This was the most hostel-ly hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Truly a blast to the past. It was about a 15/20 minute walk to the sisters lockout. The walk back is up a hill, but there is a bus. I thought it was cute that there was a movie on at 8pm every night, and you can request/suggest a film using the form at reception. My only suggestion is adding some plug sockets next to each bunkbed.

This was a mixed bag. The receptionist on my check-in day was great, went above and beyond. The other receptionists were okay, but the biggest issue was that the reception was not attended the whole time when it was supposedly open. It also says check-in until 10pm on here, but the information in the hotel says the reception closes at 9pm. The room was okay, I wouldn't say it was very dark as other reviewers complained. However, the windowshade in the bathroom had a lot of mold growing on it and there were other areas that would benefit from better cleaning/maintenance. The location was great, about 10-15 minutes from the station, around 25 minutes to the falls and 5-10 minutes to the supermarkets and restaurants.

It was a very nice hotel. Convenient location, next to the train station and also close to the Hop-On Hop-Off visitor shop. Lots of nice restaurants near by, highly recommend the Thai restaurant called ”Thai Square”. The interior of the hotel had a very charming aesthetic to it and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy. The only downside is that there wasn't any AC in the room, but they did provide a fan thankfully. It was much needed after a long day of hiking during the summer season. Overall, highly recommend.

There's even a special charm to it – the smell of antiquity, creaky floors, fireplaces, and retro furniture. The room is quite small, but the bed is comfortable, and there's parking available. The complimentary continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Since I was with my family, this made things much easier—we were able to explore the area without carrying all our bags around. The room was clean, and the location was perfect—close to everything and very accessible. We had a great day and would definitely stay here again!

This hotel made everything very convenient from the moment I arrived. Communication was easy and efficient, and the staff were very helpful in assisting with check-in arrangements. They also allowed me to store my luggage, which made my travel plans much more flexible. The natural environment is very good, between the three sisters and the echo point, the supermarket, it is very convenient, before the 9th to the landscape can avoid the tour group. The hotel environment and price are still very good, breakfast is very limited, there is time to eat around, and the surrounding small shops are also very cute. The rooms are small, the facilities are old and common. There is no extra charge for parking. In the morning and evening, the mountains are very cold, and there are electric heaters in the cabinets.

As soon as you step into this hotel, it feels like you have gone back to the old times, because the hotel has many years of history and has a retro feel. The scenery outside the restaurant window is very beautiful and worth the money. The only drawback is that the transportation is not very convenient. If you have a car, there is free parking, but I don’t have a car, so I can only take the slope from Katoomba Railway Station to the hotel. It is recommended to come here by car.

The location is close to the Three Sisters Peak, but it is far away from the lively urban area. It is not convenient for eating and shopping. However, the advantage is that it has an unparalleled window view. After a tiring day, you can check in and rest directly, and have breakfast directly at the hotel. The dinner was also quite delicious. I rested leisurely in the room the next morning before checking out. The bathroom equipment was quite complete and of high quality. In short, it completely met the quality I expected when I spent a lot of money to book a room.

We stayed at Kurrara Hotel Guesthouse as a last-minute booking due to limited availability, but it ended up being a really enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was learning about the history of the property when we arrived, including its origins as a retreat and recovery place for visitors from Sydney. That historical charm gave the stay a unique atmosphere. The guesthouse had several quiet lounge and sitting areas to relax in, which added to the experience, although we only stayed one night and had limited time to fully enjoy everything before checkout. A major bonus for us was the EV charging station, which made travelling with our electric car much easier. The location was also very convenient — around a 10-minute walk to the Three Sisters lookout area and another short walk into town for dinner and cafes. Breakfast was simple but good, although quite busy since the hotel was full and breakfast was only served during a short time window. Overall, it was a peaceful and comfortable stay, and we would definitely consider staying there again.

The stay itself was spacious, though the bed was just okay, perhaps the electric blanket made it feel hard and a bit uncomfortable. It had air conditioning and a balcony. Aside from that, the location is great, right in the center of Leura village next to delicious pizza and ice cream. It's a 6-minute drive to Katoomba center and 12 minutes to the Scenic World (cable car station). It's also right off the highway exit, and there's a Woolworths supermarket nearby. There's an indoor car park, and they'll give you a remote control key for it. Everything else was good, except for the hot water issue.

It is better to ride at the station in front of one station because there are not many people. No dryer, tissue. the hotel check-in counter is at the restaurant It was a little difficult to understand at the accounting. I was able to shop at the supermarket for dinner and get a fork and knife at the restaurant.

