The Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka, nestled in the serene and elegant Nakanoshima area, offers incredibly convenient access. A free shuttle bus runs to and from Osaka Station every 15 minutes, and there's also a pre-booked shuttle service to Universal Studios Japan. The rooms are spacious and clean, with some being recently renovated to offer a modern and comfortable experience. The breakfast is abundant, and the service is polite and attentive. With a convenience store and shops downstairs, the facilities are comprehensive. This hotel offers great value for money and is perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|0.76km from city center
🌟 **Stunning High-Altitude Views, Osaka's Nightscape at Your Fingertips** The biggest selling point of this hotel is undoubtedly its high-rise location! All guest rooms are situated on the 16th floor and above. We were on a high floor, and through the room's enormous windows, the entire cityscape of Osaka unfolded beneath us. At night, the traffic lights on Midosuji Avenue looked like a golden river, and the distant Umeda Sky Building and Namba's high-rises glittered with lights. This feeling of being surrounded by the entire city was truly dreamy; I couldn't stop taking photos. 🚇 **Excellent and Convenient Location** The hotel is located on Osaka's main thoroughfare, Midosuji Avenue. While in a bustling area, it offers a peaceful retreat. Transportation is incredibly convenient; it's just a 3-5 minute walk from Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 13). Whether you're heading to Shin-Osaka for the Shinkansen or going shopping in Umeda or Shinsaibashi, it's only one subway stop away, or even walkable. * **Shopper's Paradise:** Walk or take one subway stop to Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street and Umeda Hankyu Department Store. * **Daily Conveniences:** Downstairs, there's a convenience store (7-Eleven), a drug store, and many local ramen shops and izakayas, so late-night dining is never a problem. 🛏️ **High-Quality Accommodation Facilities** The hotel's interior design is a modern, minimalist business style, very chic. The lobby is on the 15th floor, serving as both a reception area and a sky lounge with expansive views. * **Room Amenities:** For its class in Japan, this hotel offers surprisingly spacious rooms. There's plenty of space to open up suitcases. The attention to detail is excellent; in addition to standard toiletries, they even thoughtfully provide a hair straightener/curler, which is a lifesaver for women! The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the shower pressure is strong enough to wash away a day's fatigue. * **Executive Lounge:** If your budget allows, I highly recommend booking an executive floor room. The private lounge on the top floor offers unparalleled views. The afternoon tea desserts and happy hour cocktails are of high quality. Watching the sunset here while waiting for the night view creates an incredibly atmospheric experience.

This hotel offers a truly great overall experience. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent hygiene, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel environment is also very pleasant, with a comfortable atmosphere – not noisy at all, which allowed for a great rest. The staff were very enthusiastic, always ready to answer questions, and responded quickly. Both check-in and check-out were smooth. The breakfast had a wide variety, including a live noodle station and many local specialties, and everything tasted great. I stayed for several nights and had a very good overall experience. It's definitely worth recommending!

The hotel's location is super convenient, right above Takashimaya, and within walking distance of several other shopping districts – I was really pleased with that. Hotel Nikko is in a fantastic location! You can get to the lobby on the second floor right from the subway exit. Shinsaibashi is just across the street, making it super convenient for dining, accommodation, transportation, and shopping. The hotel's price isn't too high, and the facilities inside are very clean. Amazing stay for our family at Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel. The room was spotless, spacious and had an incredible city view. We also appreciated having connecting rooms, which made it much easier to look after our 2-year-old child comfortably during the trip. The location was super convenient with direct access to the station and shopping mall. Service from the staff was warm, professional and very helpful throughout our stay. Facilities were excellent and the hotel felt luxurious yet comfortable. Highly recommended for families visiting Osaka! This is a really great hotel! It's surrounded by convenience stores, restaurants, and two metro stations, yet it's surprisingly quiet, and the soundproofing is excellent. The room was very clean too. I saw online that it was renovated in 2023. We booked a triple room for our family of three, and it was a bit snug, but that's a minor point considering all the good things. We could still open our 28-inch suitcase in the hallway right outside the door. Downstairs, there are even manga comics to read – even though I can't understand Japanese, it's still a nice touch. They even have Kagura Hachi! It’s fantastic. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Osaka.

The location is excellent and very convenient, though the room is a bit small – a common characteristic of Japanese hotels. However, they offer two cleaning options: the 'simple' mode is indeed very basic. The toiletries provided are Kao, not Pola.

Great value for money! The room had all the essential amenities, and the Japanese-style decor made it feel cozy and clean. The location is very convenient. I stayed here for one night on my way from Kyoto to Osaka for a flight, and it was easy to get to Shinsaibashi in the evening and Osaka Castle Park early the next morning. A small suggestion: it can be a bit noisy facing the street, so if you're a light sleeper, remember to bring earplugs. (Oops, I forgot to take photos!)

