The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. It's right next to Central Street, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle! This was once the private residence of a Russian Grand Duke in 1903, and it even has a 120-year-old elevator that still runs smoothly and can be used! This time, I was upgraded to a suite, which was very spacious, and the Russian-style interior decoration was simply stunning. The hotel's service was truly excellent! Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and my elderly mother was very happy. Because it's a historical monument, the hotel's exterior cannot be altered. This makes it a bit inconvenient for seniors. The steps are difficult to navigate, and breakfast is in the basement, also requiring stairs. A bit of a shame! The location is excellent, with the subway station right downstairs. It's just one stop to Qiulin Shopping Mall and four stops to Central Street, very convenient.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were excellent, with a Dyson hairdryer and a powerful, hot shower. The hotel service was great, and the staff were all very enthusiastic. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to St. Sophia Cathedral and Central Street, just a few minutes' walk, making it very convenient for shopping.

Our stay at this new hotel was fantastic! The room was super spacious, perfect for two adults and a child. They even set up a sofa bed for us, so everyone had their own bed. Having a bathtub was a huge plus – after a day of digging for shells, a hot soak was incredibly relaxing for the little one. Our room on the 15th floor offered amazing views from the large window, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The self-service laundry was convenient, and my child thoroughly enjoyed the gym. The wontons at breakfast were delicious, and they even added beef! While the selection wasn't as vast as a Hilton, the quality of ingredients was outstanding. We especially loved the healthy salads with kale. The location is super convenient! A ten-minute walk to the left takes you to Qiulin Company and Fendou Food Store, and another ten minutes gets you to the Provincial Museum. To the right, there are many snack bars and BBQ stalls, and if you keep walking, you'll reach the Church of the Intercession. It's also a short taxi or subway ride to Central Street or the riverside. Out of all the hotels I stayed at during my 10-day trip to Harbin, this one had the most convenient transportation.
It seems they host a lot of group bookings, as there were always guests waiting to check in at the front desk every day. So, available rooms might be limited and you should book quickly. A bit disappointed. We were driving, so parking was our top priority. Many hotels near Central Street either only have a few parking spots right at the entrance or no parking at all. This hotel has its own parking lot, and the location is indeed excellent, very close to Central Street. However, the room was tiny, pitifully so; the bed was right there as soon as you opened the door. And the facilities were very, very old. I honestly felt that for this price, the room was a huge letdown – the discrepancy was just too big. The front desk staff, though, were quite friendly and good. Traveling to Harbin, I chose Aoluguya among many hotels. Although it's a bit far from the city's scenic spots, it's still acceptable, about fifteen to twenty minutes by car. The surroundings are quiet and more comfortable than staying in a tourist area; it's not noisy at all. Moreover, the hotel environment is truly excellent. The main thing is that the staff's attention to detail is outstanding. From the concierge at the door, to the lobby, the restaurant, and the room service staff, everyone is very attentive. They're proactive and on the ball. They specifically told me the welcome fruit would be delivered to the room later, but it never arrived during my three-day stay ☹️↔️ but that's alright. Check-in was handled by a handsome guy named Echo, who was very efficient and clearly explained all the hotel and room details in a short time. There was also a lady who walked around each check-in desk, constantly monitoring customer interactions. This level of detail is something I've only experienced in luxury diamond-rated hotels in other cities; many five-star hotels fall far short. And the gentleman with glasses at the entrance of the breakfast restaurant every day, who I assume is a manager (didn't catch his name), was always enthusiastic and thoughtful. The other restaurant staff, including the chefs at the food stations, also had a particularly pleasant attitude. It's truly impressive to maintain such a work ethic, especially during the peak National Day holiday season. Even when the breakfast area was crowded, it wasn't chaotic, and food was replenished very promptly. Noodles and dumplings were almost always available without waiting. The chefs at the stations were particularly good at explaining the dishes, unlike some hotels where staff get grumpy and act like the world owes them something if they get a little busy. I really can't fault this hotel on these points.
If I had to mention a small flaw, it would be this: when I'm consulting or discussing something, I express my thoughts and needs very clearly. I then expect the other person to also communicate clearly with me, instead of just saying, ”This is hotel policy, we have rules.” Every hotel and every place has its own rules, which is normal. But every rule has a purpose and a rationale behind it. At the very least, you can explain what the rule is for and what its objective is. As a customer, I'm not unreasonable. I'm communicating with you politely and understandingly, and my requests aren't overly excessive. Even if it slightly deviates from your rules, you can explain why. Don't just keep saying ”rules, rules.” This kind of empty expression is completely unconvincing and only makes the customer uncomfortable. I've seen many disputes and arguments between hotel staff and customers that stem from this: the customer says something, and the staff just says ”rules,” but can't explain why the rules are there. Who can feel good about that? On this point, Echo at the front desk and the gentleman with glasses in the restaurant were excellent and very professional. In their communication, a single sentence would clarify the meaning of the rule, and your questions would naturally be resolved. Unlike some of the younger female staff who only say ”rules” without explaining anything else, leaving customers with questions and frustration, making them feel like they've committed a grave sin for not conforming to the ”rules.” These are just minor imperfections, and I hope everyone can continue to improve. Overall, the hotel is excellent, and I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Harbin.FromUS$83

