There are 2-day rolls for $1099 during the New Year, unlimited time, unlimited access! It’s super convenient, it would be great if it could be rolled out in one day. There are few people in the morning and evening, with the best snow quality in the morning.

Great location: The hotel is in the heart of Guangzhou, about 100 meters from the East High-Speed Rail station, and right next to a subway station. It's just a few subway stops to all the major attractions in downtown Guangzhou, which is incredibly convenient. Spacious rooms: This is an older five-star hotel, and both the lobby and the rooms are very large. The restaurant is also spacious and very clean. Our stay was incredibly comfortable, and it was very quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep. Excellent service: We originally booked a king-sized bed, but since we were traveling with two children, the lady at the front desk kindly changed our reservation to a twin room. We checked in around 10 AM, and when we needed extra toothbrushes for the room, someone brought them up immediately. Thoughtful details: It's rare to see non-smoking floor signs in hotel rooms, which was a really friendly and thoughtful touch, especially for non-smokers and families with children. We had a very pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Guangzhou.

Honest review: The room was quite clean, smoke-free, and odorless, right across from Guangdong TV Station. High floor with a wide view. It's listed as a 5-star hotel, but I'd say it's an older 5-star. There were many foreign guests from various continents and countries. My room's electronic control system had some issues; it wasn't very responsive. While taking the elevator, I also overheard others saying they had no hot water at 1 AM?! Not sure if that's true. The front desk service was excellent. They allowed a late checkout until 2 PM, which was perfect because my flight was delayed. I ended up checking out almost an hour later, and the hotel staff showed no dissatisfaction, which is why I'm giving it a full 5 stars.

This is an excellent hotel! I've stayed at Wyndham hotels in other cities before, but the Guangzhou Wyndham really stands out. Everything from the environment to the service and breakfast was superb! All the staff were very polite and the service was impeccable! The breakfast had a huge variety and was absolutely delicious 👍. Whether it was the front desk, the concierge, the housekeeping staff, or the restaurant team, everyone was incredibly friendly and made you feel right at home! The most important thing was that I lost my headphones and the hotel proactively contacted us to let us know! Truly grateful 🙏. I'll definitely choose Wyndham again on my next visit.

Had the best 7 nights in this hotel! The room is so spacious, so clean and the lighting in the room makes it so comfy and welcoming! Too comfy till we didn’t want to leave the room 🤣 The hotel is in a very good location too. Walking distance to grandview mall and parc central and just downstairs there’s so many eateries that opens late at night too. Food is def not a problem. It’s a good place for didi pickups/drops off too and accessible via the one link mall too. Big big kudos to the staff in this hotel. Everyone from the entrance to the reception and to housekeeping are so friendly and professional. They make us feel so welcomed and we truly appreciate all their assistance towards us, especially before we arrive when we had to arrange transport and upgrade our rooms. Thanks for answering our queries so quickly and providing such excellent service to us. We truly love our stay and will definitely choose to stay here again!!

The room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom had enough space. It was also very convenient to travel with pets; the staff were very friendly to dogs, and we met many pet-loving friends at the hotel. The room specifically prepared a dog bed, pee pads, poop bags, and a bag of small treats, which was a pleasant surprise. Vicky assisted us throughout our stay and was very helpful. There was even a lion dance performance on the first day of Chinese New Year, which was quite nice. There are also many convenient dining options nearby.

The room, as always, was decent but the facilities are quite old. The service over Chinese New Year was good though; the duty manager was able to help resolve any issues we had. The meals were also quite varied. However, I have to mention that the front desk staff who checked us in asked me to add them on WeChat, saying it was for a good review, but then they didn't even reply to my messages when I had an issue. How can they have the nerve to ask me to add them in the first place? It's the first time I've encountered someone asking to add me on WeChat and then not replying! Overall, the experience was still pretty good. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around, and there are many malls nearby, which is great.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Guangzhou has plenty of great hotels, and the Sheraton, as a well-established chain, boasts an excellent location. While the rooms aren't huge, every single staff member, from the front desk to the housekeeping aunties, was incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. They made us feel right at home. Our stay was very comfortable, though check-in was a bit delayed. It would be perfect if room cleaning could be a little quicker.

