Hong Kong to Macau - First, the Quick Overview

Hong Kong and Macau are close—37 miles across the water. Most people pick ferries (fast, drops you where you want to be) or buses over the HZMB bridge (cheaper, scenic). Helicopters are a thing, but they’re for rich folks or people who forgot to book a ferry. And high-speed rail is not worth it for a day trip—more on that later.

Hong Kong to Macau - Ferries, The Best Option

Hong Kong to Macau - Ferries, The Best Option, TurboJet Waterplane Night Service Boat Ticket - One-way (Hong Kong Sheung Wan to/from Macau Outer Harbour)

Ferries are the top pick because they drop you right in central Macau (close to historic sites) or the Cotai Strip (near casinos/hotels) and run 24/7. Two companies dominate: TurboJET and Cotai Water Jet.

Hong Kong to Macau Ferries Prices & Routes

Adults pay around $22 on weekdays, $24 on weekends/holidays, and $28 for night ferries (10 PM to 6 AM). Kids under 12 are half-price, and infants under 3 are free. I always book online via their websites or Trip.com—weekend lines at the terminal can be 20+ mins long, and no one wants to waste vacation time waiting.

Hong Kong to Macau Ferries Departure & Arrival Terminals

  • Departure terminals in HK: If you are in Central/soho, Sheung Wan (Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal) is the best, super convenient. Tsim Sha Tsui (China Ferry Terminal) is more suitable for Kowloon.
  • Arrival in Macau: The Outer Harbour Pier (in the central part of Macau) is just a few steps away from the Ruins of Sao Paulo and Senado Square, making it an ideal place for both history and cuisine. The Taipa Pier (Cotai Strip) is right next to the Venetian, Parisian and all the casinos. It would be great if you come here for shopping or entertainment.

Hong Kong to Macau Ferries Schedules

They operate around the clock! During the day (from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.), ferries depart every 15 to 30 minutes, with turbojet being more frequent. In the evening, it is charged once per hour. If you want to stay very late for dinner or enjoy the night view of Macau, this is the perfect choice. Suggestion: Arrive at the immigration office 30 minutes in advance, you need to scan your passport and flight ticket. Backups can be made during peak hours (9 a.m. to 12 p.m., 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.).

  • Daytime (6 AM–10 PM): Ferries leave every 15–30 mins (TurboJET is more frequent).
  • Nighttime (10 PM–6 AM): Hourly departures. It's very suitable for having dinner in the evening in Macau.

Hong Kong to Macau Ferries Luggage

You can bring one piece of carry-on luggage and one piece of checked luggage (up to 20 kg) for free. Extra luggage is about $5 each, so if you're only on a one-day trip, don't pack too much- you just need a small bag for your passport, phone and wallet.

I used this service as a solo female traveler in my 30s. I learned about the Macau government's "Free One-Way from Hong Kong to Macau Campaign" and booked through Trip.com. To sum up, the ease of booking and the smoothness of the day-of trip were all perfect, making it an incredibly rewarding experience! [Pros] • Incredible Value: I was incredibly grateful to receive the ferry fare, which would normally cost about 3,500 yen (175 HKD), for free. It allowed me to use that money to splurge on a slightly more luxurious lunch in Macau! • Smooth Booking: The Trip.com website is easy to understand in Japanese, and the process only took a few minutes. I felt at ease knowing the voucher arrived promptly. • On-the-Day Procedures: I simply presented my passport and the reservation screen on my smartphone at the ticket counter in Sheung Wan, and my ticket was issued smoothly. The staff were experienced, so I had no trouble at all. [Onboard] I used the Cotai Water Jet. The interior was clean, the air conditioning was just right, and the approximately one-hour boat ride was very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was also available, which made it convenient for checking out Macau's tourist attractions during the trip.

Hong Kong to Macau - HZMB Bus, Cheap & Nice View

Hong Kong to Macau - HZMB Bus, Cheap & Nice View

If you’re trying to save money or want to see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (it’s the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge—pretty wild), the shuttle bus is your guy. It’s cheaper than ferries, but there’s a catch: you have to get to the Hong Kong Port first (it’s in Lantau, not central HK).

What’s the “HZMB Shuttle Bus”?

The bus is called the “Golden Bus” locally, and it runs directly between Hong Kong Port and Macau Port (Taipa). The ride over the bridge is about 45 mins, and you’ll get great views of the bay and artificial islands—bring your camera!

