The location is super convenient, right in the heart of the Old Port. There's a subway station right outside that takes you to the train station, and plenty of restaurants nearby. It's also within walking distance to the Museum of Mediterranean Archaeology, the starting point for the sightseeing train, and the graffiti street. We were upgraded to a room with a view, which was lovely. The downside is that it's really noisy facing the street at night; you can hear all sorts of sounds even past midnight, and the windows aren't soundproof. Light sleepers might have a hard time. The front desk and room service were both good. The breakfast... well, aside from the view, there's really nothing else worth mentioning.

The best hotel in Marseille! I was beyond satisfied! The bedding and kitchen were spotless, and they even offered luggage storage. The storage area is usually locked with a key, so your bags are kept very secure. I loved that they assigned us a quiet, smoke-free room with elevator access. No need to worry about the language barrier, as the staff are friendly and speak English. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms and kept impeccably clean, which was a huge plus. It’s also very convenient to be able to order room service via the web. The hotel's location in Marseille is fantastic as well!

Huge thanks to the incredibly friendly staff at the InterContinental Marseille! They kindly upgraded us to a suite for free, and the bellhop who brought our luggage up mentioned it was their largest room. Every time we stepped out into the hallway, we felt like we were staying in a grand manor. The hotel's location is perfect, and the building itself is stunning. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay… The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up). The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina. The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window! The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage). Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations. The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed. The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day. There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel. The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved.

The view from the room is gorgeous and worth the money. Restaurants and souvenir shops are lining up the area. Based on my limited stay I learn that Marseilles can give up different vibes only in a few block so the location of the hotel made me more comfortable. The AC works properly and there is an elevator. I believe there is also a car parking service but I don’t use it. The receptionists are professionals and helpful.

I almost didn't stay here after reading so many reviews, but once I checked in, I found it to be pretty good. First off, the location is a huge plus. It's only a 2-minute walk from the train station, which was incredibly convenient as I needed to take frequent trains to Aix these past few days. However, if you're planning to explore Marseille itself, staying closer to the main attractions would be better. This area is a bit far from the beach, and Marseille isn't known for being particularly safe at night. The hotel room isn't very big, and it lacks amenities like a fridge, kettle, coffee/tea bags, or cups. However, there is a bar in the lobby. Otherwise, the cleanliness and service were acceptable. I was pleasantly surprised that they allowed me to check in 3 hours early! On the downside, luggage storage does cost between 6-12 euros.

The hotel is very well located, especially for the Vélodrome stadium. It's very clean, and the check-in service was great on the day we arrived. The young men working there were really kind. We enjoyed our stay at the Vélodrome with our two daughters. However, on April 27th, we encountered a woman at the reception who handled the hotel payment poorly, causing us to be charged twice. Even though I clearly explained that I had already paid, I was unfortunately debited a second time. I had to call back to request a refund. After that, everything went smoothly, and we received our refund two days later. 🤩

Coming out of the train station, head towards Marseille's Arc de Triomphe. You'll know you're there when you see the Arc de Triomphe Hotel; the entrance is on the right and the hotel itself is on the left. If you have luggage, use the side entrance as the main entrance has steps. The rooms aren't cleaned daily, and extra towels come with an additional charge. It gets incredibly hot in the room, even though it doesn't get much direct sunlight. If the price difference isn't significant, I'd recommend booking a room with a balcony. Those rooms face outwards and offer a view of the Arc de Triomphe. There was a bit of a mix-up with my Ctrip reservation. The younger guy at the front desk couldn't find my booking, but the more experienced staff member was really helpful and sorted it out even before Ctrip could. The French lady at the front desk during check-out was excellent, very proactive, and even said goodbye in Chinese!

First off, the location is great. It's not in the Old Port, but it's not too far, within walking distance. There's a pretty large pharmacy right downstairs with very reasonable prices. The front desk staff member spoke fluent Chinese and was very enthusiastic. We had an early flight and planned to just store our luggage and head out, but they gave us a room straight away, allowing us to freshen up after a long journey. The street next door has what's considered the largest commercial center. On the third floor, there's an observation deck – perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the sea breeze, very picturesque. In fact, on our last day, when we were considering staying an extra night in Marseille, our first thought was to come back to this hotel.

Step into the sea of sunset The environment is really pleasant! I feel that I can step into the sparkling sea from the room, and even the bathroom is designed with light. In the afternoon, the coast downstairs is full of young people enjoying the sun, playing music, jumping in the sea, drinking beer, and being very happy. But at night it was very quiet, and there were waves as white noise, and I slept very comfortably. The hotel's top-floor open-air swimming pool and the bottom indoor swimming pool are divided equally, each with its own comfort. The hotel also intimately provides a small basket for easy bath towels. I thought there would be some distance from the city center, but I didn't expect to drive for a few minutes. Not far from the side is the prestigious sunset restaurant. Maybe the only problem is that there is no parking lot, and I look forward to thinking of a solution as soon as possible.

Overall, it was pretty good. We arrived at the hotel early and our room was already prepared, allowing us to check in ahead of time, which is excellent service by European standards. The parking lot is next door, but there's no direct elevator, which is slightly inconvenient if you're carrying luggage.

The room was rather small, but it had all the necessary amenities, so it was convenient. The breakfast was very good, with quality products and a wide variety. I don't know about the pool, as I didn't use it!

To be honest, we were quite disappointed with how old the room is. The vibe is very dull and even the air-conditioner looks like it was from the 90s. But the good thing is they have their private parking (need to pay another €15 per day) so that we can park our car inside and feel safer. However, I dont think we will be back the next time. The pictures we seen online are totally different lol.

When checking in, I had some personal requests that I hoped Ctrip and the hotel could help adjust. Although it wasn't successful in the end, I still appreciate the hotel front desk staff's patience and the small compensation they offered. This hotel has many advantages. The overall atmosphere is great, and some small details show a lot of care, such as the coffee machine and water dispenser in the lobby. Sometimes there are fresh croissants, and the staff even mentioned a kids' snack time in the afternoon, though my child didn't attend. The room layout is quite good, with a separate wet and dry area for the bathroom, and a clothes dryer in the shower. I wore valuable jewelry for over 20 days in Europe, but in Lyon, I took all my jewelry off because I didn't feel safe.

It's close to the metro station, and very convenient to the old town, the hospice, and Marseille Cathedral; the rooms are small and standard, so you need to bring your own toiletries; it's more cost-effective to choose a room with breakfast included, as the milk and bread are quite good, especially the mini croissants which are delicious!

The best hotel in Marseille! I was beyond satisfied! The bedding and kitchen were spotless, and they even offered luggage storage. The storage area is usually locked with a key, so your bags are kept very secure. I loved that they assigned us a quiet, smoke-free room with elevator access. No need to worry about the language barrier, as the staff are friendly and speak English. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms and kept impeccably clean, which was a huge plus. It’s also very convenient to be able to order room service via the web. The hotel's location in Marseille is fantastic as well!