The Baiyun Hotel boasts an excellent location in the core business district of Huanshi East. The parking lot is quite large, but spaces can still be tight, likely due to the high number of dining guests. The hotel lobby is spacious and grand, and it's connected to the adjacent shopping mall. The rooms are quite roomy. While the decor and facilities are indeed a bit old-fashioned, they are very clean. I personally quite like this traditional layout, especially that the bathroom is enclosed, unlike the inconvenient open-concept or glass-partitioned bathrooms found in newer styles. The soundproofing and blackout curtains in the rooms are excellent. The hotel service is very good, and there are plenty of staff in the lobby. The price during the Chinese New Year period was quite high, but it would offer great value for money at regular prices.

This Chinese New Year, instead of joining the bustling crowds, I chose to stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich for a peaceful, introspective getaway. I brought my family along to celebrate the New Year here. Outside, there might have been fireworks, but inside, it was just the quiet comfort of books and warm tea. In this non-stop world, sometimes being able to simply zone out for a bit, or slowly enjoy a cup of tea without rushing, is truly something to celebrate. The New Year doesn't have to be about hectic travel and exhaustion; it can be about finding peace within yourself, and in a warm space, hearing your inner 'Happy New Year.' This Spring Festival, staying at the Sofitel felt like stepping into a warm, open, and inviting hotel. The New Year activities in the lobby were a big hit with guests, and the free couplet writing was a really creative touch. Mia at the front desk was also incredibly, incredibly enthusiastic with her service.

Dusit Thani Hot Springs Resort A Thai-style hot spring hotel with a good amount of space. Its more than 100 small villas are built along the hillside, following the terrain. Guests can get around the hotel using golf carts, and staff proactively help with luggage. It has that laid-back Southeast Asian resort vibe. Each small villa has its own hot spring tub in the courtyard, so you can fill it up and soak whenever you want, which is much more pleasant than public hot springs. It's also great for photos. The in-room mini-bar drinks are free, and they even gave a complimentary small bottle of wine. The toiletries are L'Occitane. Aside from other issues, the natural environment and service are excellent. However, the rooms are really showing their age and haven't been well-maintained. The curtains are difficult to draw, and some tiles are broken and haven't been repaired. The washbasin area design isn't very practical and is inconvenient to use. The hairdryer quality is quite poor and not very effective. The public hot spring area experience also wasn't great; there are too few signs, and the dim lighting is quite disappointing. It's easy to trip in the dark, which is quite dangerous. Breakfast is quite varied, with fresh ingredients for made-to-order noodles, wontons, and excellent toppings like beef offal, radish, and preserved vegetables with minced pork. The freshly made rice noodle rolls had a skin that was too thick and not much meat. The preserved egg and lean pork congee had plenty of preserved egg and meat slices, and the seasoning was good.

No car? No problem! My BFF and I had the ultimate chill-out hot spring getaway in Conghua! ♨️ 🚖 Transportation (A must-read for those without a car): Before we left, I was worried about not having a car, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary! We took a Didi Shunfeng (rideshare), and it was super convenient! 🏨 Check-in Experience: We booked a king-sized bed room, and it was really spacious. The balcony overlooked the Liuxi River, and it was so relaxing to sit out there in the afternoon, sipping tea and chatting. The front desk staff were so thoughtful during check-in; they told us the hot spring area was open until midnight, so there was no need to rush. ♨️ Hot Spring Area: For us girls, the most important part is the photo-ops! 📸 The infinity pool was incredibly photogenic, especially at sunset when the water reflected the light beautifully. There were so many different pools to try; we went through them all. My favorite was the rose pool – it smelled amazing! Special shout-out: free cucumber masks! My friend and I put on masks and chatted – truly a wellness experience, haha! 🍽️ Dinner: Since we didn't have a car and didn't want to venture far, we just went to the hotel's German Beer Plaza. We ordered some craft beer and grilled fish. The portions were huge; it was more than enough for two of us. The atmosphere was very relaxing. In the evening, there were even fireworks on the bridge, which gave it a festive, New Year's vibe. The whole resort felt very quiet and vacation-like. 📌 Summary: Even without a car, Bishuiwan is still a perfect choice for a getaway near Guangzhou. No need for planning or worrying about itineraries. It's easy to get here from the city, and the hotel has everything – dining, accommodation, hot springs, and entertainment. It’s perfect for lazy people like us who just want to relax without the hassle of driving! 👯‍♀️