HZMB Bus Prices

Adults pay $8.25 during the day (6 AM to 10 PM) and $8.90 at night. Kids 3-11 and seniors over 65 get half off—around $4-$4.50. Way cheaper than ferries, but remember: you have to get to Hong Kong Port first.

Getting to Hong Kong Port

This is the only hassle. Here’s how I do it when I’m on a budget:

  1. Take the MTR Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung Station (about 30 mins from Central).
  2. Walk 5 mins to Tung Chung Bus Terminus and catch bus B5 to Hong Kong Port (10 mins, $1).
Total time: ~1 hr, total cost: ~$3.50.

If you don’t want to transfer, you can take a taxi from central HK—costs $39-$52 and takes 45-60 mins. Or book a direct express bus from Central/Tsim Sha Tsui—tickets are $15-$20, and it drops you right at Hong Kong Port with no transfers.

Pro tips for HZMB Bus

  • Arrive 40 mins early for immigration—there are fewer checkpoints here than at ferry terminals, so lines can be longer.
  • Check the weather! The bridge closes during typhoons (Signal 8 or higher). I once got stuck in Macau because of a typhoon—learn from my mistake and check the HZMB app before leaving.

Hong Kong to Macau - Helicopters, Luxury & Fastest

Helicopters are the fastest way to get from Hong Kong to Macau—15 mins flat! But they’re also the most expensive. Heli Express is the only company that runs them, and one-way tickets start at $550 per person. Private charters for up to 6 people are around $3,300.

Who is this for? Business travelers who have meetings at 9 AM and don’t want to wake up early, or people who just want to splurge. I’ve never taken one (too pricey for me!), but friends who have say the VIP fast track through immigration is worth it if you’re in a hurry. You book 3-7 days in advance—there are only 4-6 seats per helicopter, so they sell out fast.

[3% OFF] Hong Kong to Macau - High-Speed Rail (HSR)

[3% OFF] Hong Kong to Macau - High-Speed Rail (HSR)

Many people ask about high-speed rail, but the fact is that there is no direct high-speed rail from Hong Kong to Macao. You have to transfer many times, which is slower and more troublesome than ferries or buses. Let's analyze it:

Hong Kong to Macau - The train route (if you’re determined):

  1. Take the Hong Kong Express Rail from West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong to Shenzhen North Railway Station (20 minutes, 10 US dollars).
  2. Transfer to the high-speed rail from Shenzhen North Railway Station to Zhuhai Changlong Railway Station (1 hour, 15 US dollars).
  3. Take a taxi or bus from Chimelong in Zhuhai to the Port of Macau (20 minutes, 5-10 US dollars).
  4. Go through the entry customs to enter Macao.

Total time: approximately 2 hours (if all transfers go smoothly), total cost: 30- 35 US dollars. This is longer than a ferry and only a little cheaper than a bus plus a subway. And if any train is delayed or you miss a transfer? You’re screwed.

When is HSR worth it?

Only when you combine your trips to Shenzhen or Zhuhai with those to Macao. For instance, if you stay in Shenzhen for a few days, then take the high-speed rail to Zhuhai and then transit through to Macao - this makes sense. But what about a one-day tour from Hong Kong to Macao? Save yourself the trouble and take the ferry.

Hong Kong to Macau - Visa & Border Rules

Hong Kong to Macau - Visa & Border Rules

I’ve seen people get turned away at the border because they forgot their passport or didn’t check visa rules—don’t be that person. Here’s the simple version:

  • Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date. No exceptions.
  • Visa: Most nationalities get visa-free entry to Macau. US, EU, UK, Australia, Japan, Canada—30 days. Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore—14-21 days. If you’re from a country that needs a visa, apply for an e-visa online 1-2 weeks in advance.
  • Re-entering Hong Kong: If you’re in Hong Kong on a tourist visa, you can leave for Macau and come back without a new visa—just make sure your Hong Kong visa is still valid.
  • Immigration: You’ll clear two checkpoints—one when leaving Hong Kong, one when entering Macau. Have your passport ready, and answer questions honestly (they usually just ask how long you’re staying).