Osaka Station/Umeda/Yodoyabashi/Hommachi Osaka|0.52km from city center
Highly recommend! First off, the location is fantastic. It's close to the subway, JR, Hankyu, and Hanshin lines, so you can get to surrounding cities and the airport without needing to transfer. Plus, you can choose the most cost-effective routes, saving both time and money. Secondly, for a hotel of this price in Japan, the room size is quite generous. You can easily open a 26-inch suitcase and still have room to move around, which is a big plus. Thirdly, downstairs there's a Lawson convenience store and a pharmacy, along with various small restaurants. Directly across the street is a shopping mall, and you can access the subway and train stations directly from its underground level, which is super convenient in the summer. Finally, I have to mention that the underground shopping mall's pathways are quite complex, so if you're directionally challenged, proceed with caution. Even with Google Maps, you'll still need a good sense of direction.

This is my second time staying at this hotel in Umeda, and check-in was very smooth. The lobby is on the 19th floor, and all the guest rooms are above the 21st floor. Floors 13-16 have dining options at the LUCA department store, which is also a good choice. The hotel offers great views; you can see mountains in the distance, though the window was a bit blurry on a rainy day. Daimaru department store is right on the 1st floor. Umeda has four train stations, and you can take the Midosuji Line (M line) four stops to Shinsaibashi or Namba for 240 yen – great for shopping and dining. On my last day, the HARUKA train took about an hour to the airport. Overall, it's incredibly convenient.

Due to my itinerary, this was my second stay during this trip. The staff were extremely friendly, and their English was quite good. This hotel has a sustainability concept, means no water bottles or change bedsheets daily. My family is lucky to stay at the 5th floor where there’s easy access to washing machine and water dispenser. The cleanliness of the bedroom: the bed a bit dusty, making my legs itchy. Toilet is small typical Japanese bathrooms. Luggage delivery wise, u need to scan a qrcode and do it ourselves and later pass to the front desk before 10am. Staff service is professional, speak short and sweet. Location wise is quite convenient. Walking distance to kuromon market and 10min walk to shinsaibashi from namba. From namba station to hotel, there’s a long walk so families with old members need to find a cab. Easy to get a cab or uber since hotel is located roadside. For a 4-star hotel with expensive room price, there’s many “self-service” and hygiene issues I don’t think is worth it.

Absolutely top-notch! I'd have to say that while it's incredibly convenient for USJ, other attractions are a tiny bit further out. I'm not giving it a perfect score just so they don't get too proud. Everything else was super, super, super satisfying! The hot springs are fantastic, with an open-air bath. The sauna was incredibly popular and packed, so I was a bit bummed I didn't get to use it. Plus, there's a relaxation area after the hot springs where you can enjoy the night view, which is also great. It's just a shame some couples, for whatever reason, didn't go back to their rooms and hogged the space there 😅. The razors come with soap! And the toothbrush cups are color-coded!!! These little details are truly amazing! They also gave two full-body 'Kyuusoku Jikan' patches. I happened to sprain my lower back that day, and after a hot spring soak, the sprained area got really warm. Luckily, they had these patches – even though they weren't medicated! They truly saved me. The next day, I could move freely and my trip wasn't disrupted at all! The bed was also super comfortable! And from the window, it was even a river view room 🤣. When I left the hotel on the second day, the lobby was changing its flower display to hydrangeas, and it always smelled lovely, not like a cheap air freshener. I seriously can't praise this place enough!!

Right next to Shin-Imamiya subway station, so getting around is incredibly convenient. The front desk staff rotate, with two people on duty at a time, including locals, Chinese, Koreans, and Indians. There's a women's shower on the 4th floor, men's showers on the 6th, and a men's bathhouse and microwave on the 10th. Downstairs, there are convenience stores, pharmacies, and places to eat nearby. The room was super small, but quite clean, and they provided towels and plastic slippers. Because it's close to the train tracks, there's a bit of noise. Plus, there's some noise from motorbikes speeding by. I stayed for 3 days, and there was hardly any noise from other guests.

Staying at Zentis Osaka was a truly unique experience, like living inside a work of art. Designer Tara Bernerd masterfully blends the subtlety of Japanese culture, the elegance of old money British style, and Nordic minimalism into every corner of the hotel. Each room has a slightly different design, embodying the hotel's 'Art-in-Residence' concept. From the calligraphy on the walls to the cups you drink from, everything is crafted by Japanese artists, while the furniture is sourced from renowned Nordic designers. Every moment of your stay is spent experiencing and utilizing art, providing a subtle, enriching nourishment for both body and soul, truly reflecting the hotel's name: Zentis. I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast. The Michelin-starred chef has curated a menu that includes Western, Japanese, and vegetarian options, along with a small self-service buffet. The hotel is situated in the most vibrant part of Umeda. Just outside, a row of understated buildings hides many famous Japanese restaurants, most of which require reservations. You'll also find McDonald's and convenience stores just around the corner. It's only a five-minute walk to Central Island Park, and during my visit, the rose garden was in full bloom, which was definitely a bonus. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. • Is Osaka Metro covered by JR Pass?

No, the Osaka Metro is not covered by the JR Pass. The JR Pass primarily covers Japan Railways (JR) lines, including certain shinkansen (bullet train) routes. For traveling around Osaka using the subway and other non-JR lines, you'll need to purchase separate tickets or use a prepaid card like ICOCA.