My room was a luxurious suite with private bath tub (around hkd 3000 for two nights including breakfast). Hardware is definitely exceptional. However when it comes to service it is below standard: 1) front desk - service was poor without any greetings such as bell boy. Front desk officers were unhappy without any eye contact when they talk to you. No hospitality at all; 2) breakfast - the quality both food and service were not up to a 4 or 5 star service. Table was not clean, staffs were almost unfriendly, except one female manager and one staff, all staffs were rushing their task and unwelcoming. I believe the hotel management need to motivate their staff ,otherwise, people won’t come again. 3) Amnenties - room is a luxurious suite with private bath tub, massage chair, kitchen , dining table and queen bed. The tub was not very clean, with water splitting . Such a waste as their service was not meeting the standard of what it is expected to be a 5- star resort. (The environment, garden were nicely decorated indeed) The Hot Spring pool is well known but I have’s try so cannot comment. I won’t come to this resort again, if the service of the hotel haven’t improved. And I won’t recommend travelers with kids who is looking for a family friendly and good service resort. P.S.: Parking spaces were spacious and free

Brought the elderly along to stay at the Biquan Sky Garden Hotel. The suite was just big enough for us. They have free parking, and the scenery is beautiful. There were a lot of people setting off fireworks at night, which was absolutely stunning. The facilities are a bit old and the bathroom had a slight smell, but it didn't really affect the overall experience. The complimentary fruit platter with bananas, apples, oranges, and dragon fruit was delicious. Breakfast was quite good, and the hot springs offered chrysanthemum tea and ginger tea, plus there were performances to watch, which was great.

The staff were polite and courteous. The room wasn't very big, but for the price, it was pretty good. It was clean and hygienic, though the facilities felt a bit outdated, like they were from many years ago. However, there were no strange odors in the room. Overall, it was decent for the price. The transportation was very convenient, right on Huanshi East Road. There are also plenty of great food and drink options nearby, all within easy walking distance. Zhixin Middle School, Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center are all about a ten-minute walk away. The Orange Hotel is just across the street, and there's a Starbucks right next door.

Second time staying at a W Hotel, and I'm very satisfied with the Guangzhou W. **Location:** It's right in the core Pearl River area, making it very convenient to walk or take a taxi to the museum or Canton Tower. **Facilities:** Excellent. The room was much more spacious than my last stay in Singapore, with a separate walk-in closet and bathroom, and a bathtub. The gym and pool were both great, even with kids. **Service:** Very good. They were always responsive to requests, and even delivered takeout directly to the room. Breakfast was a little less impressive than in Singapore, without the à la carte options, but the beef ball noodle soup was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be back!