Hong Kong to Macau Day Trip Itinerary

A Day Trip to Macau, Travel to Macau 1 Day

This is the itinerary I use every time- feasible, interesting, and reaching all the best places, don’t miss these iconic spots with coupon:

Macau Day Trip Itinerary

  1. 8:30 a.m. : Board the TurboJET flight departing from Sheung Wan, Hong Kong at 8:30 a.m. → Arrive at the Outer Harbour Terminal of Macau at 9:30 a.m.
  2. 10:00 a.m. : Walk for 10 minutes to Ruins of St. Paul's to take photos, and then have an egg tart at Lord Stow's (just around the corner, yes, it's worth queuing).
  3. 11:30 a.m. : Stroll through Senado Square - with its soft-colored Portuguese architecture, street performers and charming cafes. If you need to refresh yourself, stop and have a cup of coffee.
  4. 1:00 p.m. : Have lunch at a local restaurant - try African chicken (a Macao specialty) or pork cutlet buns. My favorite is Litoral restaurant in the center of Macau. It's cheap and delicious.
  5. 2:30 p.m. : Take a taxi to the Golden Avenue (about 5 dollars, 15 minutes). Take a walk around the indoor canal of the Venetian Hotel or take photos on the replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (the first floor is free).
  6. 5:30 p.m. : Take the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge shuttle bus back to Hong Kong and arrive at 6:30 p.m. It is very suitable for dining in Central or Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

Top 3 Things to Do in Macau

  1. Ruins of St. Paul’s: The iconic stone façade—you have to take a photo here, but don’t just snap and leave. Walk around the back to see the museum (small but interesting) and the stairs leading up to the fortress.
  2. Senado Square: Great for people-watching and soaking up Macau’s colonial vibe. Grab a seat at an outdoor café and watch the world go by.
  3. Cotai Strip: Even if you don’t gamble, it’s worth a visit. The Venetian’s canals are fun to walk around, and The Parisian’s Eiffel Tower has great views of the city.

Arrived from Senado Square in the early evening after a 20-minute walk through several alleys, finding a quiet spot. You can see the Macau Tower right from the hotel entrance on the roadside. The hotel is located halfway up the hill and is clean. My room, which faced the mountain, seemed newly renovated, was very comfortable and spacious. There were shuttle bus reminders in the lobby. That evening, following Baidu Maps, I walked less than 800 meters down to the street for dinner and discovered the stunning night view of the peninsula, with drone shows and the International Light Festival ongoing, creating a strong Christmas atmosphere. Walking back on a different path, I realized how convenient the location truly is. The next morning, I walked to A-Ma Temple Station; the walk up the hill was refreshing, and the surrounding area was full of villas. I'm really pleased I chose this place; it offers great value for money, and I would definitely choose it again next time.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop right outside. The airport shuttle bus conveniently stops directly in front of the hotel, which is a huge plus! While the hotel facilities are a bit old-fashioned, they are complete, and the shower always has plenty of hot water. The staff are enthusiastic and always ready to help! I really enjoyed the food at the 18th-floor restaurant and the hotel's breakfast buffet. I'll definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

An experience that exceeded expectations! This established hotel truly delivers star-level service. I loved the European-inspired decor. A special shout-out to Patrick at check-in – not only did he upgrade me for free, but he also gave me a 'lucky' room number. When checking out, a friendly young man at the door even helped me call a taxi. It was a very satisfying stay, and I'll definitely choose Artyzen again.

Overall a solid 4 star. The property is big and new. Casino is well run, odds are not the best (like dealer stand on all 17 on black jack). Staff are very helpful. My suggestion is for the Frozen Snow attraction. They start handing out ticket at 12pm, but there was like 200 people lining up at 11am already. Instead of just handing the ticket out and have people come back, they make everyone wait in line, just to pick ip the to ticket to come back at a later time. Really wasted an hour or so of 200 people's time. The waterpark was great. For tickets to attractions and dinner, you get discount as a hotel guest. However! If you charge the cost to your room, you dont get a discount. I hope this policy is changed as for foreigners, we dont have alipay/wechat pay, so we prefer to charge to room and settle it all at the end.

Old Putin didn't see any renovations this time, but it's definitely different from before. The service is still quite satisfactory; the front desk staff, both guys and girls, are very dedicated and responsible. They'll carefully explain how to do things and even help you carry all your luggage upstairs. Although the room isn't as big as before, all the facilities are quite complete. The best part is that they even provide Hermes toiletries! The hotel is right in front of the bus terminal, so you can get anywhere you want to go. It's also convenient to get to Rua do Cunha, and you can even walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's.