The location is great, within walking distance to Central Street, and right across from the cable car and Songhua River. Subway Line 3 is right outside the hotel, super convenient. I chose the 120° room, which offered a partial view of the Songhua River. The stay was very comfortable, the bathroom was large, and what I loved most was the shower pressure – absolutely fantastic! The service was excellent, especially breakfast! The restaurant is wonderful, with a great ambiance and complete facilities. All the staff in the restaurant were incredibly warm and enthusiastic, a hundred times better than the service I experienced at other places these past few days! During the National Day holiday, they even gifted 3D printed yogurt to my child every day. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious; staying for three days, there was something different every day, which was great. The parking lot is a bit small, but there are security guards who help find spots, which is excellent. Comparing it to other hotels during my trip to Northeast China over the National Day holiday, Habsburg had the best service, especially suitable for family travel. Oh, and there's a gym, a laundry room, a billiards table, and even a play area for kids. They have queen costumes, but I didn't get to try them this time – next time! I highly recommend staying here. While the hotel is a bit older, the decor is excellent, and the design is very refined. There were quite a few guests staying as well. The breakfast is highly recommended, especially the sauerkraut dumplings – they taste very authentic. They also had sauerkraut with boiled pork slices (Suan Cai Chuan Bai Rou). The snowflake patterns on the carpet at the entrance show the hotel's thoughtfulness towards its guests and its original intention to promote Northeast China's ice and snow culture. The location is fantastic! It's right near the subway station, St. Sophia Cathedral, Central Street, and Hongzhuan Morning Market, all within walking distance. If you really don't feel like walking, Central Street is just one subway stop away.
When we checked in, the bedding had some stains, probably due to age and not coming out in the wash. However, as soon as we reported it to the front desk, it was resolved very quickly. So, I'm deducting a tiny bit for hygiene but adding points for the service.
There seemed to be only one elevator in the lobby, but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. The room had a desk, which was very convenient, and it was quite spacious. Overall, it offers good value for money!FromUS$18

We traveled from Guangxi to bring our child to university in Harbin, and also visited Qiqihar and Changbai Mountain along the way. We booked this hotel for those stops too, staying a total of 10 nights! Firstly, the location is superb. It's at the transfer station for Metro Lines 1 and 2, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions later. Directly across the street is the landmark Qiulin Company, and you can easily explore both the underground and ground-level malls. Secondly, the room facilities are complete, clean, and hygienic, with free laundry and drying services. Plus, the lobby on the first floor offers 24-hour complimentary tea, freshly ground coffee, and small snacks. Every day, we'd grab a hot drink before heading out and when returning, which felt really nice! I can't forget to mention the breakfast – the restaurant environment is lovely, and they offer both Chinese and Western options, along with freshly cooked wontons and noodles. We were very satisfied! All in all, hotels at the same price point where we come from can't even compare!