During my business trip to Guangzhou, I stayed at your hotel and had a very satisfying overall experience. I especially want to thank the front desk staff, Shirley and Beaver. Their smiles were warm, and their service was impeccable. They proactively upgraded me to a 'Premier Room' free of charge and included breakfast for the following day. Breakfast was served in a beautiful garden setting with a wide variety of food choices. Shirley also thoughtfully gave me a refrigerator magnet as a souvenir. This proactive approach to providing value-added service made me feel truly cared for and respected, creating a genuine 'home away from home' feeling. The only minor letdown was during check-out on the 25th. I needed to get my deposit refunded, but the lobby Wi-Fi took a while to connect, and I was in a hurry to catch my high-speed train, which made me a bit anxious. Although everything was eventually processed smoothly, the staff member forgot to provide me with a room receipt. I kindly request that the hotel send a digital copy of my accommodation receipt to the email address associated with my booking. Thank you for your assistance. Overall, your hotel's service quality is commendable, and a special thanks goes to Shirley and Beaver for their outstanding performance. I look forward to staying with you again!

Even though there were many guests during Chinese New Year, everything was still orderly. The location is excellent, very close to Canton Tower. You can walk to Huacheng Square to admire the view from afar or take one subway stop to get to the base of the tower. Facilities: The room is quite spacious, and the hotel is easy to find. There's a small convenience store just around the corner downstairs. On the ground floor, there's a delivery shelf for takeout, and a few delivery robots can bring food up to your room. You need to go to the 17th-floor lobby first to access the rooms downstairs. During peak times, there might be a bit of a wait. The breakfast selection is decent. The room is equipped with a high-power hairdryer and a mirror with integrated lighting, showing great attention to detail throughout. Hygiene: The lobby, room, and other areas were all quite clean. Environment: The 17th-floor lobby, though not large, has a unique and luxurious decor. Since all guest rooms are on higher floors, the view from the room is generally good. Odd-numbered rooms might be a bit closer to the building opposite. Service: I'd like to particularly commend the hotel's service: all staff members were very polite and courteous, and would proactively ask if you needed assistance. It's safe to say they were always ready to help!

Checked in on Chinese New Year's Eve, and the service was amazing! It was a truly delightful and relaxing experience. The room was clean and tidy, and we received complimentary welcome fruits and desserts, which my child absolutely loved. The evening dessert soup was also delicious! The indoor pool wasn't huge, but thankfully it wasn't crowded, and the water temperature was just right. It's a shame our onward travel plans were already set, so we could only stay for one night. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, this will be my top choice! I don't usually take photos, but here are a few snaps my child took!

Overall, this Park Hyatt is quite disappointing. Let's start with the carpets in the hallways – they're shocking, full of stains. Can you believe this is a 3000+ RMB hotel? At least the room's cleanliness was alright. The hotel's location is excellent; it was very pleasant to take a walk in Haixinsha after dinner. During the Chinese New Year, we had to wait for a table at breakfast. I waited for half an hour and was starving. The waiter we encountered at Yue Jing Xuan was a rare highlight. I asked, 'Did I only order one meat dish?' and he replied, 'No problem, many people order lighter dishes on the first day of the New Year.' His emotional intelligence was impressive, and the service was excellent. The spa was also a letdown. It was so cold the whole time that I couldn't fall asleep, which rarely happens to me during a spa treatment! In comparison, I really loved the heated massage beds at the Sanya EDITION.

The hotel is located on Dongfeng Road, a relatively bustling area, so dining and amenities nearby are quite convenient. The room was pretty spacious, though the facilities were a bit dated. However, it was still quite clean. The bed was large enough and the bedding was comfortable. The room lighting was generally a bit dim, and the air conditioning seemed to only blow cold air. The water pressure in the bathroom was low around 11 PM. I've stayed here many times for conferences before, but after more than half a year, the breakfast variety seems to have significantly decreased. Specifically, there were fewer hot Chinese dishes, and the only meat options were various sausages. However, the coffee, bread, and soy milk were still good. The hotel staff were generally quite friendly. Although parking in front of the hotel isn't very convenient, the staff member responsible for coordinating vehicles was very thoughtful and efficient.

