so comprehensive! Who wouldn't love such a considerate hotel? Finally, one more thing: there aren't many dining options near the hotel. There's only one dumpling restaurant across the road. We navigated there, walked around for a long time, and just as we were about to give up, we discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant nearby called 'Dufu Smoked & Sauced Dumpling Longjiang Cuisine.' I highly recommend this restaurant too! The dishes are diverse, delicious, and affordably priced. It's truly a treasure! I'm already planning to replicate this experience with Shangri-La Songbei and Dufu Restaurant on my next trip to Harbin – I'm so excited to plan my next Harbin itinerary just for them! 😘

The room exceeded our expectations; it was spacious enough for two adults and three children. I especially appreciated the separate area for clothes and luggage, and the humidifier was a nice touch. A gentleman immediately helped us with our luggage upon arrival, and the front desk service was excellent. The hotel was clean and tidy. I chose to stay at the Sofitel Harbin for my trip to Harbin this time, and my overall experience was exceptionally satisfying. It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing, high-end five-star hotel in the area. The hotel's location is excellent, directly opposite Xiangjiang Park and adjacent to Wanda Plaza, making shopping, dining, and short excursions incredibly convenient. In my leisure time, I could even stroll through the park to enjoy the scenery and relax. The lobby features a French-inspired light luxury design with a sophisticated feel. The high ceilings paired with exquisite chandeliers create a rich and elegant atmosphere. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, and daily housekeeping is meticulous. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and each room is equipped with a humidifier, perfect for the northern climate. The double-glazed windows provide excellent sound insulation, ensuring a quiet and undisturbed rest. From the concierge to the front desk and housekeeping staff, everyone was highly professional. Check-in was efficient and smooth, and the service was attentive and discreet, without being overly solicitous. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including local Northeastern specialties. The heated swimming pool and 24-hour gym are well-equipped. This hotel is suitable for both leisure travelers and business stays. My entire stay was incredibly comfortable, and I will definitely prioritize this hotel again on my next visit to Harbin.

To the right, there are many snack bars and BBQ stalls, and if you keep walking, you'll reach the Church of the Intercession. It's also a short taxi or subway ride to Central Street or the riverside. Out of all the hotels I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Harbin, this one had the most convenient transportation. It was open from 7 AM to 12 PM, and they even brought yogurt for our child. The food selection was quite comprehensive. Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the location is superb. We could see the Songhua River from our room, and it's very close to Central Avenue and St. Sophia Church. Turning right after exiting the hotel, there are various restaurants. At check-out, the concierge even gave us small gifts, including a fridge magnet because we had a child. Both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Qunli New Area/Harbin Music Park Harbin|8.05km from city center
The hotel is located in a new urban area with convenient transportation, and both the hotel and surrounding buildings are relatively new. It's right next to a wetland park, which is a great spot for exercise. The air is fresh and the sky is blue. However, the hotel doesn't have any fitness facilities, and when I asked the staff about the advertised laundry room, they told me there wasn't one. The biggest drawback of not having a laundry room is the inconvenience of washing clothes.

The room was spotless, the bedding was clean, and the view outside the window was fantastic! There was a cute little notice about tiny ladybugs in the room, which was a novel experience for city kids who rarely see them 🐞. The hotel has a hot spring on the first floor, which was incredibly relaxing after a day of skiing. The staff were all very friendly; Ms. Wang from the rose pool even brought us water. This hotel is really great for families!

Facilities: There's a restaurant on the first floor that offers breakfast. The selection isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and had a large window. There were no strange odors, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate wet and dry area. Ambiance: Clean and tidy, with lively decor. The signature Ibis red makes it feel warm and inviting. Service: The young lady at the front desk had a smile that could melt anyone (and I'm a woman!). She was a major highlight of the hotel – so enthusiastic and empathetic. When she saw my mom and I were sharing a bed, she proactively upgraded us to a twin room, which was also very spacious, and even gave us complimentary egg tarts upon check-in. Her proactive spirit and warm service made our stay truly enjoyable! 😀 Hygiene: The hotel maintained the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness. There was no hair on the room floor, and both the toilet and shower areas were excellent and very spacious.

Five-star review! The hygiene was excellent, and the environment was great. It's super convenient for getting around, very close to the subway. Our check-in experience was fantastic. My friend and I came for a trip and definitely didn't pick the wrong hotel. The bed was really soft, and the room was spacious and bright. There's even an amusement park within the resort, so if you get tired of staying in the hotel, you can go wander around – it's all very interesting. The entire park has a European castle architectural style, which is beautiful and perfect for photos. Plus, all the staff were wonderful, with very friendly service. There's also a shuttle bus within the park, making it easy to get around. The breakfast was incredibly rich and awesome! We even happened to catch a newly opened venue within the park and went to check it out – it was so dreamy and huge, you could even do cosplay! It was amazing. No matter where you went, the staff were always super nice. 👍

The front desk staff were really welcoming and went out of their way to help us with any issues, making us feel right at home. The sour plum soup in the lobby wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing, and the rose tea was also delicious. Our room was clean, and I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast – even though the area was small, there was a wide variety of dishes and everything tasted great. The only downside is that many rooms don't have windows, but on the flip side, it made them incredibly quiet. It was stormy outside, but I couldn't hear a thing from my room, haha! 😄

The front desk lady is very caring. The stay experience is very good. Mailed couriers can also collect. The pillows are not very comfortable, and the front desk can also take spares. Living here is mainly to watch a concert. It is also very close to the convention center. Anyway, it was a good experience.
