I think the location is a plus, and the hotel staff provided good service. The breakfast was also good with a nice view, and the staff even helped prepare coffee. The bathroom was spacious, but many things were broken. The drain in my room had issues, sometimes leaking water all over the floor. The metal toilet paper holder next to the toilet suddenly fell off, which startled me. The shower screen had a faulty seal at the bottom, preventing it from closing properly. The bathroom lights also flickered constantly, suggesting unstable voltage. My colleague, who was traveling with me, had a broken AC in their room the first night and had to switch. The second night, the replacement room lost power in the middle of the night, forcing them to grope in the dark to switch rooms again. Compared to their experience, my issues seem minor.

1. On June 17th, I had a 'Still in' sign on my door during the day. Although I went out for lunch, I didn't remove the sign as I didn't want anyone entering my room. However, when I returned in the afternoon, I found that the room card I had left in the power slot was gone, stolen! I immediately went downstairs to report to the front desk that my room card had been stolen from the slot inside my room. The front desk had no idea who had entered my room, meaning the person who stole the card could re-enter my room at any time. There was absolutely no security during my stay. The front desk staff were completely unhelpful and showed a passive attitude. 2. On June 18th, around 9 PM, I was taking the elevator downstairs when it broke down and wouldn't open. I was trapped inside, continuously pressing the emergency button. It took several minutes for someone to respond, but still no one came to help me get out. The elevator was a sealed space with no air circulation, which was very uncomfortable. In the end, I had to use all my strength to pry open the door myself to escape. I immediately went downstairs to complain to the front desk. There were two staff members on duty at the time; one sat there as if nothing had happened, while the other had a terrible attitude, stating that he had called maintenance and that the broken elevator was not his problem. I asked, 'Shouldn't you have helped me get out first? If maintenance never arrived, would I have been stuck in an airless elevator?' This hotel clearly has no SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for elevator breakdowns, simply abandoning guests trapped inside. When I complained after freeing myself, instead of apologizing and comforting me, the duty staff member argued with me, saying he was only responsible for calling maintenance and nothing else. He even dared me to complain to hotel management, saying he didn't care. There was absolutely no service quality. 3. From the theft of my room card from inside my room to being trapped in a broken elevator with no assistance, this hotel offers absolutely no security and terrible service quality.

The downside is, the bed (mattress) is hollow (curved) not comfortable; and our room seems to have some odors (like sewage) from time to time.

The hotel proactively upgraded our room. After we checked in and stored our luggage, we went out for some shopping. When we returned, the front desk staff had changed shifts, and they told us they couldn't find our reservation in the system. I broke out in a cold sweat! We explained that we had already checked in and our luggage was stored there. Fortunately, an experienced staff member nearby opened a drawer, pulled out our room key, and informed us that our room had been upgraded.

Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay… The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up). The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina. The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window! The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage). Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations. The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed. The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day. There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel. The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved.

We stayed for just one night as a family of four. This is a very beautiful and comfortable apartment near the Old Port. We were amazed at how so many amenities could be packed into such a relatively small space—among other things, it had a small oven and a dishwasher! Beautiful design, a wonderful terrace, and a charming dormer window on the second floor. Super-clean bathroom with fragrant toiletries. Our children said this was the best accommodation we had on our trip to the Côte d'Azur. Thank you!

The Carrefour supermarket across the street has an underground parking garage, which is very convenient, just a 2-3 minute walk away. The location is excellent, with a subway station and many restaurants nearby, making transportation and dining very easy. Hotel facilities and service are average. At night, the nearby bars can be quite loud, and there's occasional motorcycle noise on the street, making it a bit noisy overall.

The location is excellent; a few minutes' walk to the right are Carrefour and the train station, and about ten minutes more to the Palais Longchamp. To the left, it's an even bigger concentration of attractions, with plenty to see and do along the way. The facilities are incredibly complete; you could practically live here.