The hotel is a bit old, so the facilities are showing their age. Breakfast was just okay; there was a long line for noodles, and they weren't quick to replenish dishes! I didn't see any green vegetables for two days. There wasn't much in the way of Chinese food, though they did have some Western options like sushi and bread. It was quite busy during the New Year period, so I'd suggest adding more Chinese dishes. I'm not sure if the limited staff during Chinese New Year was the reason. Also, the hotel charges for children over 1.1m, and I'm not sure what the justification for that is. A child of that height can't sleep by themselves or eat independently at the buffet! Personally, I think this height restriction is unreasonable. The hotel also doesn't have a self-service laundry, and if you order takeout, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself as there are no delivery robots.

The Rosewood Guangzhou, a beacon of luxury in the city, offers an unparalleled 'cloud-level' experience, directly facing the Canton Tower. The Executive Suite's overall decor, service, and ambiance are all top-notch. The lounge offerings, from breakfast to happy hour, are consistently delicious and highly recommended. I particularly want to commend the entire butler team. Beyond simply responding promptly to guest requests, their proactive and enthusiastic approach truly elevated the experience. The welcome dessert, daily VIP fruit, beverages, and the special cake during the Chinese New Year's Eve were all wonderful touches, providing immense emotional value. I highly recommend experiencing the Executive Suites or higher at the Rosewood – it truly remains a unique establishment in Guangzhou. Looking forward to my next visit!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the T2 International Departures terminal. The hotel shuttle service is super convenient for transfers; it feels like the shuttle has been upgraded and is much better than the smaller one from two years ago. Since we were traveling with a child, they kindly upgraded our room and added an extra bed for free. A special thanks to the cleaning lady, Li Huifang, for her thoughtful assistance. There's a takeaway locker right outside the hotel entrance downstairs, which makes ordering food delivery very convenient. The room facilities are a bit dated and could use a modern renovation.

It’s good for a short stay and not far from Renhe street where you can go for shopping. Receptionist No. 8012 was incredibly sweet, helpful, and polite. One of the reasons I’m giving this hotel a high rating is because she was very nice. They provide free shuttle service from the airport. Once you arrive, go upstairs to gate 45 and they’ll come to pick you up. Very convenient.

What to Prepare for a Trip to China?

  • Visa & Entry Tips China’s 240-hour visa-free transit policy now covers 54 countries, incl. the US, UK, Canada, and Brazil, allowing up to 10 days during layovers. Learn more about China Entry Tips to land in China easily.
  • Getting Connected VPNs are vital for accessing Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc in China. Set one up before arriving. China eSIMs are the easiest option for data and bypassing restrictions. Pocket Wi-Fi devices work best for group but are pricier and require pickup/return.
  • Money Exchange & Tax Refunds Exchange money in China banks (better rates than airports). ATMs accept foreign cards, but notify your bank first. For tax refunds, spend over ¥500 at stores with a "Tax-Free" sign. Keep receipts and get forms stamped at customs before departure.

Must-Have Apps in China

  • China Payment Apps Forget cash. Chinese use Alipay (I like it better) or WeChat Pay to pay for everything in China. Scan a QR code at noodle stalls, metros, even temples. Link your foreign Visa/Mastercard before landing.
  • China Map Apps Amap (Gaode Map) & Baidu Map (limited English) is what locals use, with real-time navigation, metro/bus routes, and traffic updates. Apple Maps does a good job too if you're already an IOS user.
  • China Transport Apps Street taxis are cheap, but drivers rarely speak English. Use China Taxi App like DiDi (China’s Uber)—set your destination in English, pay by Alipay.
  • China Travel Apps 15+ China trips taught me: Use Trip.com. It's the best English app for booking China trains/flights/hotels + finds Trip.com deals.
  • China Dating Apps Locals use Tantan (China’s Tinder) and Momo. WeChat’s “People Nearby” works too, but expect language barriers unless your Mandarin’s decent.
  • China Food App Use Meituan (also helps find nearby restaurants) or Ele.me for food delivery—both have English mode. No English menu in restaurants? Scan the QR with Alipay's translator.