Excellent! Located in the old district of Macau Peninsula, it's convenient for dining, accommodation, entertainment, and shopping. Personally, I think it offers better value for money than staying in Taipa. From the Gongbei Port, you can take the Sands or Grand Lisboa shuttle bus, and it's about a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point. For your return journey, you can also take the Sands shuttle back to the Border Gate. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel (bus route 3) that goes to the Ruins of St. Paul's, which is also just over a 1km walk away. The Fisherman's Wharf, Sands, MGM, Wynn, and StarWorld are all within walking distance too. The hotel management staff are polite and humble, and the rooms are very spacious and clean. It's quiet at night, ensuring a good rest. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay. I visit Macau frequently and will definitely stay here again next time.

This hotel is quite old, with a very vintage feel and a strong sense of history.~~ Facilities: Average, generally quite old. I was particularly unhappy with the hairdryer; it was stuck in a drawer, couldn't be pulled out, and was tethered by a cord, making it incredibly difficult to use. It's not like I'm going to steal a hairdryer, it's not even valuable... Hygiene: Decent. Environment: Close to Fisherman's Wharf, overall pretty good. Service: The front desk staff were quite cold, making me wait until well after 3 PM for check-in. I don't think I'll be returning.

This popular hotel is really crowded, with many tourists checking in just to experience it. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to Taipa Ferry Terminal. The shopping arcade on the third floor has a wide variety of brands, and some stores even had promotions during Christmas. The hotel room facilities are a bit dated, but they are spacious enough, and the staff are all very friendly. There's a shuttle bus back to Hengqin in the evening, but the last one departs at 8:20 PM, so don't be late!

Grand Lisboa Palace Macau: An Opulent Encounter Traversing East and West Fantasy The moment you step into the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, it's as if you've opened a door to another dimension. In the lobby, a towering, multi-story glass dome brings the sky into view, with sunlight refracting dazzling halos through crystal chandeliers, and an indoor garden stretching out like a verdant carpet underfoot. This is more than just a hotel; it's a miniature resort kingdom blending Eastern charm with European palatial aesthetics. Our journey began in a 'Karl Lagerfeld' themed room. As the world's only hotel space personally designed by the late fashion maestro, every detail in the room exudes his unique interpretation of 'modern oriental.' Sleek black and gold furniture, Chinese embroidery on silk wallpaper, and contemporary artworks on the walls create a fascinating dialogue. The bathroom is equipped with Bulgari amenities, and an aroma diffuser next to the deep soaking tub helps melt away travel fatigue in a fragrant mist. The biggest surprise was the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows – directly overlooking the hotel's central 'Verdant Wonderland' garden. Drawing the curtains in the morning, the dew-kissed lawn and Baroque gazebos were serenely picturesque in the morning light, making it feel like living in Alice's Wonderland. The dining experience was equally unforgettable. 'The Buffet at Grand Lisboa Palace' on the third floor offers a global culinary journey with open kitchens, from authentic Macanese African chicken to Japanese sashimi and French pastries, all boasting impeccable freshness. Meanwhile, 'Mesa' on the second floor, crafted by Michelin-starred chef José Avillez, presents creative Portuguese cuisine. Their signature 'seafood rice,' simmered with saffron and fresh seafood, offers a taste of the ocean's sweetness in every bite. For a ritualistic afternoon tea experience, head to 'The Grand Pavilion Bar,' which hosts Asia's first Versace-themed palatial afternoon tea. Macarons and sandwiches are served on gold-rimmed porcelain plates, paired with the specially concocted 'Oriental Charm' cocktail, with even the straws adorned with hand-embroidered ribbons – every detail speaks of luxury. The hotel's entertainment facilities are truly a 'one-stop vacation paradise.' The indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools on the third floor are a favorite for families, with 29°C water ensuring children can splash around without feeling cold. The gym is equipped with the latest Technogym machines, and floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic garden views, making workouts feel like exercising in a forest. For art lovers, the hotel's 'Virtual Palace of Versailles' exhibition is a must-see – it recreates the splendor of Louis XIV's palace through 3D projection and scent technology. As the light from the Hall of Mirrors dances on the walls and the scent of orange blossom wafts through the air, you might momentarily believe you've traveled back to the 17th-century French court. Regarding transportation, although the hotel is located in the eastern part of Taipa Island, it offers seamless connectivity to the Border Gate, ferry terminals, and major attractions via free shuttle buses. We took a bus to the Ruins of St. Paul's, a mere 20-minute ride, and on the return, we even found the hotel's 'night special line,' avoiding the inconvenience of late-night taxis. It's worth noting that while the hotel staff primarily speak Cantonese and English, the front desk specifically employs 'Guest Relations Ambassadors' fluent in Mandarin. From luggage storage to attraction recommendations, their service is meticulous, even preemptively providing a universal adapter we temporarily needed directly to our room. Of course, even a perfect journey can have minor imperfections. While the hotel's 'New Yaohan' shopping mall offers a comprehensive range of brands, some stores close relatively early. For late-night shopping, you might need to venture to the nearby Wynn Palace. Additionally, due to the hotel's grand scale, it's easy to get lost in the hallways during a first stay; we recommend picking up a floor guide to carry with you. On the day we left Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, the front desk presented us with a customized 'GLP Club' membership gift box, containing exclusive hotel aromatherapy products and postcards. Looking back at this golden-domed edifice, I suddenly understood why it has become a new landmark in Macau's hotel industry – it’s not just a place to stay, but an immersive experience of aesthetics, culture, and life. If your desired travel isn't just about 'checking off attractions' but also about finding a serene haven of luxury in a bustling city, Grand Lisboa Palace might just be your answer.