I booked this hotel for our 5-year anniversary, as we thought it would be a lovely place to celebrate, with a nice location, great views, and the chance to enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Since only garden-view rooms were available on Trip.com, we booked one, and I also mentioned in the notes that it was for our anniversary. While we weren’t expecting an upgrade, we were disappointed to find our room’s “view” was almost completely blocked by a large tree. For a special occasion, I had hoped for at least a small gesture or a nicer placement of the room. The restaurant staff were friendly, but it was clear they struggled when things got busy, which affected the overall dining experience. Finally, at checkout, we weren’t even asked how our stay was, which left us feeling undervalued as guests. For what was meant to be a memorable anniversary, the experience fell short of expectations.

A recently restored 1940s holiday flat one block from The 3 Sisters, Echo Point and the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. It has polished hardwood floors, a restored kitchen and bathroom and Mid 20th Century Modern details and furnishings. Sun fills the space during the daytime and a beautiful 'Eco Smart' open fireplace keeps it cosy in the evening. Facilities/ EntertainmentThe Flat has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. There is also a substantial rollaway single bed that can be placed in any of the rooms. All the beds have new high quality mattresses and linen. For weekend chefs the kitchen is well equipedThis is our holiday house, we do not live in the area and therefore we do not provide perishables such as milk and butter. There is a TV, DVD, Video and CD players, turntable and iPod dock as well as a wide selection of games, books, music and movies. Perfect for a couple or solo traveler, this restored 1940’s holiday flat is sunny, comfortable and a short walk to the most important views and walks in Katoomba.The spaceA one bedroom holiday flat at ground level, just five minute walking distance to the famous Three Sisters and Echo Point. This is a perfect location for hiking.The floor area is 40 sq. meters, larger than most studios and smaller than the average one bedroom urban apartment. It opens to shared garden spaces. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and built in wardrobe. The narrow bathroom has the original cast iron bath and basin. There is a hallway and a living room with dining table, lounge, TV/sound and a small kitchen. Please note there is no oven or dishwasher. There is however, an induction cooktop, microwave, electric fry pan, rice cooker, blender, toaster and jug. So you can definitely cook a meal if you don’t want to go out to one of the many restaurants and cafes in Katoomba and Leura.The flat is sunny, insulated and well heated with a gas fire, electric column heater and electric blanket.These apartments were purpose built as holiday flats in 1950. Rather than renovate we have restored them, keeping as many of the original features as possible. It is furnished with collected mid century items such as a 1960s Danish lounge and Eames dining table. We have attempted to create an interesting space that brings the original intent of the building back to life.Other things to noteThe flat is at ground level.Remember that this flat has been 'restored' not 'renovated'. Most of the surfaces are original (floors, tiles, bath fittings, kitchen cabinets) and have had over 70 years of use. In some places they are scratched or might appear dusty (e.g. edges of bathroom tiles and toilet base, hardwood floors). Please appreciate the patina and be reassured that all surfaces have been well cleaned. The reception is in the nearby 100-meter motel, which is not convenient. I didn't find it at first, and I made two calls in the free phone booth inside the parking lot outside the room. The rooms are small but well equipped. Opposite is the echo point shopping center, and 200 meters ahead is the echo point observatory, the scenery is great.

It was a very nice hotel. Convenient location, next to the train station and also close to the Hop-On Hop-Off visitor shop. Lots of nice restaurants near by, highly recommend the Thai restaurant called ”Thai Square”. The interior of the hotel had a very charming aesthetic to it and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfy. The only downside is that there wasn't any AC in the room, but they did provide a fan thankfully. It was much needed after a long day of hiking during the summer season. Overall, highly recommend.

The natural environment is very good, between the three sisters and the echo point, the supermarket, it is very convenient, before the 9th to the landscape can avoid the tour group. The hotel environment and price are still very good, breakfast is very limited, there is time to eat around, and the surrounding small shops are also very cute. The rooms are small, the facilities are old and common. There is no extra charge for parking. In the morning and evening, the mountains are very cold, and there are electric heaters in the cabinets.

This was the most hostel-ly hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Truly a blast to the past. It was about a 15/20 minute walk to the sisters lockout. The walk back is up a hill, but there is a bus. I thought it was cute that there was a movie on at 8pm every night, and you can request/suggest a film using the form at reception. My only suggestion is adding some plug sockets next to each bunkbed.

I booked this hotel for our 5-year anniversary, as we thought it would be a lovely place to celebrate, with a nice location, great views, and the chance to enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Since only garden-view rooms were available on Trip.com, we booked one, and I also mentioned in the notes that it was for our anniversary. While we weren’t expecting an upgrade, we were disappointed to find our room’s “view” was almost completely blocked by a large tree. For a special occasion, I had hoped for at least a small gesture or a nicer placement of the room. The restaurant staff were friendly, but it was clear they struggled when things got busy, which affected the overall dining experience. Finally, at checkout, we weren’t even asked how our stay was, which left us feeling undervalued as guests. For what was meant to be a memorable anniversary, the experience fell short of expectations.

Been to the estate a few times over many years. Always loving the view, the food and the great hospitality from the whole crew.