First off, the location is great. It's not in the Old Port, but it's not too far, within walking distance. There's a pretty large pharmacy right downstairs with very reasonable prices. The front desk staff member spoke fluent Chinese and was very enthusiastic. We had an early flight and planned to just store our luggage and head out, but they gave us a room straight away, allowing us to freshen up after a long journey. The street next door has what's considered the largest commercial center. On the third floor, there's an observation deck – perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the sea breeze, very picturesque. In fact, on our last day, when we were considering staying an extra night in Marseille, our first thought was to come back to this hotel.

During this trip, I was fortunate enough to choose this hotel as my resting place, and it certainly gave me an unforgettable stay. First of all, the check-in process is extremely convenient. Step into the sea of sunset The environment is really pleasant! I feel that I can step into the sparkling sea from the room, and even the bathroom is designed with light. In the afternoon, the coast downstairs is full of young people enjoying the sun, playing music, jumping in the sea, drinking beer, and being very happy. But at night it was very quiet, and there were waves as white noise, and I slept very comfortably. The hotel's top-floor open-air swimming pool and the bottom indoor swimming pool are divided equally, each with its own comfort. The hotel also intimately provides a small basket for easy bath towels. I thought there would be some distance from the city center, but I didn't expect to drive for a few minutes. Not far from the side is the prestigious sunset restaurant. Maybe the only problem is that there is no parking lot, and I look forward to thinking of a solution as soon as possible.

The service was friendly and quick, and we really appreciated the free, drinkable water dispenser in the lobby! There's also a Lidl supermarket down the street for small groceries. The only minor drawback was that the toilet flush wasn't very powerful.

Nicely renovated modern and clean apartment on the 2nd floor - there is no lift and a narrow spiral staircase so pls be aware of that before booking. Small but has everyrhing needed. Secure and safe. Centrally located (because of its location there is street noise until late and garbage truck early morning). - easy walk to the old port and attractions. Paid parking nearby. Very clear instructions given plue communication was super good with the apartment manager.

I felt very safe and the place was clean and tidy. All the rooms were fully equipped, and even had a balcony! The king-sized bed was super comfy and the air conditioning system worked perfectly. The USB charging ports were really convenient. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area is also great, with a 24-hour convenience store downstairs. It's also within walking distance to the city center and the Old Port.

Lovely modern aparthotel Very clean and modern style rooms with large walk in shower, memory foam bed made for comfortable sleeping and the bed being a full side instead of two singles pushed together was a bonus compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The tv had option to connect Netflix which we found to fit the style of the room. The reception team were friendly and very helpful. The lobby was unique and different, plenty space to lounge with an array of different chairs/ couches to enjoy while you wait with lots of available charging ports nearby too. There was a pool area with a sauna and hammam, this was an additional €10pp to use for an hour but very nice facilities to use. We stayed in the panoramic sea view room and it was worth the view however there was construction so we couldn’t open the window or have the curtains back to enjoy the view properly. However if we return we would book again and would recommend to stay here 😊

JPGuest UserThe staff were extremely helpful, and the location offers excellent access to Marseille Saint-Charles Station. The food was great as well. I would highly recommend Toyoko Inn for anyone visiting Marseille.

Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay… The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up). The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina. The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window! The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage). Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations. The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed. The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day. There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel. The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved.

I stayed twice and I chose to cancel when I booked, but after the first stay, I completely dispelled my concerns and returned to Marseille again to continue to choose to live here. I have stayed in other hotels near the old port and I still like this area. The second time I came to check in, I met a nearby football field on the day of the game. I saw many fans along the way. It made people feel that Marseille is a very passionate city.

Disappointing stay for a 4-star hotel. On my first night, the air conditioning didn’t work for the whole hotel and the room was around 25°C, making it very uncomfortable. The front desk was not helpful and no solution to be provided when I reported the issue. The pool and cleanliness is ok. Overall, not up to the expected standard.