It's an old hotel, over a decade old. While the overall layout is decent, the details definitely need an upgrade. There are too few power outlets, and they're quite loose, so I'd recommend bringing your own power strip if you have a lot of devices to charge. The male receptionist was great; seeing I was with two seniors in their seventies, he extended our checkout to 2 PM, which was excellent service. We chose this place mainly because it accommodates three people, is directly across from the Wynn Palace fountain, and has direct access to the Light Rail from the second floor of the hotel. This was super convenient for us, as we planned to use a mix of Light Rail and taxis for getting around.

Galaxy is really great for families with kids. The environment is excellent, and the room details and amenities are top-notch. They provide Bulgari toiletries, and the toothbrushes, razors, and slippers are all of high quality and very comfortable. The front desk staff is very professional and responsive to requests. I booked the room last minute for my child's birthday and only asked upon check-in if they could decorate the room a bit. They immediately handled it for me and even gave me Mid-Autumn Festival chocolate desserts. The hotel's kids' club has a great environment and plenty of activities, and the Grand Resort Deck is fun and incredibly photogenic—highly recommended! 🌟 Truly captivated by my stay at MO! 🌟 Undoubtedly Macau's top scenic spot, the luxurious Tower View Suite offers unparalleled views – one side facing the stunning sea, the other overlooking the Macau Tower. You can enjoy the sunset over the tower from your room in the evening, and witness the sunrise over the ocean from the pool in the morning. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! The hotel's service is impeccable and incredibly thoughtful. Upon learning it was for my parents' anniversary, they proactively upgraded our room, decorated it, and gifted us red wine and cake. As a member, I also received a complimentary breakfast for a third person. The attention to detail in their service was truly moving. From the moment the butler escorted us and introduced the facilities, we felt a warm sense of belonging. The turn-down service didn't feel routine; instead, it genuinely anticipated all our needs. Returning to the room in the evening, we discovered so many delightful surprises, feeling a truly personalized touch. The breakfast, featuring mostly my favorite Chinese dim sum, was exquisite and delicious. Definitely worth a perfect score! 💯

My original plan was to book the Treasure Island Hotel, but it was fully booked. I was then pleasantly surprised to find that Resorts World Hotel shares the same location and many facilities with the Treasure Island Hotel, as they are part of the same complex. This unexpected discovery not only solved my accommodation problem but also elevated my stay experience: I could appreciate the distinct decor of Resorts World Hotel while still enjoying the convenience of Treasure Island Hotel's location. It's a triple delight for culture lovers, shopaholics, and hotel enthusiasts! You can easily visit stunning Macau landmarks such as Macau Tower and Penha Hill. From the Gongbei border, reaching the hotel is super convenient: simply take the free hotel shuttle bus or public bus 3/3X to 'Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro'. Direct elevator access from the hotel to the mall means no worries about the sun, and a mall membership card also offers dining discounts. Oh, and the lobster laksa noodle soup I ordered via room service was absolutely divine!

The hotel has a very festive appearance, with many rows of large red lanterns at the entrance and an impressive lobby. The room is very spacious, and it was comfortable even with three friends staying together. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of delicious food, and they refill items very quickly. Besides cars, there's also a shuttle bus service to and from Hong Kong via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which is super convenient.

The lobby is spacious, bright, and elegant. The front desk service was excellent; they even helped reserve a room for us. The room was bright and tidy, and the housekeeping was spot on. The floor staff were also very enthusiastic. The lobby's cake was delicious, and the pork chop bun was better than what you'd find elsewhere.

Booked 2 rooms with friends and I must day that that the room with garden is one of the best room i have stayed on. Our room have its own garden and it’s perfect for having small gatherings with friends. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and a small pantry in which its very helpful for having small gatherings. The staff who had helped us check in Richard and May is very nice and professional. Explained us in details what hotel has to offer and we were told to simply call them whenever we needed something The room with garden is a must book if you are going to stay in Legend Palace. The room is very luxurious, amenities are too notch and the service staff made it the best. Will definitely going back to the hotel and will recommend it to my friends and family.

The hotel is clean and tidy, with a classic, old-school charm in its hallways and rooms. Since my check-in was on the Mid-Autumn Festival, the hotel even gave me mooncakes. The breakfast tasted pretty good.

The hotel is very close to Sands Macao. You can take a taxi to Sands, then walk about 7-8 minutes to the hotel. Behind the hotel, there's a Polytechnic University, and next to it is the Grand Prix Museum. It's a quiet location despite being in a busy area. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and you can walk to the Ruins of St. Paul's in about half an hour. The rooms are very clean, and the facilities are well-maintained and feel new. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I'm in Macau.

This was my first stay at a Four Seasons hotel, specifically the Qi Jia branch. I chose it to propose to my fiancée, and the entire experience was absolutely perfect, exceeding all expectations. Everything was custom-made, from the room decoration to the room service; the whole process was flawless and full of surprises and touching moments. A big thank you to Minnie and her concierge team! 💓💓💓

We stayed at the Grand Emperor Hotel in the Queen Suite and found it very suitable for a family stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with enough space for both adults and children to move around without feeling cramped. The bed was large and comfortable, and the overall room layout worked well for family needs. The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to nearby attractions, shops, and dining options, which made getting around with kids much easier. Housekeeping was reliable, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, the Queen Suite offered good comfort and space for a family trip.

This was my second stay at Wynn, and the experience was a bit disappointing. I arrived at 1:30 PM to check in, but was told rooms wouldn't be ready until 3:00 PM. When I returned at 3:10 PM, the room still hadn't been cleaned, and I eventually only got into my room closer to 4:00 PM. During check-in, I was asked if I preferred a smoking room, which I confirmed. However, when I received my room key, I was told the reservation notes indicated a non-smoking room, which was quite frustrating. On a different note, the mini-bar drinks in the room are advertised as complimentary. However, there's a small print notice at the bottom stating that if any item is removed for more than 60 seconds, it will be automatically charged to the room.

This is my third stay here, and Grand Lisboa is definitely the GOAT of Macau! Everything from the facilities to the service is absolutely top-notch. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the peninsula on foot. The hotel lobby is always bustling with tourists during the day. The kids absolutely loved the jetted bathtub, and the toiletries are fantastic. The view from the sea-view room window is also amazing.

Hotel is old and tired, need renovation badly. However room is clean and tidy. Reception service was so-so and not welcoming. Check-in was good though, just the night time when approached another receptionist for my own room number but was given a cold and not welcoming reply. It was normal for guest to forget their own room numbers as they don’t stay permanently. However a simple way to verify was guest able to give his identity numbers and name. Or hotel can always accompany the guest to the room to verify. However this guy was so unpleasant and blunt in his replied. Will not stay again in this hotel.

The room was very spacious and clean, and the facilities were quite new. Although there isn't a direct free shuttle, the connections were still pretty convenient. The mattress was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm, so I didn't wake up with a backache. The room also had universal adapters, which is super convenient for mainland tourists. It's close to the airport, and getting in and out of the city is actually quite easy.

I recently stayed at the Grand View Hotel in Macau and wanted to share my experience. It's a solid choice for travelers seeking convenience and cleanliness. The location is a major highlight. Getting there from the airport was a breeze, taking less than 15 minutes by taxi. For exploring, the nearby LRT station made accessing The Venetian and other parts of the city incredibly easy. Plus, having a supermarket right behind the hotel was super convenient for grabbing snacks and essentials. The room itself was great—very clean and tidy, providing a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, the Grand View Hotel offers a fantastic blend of convenience and comfort, making it a place I'd recommend
